For Birth Control "I started on Sronyx going from Ortho Tricylen Lo, which is horrible. I felt like death every time I took Ortho. I had swollen breasts, mood swings, severe nausea. Sronyx was a godsend. I had no symptoms, and it cleared up my mild acne. My sex drive is back."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was prescribed Sronyx as a way to control the amount of blood I lose during my very heavy periods. I have been on it for about 5 months now, and here is my experience with it. I feel very normal taking this pill. About Me: - Age: 24 - Weight: 105 - Ethnicity: Hispanic - Sexually Active - I eat healthy - Little to Moderate Exercise My Experience: - Period was lighter after 1st month and has continued to stay light. I used to bleed for 5-6 days heavily and get severe cramps. Now my periods are light and will last 3 days. I still get light cramps. - I have not gained weight. - Skin cleared up - No mood swings or depression. - Sex drive has not changed. - On occasions, I will experience nausea after I eat. - I still PMS - NO 'breakthrough bleeding.'"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about a month. So far, I have experienced some side effects such as mild nausea the first few days I was on it, but not enough to bother me. I have had light headaches on and off, and also a change in my appetite. But my appetite actually is decreasing. While I feel hungry more often, the amount of food that it takes to make me feel full is significantly less. I feel like I am losing weight on this pill. I am hoping that the side effects go away soon. My physician said that every birth control pill will make you feel the way I do for 2-3 months until your hormone levels level out and get used to the new pill, which makes total sense. So I am not worried yet and think that this pill will work just fine for me."

For Birth Control "I had to switch from Aviane to Sronyx about 2 weeks ago because my pharmacy ran out of my normal pill, and honestly, I cannot WAIT till this pack is done because I've gotten terrible side effects. I've gotten extreme nausea, crazy discharge, constipation, sore breasts, and daily headaches. I've also been really irritable. I'm scared to see what my period will be like!"

For Birth Control "So far, I have been using this birth control for 1 month, 2 weeks now. This is my first birth control. I'm 21, and ever since my period (before birth control), I've had bad cramping, vomiting sometimes, and nausea. Also, I had irregular periods that lasted 10 days, sometimes more. Now, with this birth control, I have regular periods (along with the help of iron pills prescribed by my OB-GYN). I have no breakouts. No throwing up, nothing. Did have slight headaches in the first week of use, but it's gone now and NO BABIES. (Don't drink or smoke)."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sronyx for 4 months now. Everybody has a different reaction to different birth control pills, but Sronyx is perfect for me. No bloating or weight gain, no breakouts, no mood swings, no period cramps at all (I previously had debilitating ones for several days out of the month). I know exactly when my period will start and end (used to be irregular), and best of all, no pregnancy! My breasts got slightly bigger and ached for about a month and a half. I did have breakthrough bleeding the first month I was on the pill, and the two times I've missed a pill and had to take 2 in one day, it did make me nauseous, but all those things are completely to be expected. Overall, this pill is perfect for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 3 1/2 months. I only had breakthrough bleeding the first month, and I never experienced nausea. I had small headaches, but those didn't bother me. However, over the past 2 1/2 months, I have been the most depressed, fatigued, and angry I have ever been in my entire life. I don't want to do anything or see friends or family, and it only lessens when I'm on my placebo week, so I know this isn't a coincidence anymore."

For Birth Control "This was my first time trying birth control (I’m in my 30s). The first month, I occasionally (not every single day) experienced nausea/queasiness in the mornings upon waking up. It would go away if I distracted myself with something. I’m in my third month of being on it now. I did gain 5-7 pounds over the past couple of months. No big deal - just need to exercise more often. Zero side effects otherwise! Sex drive high, no nausea, no mental side effects, absolutely love having no periods, drastic reduction in migraine frequency, overall ... this BC is fantastic in my experience. Give it a chance (and keep in mind ... any queasiness went away after the first few weeks)."

For Birth Control "It is my first time taking birth control. That's why I was a bit nervous about how my body would react. I'm still in the first three months, second to be exact. (My doctor told me that the body needs about 3 months to adapt.) I didn't feel any significant changes. Nothing too different from my regular PMS. No weight gain. No nausea. No mood changes. Of course, my period was way shorter and less painful. My boobs became bigger (not a lot, but still). I got way more pimples before my period than usual, but my face cleared out after that. I always try to eat something or have a snack before I take the pill and take it at the same time every day. Overall, I think it's a good choice. P.S. Everyone's body is different, so you might react differently. But I suggest you try it out."

For Birth Control "I recommend not taking this medication! I wake up in the middle of the night with nausea and vomiting, breast tenderness that hurts so bad, and also it raised my blood pressure. I had perfect blood pressure until I started taking this medicine. It makes me feel dizzy, I just didn't feel like myself at all."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "Taken the pill for 4 months now, after having no period for 6 months. Since I started the pill, I have had two periods each pack, despite taking the pills like clockwork. I've also developed sore breasts and super painful cyst-like acne all the time. No weight gain, nausea, or blood pressure issues, though. Not going to take this anymore!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was prescribed Sronyx due to my prolonged period. On May 7th, I had begun to spot, and that led to a long heavy period until today, June 3rd. I went to my OBGYN on May 28th, confirmed non-pregnancy, and began the BC pills the next day on May 29th. I want to note that I take my pills exactly between 6:30 pm and 7 pm with a meal. On the first day of taking this BC, I noticed a change in my mood, which I had become very relaxed and calm within the first 30 minutes, and fell asleep around 9 pm, to be awakened by sharp painful stomach pains by 2 am and bad gas. TMI: I had diarrhea, but noticed on my maxi pad that my period had restricted to a lighter flow and was no longer bright red. The next day, my flow slowed down to spotting by the end of the night, the same calm mood change as the day before, no stomach pains but noticed some bloating and nausea until I ate more food. I spotted less and less each day until this morning - All Clear :)!! So that marks 5 days for this BC pill to help get my prolonged period under control."

For Birth Control "I started using the pill for the first time 3 months ago due to terrible cramps, periods every 3 weeks lasting 7 days, extreme mood swings, and just overall miserable, painful periods. When I started on Sronyx, I had nausea with mild headaches for the first couple of days. After that, those symptoms went away. My periods still started on the 3rd week, so my periods lasted for 2 whole weeks. This happened for 3 months. I am switching to Seasonique because I need a heavier dosage. Had Sronyx been a little stronger, it would have worked well. My cramps were much more bearable, and the bleeding was less. Overall, it's a good pill, just not the one for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sronyx for a little over a month, and the first two weeks I was a mess. I would cry over everything, it was hard for me to eat because of the nausea, and I was spotting. After that, even though I spotted for a better portion of the month, I was fine. My period was light, shorter, and less painful. I gained about three pounds in those two weeks, but I already lost it. It was a roller coaster, but I do recommend this pill just because it helps a boatload after the initial storm. Plus side, I'm also not pregnant, and my sex drive stayed the same."

For Birth Control "I tried birth control in college (Lo Estrin), and it was terrible. Mood changes made me act like a demon to my roommates, boobs grew, terrible nausea. Sronyx was recommended by my OBGYN, and I love it! I have gained a little weight and experience nausea from time to time, but otherwise, I don’t notice any side effects. Tried the generic Nutera, and it gave me headaches, so yeah, they are not the same, don’t let the pharmacist tell you otherwise!!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sronyx to calm my cramping and bleeding on my period, and I have not been pleased. I take my pill around 8:30 every night, and since I have been taking it, I have woken up each night with nausea, dizziness, and bloating. I am not too pleased."

For Birth Control "I was on Sronyx birth control for a little over a year. Throughout that year, I had become extremely depressed and full of anxiety. I became a totally different person and was miserable constantly. I had no idea, at the time, that it had anything to do with the birth control. For the last few months, I have been having extremely long periods. I’m talking three weeks. I talked to my gynecologist, and we switched to a new birth control pill. Wow, I feel completely back to normal. I really wish I hadn’t taken this pill for so long. I knew about the normal side effects like nausea, and those were fine with me. They came and went. But if you take this medication and experience depression, talk to your doctor. This birth control can work great for some people. It was not at all a good fit for me. Long periods, depression, crippling anxiety. Not worth it to me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Cons: Caused me to have a recurrence of cystic acne on my face and acne on my body, terrible mood swings, fatigue beyond belief, worsened depression and anxiety, difficulty eating from nausea, and general vaginal irritation from changed pH. Whenever I would get stressed, I'd spot, often bad enough to ruin underwear and pants. Pros: It kept me from being pregnant and shortened my period from 3 weeks to 5 days. My new OB/GYN immediately swapped me to a new BCP when she saw it last week and told me the dose of hormones in the pill can be harsh on some women, so take with caution. Or just don't take it. It's safer that way."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Best birth control ever. My doctor prescribed this to me because of heavy bleeding, but I was more interested in the birth control portion of it. I've been on it for 3 months now, the first month and a half, I did break out a little. No more than a pimple or two here or there (I had easy skin to begin with), and only had headaches and nausea the first week or so. No problems with weight gain at all. I'm a fitness freak, so beginning this drug actually worried me. I stand corrected, if anything, my six-pack is far more visible than it was prior to taking Sronyx. Did its job as birth control pretty well, but I still try to use dual protection. Overall pleased, thanks TRICARE."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sronyx for about 3 or 4 months now and I have constant nausea and/or a feeling of cramping even when not on my period. When I did get my period, I passed a blood clot that was larger than a quarter. It gives me back pain that I am not used to experiencing until taking this pill. I guess the positive would be it is pretty good at preventing pregnancy, just has way too many negative side effects for me."

For Birth Control "My doctor prescribed this birth control to me to help resolve the intense cramping and heavy bleeding I have on my period. I have been taking the pill for two days, and I can already tell that this will be a struggle. I have already started vomiting, getting headaches, and nausea, and like I said, it's only been a couple of days. Hoping that my experience gets better."

For Birth Control "I've been on birth control for 7 years. Every couple of years, I end up having to change it because even though it worked for a year, I start bleeding all the time. I started taking Sronyx about 2 months ago, and I've opted to just stop altogether while my husband is deployed. Since taking this, I have been bleeding, my boobs hurt so bad, even wearing a bra hurts, and I'm so nauseous I feel like I'm constantly running to the bathroom. I also have very bad acid reflux and heartburn, which I haven't had in about 4 years. And after reading some of the other reviews, I realized how moody I've been. Not to my husband, thank god, but to everyone else. I have also noticed I want bad food all the time. I don't recommend."

For Birth Control "I was on the patch a year ago, but every time I put the patch on after my period, I got severe nausea that left me in bed ALL day. I put up with this because I loved the ease of the patch, but it became too much. My college gyno switched me to Sronyx. I love it! At first, I got some cramps with my period, which I had never gotten before, but after a month of being on it, that has gone away. I did not gain weight at all and actually lost weight, though that may be from other problems (GERD). My period is also lighter and shorter. The only negative side effects I can say are that within the first month and a half, I was VERY moody. I got angry very easily, but that has gotten better. I also get more breakouts (chest, face, and back), but they are very minor."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been on this pill, Sronyx, for 6 weeks and am choosing to stop taking this pill. In the beginning, I was nauseous, leg pain, face broke out, and I grew some brown spots that don’t exactly look like moles. I bled irregularly for the first 2-3 weeks and then did not get my period at all the first month. My libido is up, but I have a hard time to orgasm. Then the pain that started in my lower leg slowly crept up to my thigh, it randomly hurts and feels deep, massaging does not help. I am now getting pains in my arms and neck and will no longer take this garbage. WAY too many side effects for me! And I’m scared it could be an embolism and kill me... ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH TAKING! I read the insert, I read what the website says, and they make many of these symptoms seem incredibly minimal... so why did I get so many so fast? I’m done! Change your birth control!"
