For Birth Control "I recently just stopped taking Lyza because I realized it wasn't helping me get my period back. Before that, I was on Depo (the shot), which got rid of my period completely. I just started taking this birth control (Aubra), and so far, I haven't noticed any really crazy symptoms or spotting. I would get mild headaches, but nothing ibuprofen couldn't fix. I'll update soon :)"

For Birth Control "First birth control I have taken. Started off with frequent, irregular periods. I was informed that having frequent periods is normal at first and will return to normal in time, which was true, my periods over time became less frequent than my regular ones. I recommend being proactive and taking the pill every day, or else your periods may start to be irregular again. I have also noticed frequent breakouts around my chin and cheek areas, and I have been feeling very hormonal with frequent, minor headaches."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this whatsoever. I’ve been taking this for about 2 months, and I’ve never experienced this type of depression or loss of motivation. Ever since starting Aubra, I’ve woken up 5/7 days of the week with a headache and absolutely no ambition to get out of bed. Acne has never been this bad either. Do not take. I can’t wait to get off this."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra for about six months. At first, I felt a lot of side effects like nausea, headaches, sore breasts, but also an oddly increased libido. My periods became light and only last a max of four days, which is a plus, as I used to regularly bleed through pads and tampons in a couple of hours. However, I have experienced random clusters of acne on my chin, forehead, and neck since taking the pill. Another upside/downside for me is the cramps. I used to have excruciating cramps during the week of my period, but now I have persistent cramps for one, sometimes two whole weeks before my period."

For Birth Control "I took this for a while. I skipped my period on this, but I started bleeding after a couple of months for more than a month of bleeding. I stopped taking it. Started it again, and I’ve had no complaints. The first week was rough since my body was getting used to it. I’m not good with birth control, but this one is the best one I’ve taken. I have had no weight gain, no headaches (I have frequent migraines usually). I think it helped so much with that. Mood swings stayed the same. If you’re thinking about taking this birth control, I’d say don’t skip your period with it."

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for 3 months. It's effective but major negative side effects. I've been bleeding pretty bad between periods (seems to be worse when I drink coffee, for the record). Along with the spotting, I've been getting cramps that feel worse than my usual period cramps. I've also been getting headaches much worse than I'm used to that seem to last forever. Periods have been lighter, which is a plus, but obviously, all the blood that should be draining isn't because of all the spotting. It isn't all bad, but I'm switching for sure."

For Birth Control "This birth control isn't really good or bad in my opinion. I originally was on Depo and decided to switch to the pill due to some friends saying it took their acne away and all cramps. Well, big mistake. Don't ever take anyone's opinion on medicine for you. I have scars all over my face from acne, it gets worse certain times of the month. I have IBS-C (irritable bowel syndrome with constipation), and I'm currently on medicine for that as well. It messes with my stomach and makes it act up, which is why I was worried about having to digest a pill. The Depo made me gain around 6 lbs in the 3 months, and I've gained 12 lbs so far being on this pill for 5 months. I'm 18, about 5'8" and was 105 lbs before I got on BC. I've never been able to gain weight, but wow, this was all at once and kind of a lot for me. Aside from that, I have no sex drive, I get headaches now, and I'm thinking of going back on Depo because I still get TERRIBLE cramps. It has reduced some bleeding, but it still hurts to stand for 2 days, which isn't okay since I have a job."

For Birth Control "I took it for 6 months. Worst 6 months of my life. I felt sick EVERY single day. After taking the pill, 1-2 hours later I felt like vomiting. I would NEVER recommend this to ANYONE. I had severe cramps & headaches."

For Birth Control "I began taking Aubra five months ago. For the first three weeks, I suffered from constant nausea, severe headaches, shortness of breath, IBS-like symptoms, emotional instability, and I felt extremely lethargic. After those three weeks, those symptoms disappeared. However, now five months in, I have absolutely no sex drive, my last period lasted 13 days, and I have been in a depressed-like rut for about two months. On the bright side, my boobs got bigger, I have not gained any weight, and my acne has decreased. Since these symptoms are much better than the alternative (getting pregnant), I have decided to continue taking the pill. Once my prescription expires, though, I believe I will be switching to another brand."

For Birth Control "I started Aubra back in July so I would be less anxious about pregnancy. The first month or two I was on it, I had headaches and nausea, as well as random bleeding. As soon as that ceased, I immediately began packing on pounds and became very depressed and had no desire for intimacy with my boyfriend. This all has negatively affected my relationship. It's so bad that my boyfriend offered to go back to condoms, which neither of us loves. Unfortunately, Aubra is not good for my body and mental health, for some people it is likely great, but not for me. Only good parts were zero cramps, lighter periods, zero acne, and no babies."

For Birth Control "I had a terrible experience with this pill. I started to break out, a ton of headaches, mood swings, and weight loss."

For Birth Control "I went on Aubra to 1. Avoid any accidents with my partner and 2. Try and clear up my acne. I'd been to dermatologists who prescribed topical creams and oral antibiotics, but nothing helped clear my face. I had it the worst on my chin and forehead and thought to maybe give BC a try. But after sticking this out for a month, I had to stop. I had terrible headaches, dizziness, and was moodier and found myself crying at the slightest things that normally wouldn't have upset me. And although I took it to clear up my skin, it actually made my skin worse. I had so many more breakouts on my chin than before. So maybe this wasn't the right BC for me, but I am also now nervous to give any other BCs a try."
