Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "I was recently diagnosed with narcolepsy in early 2019. I was started on Adderall, but it took about 6 months to get the regimen that worked for me. I was quite sick at the stomach for about 3 months with nausea and headaches. I take 30 mg at 9 a.m. and 10 mg at 1 p.m. Finally, it's working well to a certain degree. I still need at least two naps during the day and have most of my energy in the morning and early afternoon. Come 7-8 p.m., I'm literally exhausted. I realized how well the medication worked after I missed a dose. I wondered why I was yawning all day and barely able to stay awake. It was because I had forgotten to take my Adderall. Despite how well it works, I still seem to yawn almost constantly. I would not be able to get through the day without it. It's not a 100 percent fix, but I can function for most of the day using it. So, that's a plus for me."

For ADHD "I have been taking generic and brand name Adderall since 2019, and I finally found a drug combination that worked for me and helped me immensely. However, I am not experiencing any benefits with Sandoz, which is the main issue I want to address. The dosage is also a concern for me, as I received an orange, barrel-shaped, round tablet with E 404 from Eon manufacturer, which made me feel tired and did not regulate my mood. I have searched online, but I cannot find any information about this tablet, which makes me feel alone. Moreover, it does not seem to work as advertised, and it is not a 30 mg tablet, as they claim it to be. Instead, it might be a 20 mg tablet, which is very frustrating. I am struggling in school, relationships, and daily routine because of this tablet, and it is just not acceptable. Unfortunately, my doctor does not seem to understand my concerns, which is annoying. I hope I am not the only one who has experienced these issues with Sandoz, but at the same time, I would not wish this tablet on anyone. It is simply not worth the suffering."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Overall, I'd say that Adderall XR is better than Adderall IR. Sometimes I feel faint on Adderall XR. I can't take it every day because I get too tired. I have weird side effects with medications. I usually get all of the side effects when I take medications. I also have depression too. Hopefully, Dexedrine will work."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was prescribed 50 mg. 1st day I could literally feel the release of the medication. During the lag of the release, I would get headaches, become tired, irritable, and frustrated with every situation and conversation. By evening time, I couldn't carry a conversation without forgetting prior known facts. Saturday, I was completely not myself. On top of how I felt Friday, I was emotional, had down thoughts, I couldn't follow a timeline: I was late for everything. Sunday seemed to be better but not by much. Monday... horrible, it was like I added Friday and Saturday symptoms together, then add in horrible chest pain, shortness of breath, constant feeling of about to faint, fever, flu symptoms, hot/cold, exhausted but not able to sleep, & more symptoms. I refuse to take another dose."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Generic Adderall is tricky. I found out that Walgreens has Lannett from Elite Pharma. They literally don't work, I felt tired. Finally, after checking pharmacies, CVS carries TEVA, which I am used to. The problem was the Lannett 30 mgs are identical to the TEVA's except for the letter stamp on the pill. The Lannett has 'e', TEVA has 'b.' Out of the generics, I find SANDOZ and TEVA to work nicely."

For Fatigue "I was started on Adderall in 2002, while in a rehabilitation center for teenagers. I didn't know what ADD was, I knew I couldn't concentrate but never seemed I had a disorder. When I started taking, I realized I could focus easier. I went on to graduate high school. I'm 29 years old now, I'm still prescribed, however, the pills don't do much since I've been taking the highest dose for several years every day. Without them, I'm so tired, I literally fall asleep sitting up. I've realized how addictive these are, they are becoming harder to fill in certain areas because more and more people are getting prescriptions. I myself was the only person I knew of prescribed in a small town in Indiana, years ago, now my entire hometown is on this medicine."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was put on Ritalin when I was 6. I did not like it. I took myself off of it when I was 14. My grades plummeted, I developed depression, and then anxiety. I continued to become lethargic and relied heavily on caffeine. I am now 25. I began to take Adderall recently due to severe trouble concentrating at work, thinking it may help me keep my job. Now that my body seems to be used to the medication, I can hardly tell I'm on it. I have noticed improved memory, focus, and concentration. I did have some very adverse side effects accidentally combining with caffeine. I've found now that my body has adjusted I have no side effects, and my concentration remains improved, and, bonus, no depression. I do worry about cessation."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I restarted on Adderall XR about 8/9 months ago, and it was helping quite a bit at first, but quickly became less effective. We ended up doing Adderall XR in the morning and instant release Adderall in the afternoon. And then after a few months of feeling little effect from the XR, we switched to just instant release Adderall twice a day as needed. Since being on it, I am much more able to concentrate/focus and have an easier time getting schoolwork or house chores done. One side effect I have noticed from it is I tend to feel exhausted in the mornings before it kicks in. I am not sure if this is due to the time on the Adderall or if my other medications (escitalopram and risperidone) are causing drowsiness. All in all, little to no side effects and has been VERY helpful."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "Took methylphenidate SR (Ritalin sustained release) 100 mgs a day for years for major depression, was still tired, could still sleep at any time, but not too bad. Dr. retired, new Doc doesn't want to prescribe that, he switched the script to Adderall 90 mgs a day. Worked at first but not well, now it is worthless. I can hardly get out of bed, and it is almost impossible to stay awake all day. Did the sleep study a few weeks ago and was diagnosed with narcolepsy without cataplexy, prescribed Modafinil to take with the Adderall, a little better. In my case, the Adderall must go. Very good that it works for others, as no one wants to feel like they are sleeping their life away."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall has changed my life. I have so much more energy, I'm more alert, and can stay focused on tasks a lot easier. However, I notice when it is starting to wear off, I get really moody. So, I make sure I'm not around people when that's the case. I was really worried about becoming dependent, so at least once or twice a week, I don't take it at all to make sure I'm not addicted. Another warning, don't take this after 1 p.m. You will be up all night. It sucks. Your body will be so tired, and you'll want to go to sleep, but your mind is just alert and wide awake! It really suppresses the appetite too, but the longer you take it, the less effect it has!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "I could not get out of bed without Adderall. I have been taking it since 2000. However, I developed a severe spinal disease, fibromyalgia, and arthritis. I had to give in to taking pain meds, which interfered with my Adderall dosage. I currently take 40 mg. I have found this dose ineffective for the past several years. My family doctor prescribes my meds and doesn't feel comfortable titrating up to 60 mg. I weigh 335 lb as well. I am frustrated and feel exhausted most of the day."

For ADHD "I've been taking generic Adderall for years, especially when I started showing signs of fibromyalgia. I am taking one 20 mg tab twice daily. I have been on the Teva brand since I can remember. I started using it when I was in college, and it was the only thing that worked for me. Now, with the shortage, I'm scared to even take the last of my medication because it helps me get through my fibro. The last two months, I've had problems filling my prescription. Walgreens didn't tell me that they substituted with a different brand and told me that it was the same. I couldn't even get through my workday because I was in a panic attack, tired, and hallucinating. I stopped taking it after only one day and was so depressed and not myself for two days. The brand they switched me to was Camber. I looked it up and saw a review, and a girl left a review identical to mine. I'm afraid to try a different brand, but I would like to know what the best alternative would be similar to Teva."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Today was my first day on Mydayis 50 mg. I was taking Vyvanse 50 mg, but it was only helping for about 4-5 hours, then wearing off. Today I could really tell the difference in my concentration/focus and my energy; it was much better. I did, however, feel tired about an hour to two hours after taking it but then got motivation after that for the remainder of the day. Like I said, my focus was better; I wasn't running around my house like a crazy woman, starting a ton of tasks and finishing none. I was able to get things accomplished pretty easily today. I am remaining hopeful that Mydayis will continue to work for me."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I've been taking Adderall for now 4 months. It's helped so much! My grades have improved tremendously! I'm more focused and can pay attention a lot more. The only issue is when I take it, I take one 30mg pill a day. By the end of school, I'm exhausted and feel sick. I've lost almost 20 pounds, and I don't take it on the weekends because I can't have fun."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "It takes too long to kick in, I have to get up hours before I am supposed to just to take it so I am alert at work. I was just sitting here today trying to figure out why I have been so tired and sad, and I started reading the side effects, and now it all makes sense. I am going to keep taking it until my month is up, and if it doesn't get better, I am going back to my Vyvanse and Adderall."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I am only giving this a 7 because it definitely made a change in my ability to concentrate for long periods, but it was not a pleasant experience. As soon as I took the medicine, it would make me feel exhausted and tired. I would have to fight the tiredness to get any benefit out of it. By the end of the day, I was drained. It also made me extra agitated. I couldn't focus on more than one thing at a time, so when someone would distract me, I would get very irritated. I also tensed up my muscles and had bad neck/bad pain. I switched to Ritalin, but that was crap too. They put me on Vyvanse, and it feels similar, but less intense than Adderall, so we shall see."

For ADHD "I feel tired, sleepyhead, stomach burning. What the heck is this pill, 20 mg Alvogen MFG? I was taking Teva salt combo and I felt like I could focus. Prior, I was taking Mallinckrodt, it was okay but I felt a little dizzy with this pill. I was able to focus a little, too strong, but the best pill is Teva salt combo, it is perfect. I feel so tired and nauseous with this new pill. What’s the point of it?"

For ADHD "My doctor recently called in my Adderall XR prescription to Kroger. I had to get generic because I currently don’t have insurance. As soon as I took this medication, I knew something was off. I felt incredibly tired, like I just wanted to get back in bed. This generic that Kroger gave me is manufactured by a company called Lannett. It’s horrible. I’m now trying to find a pharmacy that supplies a generic made by a company called Prasco. Apparently, it’s supposed to be very good. I think that Walgreens has Teva (which is great), but it’s super expensive."

For ADHD "I’ve been taking Adderall for 15 years, and it has done miracles for me. Yes, some side effects, but it pulled me out of a major depression. Last month, I started feeling off and getting worse every day. Was so depressed I thought of a million different things that may be causing it. To no avail, I’m still suffering, and I think I finally know why. I read a review that said the generic Lennox has had a formula change. Well, I can definitely attest to that. It feels like the last 2 months were miserable, with headache, depression, major panic, and zero focus. I got to the point where I saw no end and my quality of life. The new Lennox Adderall does nothing. I can take a larger dose and feel nothing. With the old formula, I took two 20 mg as prescribed, and my life was well on track, and I felt normal. As it is, I can’t stop terrible mood swings and no energy. I know this is the problem because I found an old pill, took it, and bang, snapped out of my funk."

For Fatigue "I don't recall the name of the initial generic brand I was on, but they were orange and circular 20 mg. I took one each morning for the last 6 months, and they were amazing. Kept me awake and focused. This month, my pharmacy switched to TEVA generic pills, peach-colored and oval-shaped 20 mg. Absolutely horrible. I'm tired all the time, I have no focus, and I sweat profusely from my armpits and feet even though my basement office is around 65°F. I called around, and another pharmacy has Sandoz (NDC#00185-0853-01). I'll get my prescription changed over to them and try that generic brand instead."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was on 70 mg Vyvanse for several years, but was constantly complaining that it stopped working by 2 pm every day. So when Mydayis came out, my doctor suggested I try it. It DOES last longer, but that also means constantly being 'on' from the time you take your pill to the time you fall asleep. This led to a non-stop feeling of being overwhelmed and worsened anxiety. I was stuck in a state of exhaustion but never able to rest. I started at 32.5 mg and didn't feel it was helping me concentrate, so I went up to 50 mg and still didn't feel like I was concentrating well. The worst issue I had is a much higher diastolic blood pressure - I'm talking after 4 months on Mydayis, I was 15 points higher than before I started it. Additionally, I started grinding my teeth and clenching my jaw, leading my dentist to comment on some chipping of my teeth from grinding. I'm switching back to Vyvanse. Mydayis is not worth it - be careful what you wish for, I guess!"

For Fatigue "It’s been one of the most effective medications I’ve taken to treat my fibromyalgia and MS fatigue and the ADD I developed as a result of my initial MS attack. I never would’ve been able to settle my parents’ estates or finish raising my children without it. I’ve evaluated it in comparison to similar meds, and there really isn’t a comparison in effectiveness. All the other vitamins, protocols, infusions, stimulants left me too tired to brush my teeth."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Taking 25 mg right now and was on Adderall XR 30 mg. I don't understand this medicine since it usually makes me tired and down for about 2-3 hours after taking it, then get an okay amount of focus for another 6-8 hours. I personally can't deal with those 3 hours every day when I need to be productive, so I will try something else. This drug may be very similar to the chemicals in Adderall, but it definitely does not feel like it."
