For Birth Control "I received Sronyx from a free clinic, and I have been on it for over 3 years! I have literally tried every single birth control option they had available. Nothing has ever given me such perfect experiences as Sronyx has. While I'm on Sronyx, my periods are very light without cramps or pain. All my acne is gone, and my skin glows! And if I miss a pill, like clockwork, I would break out. Sronyx even regulates my weight and curbs my appetite, no lie. I notice other birth controls make you extremely hungry and gain weight, but Sronyx does not at all. I will never stray away from this pill. I absolutely love it!"

For Birth Control "I am finishing my third pack of Sronyx, and I love it. I didn't really have any problems adjusting. The first month, I did experience breast pain, one week of irritability, and just a couple of days of spotting. I had a couple of zits pop up around my period when I was off of the active pills. By the end of the second month, my skin is fine! I can honestly say this is a really good starter birth control pill. The low dose of hormones makes the transition very easy. My advice: of course, you will most likely experience some sort of side effect because of the hormones. Don't let the fear of a couple of zits or a few hormonal days keep you from trying it. It's worth it."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been on this pill, Sronyx, for 6 weeks and am choosing to stop taking this pill. In the beginning, I was nauseous, leg pain, face broke out, and I grew some brown spots that don’t exactly look like moles. I bled irregularly for the first 2-3 weeks and then did not get my period at all the first month. My libido is up, but I have a hard time to orgasm. Then the pain that started in my lower leg slowly crept up to my thigh, it randomly hurts and feels deep, massaging does not help. I am now getting pains in my arms and neck and will no longer take this garbage. WAY too many side effects for me! And I’m scared it could be an embolism and kill me... ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH TAKING! I read the insert, I read what the website says, and they make many of these symptoms seem incredibly minimal... so why did I get so many so fast? I’m done! Change your birth control!"

For Birth Control "I don’t recommend this birth control at all. At first, I felt like I had no symptoms other than my breasts hurting all the time! But then, as time went on, I realized how it made me start feeling crazy. I have always had anxiety/OCD, but taking this birth control made it unbearable. I had to get on anxiety medicine. I have never felt like more of a mess in my life. Now that I just got off, I already feel so much better. Definitely not doing that again. Oh, and yes, it does give you acne, I’ve never had a problem with breakouts until taking the pill."

For Birth Control "I haven’t seen many recent reviews on this and wanted to share my thoughts. I’ve been on this pill to prevent pregnancy for 3 years now. After reading reviews, I’m very interested as some of my bad symptoms line up with others. So positives first, I did not get pregnant - unprotected (other than the pill) for 3 years. I also had MUCH lighter periods. 3 days total of bleeding, very light bleeding, and only cramps on one day. I was very regular and on time with these meds. In the last few years, I’ve been getting really bad headaches as well as acne (which I never ever had). I never linked the two things together for some reason, but realized it’s a strong possibility those things could be from the meds. I also gained probably 10 pounds on this medicine; I hold water like CRAZY. Overall, as long as you don’t mind the side effects, this one really did the job for me when it comes to staying un-pregnant. Hope this helps!!!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this for 3 months (before that, I was on Orsythia for 6 months, but my ob-gyn switched me over for some reason). Since starting Sronyx, I've noticed my acne has gotten worse, but I've had an increased sex drive, lost weight, and my periods are very light and short! I would recommend it."

For Birth Control "I have had the most irregular periods for years, as well as horrible acne. When I would get my period, I had really bad cramps, and it was heavy. Since starting Sronyx 3 weeks ago, I have been so happy, and my sex drive is way higher. My acne has gotten much better, and my boyfriend has said sex feels better (I agree). I should be getting my first period since starting the pill this week!"

For Birth Control "At the beginning of taking this medication, I didn't notice any bad side effects until a few weeks after I began taking it. I would get heavy periods throughout the entire month, bad cramps, weight gain like crazy, and it's making my hair fall out. Also, my mood swings have been all over the place. I would eat like I'm pregnant and be tired all the time. I haven't had any breast growth or pain, but my acne is horrible. I'm not pregnant, so the pill worked there, but I'm going to stop taking it."

For Birth Control "I was put on this birth control when I had to go to an army hospital, and they didn't have the one I was already taking (Minastrin 24, which was great)! The doctor said Sronyx was the same as Minastrin 24, which was a lie. The first month of the Sronyx was okay, just a little more moody than usual, and I thought I could handle that. The end of the second month was HORRIBLE. My acne was the worst it has ever been. I got acne here and there, mostly around the time of my period. This was something else, they were inflamed, painful hormonal acne all on my jawline and neck. My moodiness increased so much to the point my husband and I were arguing about the littlest things, and he didn't even want to talk to me anymore, and I kept bawling my eyes out."

For Birth Control "Please do not take this contraceptive. It made me gain 25 pounds in 3 short months. I did not change my eating habits and had actually been burning more calories than before I started it. I constantly had a migraine and was stressed out and depressed. I knew I immediately needed to do something. At first, I thought that it was just my hormones not adjusting, but I have had more acne with this, headaches, and so much unbelievable weight gain. I do not recommend!"

For Birth Control "I started taking this last month. Initially, I was taking Microgestin, but it was making me extremely moody and gave me acne. Then I switched to Sronyx, and my skin is clear again, and I hardly have any side effects. This is my second month on the pill, and it just seems like the side effects really do go away after 2 or 3 months. I love this pill, and I doubt I am switching. I have tried so many, including the Mirena. This is a good one."

For Birth Control "Listen, do not take this pill, it literally is absolute, utter garbage. My breasts feel like they are getting Naruto kicked every day, my cramps are worse than before I took it, my periods are super irregular, it’s made my acne worse, and don’t even get me started on how this pill has made me actually psycho. If you have depression or anxiety, I don’t suggest taking this because it will make it so much worse."

For Birth Control "The only good thing I can say about this pill is that I haven't gotten pregnant on it. My acne has gotten three times worse. Off the pill, I usually got one or two cysts around the time of my period, which was annoying but manageable. Ever since taking Sronyx, I get one or two new cysts almost daily. My mood swings are insane. My period comes at the same time every month, which I would thank Sronyx for if it didn't make me start bleeding two weeks before my period every month (so I essentially have been bleeding for two and a half weeks every month on this pill). I've heard that breakthrough bleeding can be common within the first three cycles of starting a new pill...if it continues after this cycle (my fourth), I'll definitely switch BC."

For Birth Control "If new to this birth control, do not continue to take it. I am a healthy 20-year-old girl, and this birth control has made me feel terrible. To start, I have been on Lutera (0.1 mg of levonorgestrel and 0.02 mg of ethinyl estradiol) for 3 years now, and one day the pharmacist decided to change me to the generic Sronyx (0.1 mg levonorgestrel and 0.02 mg ethinyl estradiol) in September because they were out of Lutera. They are supposed to be the same thing, but I can't believe that. I will never go back on this birth control because of the terrible cystic acne and the terrible side effects of depression and anxiety. When I started to take it, oh my goodness, I had anxiety to the point that I would break down in tears and cry every time I woke up, and I didn't sleep well while being on this medicine. Not to mention I have never had depression in my life, and now I am still struggling to get myself out of the depression stage because of this medicine. I am hoping to feel like myself again sometime soon because I cannot tell you how upset this makes me feel. If you struggle with depression or bad anxiety, stay away from this medicine because it will make everything so much worse."

For Birth Control "I love this BC because it is a low dose. I have not had any negative side effects other than my face wasn't as clear, but it wasn't awful breakouts either. My periods have always been 2-4 days and very regular. I have not had any breast pains or cramping. But everyone is different. I would recommend trying this out, I have been on this for almost 3 years, and I will say if you are switching from a higher dose, then this will be a bumpy transition, but it will fix itself when your hormones get adjusted (I'd say about 2 months, or 2 period cycles). Like I said, it may work for some but not everyone."

For Birth Control "It is my first time taking birth control. That's why I was a bit nervous about how my body would react. I'm still in the first three months, second to be exact. (My doctor told me that the body needs about 3 months to adapt.) I didn't feel any significant changes. Nothing too different from my regular PMS. No weight gain. No nausea. No mood changes. Of course, my period was way shorter and less painful. My boobs became bigger (not a lot, but still). I got way more pimples before my period than usual, but my face cleared out after that. I always try to eat something or have a snack before I take the pill and take it at the same time every day. Overall, I think it's a good choice. P.S. Everyone's body is different, so you might react differently. But I suggest you try it out."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Sronyx for 2 weeks. Previously, I took Generess for 4 years. Loved it. Stopped because insurance will only cover the new generic version, and it caused irregular periods for me. The purpose for taking BC/Sronyx is to shorten and lighten my periods because of my anemia. So far, I have experienced the following side effects: - Bloat/weight gain (4 lbs) - Moodiness/irritability (severe) - Acne (I've NEVER had acne issues until now!) - Chest/side neck pain - Breast swelling/tenderness (for some reason, my right breast hurts more often) - Scalp/skin itchiness - Trouble wearing contacts (dry eyes, mild burning sensation at times). Overall: I do not recommend this BC. My body doesn't like it at all. Looking to switch immediately."

For Birth Control "I've always had bad skin, but after 4 months on this pill, I had painful cystic acne all over my jawline. It didn't even look like acne, but I looked it up online and it was in fact hormonal acne brought on by birth control. I would also get terrible headaches the day my period started."

For Birth Control "I absolutely love Sronyx! I had a few issues with it for only the first few months: such as my acne was pretty bad at first, but it was probably because my hormones were starting to adjust to taking the birth control. After about a month or two, the acne had subsided, and now my face is clear! I also initially experienced a bit of weight gain, especially in my breasts. But with some working out at the gym and keeping my appetite at bay, all of that initial weight gain is now gone, and I am back to my normal size! My periods have been a breeze. I still experience some cramping, but it's not nearly as bad as before I went on birth control. My bleeding is also a LOT lighter, I no longer have to change my tampon every hour like I used to. The first few months are a little rocky, but don't give up on it after just a month or two. Just wait it out and allow your body some time to get used to this pill... it will be worth it!"

For Birth Control "Horrendous experience. I was on Orsythia for 8 years with no issues whatsoever. That was suddenly discontinued by the manufacturer one day this year (likely for financial reasons, as I can’t find anything about it being harmful), and I was given Sronyx. Since the day I started it, I have had daily abdominal pain severe enough not to hold food down and acne like I’m 18 again (I’m in my 30s). Disgusted at these pharma companies for just suddenly pulling a med without warning and claiming that these generic medications are exactly the same - based on these hundreds of reviews, it’s clear that the inactive makeup of the drugs does not all react the same in our bodies."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about 2 years now. It has made me gain over 40 pounds and increased my acne when I am on placebo pills. I am constantly depressed and eating more than when I was on other birth control pills. I am bloated and constantly having pregnancy scares. I am currently having abdominal cramps and white discharge, I have lighter and lighter periods. I do not drink or smoke. It feels there are more side effects with this type of birth control, and I will take an at-home pregnancy test. Other than that, the next doctor's visit I will most likely change my birth control."

For Birth Control "So I've been on this pill for 3 months, and I've noticed my acne getting really bad! I've never had acne before, and now it's so bad. Other than my acne being terrible, the pill has been great. I haven't had any bad symptoms besides the acne. Honestly, if you want to get on a birth control to help you with your acne, then this might not be the right one for you."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been taking this pill, Sronyx, for a year now. I had originally started to help regulate my cycle. The first three months were bad! My period was so heavy and a little over 2 weeks long. I asked my doctor for advice, and she told me my body just needed to get used to the pill. So I continued to take it. My periods are about 7-9 days, they still are not predictable, moderate amount of bleeding, however, very painful cramping. I have headaches frequently and have noticed bloating. I also have bad breakouts around the time of my period, like cystic acne. Overall, did not really help me with what I needed, so would not recommend."
