For Birth Control "I was scared to use birth control because of all the taboos that come with being a Christian. I am a newlywed and don't plan on having kids till 1-2 more years, which is why I decided to get on it. I was prescribed this one, then Lutera, and now back to Sronyx. In all honesty, I have not felt anything with Sronyx, but Lutera did make me cranky, which is the only thing I will say is bad. My hair has actually grown, although I am breaking out more than usual, but nothing I can't handle. I have suffered from depression and anxiety previously, but BC has not had a large effect on that, as I have been able to control it. Don't be scared to try something because of others' bad experiences. You will have to live it yourself in order to understand if something works for you or not."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about 4 months now. I loved it at first because my period was so light, and I normally have a more heavy flow. However, my light flow continued for 10-15 days per cycle. I had maybe 2 weeks in between each period, and they lasted so long. I had terrible chin acne, like I have never had before, and a lot of under-the-skin acne. It was nice at first, but I'm excited to switch."

For Birth Control "This was the second birth control I tried. The first made me very moody and irritable, so I switched to Sronyx, and it was great. I had absolutely no side effects. I've been on it for 3.5-4 years now, and I'm starting to notice some changes. I've been getting bad acne (I've never had acne in my life, maybe a spot a month). I'm not sure if this is due to my increasing age (22)/lifestyle habits or the BC. Also, I have gotten so moody, irritable, grumpy, anxious, and depressed (again, I don't know if I can say the pill caused this, but it slowly crept up on me, and I can't figure out another reason for it). I'm not sure if it was a long-term thing effect or what, but it's making my relationship with my boyfriend of 3 years suffer."

For Birth Control "Been on one month and two weeks. Unlike other birth controls, I had no nausea, which was great. I am always sick taking any other birth control pills. But, unfortunately, my acne gets too bad the week I take the inactive pills, so I am looking into different birth controls."

"I’ve been on Sronyx for exactly 3 months now, and so far it’s been a positive experience for me. I started taking it because I would experience debilitating cramps that would make me almost pass out from pain. I’ve already had 3 periods on this birth control, and they’ve been very manageable. I haven’t noticed any fluctuation in weight or emotions so far. I will say my skin isn’t looking the best, but I’ll take bad skin over terrible cramps any day."

"I started taking this pill on the first day of my period to help with PMDD. So far, it’s been 14 days and my period has not stopped, my normal period lasts 3-4 days. I was prescribed this to help regulate my mood due to my PMDD. So far, I still feel very anxious and depressed. My symptoms from PMDD still remain. I began to break out, but I have had no nausea or breast tenderness and no headache, but insomnia started presenting itself. I haven’t had a good night's sleep since I started the pill."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I have been on this medicine since this past February, and at first, it was great and actually helped to clear my face. But it was all downhill from there. I have such terrible acne and red patches on my face, and I hate going out without makeup on. I gained a lot of weight, and I am athletic, so I was maintaining a weight of about 145 pounds, and I now weigh about 170. This pill causes me an intense amount of bloating and stomach cramps. Like, they are literally debilitating and make me feel like I’m going to vomit! I get horrible headaches too, and this started when I was put on Sronyx. I do not recommend this pill at all! Made life a lot harder. I’m switching back to Medroxyprogesterone pills instead of a daily birth control pill so my periods come."

For Birth Control "Pharmacy keeps changing my birth control and eventually they gave me Sronyx. I hate it. I’ve had the worst experience with it so far. I don’t feel like myself, my hormones are all out of whack. It’s caused acne, which keeps coming back. Every other week, I have a new pimple, and they last for weeks, and they’re so dark and hurt. I used to have really bad acne and got it under control and had really pretty clear, smooth skin. Now it’s awful. I’m ashamed to walk out of the house without wearing makeup, my confidence is now low because of this. And it’s caused me to start spotting. I’ve never had these problems with my other birth controls. The only thing that it’s been helpful with is making me not pregnant, so it’s doing its job, but the side effects aren’t worth it for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sronyx for 4 weeks now and so far things I've noticed have been increased acne breakouts (not horribly), really bad bloating around my period, and some weight gain (luckily only 3 lbs). Other than that, there haven't been any other side effects."

For Birth Control "This is only my second month on birth control. The first month I was taking Orsythia, and it made my acne disappear within two weeks, and I absolutely loved it. I had no issues, and my boobs were starting to grow very slowly. I'm about three weeks into Sronyx, and my acne has worsened. I feel like Scarface. My boyfriend and I have great sex, so that's the only good thing about this. I've gained a couple pounds, but well, I am only three weeks in, and I have been a little stressed, so hopefully my skin goes back to normal. If not, I'm switching back to Orsythia!"

For Birth Control "My doctor recommended this birth control because I wanted shorter periods. I've been on this pill for 3 months now and I've been spotting for 2 1/2 of those months. I'm bloated all the time and my acne is bad. This is by far the worst pill I've ever been on."

For Birth Control "Despite reading bad reviews, I thought I would try out this birth control. At first, you get a tiny bit of acne, but then your skin is clearer than ever! Also, my periods are less painful and lighter."

For Birth Control "This BC helped my cramps tremendously, but gave me the worst acne of my life. It's cystic and lingers. I've been on it for a year exactly, and the acne only got worse."

For Birth Control "This is my first month taking Sronyx. It made me have brown discharge for two weeks, made my breasts sensitive, caused a breakout, and delayed my period. DO NOT RECOMMEND."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sronyx for 3 months after I got my 2nd IUD removed, and I regret not getting another IUD. I would much rather go through the pain of the IUD than live with constant yeast infections. The first month, I figured it was just my body getting used to something new. So, I treated my symptoms, and it went away. No change in my diet or lifestyle, then added 1 yogurt a day to my diet, still got a yeast infection. On top of yeast infections every month, my breasts hurt constantly, I have no sex drive, and I’m angry all the time, broke out with acne I have never had, and my face and hair oily. My boyfriend of 2 years was definitely not happy with these changes either. I finally changed to another form of birth control and have had no issues so far. A plus side of Sronyx, I didn’t get pregnant."
