For ADHD "ALVOGEN INC has got me all messed up. I've taken ADHD meds since 1st grade, and I'm 32 now, so I'm very confident in my ability to distinguish between generics that work and don't and why. For the past 4 years, I've used the same CVS location to fill my Adderall tab, 30 mg generic. The past two times, though, I received a pill that looked different. Thinking, okay, whatever, this happens from time to time, it is just a different manufacturer, no big deal. I was wrong. I have had insanely high blood pressure increases, trouble sleeping, hardly any focus, SEVERE anxiety, like where I feel like I can't breathe suddenly, especially when I try to sleep, shaky hands, VERY noticeable heart palpitations, diarrhea, headaches, and weird emotional ups and downs. I've been vegan for 3 months now. At first, I was seeing a steady decrease in blood pressure, but as soon as I started taking this new generic, I'm topping out at 161/111 at the doctor a few days ago, which is just absolutely bonkers and terrifying."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "I was recently diagnosed with narcolepsy in early 2019. I was started on Adderall, but it took about 6 months to get the regimen that worked for me. I was quite sick at the stomach for about 3 months with nausea and headaches. I take 30 mg at 9 a.m. and 10 mg at 1 p.m. Finally, it's working well to a certain degree. I still need at least two naps during the day and have most of my energy in the morning and early afternoon. Come 7-8 p.m., I'm literally exhausted. I realized how well the medication worked after I missed a dose. I wondered why I was yawning all day and barely able to stay awake. It was because I had forgotten to take my Adderall. Despite how well it works, I still seem to yawn almost constantly. I would not be able to get through the day without it. It's not a 100 percent fix, but I can function for most of the day using it. So, that's a plus for me."

For ADHD "For years, I have been on generic Adderall IR (30 mg a day) for ADHD, and it has worked wonders with little to no side effects. That is until recently, when I picked up my latest prescription and noticed I was having terrible side effects after taking it (nausea, headache, ZERO focus). Turns out it’s because it was a different manufacturer called “Lannett,” and it is awful. I must be allergic to the fillers in it or something, but it is TERRIBLE, imo. Teva is the manufacturer I normally get and has always worked great for me, I guess due to the fact that it is allegedly the same as the name brand Adderall. Until Teva is back in stock, I will have to do without Adderall. Anyone else having issues with Lannett, please fill out a complaint form. Just Google FDA MedWatch. It’s ridiculous just how subpar generic Adderall can be."

For ADHD "I have been on Adderall for several years, and the Sandoz brand is toxic and horrible! At first, it is like a sugar pill-no effect-and then dizziness, headache, feeling more confused, spaced out and mind blank, extreme fatigue. I can't believe this is on the market. The FDA honestly needs to step up their game and monitor the generics. It is an up-and-down roller coaster with different manufacturers each month. This is insane. They are robbing us blind in the pharmaceutical business. They give us something toxic or a placebo. What is happening to the medications now? Please do not take the Sandoz. Read the court documents about reviews on them, and they came from the company, making themselves sound great as a pretend customer! I cannot believe how bad this medication from this manufacturer is."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was prescribed 50 mg. 1st day I could literally feel the release of the medication. During the lag of the release, I would get headaches, become tired, irritable, and frustrated with every situation and conversation. By evening time, I couldn't carry a conversation without forgetting prior known facts. Saturday, I was completely not myself. On top of how I felt Friday, I was emotional, had down thoughts, I couldn't follow a timeline: I was late for everything. Sunday seemed to be better but not by much. Monday... horrible, it was like I added Friday and Saturday symptoms together, then add in horrible chest pain, shortness of breath, constant feeling of about to faint, fever, flu symptoms, hot/cold, exhausted but not able to sleep, & more symptoms. I refuse to take another dose."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I'm a complicated case. I am on the Autism Spectrum, have ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Chronic Migraines, plus Epilepsy. I was on Concerta, but it lost its efficacy after 20 years. My psychiatrist and I agreed it was time to try a stimulant, and Adderall would be the best choice. It was literally a downer at 30 mg and 20 mg, as all I did was sleep and want more sleep. But what made things complicated was that with a couple of my meds, it increased its serum levels. So, hey! I'm getting flooded with neurotransmitters I don't need! I went to 10 mg, and it was wonderful. Only minor side effects that disappeared in a day. Except... I was left with constant headaches that I could not tolerate with the migraines. So the next step is Vyvanse and adding a little 'bump' with 5 mg of Dexedrine so I won't have to wait so long for it to become active. I think I will be stable psychiatrically, as I currently am with my medication. If anything were to happen, they could just be adjusted. Looking forward to this!"

For Fatigue "I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about a year ago, but the onset of symptoms began years ago (in particular, the chronic fatigue). Before I even saw a doctor, the fatigue got so bad that all I was doing was working and sleeping. But it must have been a year and a half ago that the most intense fatigue I’d ever experienced began. When it hits me, it’s hard to keep my vision from blurring or doubling. The exhaustion is so bad it’s actually painful! And it began happening more and more. Just about 3 or 4 months ago, the doctor prescribed me this medication. First a very low dose, but then higher until it was right. I only take it if I get the painful fatigue that causes blurred vision and if I am working. I don’t like the after-effect (anxiety, irritability, headache), but it definitely helps me get through those episodes of intense fatigue!"

For ADHD "The Camber brand amphetamine/dextroamphetamine does not work like Adderall. Something is wrong with this medication. I have taken Teva brand for almost 6 years with no problems and was recently switched due to a shortage. This medication has given me awful headaches with nausea. Just a warning to all who encounter this situation as I did."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was diagnosed with ADHD 6 years ago by my family physician. She put me on Effexor, which seemed to help at first, but over the next year, the side effects were not worth the results. Another doctor recently prescribed Adderall, and when that worked well, he gave Adderall XR. I am so much more centered, can concentrate, and my quality of life is so much better. I hate that it is thought of as a 'street drug,' and I hate that the price is so high. The generic did nothing for me except to make me agitated/jittery for a few hours, then crashed and had a headache."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I started taking Adderall XR 12 days ago, and I love it. I immediately started focusing better. I now feel great when I wake up knowing that I will be able to get things done that have been put off for so long. My memory and self-esteem have improved dramatically. The only side effects I am experiencing are dry mouth and mild headaches."

For ADHD "First time taking Alvogen generic amphetamine with dextroamphetamine 30 mg. Been taking Adderall for 2 years but always Teva generic. Oh my God, the Alvogen brand has made me feel so sick. All over severe headache, nauseous, vomiting, diarrhea. I feel awful. No focus, no energy, can't keep anything down, running to the bathroom."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I take the extended release once a day. I recently got a dose increase for my extreme fatigue. It has been about 3 weeks, and I do not like the symptoms that occur with it. I feel like a zombie, I don't enjoy talking when I am on my medicine. I get extremely bad, frequent headaches, I am even more tired when it wears off, but I am unable to sleep. I get really irritable and moody. With the lower dose, the main problematic symptom I would have was the dry mouth, but that was manageable."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall XR has changed my life! For years, I have struggled with depression and anxiety, no motivation, mood swings, and couldn't focus on any task. I was diagnosed with ADD/Bipolar when I was 19-20ish (26 now and mom of 1). I have struggled through so many years not knowing after several doctors and tons of medicines or medication combinations. I was put on Vyvanse from 30-50mg over a period of 2 years. It worked well for me. In the beginning, I had dry mouth and palpitations. My coverage stopped paying for it. The doctor tried me on Strattera and Concerta (not together). After several months, I was just still always sick, with stomach cramps, headaches, etc. About 3 years now I've been on Adderall XR 30mg, and I still have dry mouth and loss of appetite. Other than that, it has helped me to be a 'normal' person and a loving, motivated mother."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I've been on Adderall since I was in high school, so about 5 years. It works well for my concentration and allows me to focus for an extended period of time, such as when studying. This medicine has definitely helped me, but it has a lot of side effects. For me, loss of appetite, euphoria, and dry mouth are the most common. Headaches are frequent, but nothing ibuprofen can't fix. I've been on and off antidepressants that affected the Adderall. When I was on Lexapro, taking Adderall would make me irritable, anxious, and paranoid, sometimes to a full-blown panic attack. Now I'm on Prozac, and the Adderall combination is fine. But I still get anxious and mildly irritable when the 'high' of the Adderall decreases."

For ADHD "I’ve been taking Adderall for 15 years, and it has done miracles for me. Yes, some side effects, but it pulled me out of a major depression. Last month, I started feeling off and getting worse every day. Was so depressed I thought of a million different things that may be causing it. To no avail, I’m still suffering, and I think I finally know why. I read a review that said the generic Lennox has had a formula change. Well, I can definitely attest to that. It feels like the last 2 months were miserable, with headache, depression, major panic, and zero focus. I got to the point where I saw no end and my quality of life. The new Lennox Adderall does nothing. I can take a larger dose and feel nothing. With the old formula, I took two 20 mg as prescribed, and my life was well on track, and I felt normal. As it is, I can’t stop terrible mood swings and no energy. I know this is the problem because I found an old pill, took it, and bang, snapped out of my funk."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I had been taking Adderall (generic) for approximately five years but recently switched to dextroamphetamine because it was getting so hard to get Adderall due to (as the pharmacy said) 'a manufacturer backorder.' But talk about serendipity; the dextroamphetamine makes me clench my jaw a lot less than the amphetamine salts, and as I begin to lose focus at the end of the day, I don't get a headache to boot. So overall, I have to say the dextroamphetamine is significantly better than Adderall on several levels."

For Fatigue "30 mg N Amphet Salts. Unsure of the manufacturer. All I know is it is giving me headaches, nausea, and major constipation. I highly recommend a probiotic and definitely not a cheap one. I've been taking regular Adderall for many years, or at least I thought. The big pharmacy I go to in Southeast Michigan always gives me the name brand regardless of if I was using my primary or secondary insurance plan, yet at other stores there are these off brands and amphetamine salts. Part of me wants to turn a blind eye and the other wants to find out why some people have real and others generic."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I suffer from ADD. I take 30 mg twice a day. It works very well for me, however, sometimes I get wicked headaches in my frontal/temple areas, which I am sure is a side effect of the Adderall. I am going to see my doctor in a week and talk this over with him. I also notice that sometimes I feel really sleepy after I take a dose."

For ADHD "Been on Adderall (Teva) for a year, and the local pharmacy switched to this brand, and it is complete garbage. Don't do anything except give you a headache. Sick of the rubbish pills that cost hundreds of dollars to do nothing. Now to find out how to report this company."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I take 5 milligrams as needed for school. I take it right before school, maybe around 6 am, school starts around 7 am. I've noticed extreme dizziness, I get hot so easily, even more anxious, so much more depressed, so tired, terrible headaches, and excessive talking. I wake up in the morning to bump into every possible wall, my vision is completely blacked out. I can't walk for more than a mile without feeling faint. I eat well and drink lots of water (due to a horrible experience with Vyvanse, in which I lost 20 lbs). Not only that, but falling asleep is killer. I've never taken such a small dose and have such poor results."

For ADHD "Lanette, manufacturer of amphetamine with dextroamphetamine, is no good. I was switched to it without my knowledge from Mallinckrodt to Lanette. I immediately knew something was wrong with me. I had a headache and felt like I was about to have a stroke on this medication from Lanette. How does the FDA approve this medication? I am sorry, but the real world can detect a problem from manufacturer to manufacturer. Prasco, Mallinckrodt, and Lanette work differently in my body. Walgreens needs to let the person know when they are switching manufacturers. It ended up that the insurance wouldn’t cover me when I surrendered the Lanette brand to my doctor."

"I have idiopathic hypersomnolence, so I take 30 mg ER Adderall (generic). It took me a little while to realize what was wrong with me because I was back to sleeping all the time and couldn’t concentrate, which I don't like!!! Now I believe the problem to be the new Lannett generic of Adderall. It does not work!! They don’t even look the same as the generic Adderall I was getting before, they’re pink and the old ones were tan, and they worked. The medication inside the two capsules, of the old generic and Lannett's generic, aren’t even close, it looks substandard. Someone needs to tell these people not to bother if you're just going to give us massive headaches. It puts me in danger! The pharmacist and others argue with you and say it’s the same, but when you take it and put it in your body, you can tell the difference! Is there any help out there!!!! Thanks"

For ADHD "I've always taken Teva brand of Adderall, but there's another shortage going on, so I was forced to get this Alvogen brand, which sucks because it does nothing. I don't even know why this brand is controlled or even called a generic form of Adderall because it is not effective. I've taken Adderall for over 20 years, and before I fill it where it's in stock, I'll get it filled online from a Teva provider. I'd rather go without for days than have this rubbish for an entire month because I can't take it. It hurts my head and stomach, and that's ALL it does!"

For ADHD "Lannett sucks. I have constant headaches and don't even feel like I've taken my medicine. I'm so upset that my pharmacy only had this generic on hand instead of my usual brand by TEVA. A waste of money, and I'm not as focused or productive as I usually am. I'm so scattered-brained on this brand that I fear I'm forgetting to do what's necessary while at work. Add to it the constant headaches, makes this the worst generic Adderall I've ever taken. My pharmacist even offered to special order my usual brand instead of filling my RX with this useless product."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was on Vyvanse 50 mg for bulimia, it stopped the binge eating. However, I could never fall asleep, not even with a sleeping pill, and I always felt so very depressed in the late afternoon. My doctor told me about Mydayis. I switched to Mydayis 25 mg, which works even better!!! I get a good night's sleep without a sleeping pill. The only side effect is dry mouth and an occasional headache if I wait too late to take it. It's always best to take it early in the morning. I take mine at 6 am. I still have remained free from any binge eating episodes. Thankful for this medication!"
