Acetaminophen / oxycodone "Today was my first dose around noon, then the second dose around 5:30 pm. I have to confess, I was a bit nervous about taking this med. I get panic attacks when trying new meds, especially because I could not find any patient reviews anywhere on the internet - I guess I am the first. Also, the large size and bright blue color did intimidate me. I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia, herniated discs in my neck and back, and now battling kidney stones. So far, I have had no pain today and also have more energy than I have had in the last 6 months. Before, I was on Percocet 10mg and Mscontin 15mg, but I had to change my PM doc, and she took my meds away and gave me Xartemis instead. If the rest of my days go as this one, I think I will stay on this medication."

"I refilled my pain medication prescription, and it is not effective. The pills looked different, so I called the pharmacist, who informed me the manufacturer has changed in the last week or so, and now they have the Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals brand. I took one and waited an hour and a half, it did not work. Then I took another. I am still in considerable pain and unable to sleep. My medication is usually effective. It is a strong dose, and I do not want to increase the amount nor the dosage. They told me the manufacturer was changed by Walgreens, and they have no control over who they purchase from. The staff is wonderful, there are no issues with the staff. As a consumer, I am notifying you that the new supplier product is not effective. I appreciate your help. I have been a loyal Walgreens customer and would hope to have issues resolved other than changing pharmacies. My medication is the Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Oxycodone 10/325. The pill is white and has writing on one side, 10/325, and on the other, M523. The pills I took previously from Walgreens were an off-white yellowish."

Acetaminophen / oxycodone "I have Fibromyalgia and I have taken Oxycodone for when I am having a bad day and my Fibromyalgia flares up. It helps me have a better life. I can get up and move. This medication takes the edge off for me. It does not take all the pain away, which is okay because I just want to be able to function rather than staying in bed or on the couch all day, unable to get up due to the pain."

Acetaminophen / oxycodone "I'm 51 years old and have been dealing with chronic pain for the last 20 years. I was put on MS Contin 60mg three times a day, it's long-lasting, but pain still comes through. The doctor added 10/325 Percocet for breakthrough pain. It made my life livable. I give it a 10."

Acetaminophen / oxycodone "According to my pain doctor, companies have a 20% allowable variance in the active ingredient. That is horrible! So they put me on a brand of oxycodone/acetaminophen called Primlev 10/300, and it has been amazing! It actually works. I have tried all the other manufacturers, and this one blows them all away."

"I’ve never looked up a medication before, but I have chronic arthritis of the spine, and it’s only getting worse. I didn’t look at my medication, I just assumed it was the same as usual. I always take a half dose in the morning and half a dose approximately every three to four hours throughout the day. I only need 25-30 mg a day to get me through my day. Well, today something was off. I started feeling so much pain, I had stomach cramps, and my spine and shoulders could barely move. I couldn’t believe I was taking another half a dose within another hour and a half. Then I felt nauseated. I took the bottle and looked at the pills and saw they were not the same. I am a half a dose away from my full daily dose and feel no effects from this medication. I just took an entire pill, something I haven’t done since my spine surgery 5 years ago. I can barely move, and my legs are starting to ache. I thought they gave me placebos, so I looked them up. I will no longer get my prescriptions at CVS."

Acetaminophen / oxycodone "I have had 3 back surgeries by the time I was 25 years old. I have degenerative disc condition and on top of that, I was involved in an accident at work which resulted in a herniated disc. I went through a discectomy, a spinal fusion, and a correction surgery. Needless to say, I have A LOT of hardware in my back! Percocet was wonderful. It made my recovery bearable and living a somewhat normal life. Unfortunately, I'd been on it for 3 years and then my doctor cut me off cold turkey and told me to take Tylenol extra strength. The withdrawals are awful and I'm still living in awful pain, but I had 3 years with mild to no pain with Percocet!"

Acetaminophen / oxycodone "After breaking my back and being rated disabled because of the permanent nerve damage and constant pain, this is the only prescription that helps me lead as close to a normal life as possible. I have tried several other options, and none have been effective. I was told to get in the best shape of my life and stay like that, so I am, but that just keeps me at a certain level of comfort. I hate being stereotyped into a group of users, I am not a user. When I have gone several weeks without it, day-to-day tasks are incredibly difficult. Being a college student, having my prescription is the only way I can sit and study. It allows me to put the pain in the back of everything and concentrate on studying. I do make sure I am not addicted."

"I’ve been a long-time user of Percocet for neck, thoracic, and limb pain. In addition, I’ve had 4 surgeries on my left knee and reconstruction of my right. Initially, I was prescribed Mallink 5/325 Percocet for pain, which worked well. My provider recently changed manufacturers of Percocet, which doesn’t appear to be as effective. My question is, what gives? Is it less opiate or the process of manufacturing?"

"I initially started with Watson brand, then my pharmacy changed to Mallinkrodt generic. After both of those companies went by the wayside, they started carrying only Rhodes. The Watson brand worked very well. The Mallinkrodt brand, while not as good as the Watson, was still quite good at reducing pain. The Rhodes brand I have been on for the last year and a half has left me feeling really draggy and almost like moving in quicksand a lot of the time, and its effect on pain is substantially less than any of the other generics of this medication I have taken. If you can get another generic brand or the actual brand, you would be way better off."

"When I was 28, I was in Iraq (2010) as a gunner for our Sgt Major and Colonel. We were on a mission, and 3 IEDs (improvised explosive devices) went off and flipped our truck. My strap broke when I was in the gunner's hatch, but long story short, I broke my back and my right leg. I was given the MBlock 15mg pills, and it worked, but I switched doctors and they prescribed me the RP 10/325. I am a strong person and can take a lot of pain, but when it gets unbearable, I do expect the medicine to work. So I understand what all of you are going through when you take the RP 10/325 and it doesn’t work. I will pray for everyone that’s having any kind of pain, and trust me, things will get better. We can’t expect them to understand our pain when they don’t have to go through it. Try the 15mg MBlock or the RP 20."

"Same experience as others filling Percocet at Walgreens. Sick like a dog and didn’t take care of my chronic pain. Had to switch to Alvogen brand and I’m on the third month of severe diarrhea. I’ve been worried to death that I have cancer or something. I am convinced that this started when I was switched to an inferior brand. I suspect that the CDC has forced pharmacies to supply us with a drug that will cause us in time to not want to take it anymore. Please! Fix this injustice to legitimate pain patients. This is truly torture, and someone needs to investigate please. Both pharmacies in my small town are in on this effort to curb our use. On a good note, the CDC and doctors now can’t just drop a patient cold turkey or drop the dose too much at a time. It’s considered inhumane. Now, what about us, please give us back our correct medication strength."

I take 1, and 15 to 20 minutes later, it kicks in and the pain is gone for a while (about 5 hours)."

Acetaminophen / oxycodone "After being on for 10 years or more, I find now even my pain management doctor has to cut my meds thanks to the new FDA guidelines. The FDA is so worried about overdose on opioids because other people have abused them but have forgotten about those who do need pain meds. I've heard it all in the last three months from my doctor. I even had to change 3 of my other medications because I can't be on them if I am taking pain meds. To me, ever since that most states made marijuana legal, the FDA has turned to people taking pain meds. Guess they can't control the other illegal stuff out there so they try and put the focus on pain meds, even though the FDA says that we would not take pain meds away from those who need it. Guess what, FDA, you have!!! Get your facts, FDA."

"Ok, here’s the real deal - The FDA allows up to a 20% variance between the Brand vs. Generic medicine, as far as the absorption rate. Totally ridiculous! The FDA should only allow up to a 2% variance. The active ingredients have to be 100% the exact same. However, the inactive ingredients do not. Think about it - The company manufacturing the Brand medicine has the inactive ingredients in the compound for a reason (maybe the inactive ingredients are directly affecting the absorption of the active ingredient/medicine). Furthermore, once the company manufacturing the first generic loses its right to be the only one making the generic, additional manufacturers that make this generic only have to compare its generic version to the first generic. Therefore, the 2nd, 3rd, etc., generic version to come out can be up to 20% less than the first generic. Therefore, you could be getting a generic that’s only 60% of what the Brand medicine is, as far as the rate of absorption."

Acetaminophen / oxycodone "I have had migraines for over 25 years, as well as fibromyalgia. I take Percocet 5-325, which has been the only thing that keeps me a person, not just hiding in my room from the pain. However, I have started to notice that I have needed to take 2 pills every 4-6 hours instead of just one. But this pill has been a lifesaver."

"RP10/325 white oxycodone, made by Rhodes Pharm., is highly ineffective for the treatment of pain, this medication should be removed off the market. It causes stomach problems, irritability, and sleepiness. It really has only added to and aggravated my pain rather than helping to manage it. I don't know if it is the hydrochloride or what, but this is the worst pain medication ever, and I will be taking mostly Motrin this month and avoiding being active in an effort to manage my pain until my pharmacy gets me my more regular brand of prescribed pain medications and will only take one of these horrible ineffective pills at bedtime to ensure I don't suffer from opioid withdrawals so that I can go to work. This is all that this medication is good for, is simply to ensure that you don't get withdrawal symptoms until next month when I can get a decent brand of medication again."

"My regular white oblong oxycodone 10/325 helped me go back to work and be able to get up in the morning without assistance, still a lot of pain but my med made it tolerable. This month Walgreens gave me a round yellow pill, I called and asked, they said it’s the same but a different brand. It is NOT the same. These are in no way helping like my regular AT ALL. Now I know why I’ve been nauseated, headaches, and lots more pain. This is awful. I will change pharmacies before I take these again, now I have 3 more weeks with these. How awful this is!!! It’s NOT the drug, it’s the MANUFACTURE Alvogon. I’m in so much pain after taking these, like I took some Aleve or something."

"CAMBER distributors are made out of the US, and local pharmacies are using them - they are equivalent to a sugar pill. I cannot even believe my pharmacy switched to them. I am not accepting foreign knockoff medication. I am not even sure if there is any oxycodone in this at all!"

"I've used Actavis, Anmeal, Mallinckrodt, Camber. The best has been Actavis (used to be Watson). Mallinckrodt is a close #2, but both of these actually provide relief for me. Stay away from Anmeal and Camber (garbage). The pharmacy stopped carrying Actavis and only carries Camber now. After 2 months of little to no relief, I requested that they order Mallinckrodt as they won't order Actavis anymore but will order Mallinckrodt. If you're a long-term customer, they will do it for you. As others have said, if you leave the store with a useless brand, you're stuck for 30 days. The FDA and media always overreact and intimidate docs. Your doc doesn't want to have to explain why he or she wrote you 2 different scripts. If W refuses to order something different, you need to tell your doc that you will be using a different pharmacy moving forward. Docs don't care where you buy the RX, they just don't want you to be pharmacy shopping. Always be honest with your doc about this kind of stuff, they know about the bad generics and will be merciful with you if you're honest with them."

Acetaminophen / oxycodone "I fell on ice in 2009 and ended up with a ruptured disc in my lower back. I also suffer from a variety of back problems, stenosis, bone spurs, and facet disease, to name a few. The Percocets 7.5/325 are a big help in managing my pain. If I did not have them, I absolutely would not be able to function, let alone be able to go to work. It does take the edge off my pain. I have to take the Percocets along with muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory medicine to get through my days (and nights), but I have to do what I have to do to manage the pain."

I've been on 3-5 a day of Percocet 10/325 for a few years now, it's a lifesaver. It allows me to have a better quality of life! Sometimes I have to have breakthrough meds when the pain gets above a 9. But the Percocets really do work well. I've tried Vicodin, methadone, and Dilaudid, none worked as well as the Percocets!"

"I have been taking generic Percocet for years off and on for chronic pain. I did have Camber brand acetaminophen with oxycodone before and had constant sweating. I now have finished 60 over 4 months of Mallinckrodt and had constant stomach pain and nausea when taken. The pain medication has a shorter effect to keep the pain away. What is in this Mallinckrodt brand of acetaminophen with oxycodone? I cannot take it anymore. I have mentioned this to my doctor and the pharmacist to no avail."
