For ADHD "I was given the Lannett brand of Adderall for the first time. I’ve never had negative effects from Adderall in the past, but this brand has given me headaches and nausea. I also do not feel any positive effects for my ADD. Won’t be taking it again."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have been taking Adderall XR 30mg for about 7 months now, and I am starting to get concerned. I started out with 20mg, but was still very impulsive, so I upped the dose to 30mg. I can focus and listen really well, but I am noticing increasing negative effects. I noticed dizziness right away, but this improved after a few weeks. Then I started to notice myself constantly stumbling over words when talking. I have NEVER had that problem before. I began to get headaches every day about two months ago, and it is getting worse daily. That's a big concern to me because amphetamines are bad for the liver and kidneys as it is, and now I HAVE to take increasing doses of ibuprofen just to 'take the edge off' of the headaches."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Switched from Concerta to Mydayis for the longer duration mechanism Mydayis offers. Was started on 25 mg of Mydayis. ADD symptoms improved, but I experienced dry mouth, dizziness, heart increase, and appetite decrease, which subsided after the first week. Second week, I felt like the dose was not effective. Doc switched me to 37.5 mg of Mydayis, and so far symptoms of ADD improved, but side effects are rough. Dry mouth, headache, dizziness, lack of appetite, increased anxiety. I’m on day 4 or 5, so hoping the side effects subside when my body adjusts to the higher dose... fingers crossed."

For ADHD "I have been taking Adderall for quite some time, but this month I went to CVS and got my normal 10 mg, took them and felt NOTHING. By the end of the day, I had taken 60 mg, way more than normal and felt NOTHING but a headache. Got my doctor to switch the script to 20 mg, went back and got a faded-looking orange pill with U30 on it. First of all, it was all crumbly, then it was BITTER instead of the normal sweet taste. I have taken 60 mg again and I'm about to fall asleep! CVS must know they are selling rubbish! Next month I won't fill unless I make sure it's not from these people!"

For ADHD "I am 62 years old and new to this, so can someone help me? I have been on every ADHD med that they have, and I have been doing this one for a year. Nothing works well for me until I tried Vyvanse 40 mg, that did finally work, and I was on it for 4 months. Then the new year came, and my insurance deductible has not been met, so the pills cost me almost $400 a month. I cannot afford that, so my MD is getting mad and said, “I don’t know what to order you?” So she put me on amphetamine SLT CMB 20 mg, 2 times a day. This does not work either, it makes me dizzy, and I have a headache all day. Can anyone help me? I am about to give up."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was diagnosed with ADD about 5 years ago; a year later, I started taking Concerta for 2-3 months; it gave me headaches and didn't help. Hearing good things about Adderall, I tried it and, wow, it was like magic. I felt awesome, I could actually think and focus, and everything was great with not-so-terrible side effects. The thing with Adderall for me was that I constantly had to change doses (I tried XR 10, 20, 30, and regular 5, 10). I jumped all over the spectrum because my biggest side effect was it affected my sleep, and I was soon diagnosed with moderate obstructive sleep apnea; may not be correlated, but it exploited this problem. After roughly 3.5 years, the side effects have increased and it doesn't help much. Looking into Desoxyn and Dexedrine."

For ADHD "I was prompted by my doctor to switch to 25 mg of Mydayis from 40 mg of Vyvanse. After 2 weeks of being on Mydayis, I can confidently say that this was the worst decision I've ever made. Symptoms that I've experienced include nausea (vomited 20 minutes before writing this), stomach pains, flu-like body aches, confusion, fatigue, dry throat, headaches, and frequent urination. Compared to Vyvanse, there is no competition. None of my ADHD symptoms were treated effectively by this medication. In fact, I find myself significantly worse off after taking this medication due to the constant fatigue (which is odd for an amphetamine) and extreme nausea. Even now, I'm having an extremely difficult time writing this, constantly spacing out, dry-heaving, etc. I plan on switching back to Vyvanse, which worked quite well at treating my ADHD symptoms, and might try a 50 mg dosage instead. In conclusion, I absolutely would not recommend Mydayis for treating ADHD."

For ADHD "Prescribed 20 mg x 2. Been on it for 2 months now, and I'm weighing the pros and cons. I fell back to ONE 20 mg per morning. 2 20 mg was too much. Granted, it helps with focus, memory, and makes me a bit outgoing. But at the price of loss of appetite, weak erection, dry mouth, headaches, weakness and muscle cramps, sweating, and a few other nagging issues. It's not the first time for me on this med or groups. They really are convenient for some of my issues, but at a cost. Not so sure if I want my focus and thought process restored at the cost it brings me in the other areas."

For ADHD "I recently was diagnosed with ADHD and was started on 20 mg. The first day I took it, I felt great! I was energized and motivated. I did have trouble sleeping, but that ended after the first week. I will warn you about the side effects because those hit me pretty hard. I had headaches daily, a fast heart rate, dizziness, and blurry vision. That lasted about 2 weeks and eventually passed, although I still had the fast heart rate. It decreased my appetite because I was no longer snacking and was getting full a lot faster. After about 3 weeks, I noticed that the 'good feeling' was gone and I felt a crash throughout the day like I had no energy. My doctor just prescribed me 30 mg, and I'm on day 3."

For ADHD "This review is for generic Adderall XR - amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. I've experienced wildly different effects from different manufacturers. Some days it didn't work. Some days it worked great. But I got severe, debilitating headaches that lasted 24/7 and didn't go away using ibuprofen. Went to a neurologist and got an MRI. If I could push past the side effects, it did work well, but for only about 4-5 hours after kicking in (which took about an hour). Needed a booster of IR in the afternoon, so eventually I couldn't deal with the headaches and switched to IR completely. Headaches gone almost immediately. I still get them with IR, but not anywhere near as often or as bad."

For ADHD "I just started the generic this week. I'm having a horrible time. I feel more motivated to get up and do things and feel more talkative, but I'm having horrible headaches, dizziness, dry mouth, and very sick to my stomach. Still deciding if it's worth hanging in there to see if the side effects subside as I get used to the medicine."

For ADHD "I was just prescribed amphetamine/dextroamphetamine R 351 20 mg for ADD. The first day I took it at 11 am yesterday, I felt extremely tense and uncomfortable, the exact opposite of what I thought it was going to be. Then, at about 12 am, I had a very bad headache, couldn't go to sleep until 4 am, woke up, and took half and just felt out of it all day. No energy, no increased focus. I was just wondering if anyone else is on the same drug??? Because all pictures of this drug online look orange and pink and blue, which is kind of strange because I got it from a clinic, not a regular doctor's office. I don't even know if I want to take it tomorrow because of the negative side effects, feeling kind of hopeless at this point. Hopefully, someone has some info."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "First drug I started taking for ADD a month ago. Took the 20 mg, and it felt too intense and had a ton of side effects, but after 3-5 days, it was tolerable but still suffered from really bad headaches and dry mouth all day. Two weeks later, the headaches finally stopped, but dry mouth was horrible, I must have drank a gallon of water or more a day and had to have candy or gum all the time. But I could tell I was a little more productive at work. At night, I would catch myself daydreaming worse than before and wondered if I was worse without it. I felt it basically replaced my coffee and then some, but the dry mouth wasn't worth it. I am now going to start taking Wellbutrin since I am a little depressed too, and that drug is supposed to help with both."

For ADHD "I just started taking Adderall again after ten years without. I didn't realize there was a generic, the first one I tried was totally like Ritalin, which doesn't work for me at all. The next was the pink capsule Elite brand, these seem to work fairly well. I think what bothers me the most is the grass is always greener. Kind of stupid, really, but there seem to be so many side effects associated with these generics. I'm doing okay with the Elite Adderall, but still want to try American. Teva seems to not exist, and I do kind of get a headache, but oh well, the med works, and until I find a way to get put on the brand, these or the Amerigen will work. We know ADHD can be crippling, especially once you've experienced life on meds and the relief it brings."

For ADHD "I'm 40, and have been on every milligram of Adderall and onset level. They can and will dehydrate you, cause headaches, anxiety, and irritability. BECAUSE YOU'RE OVERDOING OR MISUSING IT! Why are you surprised? Your doctor hopefully warned you about the side effects, so did the pharmacy as they stapled that huge pamphlet of documents on that little white bag, describing and warning you. Amphetamines are strong. So use them right, because they are very beneficial for us that truly need them."
