Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "I had my first injection a week ago. On the second day, I had chills, weakness, and fever. Breathing problems started. My skin began to peel severely. Discomfort in the heart area. Itching has decreased, and my skin has become firmer. I will add to the review after the next injection."

Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "Good results on the atopic dermatitis (AD). I did get problems with my eyes (itching). I try to keep the eyes in the best possible condition. I prefer to keep my skin in good condition by this medication."

Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "I am a 51-year-old female, who, like a lot of people, had quite severe dry skin and eczema all of my life - all the usual things, interrupted sleeping, constant itch, hot showers, creams, and wrappings. I started Dupixent injections in April 2021 and had a fantastic response with the rash and itch clearing up over a couple of months. However, around the 16-week mark, I started noticing a strange prickly itch on the soles of my feet. Over the next couple of months, I also developed tingling and pins and needles with numbness in limb extremities. The neurologist diagnosed polyneuropathy and is reluctant to blame Dupixent, but no other reason was found. The small nerve fibers are affected in hands and feet, which means they are more sensitive to heat and cold. Stopped injections in November. Three months later, the itch has come back, and the neurologist can't say if nerve damage has been permanent, but it most likely won't improve very much, and I could be stuck with it."

Dupilumab for Eczema "After four injections, I've decided to discontinue my use of the product. After my doctor administered the first two injections, I hopefully waited the two weeks for some effect. There was little. The individual sores started to disappear, but the itching persisted. I might add that I paid a $153.00 copay for my first treatment. I ordered my next treatment from the same source and was told that the copay was now over $1,600.00. Needless to say, I went shopping around and I was quoted and paid an $85.00 copay. I gladly paid and proceeded with my next two injections, after which the sores were nearly gone except on my elbows, knees, and butt, which still itched terribly, especially at night, making it impossible to get a reasonable night's sleep. Not one to give up easily, I ordered my third treatment of Dupixent only to be told that the copay was now $700.00. Considering the cost vs. effect, I have discontinued the treatments."

Dupilumab for Eczema "I have used everything under the sun to try to clear my eczema, and the only thing that worked was prednisone. I've been on Dupixent since August 31st, 2018, and at first, I noticed everything clear up. With the past 2 injections, every 2 weeks, I've been flaring up again but not so much on the face and scalp as I did in the past. I hope with more doses this clears up. I am itchy again too. And as everyone else, my eyes are also bothering me, but my doctor states that they are very dry and suggested some moisture drops. I hope it gets better soon. At the beginning, my skin felt so soft."

Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "Been using Dupixent for 3 years. Gradually reduced dose to one injection every 21 days - it works fine. Tried one injection every 28 days, got itchy skin on fingers and across the bridge of the nose. So about 1% of what I used to have. Back up to 21 days, and it works fine. Upsides - horrendous eczema since I was 6 days old - and asthma since I was 10 - 'gone'. Still have dry skin but emollients help. Topical steroids nil. Downsides - eyes water and get sore - need eye drops. I use preservative-free 0.24% Sodium Hyaluronate and/or 0.1% Sodium Hyaluronate in isotonic water. - hair loss - body hair went thinner first, arms only have fine down now - then hair on scalp, I had a good head of hair, now I'm nearly bald and having to comb over ('dismissed' by GP as MPB) - but it's new to me. - libido - after 12 months, reduction in initiating coitus had become noticeable - partner concerned - everything works 'OK', just not as often, and a lot of assistance & stimulation is required."

Dupilumab for Eczema "I have been on Dupixent since May 2017, and it is now March 2021, and the last four months I’ve had mild exacerbation of my eczema on my legs and abdomen despite taking the medication as prescribed every two weeks. I have seen nothing online or in the literature about why Dupixent might stop working. I’m getting very worried. It was miraculous for me for three years plus, and since I was switched to the new syringes, my legs are even worse, they’re incredibly itchy even when I use clobetasol foam as directed by my doctor, as well as ice to chill it and menthol lotion, which is used to help. I am wondering and don’t know how to find out if this is simply because bad batches were shipped, and if not, I need to know what’s going on, and I’m looking for some help."

Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "I received my 1st injection of Dupixent. I developed itchy eyelids. Three days later, I had a red rash on one of my arms. That went away. The eczema itch really hasn't changed any. In fact, the eczema looks worse, I am not that impressed with this drug. This is rather disappointing. I received my 3rd injection, and I am now suffering from terrible insomnia. I also have started itching on different parts of my body. The eczema looks a lot worse. I still am not impressed with this medication. I was hoping that this would help me. I really doubt that this medication is going to. I feel like I am going to be stuck with this."

Dupilumab for Eczema "Used this product for a total of 8 weeks. Initially, my body eczema went away. After about 8 weeks, my face began to become red, blotchy, itchy, and scaly. I never had eczema on my face to any great degree. Now my face is a complete disaster. I can't even go outside. This is not topical steroid withdrawal (TSW). This is something totally different, different. My eyelid skin became red and flaky. This was not listed as a common side effect."

Dupilumab for Eczema "I've been using Dupixent for almost 8 months now and am 95% clear. I have minor itching that comes and goes on my chin and back of my ears, but my body and face are clear. I can finally fall asleep and sleep through the night without itching. I did have some itching in my eyes, but my eye doctor prescribed eye drops (Alrex), and after a few months, my eyes no longer itch. I've had eczema all my life, and at 48, I am finally living a better quality of life thanks to Dupixent! No more steroid creams, prednisone, and UV light therapy sessions. Wish this was available sooner, but better now than never!"

Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "This drug has changed my life. I seriously could kiss the manufacturer. I have had terrible outbreaks on my hands for 5+ years. The past year has been the worst. What was once on my hands turned into my entire body with the exception of my face. I’ve lost at least 50% of my hair in the midst of an outbreak that lasted a year. I’m on my 3rd dermatologist (the 1st and 2nd one never did a skin biopsy and had different diagnoses). Please INSIST on a skin biopsy. The 3rd dermatologist did a biopsy and put me on Dupixent (after injections of Humira which was prescribed by derm #2 and made my skin worse). Dupixent has been life-changing. I haven’t had an outbreak at all after 3 injections. I’m happy, not depressed, not itchy, and not a hermit. This drug has been a godsend. After so many years of not knowing and trying to manage this, it’s finally under control."

Dupilumab for Eczema "I developed chronic eczema in the last 15 years and was miserable for most of it - constant itching and skin rashes on my face, neck, and back. My doctor put me on Dupixent in early 2019, and I've been using Dupixent pre-filled syringes ever since to this day, April 2022. It was working well for the past few years (no itching, my skin cleared). In January 2022, I had an eczema flare-up which I thought was triggered by a known allergen for me. The doctor cleared it up with two steroid shots over a two-week period, the flare-up was gone. I was still on Dupixent during the treatment and after three months until another eczema flare-up occurred, which I thought may have been triggered again by an allergen. This time, symptoms were not only eczema (itching face, back, neck) but this time my eyes were itchy, red, watery also. The doctor believes that Dupixent no longer works for me and that I need to switch to a new drug."

Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "This is my first time on an injectable biologic, and I was especially scared after reading some of these reviews. But in the summer of 2021, I had topical steroid withdrawal (TSW) after 30+ years of using one or another steroid on my face and body. When I stopped the steroids, my face swelled up so badly urgent care thought I was stung by a bee. The swelling would be accompanied by extensive itching and weeping that would make my face swell even more and then finally crust over painfully before subsiding, only to happen again 5 days later. Dupixent saved my life because even though it was clear I had to quit steroids, the side effects from the withdrawal were so traumatic and frightening. The first month of Dupixent wasn't easy - my face and chest area turned beet red and was itchy/hot the first month. But once that subsided, I had the best sleep of my life as I didn't wake up itching! I'm in my 4th month, and the redness/hot feeling is completely gone. No other side effects. Give it a try!"

Dupilumab for Atopic Dermatitis "I have strong itchy skin since 5 years old. Now I am 60. I have itchy skin on most of my legs, especially on my ankles since 5 years ago. I got three steroid shots last year. I started Dupixent in May 2020. I did 20 shots. This shot works on secondary itches after scratching. But I still have strong itch while sleeping, wake up, break time, after shower. I don't take steroids anymore."

For Eczema "I can still remember that appointment where I started laughing by myself like a crazy person at the doctor's office because the itch was finally gone, all those sleepless nights, all the sleeping drugs, all the oozing, bleeding, cleaning the floors several times a day were gone!!! I got my life back!!!! I certainly do not miss the bleach baths!! I suffered severe eczema for 5 years with no diagnosis for 3, no answer with any medication. I am one of the lucky ones who entered the clinical trials since July 2014, felt the difference after the first dosage, clear skin after a month. I know my skin will never be normal, but thanks to this drug I have a normal life again!!! So blessed."

Dupilumab for Eczema "I've had severe eczema all my life (67 now) and started Dupixent 2 years ago. As far as I'm concerned, it's a miracle. The itchy rashes have almost totally disappeared, and I have my life back. BUT after several months, my eyes started itching day and night. After much trial and error, I use a combination of Lotemax lotion (prescription - very good!), Restasis drops, Pataday anti-itch drops, and (on bad days) an application of cool water with apple cider vinegar. Highly recommend the Lotemax. Good luck, everyone!"

Dupilumab for Eczema "For a very expensive drug that I still had to pay over $800.00 a month for, this was a pure joke. First of all, injecting the injection stung like heck, so painful that I cried. Then later on, my skin became super itchy and very dry. This went on every day. My eyes became dry and itchy, and my vision became blurry that it was hard to see when driving. I finally got off it because I didn't see much difference in my skin after I started. This is not a cure, by the way. I'll wait until the new oral drug for eczema comes out, and I'll definitely try that one, but Dupixent just didn't help me one bit. Getting rid of the big box it came in with all the dry ice was a hassle too since you can't recycle boxes in my area, you have to cut them up into small pieces and bag them for the garbage men to dispose of. I won't miss that part one bit or having to recycle the used needles either each time and having to run to the post office to do it. Nope, not worth it!!!"

Dupilumab for Eczema "I had initial doses less than a week ago, and I feel 'odd.' Some of the itching has already lessened, but I have noticed I am feeling more anxious today and had some trouble sleeping last night. I can tell it is starting to work for sure. I think it will be a lot better once I get to a single dose and my body gets used to it."

Dupilumab for Eczema "I started using Dupixent in November 2022 and initially administered the shots on my thighs, which were painful. However, the pain usually subsided within a minute or two. I later tried injecting it in my upper arm and noticed that it hurt less. During the first month, I experienced redness on my face, dry and itchy eyes, and severe pain in my lower back and thighs. My doctor prescribed eye drops, which significantly helped to alleviate the dryness and itchiness. Although the redness on my face has disappeared, the pain in my lower back continues, which is unusual as I never experienced such pain before starting the injection. After using Dupixent for almost 5 months, the itchiness has subsided by 80%, and I can now sleep peacefully at night. Additionally, my skin looks much better, and the eczema spots are gradually fading. Unlike steroids, Dupixent has not caused any weight gain or increased appetite. Overall, I am delighted with the positive results of Dupixent and regret not starting it earlier to spare myself from all the suffering."

Dupilumab "After seven months of taking Dupixent 300 mg SQ every two weeks, it seemed as though its effectiveness was waning. Have had two rounds of steroid tapers, last one in August with no results. Sputum production is copious. Started in 11/23. The side effects involving the eyes are most unpleasant, especially dry, itchy eyes. But the biggest concern is the copious amount of sputum production causing, obviously, shortness of breath and deconditioning as a result of decreased activity. Am ready to ask my physician to discontinue the Dupixent, as I feel that I have been a treatment failure."

Dupilumab for Eczema "I inherited bad eczema from my mum. I finally started Dupixent. I stuffed up one of the injection sites. Now it's bruised with a big lump... four weeks ago. Still the same. I find it flares up really bad for two days. Chronic gastro, headaches, itching, hot and cold sweats, insomnia, however, the massive patches of scaly red skin have faded and will take a while to heal 100%. My third round of the injections, I hope the company keeps continuing to tweak for those suffering from eye problems. It's only $7.70 here in Australia. Dosage: 4 mls every two weeks. Showed my flatmate how to inject, he nearly passed out, lol. He did one injection yesterday but too fast. It really hurt because I can't reach the left side of my stomach at a 45-degree angle. I tried my thigh, but it went straight into muscle. Didn't work, so the only fat I can find is a bit on my"
