"Absolutely, helped me, the drug has improved my life! The problem is with my eyes, weeping, red, inflamed, itchy, etc. Actually, becoming unbearable. (I have been on Dupixent since March 15th, 2018) deciding what to do. (Actually, the Swiss health care may not pay anymore)... interesting, wow people so underestimate this disease... just so, so underestimated how horrible it is for families, etc."

"After having constant eczema on hands, legs, arms, chest, neck, and face, I have found a doctor that was willing to do more than just prescribe steroid creams. I was constantly itching too, it was really affecting my quality of life. I do have allergies which don’t help the situation, but my wonderful dermatologist (the third one’s a charm!) suggested I try Dupixent. I just gave myself the fourth shot this evening. I was nervous about doing the shots myself, but they really are not hard. I prefer the stomach over the thigh. It seems to hurt more when I have done it in the thigh. The main thing that I noticed after the initial two-shot dose was the itching calmed down dramatically. I have also seen an almost 80% clearing of my skin! Awesome drug!"

"Two years ago, my dermatitis went absolutely out of control, and nothing was working. About 2/3 of my body was covered, and I couldn't walk, eat, or sleep without pain. Triamcinolone, prednisone, you name it, no effect. I started on Dupixent in October of last year, and there's been nothing but huge improvement since then. It took about 3 months for the effects to really take hold, but since then I've been down to just very mild eczema in a few spots (above my eyes, behind my ears, and my inner elbows). It's been an absolutely life-changing drug for me. The only complaint I have is how much of a nightmare it was to get my insurance to cover it. Once it was though, I qualified for the manufacturer's copay card, which covers up to $13,000 in out-of-pocket cost per year, so I currently pay nothing for my monthly prescription."

"Been on Dupixent for the past 2.5 months. First 2 weeks on it, I experienced shiny, plastic-like skin and a lot of shedding of old, dry-ish skin. I assumed that was the body getting used to the drug. Also experienced red face and neck with sore eyes. My eyesight started to get worse. Kept with it, hoping it would fix things. Within the 2.5 months, my skin has felt better. Less itch, but my neck and face are still red and I feel my eyesight has gotten progressively worse. I'm stopping it as I feel out of the 14 days between jabs, I get about 2-3 days of good skin and like 7 days of side effects and the last 3 days of what feels like withdrawals. Highly hope people just keep that in mind when looking to go onto it. Your dermo will push for it, but just be aware of your own body. Also note that because it's a biologic, there's no end date to it, so even if it's not a steroid, so you won't get withdrawals, you're still pumping yourself full of stuff constantly. Feels like a Band-Aid solution."

"I have been using Dupixent for a month and a half now and feel pretty good. My husband says my skin feels soft. I've had dermatitis all my life, only using topical creams, but Dupixent so far is working better than anything I've tried. I am so grateful and happy now, it can only get better from here."

"Have been using this for the past 3 months now, and I am a bit disappointed as I am not feeling as good as when I was on cyclosporine. After a few doses, my dermatitis was out of control and everywhere in places I never had dermatitis before. I had to stop my allergy shots since I was feeling that my immune system was too much affected all at once. Now it is after 6 doses, and it is just starting to calm down. But again, I am not seeing any positive results like when I was on cyclosporine. Does anyone have the same feeling? Results? I am really looking to stop it and get back on cyclosporine. Any comments?"

"For me, this drug has been nothing but an unbelievable lifesaver. I cannot even put into words how horribly I've suffered with atopic dermatitis from ages 17-21. I started taking this drug about two years ago, and after about 4-6 months, the skin disease totally went away. I tried every type of diet before, every type of cream, lotion, topical care, nothing worked at all. It is sad that other users have experienced issues with their eyes, I can say that I am lucky enough to not experience any of that."

"Oh, sweet Dupixent! Where have you been all these years of my life? I have been diagnosed with so many things over those 24 years. I have suffered many years without relief. Nothing cured it. I have tried everything, prescription and OTC. It is too many to list. I thought I was going to have to live with this the rest of my life. And I had given up. Even worse, I suffer from chronic itching. When I started the Dupixent injections, my skin was at its worst. I just had my 4th injection. But I am already healed!!! (insert cry face here) The itch is 100% gone. The last breakout is completely healed and I haven't had one since. This has changed my life! I wish more people knew about this!"

"Dupixent has given me my life back!!! In 2020, I suddenly developed severe Atopic Dermatitis. It was debilitating in every way imaginable. Several dermatologists who I saw over the course of the next two years remarked that I was the most severe case they had ever treated. The only relief from the itch, hives, and skin weeping was achieved when prescribed 100mg of prednisone daily. The side effects of taking such a large dosage were taking a horrible toll on my body. I gained 25 lbs, my hair was falling out in clumps, I developed cataracts in just one year and had to have surgery. I was on that dosage for over a year before insurance finally qualified me to start treatment with Dupixent. I noticed a difference within just two weeks! The itch was gone! Hives cleared up by week 5 and my skin was finally starting to heal. One 300mg injection every two weeks and now at 18 months, I've had no side effects and I am totally clear! Thanks to Dupixent, I finally have my life back! Thank you again!"

"I had my first injection a week ago. On the second day, I had chills, weakness, and fever. Breathing problems started. My skin began to peel severely. Discomfort in the heart area. Itching has decreased, and my skin has become firmer. I will add to the review after the next injection."

"I have had AD all my life (36 yrs). Started with Dupixent in Feb 2021. Amazing results after 3 injections. But some side effects: - headaches (may be due to steroids stop) - weakness, need to sleep a lot - weight gain. I did a blood test 3 days before starting Dupixent and then before my 4th shot to assess the impact of this new medication. I was surprised with an important decrease in my lymphocyte level (white blood cells) - that are now under the normal rate. Lymphocytes are the backbone of our immune system, and I thought that Dupixent doesn't have any immunosuppressive effect. I think that I will continue using Dupixent as it really changed my life but will try to space as much as possible my injections, otherwise, I am scared to destroy my immune system. I have already seen feedback where people have succeeded in doing it once every 8-9 months. Anyway, Dupixent is a miraculous medication, and I am very thankful to the research team for this progress in treating atopic dermatitis."

"My first dose of Dupixent in February, which is the double dose, was challenging. My arms broke out like never before, but that dissipated. It's been almost 8 months, and with each dose, I seem to get a little better. My skin has completely transformed from dry, red, and scaly to soft, normally colored skin. Every time my husband touches me, he comments on how much my skin has changed and is amazed by it. The only negative I've experienced on this medication is that my eyesight has gotten worse. But that is a price I'm willing to pay. Also, I wish this medicine was a weekly dose so as to not have the peaks and valleys of a bi-weekly injection."

"I am an atopic dermatitis/eczema patient for 54 years. I have used every steroid and antibiotic ointment and pills. I have been on Otezla, Cellcept, taken tar baths, and bleach baths. Extremely itchy skin. My face, neck, and arms were heavily affected. When I had a flare, I wouldn’t go out. My dermatologist started me on Dupixent, and it has been life-changing for me. I can finally sleep itch-free. I am 80% clear but still having some issues with my face and neck at times. I could use the next shot a couple of days before it's due because I start to flare. The side effects I have experienced have been eyes weeping, herpes/staph infection from time to time. To combat those, I take bleach baths and I wash my face with an antibacterial soap. When I get out of the shower/tub, I put liquid coconut oil all over, even my face. I would recommend Dupixent to anyone who has experience with that incessant itching and rashing eczema/contact dermatitis presents."

"I tried this drug. First of all, the needle used for injection is extremely wide and big. It was very painful when the nurse injected the medicine. Second, this is very expensive. I should not have to endure that much pain with very, very little results. It also made my gastritis worse. I will not be taking this drug ever again."

"I am a 51-year-old female, who, like a lot of people, had quite severe dry skin and eczema all of my life - all the usual things, interrupted sleeping, constant itch, hot showers, creams, and wrappings. I started Dupixent injections in April 2021 and had a fantastic response with the rash and itch clearing up over a couple of months. However, around the 16-week mark, I started noticing a strange prickly itch on the soles of my feet. Over the next couple of months, I also developed tingling and pins and needles with numbness in limb extremities. The neurologist diagnosed polyneuropathy and is reluctant to blame Dupixent, but no other reason was found. The small nerve fibers are affected in hands and feet, which means they are more sensitive to heat and cold. Stopped injections in November. Three months later, the itch has come back, and the neurologist can't say if nerve damage has been permanent, but it most likely won't improve very much, and I could be stuck with it."

"Been using Dupixent for 3 years. Gradually reduced dose to one injection every 21 days - it works fine. Tried one injection every 28 days, got itchy skin on fingers and across the bridge of the nose. So about 1% of what I used to have. Back up to 21 days, and it works fine. Upsides - horrendous eczema since I was 6 days old - and asthma since I was 10 - 'gone'. Still have dry skin but emollients help. Topical steroids nil. Downsides - eyes water and get sore - need eye drops. I use preservative-free 0.24% Sodium Hyaluronate and/or 0.1% Sodium Hyaluronate in isotonic water. - hair loss - body hair went thinner first, arms only have fine down now - then hair on scalp, I had a good head of hair, now I'm nearly bald and having to comb over ('dismissed' by GP as MPB) - but it's new to me. - libido - after 12 months, reduction in initiating coitus had become noticeable - partner concerned - everything works 'OK', just not as often, and a lot of assistance & stimulation is required."

"Just took my fourth dose, and the results are fantastic. Used to have flare-ups: hives with a red face, chest, arms, legs, and intense itching. These every three-day episodes were followed by flaking skin everywhere. Now minimal flare-ups that produce a couple of hives and last only overnight. To go 10 full days with no reactions and limited itching has been life-changing. I would say I’m about 75% clear of all my symptoms with no side effects. Thank you, Dupixent!"

"Started Dupixent a few weeks ago. From the start, it seemed to keep the hives away. So hopeful to finally find something that worked! Not difficult to administer the injection at all. However, after just having my fifth injection, I find the side effects are intolerable. Weight gain, swelling in fingers, legs, and ankles. Rash on face started yesterday. But the very worst part is the eye problem. I hate to research illnesses and symptoms, but it has been so helpful to come here and understand that others are experiencing the same issues. At first, I wondered if I might be losing my mind - my eyes are so irritated and the other miseries... I really, really hope this drug does help folks. I think it's just a matter of who is susceptible to the side effects."

"I received my 1st injection of Dupixent. I developed itchy eyelids. Three days later, I had a red rash on one of my arms. That went away. The eczema itch really hasn't changed any. In fact, the eczema looks worse, I am not that impressed with this drug. This is rather disappointing. I received my 3rd injection, and I am now suffering from terrible insomnia. I also have started itching on different parts of my body. The eczema looks a lot worse. I still am not impressed with this medication. I was hoping that this would help me. I really doubt that this medication is going to. I feel like I am going to be stuck with this."

"This drug has changed my life. I seriously could kiss the manufacturer. I have had terrible outbreaks on my hands for 5+ years. The past year has been the worst. What was once on my hands turned into my entire body with the exception of my face. I’ve lost at least 50% of my hair in the midst of an outbreak that lasted a year. I’m on my 3rd dermatologist (the 1st and 2nd one never did a skin biopsy and had different diagnoses). Please INSIST on a skin biopsy. The 3rd dermatologist did a biopsy and put me on Dupixent (after injections of Humira which was prescribed by derm #2 and made my skin worse). Dupixent has been life-changing. I haven’t had an outbreak at all after 3 injections. I’m happy, not depressed, not itchy, and not a hermit. This drug has been a godsend. After so many years of not knowing and trying to manage this, it’s finally under control."

"I have been on Dupixent for over 24 months. It has been a lifesaver for both issues I have had. I have experienced severe weight gain. I am in my mid-70s, always in the 150-pound area, but I am now in the 170+ range. Just would like to know if anyone else has experienced weight gain. I am very active, I live in a 3-story house and do stairs multiple times per day."

"I have strong itchy skin since 5 years old. Now I am 60. I have itchy skin on most of my legs, especially on my ankles since 5 years ago. I got three steroid shots last year. I started Dupixent in May 2020. I did 20 shots. This shot works on secondary itches after scratching. But I still have strong itch while sleeping, wake up, break time, after shower. I don't take steroids anymore."

"This is my first time on an injectable biologic, and I was especially scared after reading some of these reviews. But in the summer of 2021, I had topical steroid withdrawal (TSW) after 30+ years of using one or another steroid on my face and body. When I stopped the steroids, my face swelled up so badly urgent care thought I was stung by a bee. The swelling would be accompanied by extensive itching and weeping that would make my face swell even more and then finally crust over painfully before subsiding, only to happen again 5 days later. Dupixent saved my life because even though it was clear I had to quit steroids, the side effects from the withdrawal were so traumatic and frightening. The first month of Dupixent wasn't easy - my face and chest area turned beet red and was itchy/hot the first month. But once that subsided, I had the best sleep of my life as I didn't wake up itching! I'm in my 4th month, and the redness/hot feeling is completely gone. No other side effects. Give it a try!"
