For Birth Control "After a few hours of taking the first pill, I felt slightly sick and sleepy. I woke up feeling down and took the next pill, about three hours later, I was nauseous and sick to my stomach. I threw up after the 5 hours of nausea and finally felt a little better. On the third day, I didn't take it because I was already feeling emotional and depressed, not to mention still sick and slightly weak. A birth control pill has never affected me this way before."

For Birth Control "Well, I started the pill one week and two days ago. Since then, I can say that my face got cleaner (although it was okay before), and I did not break out. BUT... after the fifth day of taking the pill, I started feeling super nauseous and completely lost my appetite. I am working in a restaurant, and anytime I saw food, I was ready to throw up. I stopped eating because, to me, feeling hungry was better than feeling nauseous. After four days of feeling this way, I threw up on my way home from work. Besides that, I was always feeling down and tired, I lost all enthusiasm and ambition and was kind of sad. To me, it is not worth it to be suffering like that. I will stop taking the pill tomorrow. Be mindful that the pill affects each person differently, so you may or may not get the symptoms I got. However, nausea is one of the side effects, so be prepared to feel crappy."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The first few weeks were kind of bad. I got little bumps on my forehead, but it was under the skin, so you couldn’t really see it unless you touched it. It made me super nauseous, but after that, it was completely fine. A year later, though, my body has changed a lot, so my cramps started coming back, so I am switching. But other than that, it was good."

For Birth Control "My experience started out pretty good with Sronyx, and to be honest, the bad trickled in so subtly that I didn't even realize anything had gone wrong until it hit me full force. My periods used to be 2-4 months apart, but extremely painful when they finally hit. Sronyx eventually started to fix that, although my first 2 packs I bled constantly all the way through until it stopped. I went from an average 76-day cycle to now a 17-day cycle, and every period that number gets lower. My anxiety got out of control to the point where I needed professional help, and I became physically ill with migraines and nausea that required hospitalization. I have stopped taking the pill today and will be seeing my doctor first thing. It's not worth it."

For Birth Control "I am getting off of this ASAP! This has made me so nauseous and made my back and breasts hurt very badly. Period is very light, and I haven’t gotten pregnant, but I am so paranoid and anxious all the time."

For Birth Control "I did three months of this, and it was awful. I had previously been on Jolessa, which I loved, but wanted a monthly period due to the bad cramps when I finally got my period after three months. However, with Sronyx, I noticed I was a lot moodier, crying a lot, spotting a few days before I was even on the placebo pills. Also, I kept getting UTI after UTI, which did not happen at all with Jolessa. My anxiety skyrocketed, and if anything, I've lost weight due to not being hungry and feeling nauseous when I do eat. I weigh 108 normally, and I've lost five pounds since Saturday. I stopped for a long time and didn't finish my pack due to the UTI pain, so I decided to finish it to see if I had the same symptoms. And yep, everything is back besides the UTI."

For Birth Control "I used Sronyx for about 3 months. I really liked it at first. My appetite decreased, which caused me to lose weight. I did notice a few pimples here and there, but nothing too bad. Then, about 4 weeks in, I began to bleed nonstop. It was heavy like a period. I called my doctor, and we doubled my dosage for a week, which helped, but only for a bit. Then the bleeding came back. I started losing a lot of blood, I was extremely dehydrated and tired. My boyfriend and I were still having to use condoms when we would have sex, ironically. Towards the end, I began to notice that I was very depressed and sad for no reason. I just wanted to cry and stay in bed. I was losing weight because I was hardly eating, and everything was making me nauseous, but I also had no energy to work out or do the things I loved, like hiking and jogging. I was really disappointed because the pill worked fine for the first few weeks, but it really made my body react so ugly, and the hormones were starting to cause depression."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Lutera and best pill ever with no side effects until the manufacturer changed. So my ob-gyn switched me to Sronyx because she said it's the same equivalent. This pill is TERRIBLE!!!! For the first 3 months, everything seemed fine and no side effects. After that, I started getting bad headaches 3-4 times a week, I was moody and snappy half the month from PMS time to the end of my period, I got my period before I made it to the placebo pills, got horrible cramps which I never get, crying spells, nausea after eating, and breakouts. The only benefits are weight loss and increased sex drive, which my boyfriend loves. My ob-gyn said if this pill didn't work out, she would switch me to Lessina or Alesse and I am switching."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Sronyx for 5 days (today the 5th), and I cannot get my life together emotionally. By day 3, I was experiencing nausea and sadness. Day 5 today, and I drove to school, sat in class, and left 20 minutes in because I started crying again. I've started feeling so sad that I describe it as depressed (not wanting to go outside even if it’s a gorgeous day, not being able to stay in school, not being able to talk to my partner or mom on the phone without spontaneously turning into a wreck). I’ve been feeling like I’m going crazy because it’s only been 5 days since I started taking the BC, but after reading some of these reviews, I’m more confident the problem is the BC and not me. I’ve decided to stop taking it because I’m not feeling like myself at all: I’m usually happy, depression has never been a thing for me (thankfully), and I can’t imagine spending another day feeling so low."

For Birth Control "Been on one month and two weeks. Unlike other birth controls, I had no nausea, which was great. I am always sick taking any other birth control pills. But, unfortunately, my acne gets too bad the week I take the inactive pills, so I am looking into different birth controls."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill because I had debilitating cramps while on my period. So painful that I was taking prescribed painkillers. I didn’t want to go through life like that anymore. The first three months on Sronyx were awful. I got about every side effect in the book, but after the adjustment period was done, all of that subsided. At first, my periods were light to normal, and I felt no pain at all. About twice a month, I had crippling migraines to the point of crying and throwing up. Six months in, I started getting my period twice a month, had ZERO energy, migraines at least once a week, nausea and vomiting, and was in a state of brain fog constantly. I am going to stop taking it because these side effects are not worth it to me. If you start to feel weary on this birth control, I recommend getting off of it at first notice."

For Birth Control "I’ve taken this birth control on and off since I was 14 to regulate my periods, and once I got older/married, I stuck to this birth control until we were ready to have children. This birth control never caused me any problems throughout this time, and I was very happy with it. Last week, I was prescribed Sronyx to regulate my periods. Since having my second baby last November, my periods have been off. So, I figured, hey, why not? Since I have my tubes tied, now I obviously don’t need birth control, but thought it would help with my periods as it did in the past with no problems. Boy, was I wrong! My mood became low, and I instantly recognized it as depression. On the 8th day of taking it (yesterday), I decided it was not worth it, and I’m coming off. Another symptom I’m dealing with for the last two mornings is anxiety and jitteriness that’s also making me very nauseous. I guess after having my last baby, my body is different now and can’t handle this birth control anymore."
