For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for about 2 weeks. So far, I have been spotting every single day and have been breaking out with pimples on my face. No sign of weight gain. Will keep y'all updated as I progress in my birth control journey."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about a year now. (I switched from Lo Loestrin because I was having bad side effects from that pill after being on it for 2 years.) I really do not recommend Sronyx at all. There are zero positives to this birth control besides the fact that it prevents pregnancy. To start, I get horrible mood swings and anxiety the week before my period all the way through to the end of my period. I get massive migraines during my placebo pill week to the point where I have to just go to bed because it hurts to even look at light. Then, in between my period and starting a new month of pills, I get a yeast infection from the hormone imbalance. Other negatives include drying out my vagina, which totally brings my sex drive down, bloating, and breaking out by my chin and jawline (which other reviews say also). Just overall bad. I can't wait to switch off of this one."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Sronyx about a year ago, and at first, I didn't notice any negative side effects... but about six months ago, my husband started to point out how mean I got when my period got closer. At first, I brushed it off as PMS, but it got worse each month. In high school, before I was on the pill, I never got cramps or had bad mood swings, but now I'm constantly doubled over from cramping, I get irritable, and I NEVER know when my period will actually start. And I would break out like crazy! (I have acne-ridden wedding pictures as proof). The only good thing is that I didn't get pregnant. I'm glad I'm starting a new pill next month."

For Birth Control "The best thing this pill Sronyx did was clear my skin. Coming off of it, however, gave me the worst breakouts of my life. I also liked how my sex drive was high/normal using this pill. The one thing it didn’t do was help my cramps. It did for about a year, then my periods went back to how bad they’ve always been. I recommend this nevertheless."

For Birth Control "This birth control is the absolute worst. I have had a past with acne and I’ve been so insecure about it, and when I got on birth control, I was so excited that it could help my acne, and then it made it 20 times worse. My acne has never been this bad in my life! It’s also made me extremely angry all the time for no reason and made my breasts hurt so bad to the point where I couldn’t touch them without feeling like they were covered in bruises. Do not recommend."

For Birth Control "I have just finished my second month on Sronyx. First of all, I had clear skin before I started taking this birth control pill, right after I began to take the pills, my forehead started to break out in pimples. I was very unhappy about that, but my doctor told me to wait it out for the first 3 months in order for my body to adjust to the hormones. While on my second month, I broke out BAD the week before my period, but it was due to my period coming up. My only side effect is me breaking out, if it weren't for that, I would be giving it a 10! I have no other side effects or mood swings, which I love, and it actually helps me control my hunger. I don't feel as hungry as I did before, which has helped me lose about 8 lbs!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sronyx for 2 months. I have been on birth control for over 10 years, on and off. Sronyx has made me break out so bad on my chin and jawline. I didn't really correlate the acne to this pill until I went to get a facial to try and help my skin, and she told me that acne on the chin and jaw is hormonal. I then started doing research to find out many people have had problems with acne on this pill. This is a deal breaker for me, especially since I am getting married in 2 months. I have stopped taking it as of today and hope my skin will clear up in time for the wedding!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Cons: Caused me to have a recurrence of cystic acne on my face and acne on my body, terrible mood swings, fatigue beyond belief, worsened depression and anxiety, difficulty eating from nausea, and general vaginal irritation from changed pH. Whenever I would get stressed, I'd spot, often bad enough to ruin underwear and pants. Pros: It kept me from being pregnant and shortened my period from 3 weeks to 5 days. My new OB/GYN immediately swapped me to a new BCP when she saw it last week and told me the dose of hormones in the pill can be harsh on some women, so take with caution. Or just don't take it. It's safer that way."

For Birth Control "I've been taking it for a couple of weeks now, I've gotten very bad acne and mood swings like crazy. I cried over chicken noodle soup, if that tells you anything. But it may work for you, try it and see. It probably just affects everyone differently. I'm not sure if I should continue to take it or try a new pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Best birth control ever. My doctor prescribed this to me because of heavy bleeding, but I was more interested in the birth control portion of it. I've been on it for 3 months now, the first month and a half, I did break out a little. No more than a pimple or two here or there (I had easy skin to begin with), and only had headaches and nausea the first week or so. No problems with weight gain at all. I'm a fitness freak, so beginning this drug actually worried me. I stand corrected, if anything, my six-pack is far more visible than it was prior to taking Sronyx. Did its job as birth control pretty well, but I still try to use dual protection. Overall pleased, thanks TRICARE."

For Birth Control "I was on the patch a year ago, but every time I put the patch on after my period, I got severe nausea that left me in bed ALL day. I put up with this because I loved the ease of the patch, but it became too much. My college gyno switched me to Sronyx. I love it! At first, I got some cramps with my period, which I had never gotten before, but after a month of being on it, that has gone away. I did not gain weight at all and actually lost weight, though that may be from other problems (GERD). My period is also lighter and shorter. The only negative side effects I can say are that within the first month and a half, I was VERY moody. I got angry very easily, but that has gotten better. I also get more breakouts (chest, face, and back), but they are very minor."

For Birth Control "I have been on the pill now for 2.5 years. I started with Apri, hated it, and switched to Orsynthia. I had no issues with Orsynthia at all for roughly 1.5 years. It stopped my period altogether for a little over a year, which my doctor was not concerned about. No issues until my insurance company wouldn't cover it anymore, so I had to switch to Sronyx. After about one month of being on it, I developed TERRIBLE acne! It looked like a papular rash all over, especially my neck and face. In addition, it made my skin twice as likely to burn in the sun. I have been on it for a total of 3-4 months now and am about to switch back to Orsynthia and let my wallet take a hit. Nothing is worth having a chronic rash this bad all over your neck!"

For Birth Control "I switched from Sprintec to Sronyx because I was suffering from often irregular bleeding and acne, but that’s about it. I started taking Sronyx about 4-5 months ago, and I have noticeably gained a lot of weight. I never changed my diet, and my body weight/shape has always kind of been the same until I started taking this pill. I've been struggling a lot with my body image these past couple of months and recently have started to get easily irritable, which is what made me quit taking the pill. Don’t recommend."

For Birth Control "Well, I'm not pregnant, but my skin is a mess, and PMS symptoms have been terrible. I hate this stuff. The pharmacy gave it to me as a generic for Aviane, and I will pay out of pocket before I ever accept it again. I've been on two other generics without any side effects, cystic acne just isn't worth it."

For Birth Control "Well, my experience with this has been fine. My periods are lighter, and it has caused my cramps to really die down. The only deal breaker is that there’s been so much acne on my face. I’ve always had great skin, and I was wondering why I was breaking out so damn much. After reading these comments, I’m pretty sure it’s because of the BC."

For Birth Control "Absolutely terrible! No one in my family has a history of cystic acne, and when I started taking this, I got cystic acne really bad! I didn’t even know this was the cause of it until I went off of it 6 months later, and now my face is totally clear except for all of the scarring it caused! I went to the dermatologist and tried many meds to get rid of the acne, but it was from this life-ruining birth control! I was so depressed and self-conscious because of the acne this caused! Do not use this."

For Birth Control "I have been taking the BC Sronyx for about 2 months, my period has not come on (which is AWESOME). THE DOWNFALL: my hair has started to fall out and become thin. I am very moody (angry). I have gained 10 lbs within the 2-month timeframe. I am starting to have pimples on my face that I never had in my 22 years of life. UGH, hate. Today, I stopped taking it."

For Birth Control "I was on Sronyx for 5-6 years, and it was great. Then one day I was hospitalized and didn't have access to my birth control pills. When I finally was able to take them (1 month later), I broke out like crazy. I never had acne growing up, so this really hit my self-esteem. My OBGYN has since switched me to a different pill, and the acne has lessened, but the acne scars from that time period still remain."

For Birth Control "I used Sronyx for about 3 months. I really liked it at first. My appetite decreased, which caused me to lose weight. I did notice a few pimples here and there, but nothing too bad. Then, about 4 weeks in, I began to bleed nonstop. It was heavy like a period. I called my doctor, and we doubled my dosage for a week, which helped, but only for a bit. Then the bleeding came back. I started losing a lot of blood, I was extremely dehydrated and tired. My boyfriend and I were still having to use condoms when we would have sex, ironically. Towards the end, I began to notice that I was very depressed and sad for no reason. I just wanted to cry and stay in bed. I was losing weight because I was hardly eating, and everything was making me nauseous, but I also had no energy to work out or do the things I loved, like hiking and jogging. I was really disappointed because the pill worked fine for the first few weeks, but it really made my body react so ugly, and the hormones were starting to cause depression."

For Birth Control "I started this pill back in September, and at first, I loved it. I had no problems at all. My cramps were less painful, and my period was lighter and shorter. But then... it ruined my life. Not to be dramatic, but seriously. It’s been causing me to have really bad cystic acne since I’d say the 3rd month in. I’ve continued to stay on it because I thought my body would just adjust to the hormonal changes, but it has only gotten worse. Once I feel as though my acne is getting better, poof, there’s a new one. To add, I’ve had almost perfect skin for 20 years. Now I’m ashamed to even step outside without makeup because of all the scarring and pimples. I would highly suggest not taking this birth control."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Lutera and best pill ever with no side effects until the manufacturer changed. So my ob-gyn switched me to Sronyx because she said it's the same equivalent. This pill is TERRIBLE!!!! For the first 3 months, everything seemed fine and no side effects. After that, I started getting bad headaches 3-4 times a week, I was moody and snappy half the month from PMS time to the end of my period, I got my period before I made it to the placebo pills, got horrible cramps which I never get, crying spells, nausea after eating, and breakouts. The only benefits are weight loss and increased sex drive, which my boyfriend loves. My ob-gyn said if this pill didn't work out, she would switch me to Lessina or Alesse and I am switching."

For Birth Control "I was taking this medication for two years, and I never had any problems with it whatsoever. I started it mainly to regulate my period because I was very irregular. With the Sronyx, I had a period every month. At first, it would start on Sunday and go to the next Sunday, then it went to Wednesday night-Sunday night. I never had any moodiness, acne, weight gain, or any side effects from it. Unfortunately, my doctor made me stop using it due to 'high blood pressure.' I always take my blood pressure at home, and it is usually 134/80. Of course, it is going to be high at a doctor's office. I am now on an all-hormones pill called Nora-Be, which I started yesterday morning. Not sure how I feel about not having an off week for the 'sugar pills.'"

For Birth Control "At first, Sronyx birth control was okay. I had no symptoms the first week. The second week, my face broke out in cystic acne on my cheeks. I’ve been battling with trying to clear it up. It’s so ugly, and I’ve never broken out on my cheeks. Now it’s leaving scarring. To add insult to injury, it made me gain 5-7 lbs apparently. I’ve since then stopped taking it and am still dealing with the acne I had. But the only positive is that it made my period lighter and bearable. For once, in an entire year, I didn’t have to change my clothes a thousand times."
