For Birth Control: Thankfully everyone else on here has been recently sharing a same experience as I have with Tri Femynor. I was on June fe before and everything was fine, but then my doctor switched me to Tri Femynor to help with acne and my acne has never been worse in my life. Been on the pill for 8 months now and I break out nearly every day. I also follow a strict diet and eat very clean because of my type 1 diabetes, but I randomly gained 15 pounds over the past couple months as well. I am definitely switching back to a lighter pill. |

For Birth Control: I had my Kyleena inserted in June 2019 (previously on oral birth control) and it did NOT feel good. The insertion was quite painful, definitely worse than any period cramps I've ever had, but I only had cramps for the rest of the afternoon and evening that day and have felt nothing since! My periods stopped completely (so far) and I'm not pregnant, so those are perks! My acne has flared terribly, though. I'm 28 and experiencing hormonal acne around my jaw area that I can't get rid of. I'm also pretty sure that I am having a hard time losing weight because of the IUD. I have been working out at least 5 days a week (training for a half-marathon) and eating very clean/healthy for two months consistently and have not managed to lose any weight. I'm now down a wormhole reading these forums and debating getting it removed! For Birth Control: Got kyleena inserted end of October 2019, the insertion wasn't too bad some cramping but nothing major. I bled for a month straight after. I'm now coming up on my 3rd month, have some occasional spotting and I get my period every month lasting about a week. So far I've only had some cramping, bloating, and nausea when it is coming to that time of the month. But that's normal for me. I did have hormonal acne before the IUD, it hasn't made it any worse. I do suggest thou for anybody who is breaking out on the IUD or have hormonal acne in general I have been taking some supplements that have cleared my skin 90% 1) Alani Nu Balance 2) Zinc 3) B5 4) Probiotic 5) Ashwandgha (helps w/ stress & depression) 6) Iron (if you have anemia or heavy periods) hope this helps |

For Birth Control: I started on trinessa in high school and had never had acne before, that is when I developed some break outs occasionally. About a year ago I was switched to Tri femynor (thanks to my insurance dropping trinessa) and I have slowly developed feelings of anxiety/depression. I handle stress so much worse than ever before and my acne has sky rocketed. In the last 3 months it has been unbearable. Everyone is different and I believe the dosage between trinessa and tribal femynor is the same (both norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) so I do not see why I would see this drastic changes. I have never had feelings of severe depression/anxiety before and I am definitely not easily worked up. Just wish I would have been able to talk to my doctor about it before the switch occurred or talk about other options. If your pharmacy is switching you out of the blue I would recommend sitting down with your doctor first so you feel most comfortable and informed about what is going into your body!
