"I have been on Beyaz for a year and a half, and I've loved it! I had moderate acne before taking Beyaz, and now I only break out like once a month (it's usually only 2-3 pimples). My period went from a medium/heavy 7 days to light 3-4 days. I hardly have cramps or bloating. I love it. I sometimes get a little emotional, but I contribute that to being 18 years old. The only real negative side effect that I could say that I have about Beyaz is that it's somewhat costly, my insurance doesn't cover it. But since I've loved all that it's done for me, I choose to pay it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new birth control."

"I've been on Safyral for about 6 months now. When my doctor first put me on this pill, I really liked it. It was my first time going on birth control, so I was nervous about all the weight gain rumors. But it was fine, I didn't gain any weight. I actually lost weight, and my breasts got bigger. My skin cleared up, it has been a great contraceptive so far, but it made me so emotional. Maybe 2 or 3 months in, I just got so depressed. Randomly, I would just get so sad and not even know why. I cried all the time, I had a short fuse. The littlest things would just upset me, and I've never been like that, so I'm switching. Everyone is different, though, and besides the emotions, it was a great birth control."

"Been on Safyral for 6 weeks. I have no complaints. I've never been on birth control but had to go on it due to bleeding for 2 months straight, really heavily. My bleeding stopped, I've not had any mood changes, weight gain, acne, or anything. It's regulated my periods, and now I'm back to normal. It's been a great first experience with birth control."

"It took 2-3 months for everything to regulate, but now that I've been on it for almost a year, I love it. My cramps aren't as bad, bleeding is much lighter than it used to be, hormones are 1,000 times more steady, and best of all: only 4 periods per year! The only drawback is that I get random menstrual-like cramps, but they're very light, don't even need to take ibuprofen; it's more of a small annoyance than anything. I haven't gained weight, but my face has broken out some over the past 1-2 months; it didn't for the longest time, so I'm not sure whether there's a correlation to the Beyaz or not. I take it at night because if I take any kind of birth control in the morning, I feel extremely dizzy/nauseous all day. Overall, an awesome choice!"

"I went from Yaz to Beyaz. Worst decision ever. Yaz was amazing, but I was receiving it for free. They couldn't offer it for free anymore, so they put me on Beyaz. My period is longer, my cramps are bad, and I am emotional - which is crazy because I was never emotional when I was on Yaz or no birth control! The worst part is the acne. GIANT pimples everywhere. I am 27 and feel like I am 13! Ladies, keep in mind everyone will have their own experience, as it's how it reacts with your specific body."

"I was taking Yaz, and it worked amazingly for me, but about 2 months ago, I was put on Beyaz and have had a yeast infection both months. I have not had sex in over 6 months, this is the only possible explanation for my yeast infections."

"Two months ago, I started taking Safyral because my doctor had high recommendations and gave me three packs for free. I took it for a month and started feeling uncontrollably moody. I want to cry for no reason, and everything I used to love makes me angry and upset. I switched back to my normal birth control after the first pack was done, but then decided to give it another chance since it is free and I wasn't positive that it was the Safyral making me feel this way. Right now, I am on my second pack and feel horrible, moody, and irritable. On the plus side, my breasts got bigger, and I'm not pregnant. I'm finishing this pack, then switching back to my original again."

"I have been on Beyaz for almost 3 weeks more for endometriosis. So far, I am tired all the time, my breasts have increased a size and are constantly sore. I am hot most of the time (I am normally cold), and my sex drive has increased. I was placed on this because I am having unbearable cramping and pain when having sex. I am unable to afford the laparoscopy at this time, so my doctor has placed me on Beyaz. The pains have gone from an 11 to about a 2, YAY! So far, I have not had any pains during sex. I know that I still need to have this procedure and that this pill will not eliminate the problem, but it is a great help. Just wish the pain in my breast would stop!"

"So far, it's been a lot better than I expected. I have been dreading going on hormonal birth control, but after a failed experience with my Paragard IUD, I gave Beyaz a try. I haven't gained any weight at all, this was my biggest fear, and I'm so happy it didn't come true. My stomach is flat and unbloated. My boobs have increased in size, they just feel nice and full, but not sore! Sometimes I do feel a little blue, and my sex drive is definitely lower. My libido is at about 90% when I am with my boyfriend. My acne has gotten much worse, but they say this happens at first, and then clear skin follows. My period has been light and no cramps!"

"The first birth control I was on, I gained 15 lbs in 5 months. My doctor switched me to Yaz. I had no weight loss and no side effects other than a decrease in my sexual drive. Three months ago, I started taking Beyaz. I have gained 12 lbs in 3 months of taking it! Nothing in my daily routine has changed to make me gain that kind of weight."

"I'm just starting my 3rd week of Beyaz, and after reading some of the scary side effects, I was very hesitant to take it. My doctor assured me that it was safe and that it was one of her favorite pills, and she actually took it herself. The first few days were okay, then I started noticing I got nauseous about an hour after taking it. I was taking it in the evening, a few hours after dinner. My mother suggested taking it with yogurt. So I switched and began taking it at lunch with yogurt, and I have had no additional nausea. I have been more tired than normal, but due to other things going on right now, I can't be certain that is from the pill. Overall, so far I've had a good experience with this pill, and I'm glad my doctor recommended it."

"The only reason I got on Beyaz was because I developed 2 very large ovarian cysts. My doctor recommended the pill to reduce ovulation, which would only make the cyst bigger. I was scared that I was going to gain weight. At first, I hated the pill because I bled very lightly for an entire month. My doctor said that was normal for the first month. Then I noticed that my skin was clearing up really nicely. I didn't notice any weight gain, but the best part was Beyaz sorted my monthly cramps. I was so relieved. The only thing I can say that I don't like about Beyaz is that if I miss a pill and take it when I remember, it seems like over the next 2 or 3 days my acne flares up really bad, and I hate that. Just stay consistent, I recommend it 100%."

"I have been taking Beyaz for 3 years. And I love it! I take it religiously! Same time every day! I have had no problems with it, in fact, my periods have become lighter since taking it! Which I love because I hated my period. And my face is so clear! I had bad acne before I started it, and I get compliments all the time now about how clear and smooth my face is! And I would recommend this pill to someone who knows they can take it on time every day, who wants to get rid of their acne, and who doesn't want any kids!"

"I have been on Beyaz for a week now. Before that, I had an IUD, which was removed after four years because of severe pain. The only side effect I really notice at this point is nausea throughout the day, and I feel tired all day. I have a history of depression and anxiety with panic attacks. I don't notice any difference with those symptoms so far. The nausea is really bad around the afternoon every day, even though I take it at night. Since this is only my first week, I'm going to stick it out and see what happens this month!"

"Beyaz was my first birth control pill. I bled throughout the first month, and I got cramps, which really scared me because I usually have short periods and almost never get cramps. After the first month, the bleeding stopped, my face cleared up, and my sex drive increased. Sadly, after 6-7 months of being on Beyaz, I noticed my vaginal lubrication wasn't the same, even when my sex drive was high. For me, that was a huge upside down, and I decided to switch to another pill, but I would definitely recommend it since that was the only side effect I experienced."

"I am 19 years old and have been taking Beyaz for 3 months. This is my first time being on birth control. However, I am switching because of the mood swings. I feel like I have crippling depression. I am NOT like this at all - this isn't me. It has gotten worse each month. I cry at every little thing and have had increasing suicidal thoughts. It is absolutely miserable. Other than depression, other negative effects have been weight gain (nearly 10 lbs), low sex drive, and my acne has stayed prominent. The only positive aspects are I didn't get pregnant (a few times I missed my time to take the pill up to 7 hours), and my breasts are definitely bigger than normal."

"I've been on this birth control for eight months. My skin is clearer than ever. I have occasional breakthrough bleeding, but it's just spotting, nothing big, no mood swings, but once a month my belly bloats a little bit. Didn't make me gain any weight, though."

"I've been on Beyaz since September 2013 after switching from the Depo shot. I love the pill, however, I get really bad cramps when my period comes. Not sure if it's because my body is still adjusting to being off the shot or what."

"This is my first time using birth control pills. I have been on Safyral for a month and a half. It has cleared up my skin significantly but caused bad mood swings and nausea. I am switching to a new birth control with a lower dose of hormones to help with my mood."

"I'm about to finish my first pack, and I have mixed reviews. During the first 2 weeks, I was craving sugar like crazy. About the third week, that calmed down, though. I started taking Safyral because I was having breakthrough bleeding with LoEstrin, and already Safyral has regulated my period to just the week of my placebo pills. My period started late, but that's not a big deal considering this is my first month on this birth control. The most annoying side effect is the bloating. I don't think I've ever felt this bloated, and I NEVER get cramps on my period, but I'm having cramps with this pill. I'm sure these symptoms will calm down as my body gets used to it, if not, I'm switching to something different."

"The first week, I was convinced I had the flu. I would vomit a few hours after I took the pill and felt lightheaded. I could barely function. That went away, and I started getting headaches. The good thing is I didn't gain or lose weight."

"I was put on this pill for two months. In the first 3 days, I already knew I needed something else. I am normally quite laid-back and cheery but have had small issues with anxiety. On Beyaz, my anxiety was constant, and I would get into periods of complete emotional detachment or where anything someone said would hurt me. I would have anxiety attacks so bad that I would scratch at my skin, and my boyfriend would have to hold me down. Not to mention, my sex drive was pretty much gone, and when I would have sex, there would be intense pain or pressure on my lower abdomen. If you already struggle with anxiety or depression, I recommend staying away from this pill."

"I used to be on Yaz until the price got so high. I switched to a different one for a few months, had awful side effects, so my year check-up came and my doctor recommended Beyaz. I have been on it for almost a year. And my sex drive is almost completely gone, and I'm more moody on the pill than off. It's crazy. But I don't have any headaches anymore. Had no weight gain and no cramping or back aches on my period."

"If you're browsing this wondering whether to try it, just give it a chance for 2 months. Everyone is so different, you'll never guess your own reaction browsing others' experiences. But if you're curious - here's mine. It was recommended to me for a hormonal imbalance/acne when I was 18. I'm 25 now and still taking it. The first month was awful, but I'm glad I stuck it out. Now my periods are lighter, cramps are milder, migraines are gone, and I did not experience any major side effects (no weight gain or moodiness!). However, my sex drive isn't as high. Not nonexistent, just taken down a notch. I still think the benefits have outweighed the cons for me. Also - I was switched to Rajani and then back to Beyaz. Didn't notice any difference."

"I was scared to take Beyaz because of some of the reviews I had, but I’m so glad I did. I was diagnosed with mild PCOS and was having irregular spotting and pelvic cramps from it. After 2 months of being on it, my pelvic cramps and irregular bleeding have gone away. My periods are now lighter, and I have less cramping. I did experience a breakout when I first started taking it, but it wasn’t too bad, and it eventually went away within a couple of weeks. I definitely recommend this birth control, and it hasn’t caused me anything bad for me so far!"
