Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "Major improvement in skin condition. Dermatitis (sufficiently severe to make walking difficult and painful) has been reduced to the point where almost full use has been restored, after approximately five months. No obvious side effects. Some itching still persists, but is now managed with salicylic acid ointment. Use is expected to continue indefinitely. Dupixent has, overall, been a very successful treatment."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Started Dupixent 6/1/2017 while on cyclosporine, and my derm weaned me off the cyclosporine after 3 months (tri-tate) and went completely off cyclosporine 10/1/17. Still administering the shots twice monthly, and while my skin looks much better, my itching is still very bad, waking me up at night. I'm convinced that as I warm up during my sleep, the itching starts. I will not go back to any topical steroids since I developed a tolerance to all of them, eventually getting stronger and stronger ones until I suffered RSS and had a devil of a time with that (exfoliative dermatitis) that had me scratching so bad that my skin was oozing to the point that my kidneys almost failed. In conclusion, skin looks much better, I'm constantly bleeding."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Been on dupilumab 300 mg biweekly for 2 years. I saw an immediate effect within 48 hours of the first 600 mg dose. It stopped the oozing on my face, which instead adopted bright red, very itchy patches. My skin overall felt like it dried out very quickly and also felt like it was being stretched. Over the course of a few weeks, the red patches died down in color somewhat but then developed on my main body more. These red patches were itchier than any eczema I've had before but never oozed, at least. 2 years later, it hasn't stopped my facial eczema from flaring up and oozing again, but the side effects remain. My main body has discolored patches, some bright red (the more recent itchy patches), some which have died down to brown (at which point they are less itchy). I get the impression that these side effects will last for months, if not years, after I stop dupilumab. My eyes feel itchier/drier more often and have gotten slightly worse since my last eye test. I will be moving to RINVOQ ASAP."

Dupilumab for Asthma, Maintenance "Started on Fasenra for severe eosinophilic asthma. Worked very well until the time interval was increased to 60 days and symptoms returned prior to 30 days. Changed to Dupixent every two weeks. Dupixent works very well, controlling my asthma symptoms. While on Dupixent, I was diagnosed with prurigo nodularis skin lesions. I have not noticed any decrease in severity of itching, weeping nodules."

For Eczema "I've had eczema my whole life, which got particularly bad in the last 5 years (25 - 30 years old). It got unbearable after I gave birth, so I went on Dupixent. I was told it was a risk while I was breastfeeding, but I consented to it anyway. My son has been perfectly fine, he's now one and a half, and I've breastfed the entire time. My eczema cleared up perfectly, it was a miracle drug for about a year. My eyes were red, itchy, and weepy the whole time, but it was better than what the eczema did, so I was happy. However, after 10 months, I could barely open my eyes, they were so swollen, itchy, and sore. I saw an optometrist who thought I might have keratitis, false alarm, but that scared me into stopping. It's been a month since I last took it, and my eczema is starting to come back, and my eyes are still pretty red and weepy, although much improved. I'd still do it all again. I may even continue taking it, honestly, my eczema is completely gone while using. No other side effects."

Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "I do the injection every other week. It has helped clear up my rashes, but unfortunately, it's causing my fingers to peel and itch. It's also causing my knees, hands, and hips to ache so bad."

For Eczema "Very hard to get refills from the specialty pharmacy, with so much time wasted on the phone with unhelpful people reciting lines they’ve been trained. As a result, I could not follow the prescribed dosing schedule as the 2nd dose has been so far delayed. After the loading dose, it cleared up nodules from my prurigo nodularis on my face and eliminated a painful nose, but caused generalized mild itching everywhere when my itching had previously subsided, and eye stabbing pains and uncomfortable stomach pain and fatigue. New small pinprick red dots on skin now. If I ever get the second dose delivered, I’ll share my next outcome. I had nodules covering my body, the 1st problem with skin ever in my 50s, so must give it a try."
