For Birth Control "I've been taking it for a month now, no bad side effects like I've read on here. I’ve been slightly more emotional and cry easier and get occasional headaches, but it may just be my body adjusting. No nausea or anything, and I know there are some scary reviews, so I wanted to leave a neutral one!"

For Birth Control "I’m 28, 5’1, 115 lbs. CVS told me my usual oral contraceptive, Sprintec, had been discontinued. Pros: cleared my acne (purge for the first 2-3 months). Cons: gas, nausea, feeling hungry, but every dish seems to make me nauseous, so I rarely eat much, but always feel hungry. Sometimes I’d sweat in my sleep (never had that happen before the pill), irritability, mood swings, 2 periods a month. When I skipped a pill and took double the next day, I always end up arguing with a family member (not like me), depression. Honestly, after reading reviews and seeing how many side effects I have in common with other women, just confirms I need to get off this pill ASAP. I didn’t understand all these changes. I had severe acne, so I know what it’s like to want to try anything to clear your skin. If you happen to end up here looking for acne reviews, I’d try something different if it’s solely for the purpose of clearing your skin. Some days, while arguing, I felt crazy, shouting/crying."

For Birth Control "I switched to the Femynor birth control from Lo Estrin. It’s been a nightmare. I’ve bled for the entire month I’ve been on it. I stay bloated. My emotions are all over the place, and I always feel down and sleepy. I have no energy. I get severe hot flashes and start sweating like crazy. I called my doctor this morning to immediately get off it. I definitely can’t do this anymore."

For Birth Control "I started taking Femynor in July of 2019 because CVS switched me from Estarylla. It has been terrible. Not even before the end of my first pill pack, I had intermittent bleeding and what felt like menstrual cramps throughout the active pills. Then in August, I started my next pack after my period, and before the second week of active pills, I had intermittent bleeding AGAIN. By this point, I'm thinking something is seriously wrong because I never had this issue with Estarylla since 2015. I decided to take a leap of faith and continue the pill pack into September, and it does not get any better. Still bleeding right now as I am writing this review. I have had night sweats, stomach aches, extreme fatigue, lack of motivation, terrible mood swings, constant cramps, and headaches, to name a few. I reached out to my doctor, who told me that the intermittent bleeding was normal, but I had enough once I had the worst anxiety attack of my life. I'm done with Femynor."

For Birth Control "I really like Femynor birth control pill so far. I experienced pretty bad nausea for the first two days I took it, but that went away. I’ve been on it for almost 3 months and haven’t had any serious side effects. The first week of taking it, I was very emotional and cried at almost anything, but that went away. I also experienced some headaches, but that went away too. The second month I took it, I didn’t experience any side effects, except it is clearing my acne, which is awesome. Overall, I would recommend it, I haven’t had many problems, and it’s working well!"

For Birth Control "This drug ruined my life!!! I took Femynor from March to October of last year because I went to a free clinic, and they didn't prescribe me Lo Loestrin (I'd taken it before with no problems) because it was 'too expensive for the state!' I took the pills anyway because I got in a relationship. On Femynor, I lost emotional control and had unbelievable mood swings. Nausea and bloating. Migraines. But the worst was weight gain: I gained 35 pounds in less than 4 months! I'd just lost 70 pounds and gotten to my goal weight: all my hard work, sacrifice, blood, sweat, and tears was GONE! And I was even taking Vyvanse (for my BED/ADHD) - but now Vyvanse doesn't even work for me because my hormones are SHOT - they're so messed up that I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism!!! It's April of the next year, and no matter what I do, I cannot lose this weight!! I can't wear any of my clothes that I worked so hard to wear! I've been so sad and depressed for almost a year! My life was ruined because of this terrible drug! Do not take this!"

For Birth Control "A little background info before I start. My period was always heavy and painful. When I was about 15, it got to the point where I was hemorrhaging and passing out, so my doctor said it was best to go on a high dosage birth control. When I was 17, I found out I had rheumatoid arthritis. I still stayed on the same pill for several years because it worked. However, I am now 24, and long-term with the rheumatoid arthritis, birth control can make the bones and cartilage more mushy at a faster rate; with that being said, my doctor switched me to this because it was a lower dosage. I had a horrible experience. Constant headaches, nausea, mood swings like crazy, weight gain, and I completely lost my sex drive. I stopped it 3 months ago; everything has become normal except my sex drive has not gotten better since... hopefully, it will eventually. Make sure to do your research and read reviews before starting this birth control; from what I’ve seen, many women have had this, especially with the loss of sex drive."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control for over a year now! I would say I had a change in mood the first 4-5 months. Extremely anxious and I’d get nauseous! I haven’t had any problems since. It hasn’t made me gain weight, no acne, my cramps are very minimal when I get my period! I’d recommend this birth control if you can handle the side effects the first couple of months!"

For Birth Control "I started using this about a month ago, and I broke out in acne the worst I've ever had in my life, had the worst period I've had in years, and the mood swings have been unbearable. As for the period: before the pill, they usually last 6 days, but I am on day 8 as I write this, and my period started in the middle of my pill cycle. The blood clots have been ridiculous as well. It also made me gain about 7 lbs, I am a small person, so I don’t entirely mind, but this. Other things include terrible headaches and constant fatigue."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for a few months, and when I switched pharmacies, I was switched to Femynor. Literally, the day I started taking this pill, I've been feeling the side effects like crazy. I have the worst headaches, my appetite is weird, and I've been having mood swings. I've been feeling sad, then happy, and then I've also been feeling depressed. It's horrible and definitely not worth it. I will be calling my doctor immediately to get switched back to Sprintec."

For Birth Control "This was my first birth control, and I really did not notice any side effects up until recently, and I've been taking it for almost four years. No weight gain, and my acne cleared up a little bit, but I always broke out right before my period. I have always had depression and anxiety, but it only seemed to get worse the longer I was on this. I recently stopped because the mood swings and irritability were out of control. I always knew exactly what day my period was going to start, which was great, but day one cramps were the worst. I didn't mind this birth control and never got pregnant, so it really depends on the person."

For Birth Control "The reviews with “1” rating are accurate. I’ve been taking birth control for a few years now. Never had a problem before. I’ve been taking Femynor for now 2 months. I’ve had an irregular period since I was 14. I’ve been spotting nonstop since I’ve started this one. I feel hungry nonstop. My mood swings are ridiculous. I was noticing my emotions were intensifying. I felt depressed, and it’s not me. I'm a happy spirit. If you’re experiencing this, get off this pill! Get a lower dosage. I caused a lot of arguments between my significant other and me while on this."

For Birth Control "In the beginning, I had cystic acne on my forehead that lasted about a month and major mood swings that lasted probably 6 months. But now I’ve been on it for almost 2 years and haven’t noticed any negative side effects. It’s just part of my everyday routine in taking it, and it’s been fine! No breakouts, no cramps, and no nausea, but everyone’s body reacts differently!"

For Birth Control "I started Femynor back in college. Initially, I had painful cramps and nausea for numerous days. Eventually, these side effects cleared, and I continued with the medication for 5 years. For those 5 years, my acne had cleared, but I developed anxiety and suffered from dreadful cramps and mood swings during/leading up to my period. I am currently switching birth control pills, after a while, I started developing frequent hormonal acne, which I’ve rarely ever had growing up."

For Birth Control "I am 32 years old. My doctor started me on this pill for heavy spotting between periods. I was still having in-between bleeding but not as bad, so my dosage was upped. Since then, I have had no issues at all with heavy bleeding/spotting and have been taking this pill now for 8 months. The only side effects I’ve noticed are really bad mood swings prior to my period and weight gain. For irregular bleeding, though, this pill works really well to control it, but in a higher dose."

For Birth Control "I was on Mononessa for a very long time. It is no longer available in the United States, so Femynor was the medication that they changed me to. I’ve only been on it for one month, and I’ve had off all very emotional mood swings. The first two weeks, I was extremely irritable, and now that I’ve got my period, I feel like I could cry every day for no reason at all. This is not like my character at all, I am very even-keeled and extremely happy. After my period is finished, I will not be resuming this medication."

For Birth Control "I read other reviews on this when I got it and hoped I'd have a different experience. I felt extremely emotional for 2 weeks. Have never bled this much unless I'm postpartum after I give birth. Nothing but heavy clotting. I normally bleed 3 days on my period. Still bleeding at day 8 on this heavy. Causing headaches, fatigue, and I can't work like this. It's an awful birth control. My doc prescribed Sprintec, and this was the generic formula. My doc said keep taking it, but I stopped 3 days ago as I was only 2 weeks into the pills and couldn't continue."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 2 weeks now, and it has been a living nightmare. Mood swings, constant nausea, I broke out in benign hives, so much flatulence/intestine issues, it is so humiliating. Not even gonna touch the sex drive subject with a 10-foot pole at this point. I can't wait for my check-in with my doc, I hope she takes me off this pill..."

For Birth Control "I've been on Femynor about a month now, and I've noticed my acne has gotten a lot better, and I've gained about 5 pounds, and my periods are much lighter now, which I like. But the downside to this pill that I noticed about myself is I feel extremely irritable every day, and I'm usually not an angry person, but everything seems to bother me. I am extremely emotional and depressed over everything now, and I have no sex drive whatsoever. I'm probably going to get off this soon because I don't think I could handle the mood swings any longer, but the good thing was it cleared up my acne."

For Birth Control "So Femynor was the first and only birth control I’ve ever taken and have so for almost 4 years now. I suffered with depression before, but honestly think this medication made it a lot worse. I didn’t even realize until recently that I have had horrible mood swings and have been very irritable. My acne seems the same, I didn’t gain any weight, but honestly think it made me lose my appetite. Nausea occasionally, but nothing crazy. Despite this, the medication seems to be doing its job. I’m considering getting off it after this long and realizing that my mood swings could be associated with it."

For Birth Control "This stuff made me throw up every time I took a pill. I even took it at night to sleep through the nausea, and in the morning, I threw up every day. I used to take this in high school and knew about the nausea and expected it as I began this again. My fiancé and I were going to try and start a family, so I went off of it and started it again due to how crazy a time it is during COVID-19. I have no idea how I did not see the correlation between my cystic acne and Femynor. My skin had finally cleared up after struggling with cystic acne since my teen years. I started this, and from day 2, I have woken up to new cystic acne every morning. This stuff makes me so emotional and moody, causes cystic acne, and makes me so nauseous. I threw it out. The only good thing about it is I went up a cup size. Do not take this."

For Birth Control "I was on Femynor for 8 months. The first 3 weren’t that bad, it made me a bit more emotional/sensitive and nauseous. After that, I started to gain weight, around 10-15 lbs in 8 months, which I wasn’t used to and made mood swings/depression worse. Eventually, I didn’t feel like myself, I just felt like the dulled-down version, and I cried every day, sometimes about nothing or small inconveniences. 3 weeks off of it and I finally feel back to my old self, more energy, and haven’t cried once."

For Birth Control "I’m on the 2nd month of taking Femynor. I had nausea and headaches the first 4 days of taking it. I’d take it at 11 pm, but I’d wake up nauseous in the middle of the night. But it wasn’t bad to the point of throwing up. I will say I felt more affected emotionally. During the 3rd week, my emotions felt all over the place. I have a history of anxiety, and it did aggravate it. I cried for no reason, felt more anxious than usual, and some paranoia. This lasted about a week. During the last week of taking the sugar pills, I did not get a period. I only had very light spotting for 2 days. This is a big pro for me. No PMS or cramping at all. Yes, it was rough the first few weeks, but the side effects have worn off after the 1st month. This birth control is also inexpensive for me, I pay $8 monthly. Don’t let the reviews scare you, give it a try. It takes some time for your body to adjust. I hope it works for you, I will update at the end of month 2."
