Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "So I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and am taking Wellbutrin, however, it wasn't doing enough, so I requested to try a stimulant, specifically this one since the ratings are so high and predominantly positive. Within minutes of taking 10mg, the anxiety was... just way too much. I also didn't really know how to feel or what to do. It did help me with focusing... better than almost anything else I've tried. Then after that, I went away. About a half an hour later, I started to feel better after I ate something. The remainder of the day, I was so tired I just laid in bed. It works, don't get me wrong, but I just can't put my faith in an addictive/physically dependent med. I stopped taking it. Gonna try Strattera next."

For ADHD "I, like many others, have had nothing but major side effects from Lannett Pharmaceuticals' generic Adderall. Does absolutely nothing to help me focus. I picked it up 3 days ago and have been in bed the past 2 days sleeping! Makes me very angry and no energy at all. I plan to notify the FDA as well as get an attorney. Sick of being screwed by the generic Adderall manufacturers. May not do a bit of good, but I am going to try. Messing with people's brains is not right!!!! 20 mg, 3 x Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine - Lannett"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Tried for two months. This stuff is horrible. My eyes itch, my stomach hurts all the time, and I never feel like I am getting any benefit. I could fall asleep after taking this medication. I am more tired than alert. I will be asking to go back on Vyvanse."

For ADHD "I have been taking Adderall on and off since I was in 3rd grade. I have been on it consistently for the past 10-12 years. The last few years I have been using 20 mg XR daily in the morning, and it helps me tremendously. I have been using the orange capsules made by Amneal and never once had an issue with them, other than the usual side effects. This past month, I received the blue TEVA capsules 20 mg XR and have not felt right all month. The last 4-5 days I have been extremely tired, chills, sweats, and just completely out of it. My stomach has felt very funny, like I'm queasy, but never actually throw up. I read a few comments from the last few months and now see I am not the only one experiencing the TEVA effects."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "I'm from the UK, and it's called Elvanse, but it is the same medication. I first started on the lowest dose and worked my way up: 20mg, 30mg, 50mg, and then 70mg. For a long time, I was on 70mg, trying to figure out what works best for me to stay awake. And it did keep me awake for school, however, I was still very tired afterward and would often nap, so my doctors decided to start giving me sodium oxybate (Xyrem). Whilst on sodium oxybate, I lost a lot of weight, going from 10.6 stone (67kg) to 8.13 stone (51kg). This meant that the 70mg Elvanse I was taking was making my body work too well, and I kept getting a fast heart rate while resting. It was quite worrisome since I've never had symptoms like this before. My doctors have taken me down to 50mg, however, my heart rate still goes up for no reason. For example, today I was sitting at my computer with 60 bpm when my heart rate started going up to 132 bpm, which lasted for minutes. It's definitely something I am looking into, but I assume it's the stimulants."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "I personally didn't like the way I felt when I decided to take more before the scheduled time to take it. I was very agitated, couldn't sleep for 3 days even though I felt tired and wanted to sleep. Do not do more than the recommended dosage."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I did well taking both extended release in the morning and a second dose of instant release in the afternoon. It keeps me going, and my focus is sharper and better than ever. The only side effect is the tiredness when it wears off."

For ADHD "The Lannett 10 mg works really well for me, even better than the brand-name or the Epic 15 mg. The others make me tired, or my head doesn't feel clear, and I act impulsively and don't get things done. Vs. the Lannett reduces my ADHD a lot. Seems like a lot of people don't like it. Please don't try to get it taken off the market because it helps me a lot."

For Fatigue "A week on this (10 mg once a day). I am 31 y/o and weigh 135 lb. It makes my body ache and decenter my sense of balance slightly (especially when sitting for long periods). I thrash in my sleep. I have to force myself to eat. Exhausted at the end of the day, leading to a messier living space. I sweat more, and I foresee skin problems (from past experience with stimulants). It does have a time-compression effect where I am much less likely to waste time. So it is doing what it's supposed to. However, I still jump from subject to subject very erratically. True focus will require discipline training, and I hope this drug will help me achieve that."

For ADHD "I was just prescribed amphetamine/dextroamphetamine R 351 20 mg for ADD. The first day I took it at 11 am yesterday, I felt extremely tense and uncomfortable, the exact opposite of what I thought it was going to be. Then, at about 12 am, I had a very bad headache, couldn't go to sleep until 4 am, woke up, and took half and just felt out of it all day. No energy, no increased focus. I was just wondering if anyone else is on the same drug??? Because all pictures of this drug online look orange and pink and blue, which is kind of strange because I got it from a clinic, not a regular doctor's office. I don't even know if I want to take it tomorrow because of the negative side effects, feeling kind of hopeless at this point. Hopefully, someone has some info."

For ADHD "I found it helpful to keep me focused. I take 30 mg x 2 daily. After 3 years of taking it, I don't believe it works anymore. I lose concentration and I am tired a lot. Age 59."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I’ve been on Mydayis 37.5 mg for a week after taking two and a half 20 mg Adderall for four years. I feel slightly more focused for a few hours longer than my first dose of 20 mg Adderall but much, much more tired. I find myself looking for sugar or caffeine to keep focused at work after five or six hours. I don’t know if the dose is too low or it’s just not for me. Hopefully, at my next appointment after trying it for 30 days, my PCP will have some answers or suggestions! I don’t want to gain weight!!"
