For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection: Have bursitis on left elbow didn't know if was infected or not so they have me keflex twice a day only side effect I had was it tore my belly up |

For Urinary Tract Infection: I was given this drug to treat my UTI. It felt like it started to work on the 3 day. Now on day 4 I start feeling urgency again. I am on a 7 day course. Do I have to wait for the medicine to finish before it starts working. I am so frustrated. For Urinary Tract Infection: I had a mild UTI with both mild pain on urination and frequent urination. I was prescribed a 7 day course of the prolonged release capsules of MacroBID Nitrofurantoin. I did not have any sickness nor the fatigue others have described and it seemed to clear up the infection 2-3 days after starting the course as the pain on urination stopped. However, I found that after day 3 the frequency of urination increased again and I had more prolonged general discomfort only being relieved on urination (no pain on urination however). This turned out to be the Nitrofurantoin causing localised irritation and the discomfort faded and disappeared within days of the course finishing. Having said that I do have sensitive skin in that region and have to avoid scented soaps etc. I am mentioning this in case there are others reacting the same and don’t realise it may now be the treatment and not the UTI causing the symptoms. I am now 3 weeks on from completing the course with no relapse. |

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection: Cephalexin got rid of infection but I had horrible side effects. I took it for 4 days, at a dose of 500mg, 4 times a day. I had horrible headaches, diarrhea, major depression, eyes dry and blood shot, nausea, very tired, didn't have motivation to do anything. Anxiety, joints were on fire! Stopped a day ago and still feel awful! Won't take again because of side effects.
