For Birth Control "I’m on the 2nd month of taking Femynor. I had nausea and headaches the first 4 days of taking it. I’d take it at 11 pm, but I’d wake up nauseous in the middle of the night. But it wasn’t bad to the point of throwing up. I will say I felt more affected emotionally. During the 3rd week, my emotions felt all over the place. I have a history of anxiety, and it did aggravate it. I cried for no reason, felt more anxious than usual, and some paranoia. This lasted about a week. During the last week of taking the sugar pills, I did not get a period. I only had very light spotting for 2 days. This is a big pro for me. No PMS or cramping at all. Yes, it was rough the first few weeks, but the side effects have worn off after the 1st month. This birth control is also inexpensive for me, I pay $8 monthly. Don’t let the reviews scare you, give it a try. It takes some time for your body to adjust. I hope it works for you, I will update at the end of month 2."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking this Femynor birth control pill, I was nauseous every night, I had the worst cystic acne on my cheeks and chin, and my periods were super heavy and long. I’m now on the five-month mark of taking this pill, and I’ve lost 15 pounds, my skin is clear, and I don’t feel nauseous anymore. My periods are heavy the first two days, and after that, they are super light and only last five days. I also never have spotting between periods. The key is to stay patient when taking this pill! The side effects were awful at first, and I wanted to stop taking it, but I’m glad I pushed through because out of the many birth control pills I’ve taken, this has to be the best one."

For Birth Control "I've been using it for 6 months. Before I decided on this brand, I did research and read reviews. What I realized is that most BCs have the same negative reviews, and you'll never know how your body will react until you try it. I chose Femynor because of my acne. Month 1: Slight nausea (4 or 5 on a 10-point scale), no new acne except right before my period. Normal menstrual cycle, loss of appetite, decreased sweet craving. Month 2: Slight nausea, loss of appetite, decreased sweet craving, bloating, no acne breakouts, normal menstrual. Month 3: Slight nausea, bloating, loss of appetite, 3 whiteheads before my period. Weight loss from 3 months of decreased appetite. Months 4-6: No nausea, normal appetite, no acne at all, normal menstrual. So far, I am really happy with this birth control. I haven't had any major side effects, no weight gain, no anxiety, no depression, no mood changes, no irregular periods, no accidental pregnancies, and, best of all, NO ACNE!!!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking birth control for 4 years now and have never once had symptoms or any difficulties. I started with a new MD, and they switched me to Femynor. Just in the first week, I have experienced intense nausea and vomiting, weak stomach, hot flashes, shortness of breath, and a drastic change in my emotions. Would not recommend!!! After the first week, I had to stop because I was getting so dehydrated from all the vomiting."

For Birth Control "I've been taking it for a month now, no bad side effects like I've read on here. I’ve been slightly more emotional and cry easier and get occasional headaches, but it may just be my body adjusting. No nausea or anything, and I know there are some scary reviews, so I wanted to leave a neutral one!"

For Birth Control "I didn't even realize everything I was experiencing was caused by the Femynor pill until I made a doctor's appointment to discuss random changes in my body and remembered I started taking this pill 4 months ago. (Somewhere in between, I got mad at my boyfriend and broke up with him - not sure if it's related.) It took about a month or two for it to regulate my period, and it did a good job doing that. My period is now super short and the lightest it has ever been, BUT: I have terrible headaches, to the point of feeling weak and nauseous. I've been getting a pimple here and there, but I've never had acne in my life. I've also been super tired and lost all energy. And the worst part, crazy weight gain!!! I've always been very thin (used to try very hard to gain weight in my teenage years and early twenties), and suddenly my clothes don't fit and I'm visibly bigger, and that's with me making a conscious effort to eat less and count my calories. Also, absolutely no sex drive. Getting off of this ASAP!"

For Birth Control "I started my birth control journey when I was 17 at Planned Parenthood with the basic 1.0 mg/0.2 mg. Because I’m so forgetful and would often have to double dose on pills, I would become extremely nauseous and eventually I started to spot. It lasted for almost 4 months one time, so I went to the doctor and she recommended that I switch to a lower dosage (Femynor 0.25 mg/0.035 mg). It helped a lot! I lost weight (I was 127 and went down to 115), I no longer spotted, and I rarely ever feel nauseous anymore."

For Birth Control "I went on this pill 2 weeks ago because my doctor said my other brand had been discontinued. I have been on birth control for 12 years, and the brands have been discontinued a few times. I was on Tri-Sprintec, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, TriNessa and never had any problems every time they changed the brand. After 2 weeks of taking this, I have felt completely sick to the point that I’m stopping the pill altogether. I have gotten TERRIBLE headaches every day for the last 5 days and then realized it’s from this pill! My boobs are so sore I can’t even move or put my bra on without wanting to cry from the pain. My face is completely covered in acne, and my face was perfectly clear before. I am nauseous and go from having no appetite to having ridiculous food cravings where I’ll eat everything in sight. Do NOT try this pill. I am literally miserable while writing this, I should have been given Tri-Femynor, not plain Femynor."

For Birth Control "I’m 28, 5’1, 115 lbs. CVS told me my usual oral contraceptive, Sprintec, had been discontinued. Pros: cleared my acne (purge for the first 2-3 months). Cons: gas, nausea, feeling hungry, but every dish seems to make me nauseous, so I rarely eat much, but always feel hungry. Sometimes I’d sweat in my sleep (never had that happen before the pill), irritability, mood swings, 2 periods a month. When I skipped a pill and took double the next day, I always end up arguing with a family member (not like me), depression. Honestly, after reading reviews and seeing how many side effects I have in common with other women, just confirms I need to get off this pill ASAP. I didn’t understand all these changes. I had severe acne, so I know what it’s like to want to try anything to clear your skin. If you happen to end up here looking for acne reviews, I’d try something different if it’s solely for the purpose of clearing your skin. Some days, while arguing, I felt crazy, shouting/crying."

For Birth Control "When I first started this birth control, I was throwing up every month that I started a new pack, it made me very nauseous the first few days, and my breasts did increase a cup size. It wasn’t until about 6 months after that the side effects stopped. I use it to prevent pregnancy, and it’s done its job (so far). I used to get acne every once in a while, but since I started it, I RARELY get acne. I didn’t gain any weight on this medication either."

For Birth Control "I started Femynor because I was experiencing an irregular period with lots of bleeding and clots for months at a time. My provider gave me this, and the bleeding stopped within 3-4 days. Haven’t had a period since. The only side effect I had was nausea, but after about a month and a half, it went away."

For Birth Control "I really like Femynor birth control pill so far. I experienced pretty bad nausea for the first two days I took it, but that went away. I’ve been on it for almost 3 months and haven’t had any serious side effects. The first week of taking it, I was very emotional and cried at almost anything, but that went away. I also experienced some headaches, but that went away too. The second month I took it, I didn’t experience any side effects, except it is clearing my acne, which is awesome. Overall, I would recommend it, I haven’t had many problems, and it’s working well!"

For Birth Control "I started this because I have been having horrible, unpredictable, long, awful, heavy periods. I have to say, day 2 on these and it finally stopped! I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. I'm surprised and low-key kinda freaked out about all of these negative reviews. I have been pretty happy, which isn't normal lol. I've been doing a popular low-carb diet, which already makes you feel kinda nauseous and have occasional diarrhea, so I'm not really sure if it's this or that. But, I just couldn't take those never-ending periods anymore!!"

For Birth Control "This drug ruined my life!!! I took Femynor from March to October of last year because I went to a free clinic, and they didn't prescribe me Lo Loestrin (I'd taken it before with no problems) because it was 'too expensive for the state!' I took the pills anyway because I got in a relationship. On Femynor, I lost emotional control and had unbelievable mood swings. Nausea and bloating. Migraines. But the worst was weight gain: I gained 35 pounds in less than 4 months! I'd just lost 70 pounds and gotten to my goal weight: all my hard work, sacrifice, blood, sweat, and tears was GONE! And I was even taking Vyvanse (for my BED/ADHD) - but now Vyvanse doesn't even work for me because my hormones are SHOT - they're so messed up that I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism!!! It's April of the next year, and no matter what I do, I cannot lose this weight!! I can't wear any of my clothes that I worked so hard to wear! I've been so sad and depressed for almost a year! My life was ruined because of this terrible drug! Do not take this!"

For Birth Control "Horrible....do not take. I just wanted birth control so my husband didn't have to use any other form of contraception. Doctor prescribed Femynor. Been taking it for 3 months, and I feel like garbage every day. Tired for no reason, irritated for no reason, and then cry the next minute, nausea. This medicine is unnatural, it shouldn't be in our bodies. Went to an endocrinologist, and the endocrinologist told me to stop taking this medicine, but my primary told me to continue. I will not."

For Birth Control "A little background info before I start. My period was always heavy and painful. When I was about 15, it got to the point where I was hemorrhaging and passing out, so my doctor said it was best to go on a high dosage birth control. When I was 17, I found out I had rheumatoid arthritis. I still stayed on the same pill for several years because it worked. However, I am now 24, and long-term with the rheumatoid arthritis, birth control can make the bones and cartilage more mushy at a faster rate; with that being said, my doctor switched me to this because it was a lower dosage. I had a horrible experience. Constant headaches, nausea, mood swings like crazy, weight gain, and I completely lost my sex drive. I stopped it 3 months ago; everything has become normal except my sex drive has not gotten better since... hopefully, it will eventually. Make sure to do your research and read reviews before starting this birth control; from what I’ve seen, many women have had this, especially with the loss of sex drive."

For Birth Control "I had been using Estarylla for months with little problem, but I started using Femynor recently because my pharmacy ran out of Estarylla. I'm barely a week into my supply, and my depression and anxiety have gotten dramatically worse. I had a severe panic attack and thought I was going to die, I also have no appetite and get nauseous if I try to force myself to eat."

For Birth Control "The first week I took this Femynor pill, I was nauseous, my jaw and face were sore with tension, my chest ached with the tightness of anxiety, and I began crying more. I'm old enough to know you have to give the symptoms time to work themselves out, so I continued taking it. I lasted 3 weeks on this pill before I called my doctor's office begging them to switch me. At that point, I was officially and actively fighting depression, my jaw and face still hurt, I had daily hormone headaches, I felt helplessness, and cried so much. I've switched to another pill and have been off this one about 3 days and already feel a little more emotionally and mentally stable, and my jaw no longer hurts. If you have any personal history with depression or anxiety, I would not, not, not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control for over a year now! I would say I had a change in mood the first 4-5 months. Extremely anxious and I’d get nauseous! I haven’t had any problems since. It hasn’t made me gain weight, no acne, my cramps are very minimal when I get my period! I’d recommend this birth control if you can handle the side effects the first couple of months!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 10 months now. It works great for regulating periods and clearing acne. My period usually lasts about 2-3 days, max 4 days. The only weird thing is that I get nauseous randomly. I would be very nauseous for 1-2 days, and it goes away. Sometimes it's so bad that I cannot smell food or eat anything. There were days I would only eat apples and oranges because that's all I wanted to eat. Other than that, it works well!"

For Birth Control "Femynor was my first ever birth control. I took it at 10:30 in the morning for about 3 weeks, and I didn’t like it at all. It made me nauseous and gave me really bad headaches. It also gave me lots of cravings. The pill started breaking me out around the 2-week point, and I’ve gotten about 10+ new pimples since then. I used to break out as I got closer to my period, but never this bad."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 2 months now, and I specifically asked my gyno for one she recommended that wouldn't make me nauseous because I usually get nauseous easily. Tbh, on Femynor, I have not been nauseous at all, my boobs for sure grew and always feel tender, and my period was a less flow but still lasted the same amount of time as I am used to. I believe the first 3 weeks it might have intensified my anxiety, but other than that, I feel normal, and my period was still regular, and it came on the day after taking the second sugar pill. I believe this birth control also has helped with my PMDD because I've realized I wasn't getting the emotional symptoms I usually get before getting my period. So this has been great so far!"

For Birth Control "I started this pill on my period (Saturday), and the whole week until next Saturday I experienced loss of appetite and nausea. Also, I ended my period but experienced some breakthrough bleeding for about 3-4 days, nothing too crazy, and now everything is normal. I got like 2 very small pimples on my forehead like the second week, but overall this has been a good experience for me. Still hoping I can gain a little bit of weight. Better than the depo shot!"

For Birth Control "I haven’t been on birth control for over 3 years, hadn’t gotten pregnant either. My period is every month, but I start spotting when I’m supposed to be on my “ovulation days.” The doctor prescribed me Femynor. I hesitated at first but decided to try one out for at least a month, since supposedly it helps and regulates and bla, bla, bla. So I took the first pill on my first period day, and all day I was constantly throwing up. I got waves of nausea throughout the day, and my appetite went down. I do not recommend these birth control pills. I stopped taking them!"

For Birth Control "In the beginning, I had cystic acne on my forehead that lasted about a month and major mood swings that lasted probably 6 months. But now I’ve been on it for almost 2 years and haven’t noticed any negative side effects. It’s just part of my everyday routine in taking it, and it’s been fine! No breakouts, no cramps, and no nausea, but everyone’s body reacts differently!"
