Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I started Safyral in April for irregular menstrual cycle and severe PMS. My only complaint was that for about a week or two, I was spotting off and on, but my periods are very light. I'm used to a very heavy flow, no backaches, cramps. I still will get an occasional pimple, literally 1 or 2, a few days before my cycle, but no acne, mood swings, or depression. My only regret is not starting this sooner."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "Overall, this was a good pill for me. The only reason I stopped taking it was because I wanted to switch to a form of birth control that I didn't have to take every day. At first, for maybe the first two weeks, I felt more depressed, but after that, I felt the same as usual. I did spot through pretty much the whole second month, BUT that has happened with every birth control I have been on, so I think it is just my body. There was also a mild increase in acne toward the end of the first pack, but it went away and my skin became very clear. This pill was also helpful for excess hair growth that I have in certain areas. It was a helpful pill for my PMS symptoms and to regulate my periods."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I've been on Beyaz for 1 month. It's the first kind I've tried, and it's worked pretty well for me so far. The only problem is that I have moments where I get extremely moody. My hunger has increased, and I get headaches more often than usual. Also, towards the end of the pack, I started spotting a lot. Other than that, I'm happy with it. The side effects aren't too bad, so I can't complain. They will probably go away since I've only been on it for a month, and my body's still getting used to it."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "So I will say that Beyaz has served its course. I've been on it for a little over a year and can only offer 2 pros. Pros: it stopped my period, it prevented pregnancy. Cons: the mood swings are terrible, I am always irritated, every little thing bothers me, I am so rude to my husband. Not to mention, I cry at the drop of a dime. Before Beyaz, I could count on one hand the number of times I had cried in the last 5 years. Also, the weight gain. My doctor put me on Beyaz because it was supposed to help me lose weight. Instead, I have gained everywhere, and although I constantly work out, I can't lose the weight. I have never had acne, so I can't really speak on that, but I will say that I have had quite a few breakouts while being on Beyaz."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "On day 7 of Beyaz. I'm 22, and I was previously taking Femcon. I discontinued because of severe anxiety that could or could not have been related to the birth control (it's hard to tell sometimes if the symptoms are the pill or just you). I took a year break off of birth control before starting Beyaz. So far, I have mixed feelings. I have been feeling panicky and moody, but again, I'm not sure if that is a product of the birth control or my GAD. I also went back on birth control for my skin because I have bothersome acne. I have been developing pretty severe headaches, and I have also been feeling nauseous. My doctor said these symptoms will go away with time, so for now I am going to stick it out and see."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I have been taking Beyaz for a year now to prevent pregnancy. Because I have been taking it consistently at a scheduled time, it has worked wonders! I would recommend this pill to anyone that is sexually active. Only side effects I have noticed are blood clots and emotional sensitivity. 10/10, highly recommend."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I was prescribed this medicine to help with my erratic periods. It was great, at first. About eight months into it, I became anemic from heavy bleeding and had nine-day periods instead of four. I've also experienced spotting eight months into taking it."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I have been on this for about 6 months now and started on it to help with my irregular and heavy periods, as well as a contraceptive. Let me just say all women's hormones are different, but for me, this works. Don't have acne (never really had a problem with it before). I start my pills on a Friday, and when I finish my active pills, I have my period on a Tuesday/Wednesday. It's prevented pregnancy (I'm only 21, don't want a baby) and keeps my periods in check. I love it!"

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I love this birth control. No weight gain, acne cleared up, shorter/lighter periods. Only problem is I can't tolerate wearing my contact lenses for very long (no more than 4 hrs). Best thing about it, no babies!"

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "When I first started taking Beyaz, it was great. I had no problems, but towards the end of the cycle, I had a terrible attitude, was very emotional, nauseous, and had too many headaches. Once my period was gone, it came back a day after, and it was light to medium. Very bad cramps. My appetite increased a lot more when I started. But everyone's body is different and would react differently to the pills."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "Have almost been on Safyral for a year, and I love it. I used to have really heavy periods, but I know exactly when I am going to start (usually a Tuesday night to Wednesday morning), and I know I'll stop on Sunday. It's lighter. I have noticed that sometimes my bad cramps I used to have are starting to return. It has definitely kept the babies away, which is the reason I went on the birth control and will continue to keep using it."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I have been on Beyaz for 6 months, and as a birth control, it works as it should. When I first started, I had no symptoms. But I gained around 10-15 pounds, which, for my size, isn't a bad thing, but the fact I don't fit in my pants comfortably now stinks. For my cramps, it didn't do a single thing. I still get cramps that make me want to curl in a ball all day. While my period is finally regular, it seems a little heavier. I was told it would help my cramps and period, but I guess my body doesn't like that."

"I originally started on the original Beyaz on May 27, 2016, at the age of 37 for heavy menstrual periods as well as PMDD. At first, it was wonderful. My periods were so light, and next to no cramping! Mood stabilized. Then in the beginning of November, I was given the brand new fresh on the market generic. Three months into it, my periods started to get heavier. Fast forward another two months, and they're pretty much back to being as heavy as they were before I was even put on the pill. Cramping badly, mood completely out of control, skin breaking out more. Also suddenly experiencing brown, sometimes mixed with red discharge off and on, which I NEVER had before, even when I first started taking the pill."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I have been on this pill for a couple of months now. It's great with acne and no weight gain or anything, but I will say it's absolutely horrible with moods. I've had the worst mood swings. I'm depressed, and I literally cry over anything, and when I start, I can't stop!"

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I have been on this birth control for about 2 to 3 months. I have terrible menstrual cramps, acne did clear up. Heavy bleeding during the period, but no breakthrough bleeding. Not pregnant! Very moody and cry over sad songs and sad commercials. I'm going back to the doctor in a few weeks and changing."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "No breakthrough bleeding, felt the best that I ever had, lost weight, and felt like my old self again. So, I started this medicine in April 2012 and am currently on it, and it's October 2012. This will be my last pack. I have experienced nausea, bloating, mood swings, sadness, depression, fatigue, and just don't feel like myself anymore."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I started Beyaz about 6 months ago. The first 3 months were great. No acne. No crying. No anger or crazy mood swings. The last 2 or 3 months have been bad, though. My face started breaking out, I am very emotional and angry. I don't know if it's because my pharmacy started giving me the generic version or it's the hormones, but everything was great until recently."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I've been on Beyaz for 6 days now, and I feel slightly different. Started on the first day of my period. I don't know if it's me, but I've been feeling nauseous on day 5 and a tiny headache here and there. Hope this is just a beginning process. Let's see how it goes. I'm not liking how I feel. Just blah."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I've been on Safyral since January 2011. (Almost a year) It was awesome at first, but as time went on, it slowly started to change me. Great if you don't have a boyfriend. I say that because I have ZERO want or desire to be cuddly or intimate with my amazing, sweet, and near-perfect boyfriend of two years. It's the most frustrating of all my symptoms. Next are the mood swings, angry one minute, sad the next, anxious... it never ends! Before this pill, I always considered myself to be a 'guy' when it came to emotions, I was always just happy-go-lucky, NOT with this. Emotions = scale of 1 on this stuff. Pros = 100% clear skin, all the time! No weight gain. It's not the WORST birth control out there, but just be prepared to ride an emotional roller coaster."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I have been on this birth control for about a month and a half now. This is my first time on birth control, so I did not understand all the changes that were going on. BUT I started craving so many things, and also nausea will come! Also, many mood swings, especially when my period is near, all I want to do is cry, and acne was HORRIBLE. I did not gain weight or anything like that, though."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I had a pretty good experience with Safyral while I was on it. It helped regulate my cycle to be much more predictable and on time, and helped with my often severe leg cramps. I didn't experience any weight gain, and though I was sometimes moody, it wasn't anything outside of normal PMS. It did what it was supposed to do, I suppose. However, my problems were when I had to go off Safyral. My insurance stopped covering it, and at first, my OB/GYN didn't have any samples for me, so I had to stop taking it for a while. This is when I started to gain weight and had some crazy mood swings. I felt kind of depressed at times, cried often at work (which is unlike me), and just felt over-emotional."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I have been on this pill for five months now, going on 6. I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for years, almost 10, then my body started to reject it. But I loved it. Perfectly timed periods and no side effects whatsoever. My doctor switched me to Natazia. Terrible. I had terrible acne and ridiculous bloating and weight gain all in my stomach area. I work out regularly and eat healthy. My only vice is alcohol. So after three months on that pill, I was switched to Safyral. I get very bloated one week before my period. My period is very heavy. I get bad cramps, although this month they seem to have subsided, as today is the first of my placebo pills and no cramps this month. But I am very bloated. Acne minimum."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "Took it for 4 years. Acne was cleared up perfectly, and I actually lost weight. In the beginning, however, I had pretty bad anxiety and was noticeably more emotional. Towards the end of my use, I noticed my lethargy and mental fuzziness while in college. I also had dryness and a pretty low sex drive. Great obvious pros, but for me, there were hidden cons physiologically and psychologically."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I've been on this for about a month, and the first week was great. But then I started to bleed heavily, and it hasn't stopped for two weeks. I've got bad back aches and terrible acne, as well as bloating. I'm looking forward to switching off this and onto Lo Loestrin Fe."

Drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium "I've never taken birth control before. I'm 24 and I got on it to try to stop sudden breakouts. I've been on Beyaz for only 6 days. I can see my oily skin becoming noticeably less oily and shine-free throughout the day, which I'm hoping will clear my face completely in the long run. As of now, my skin feels softer, less oily, and seems to be clearing up. On the downside, I feel very, very tired. I'm on my last week of school taking finals, and I regret not having waited until after finals because all I want to do is sleep. I do feel a little more irritable than usual, but it's manageable."
