For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Horrid! Not working. Mostly success with the "rectangle" vivelle dots and their generics. There is no way large studies were done to confirm equivalencies. This site alone shows 2.3% out of 10 user rating, whereas Vivelle Dot has a 7 out of 10. All disgusting symptoms are returning."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Dotti is awful in appearance! The positive is that the patch is small and circular. The negative is the patch isn't clear, but has writing on it! So humiliating and degrading! Surely most woman who use this type of patch are looking for discretion (in addition to effectiveness)! At least let it be clear or even have a cute tattoo appearance (flower etc)! I hate it!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "This patch is horrible. I have scar marks from where the patch was placed on my inner thighs. My allergies are out of control. My irritability and hot flashes are back. I’m so angry that my pharmacy switched from Vivelle dot to this patch when I found out I switched to another pharmacy, and they also sent me the Dotti patch. My insurance pays for name-brand medication, so this is completely unacceptable. I’ve asked the pharmacist in the past if this is the same medication, and they say they use the exact same quantities of the drug as the name-brand. I do not recommend this product."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "My pharmacy replaced my Mylan estradiol patch with Dotti. Within 2 days I had spotting and then hot flashes. Within a week I was waking nightly at 4am and unable to sleep with constant temperature changes during the day. I had two remaining patches of the old brand that I had in my travel bag. I used them and the symptoms abated. I've had to switch pharmacies but my obgyn was able to help find a provider and specified the brand."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "This is the second time I have tried Dotti patches 0.05mg 2 times a week and progesterone 100mg/day. The first time I used Dotti, I experienced light dizziness and the inability to completely empty the bladder when peeing in the third week. I told my doctor, and he said Dotti was not likely the cause, but I stopped taking it anyway for a month. I resumed taking it again and just like the first time, by the third week, I experienced light dizziness, a sensation of imbalance when walking or lowering my head, chills, night sweats, abdominal pain on the upper right quadrant, and drops in blood pressure. I have stopped using the patch."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I came to this site because I was searching for reviews of this estradiol patch. I felt it was reducing the severity of my hot flashes, but not as much as I expected. Reading these reviews has confirmed my belief that this patch is not very effective. I'm going to search for an alternative."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I was very happy with my old .05mg /day patches. I've used patches from two other manufacturers with no problem but last month I was switched to Dotti .05/day. The Dotti patches don't work. They stick for a couple of days but they don't deliver .05 mg of estradiol per day like they're supposed to. Even the label admits that these are smaller and contain less estrogen than the others even though it also says .05 mg/day. Dotti must have rounded up....way up......in order to call these patches .05mg/day."

"I use the Xulane birth control patch, aka Zafemy or Ortho-Evra. Those patches have been so difficult to stick and stay on. I've tried swabbing the site with alcohol first, adding a bit of heat with a hairdryer to make the glue melt. Now those patches are actually giving me a rash. At the same time, I've been using the Dotti patch. They're almost invisible on the skin and they stick so well! I've never had one come off. I can also feel their effect in that if I'm needing to change it, symptoms sneak back. I'm a big fan of the Dotti patch!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I am on my second Dotti patch and have been throwing the bed covers on and off, and losing patience. I am wondering if the Dotti patch has been causing these symptoms. I need to go back to Vivelle to see if those symptoms stop."

"Started this patch apprehensively three weeks ago, after suffering for nearly two years with hot flashes and severe mood disturbances, i.e., irrational anger at the smallest inconvenience, sweat down the entire backside from neck down while simply sitting at a restaurant during a meal, no appetite, and lethargy. It has been so very helpful in resolving all of those issues, and I was surprised at the poor reviews. I am taking the brand-name Dotti and receiving it from mail order, so I don’t know if that is the difference. Super freaked out by the side effects listed here, but my doctor assured me that she is monitoring me closely to avoid adverse interactions. I am also taking progesterone orally, which was initially helping in the first three years of perimenopause, but adding on this patch has been life-changing, and I am afraid of going without it now."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Was on the Vivelle patch for many years and then Estradiol when it was available as a generic. Last fall my med insurance changed and so did my mail order prescription plan. Was automatically sent the Dotti patch. Started having symptoms I didn't relate to the patch until I made a connection and found this site - vivid, odd dreams, hot flashes and night sweats and general irritability (hadn't had this for years on the other patches). Finally got my doctor to request the generic patch only. Of course, suddenly, it's not available through mail order and I have to get at a local pharmacy for more than twice the cost, and it's generic. But it's worth it."
