"I have MS and tried other meds for OAB that didn't help at all. I've been on Gemtesa for a year now and it's wonderful to walk past the incontinence products. I have cut the dose to every other day because my bladder isn't emptying fully but it's worth it to be able to sleep through the night!"

"I have been taking it for 4 days and it has worked wonders for me. Not experiencing any side effects but having crazy dreams at night. Don’t know if the medication is causing it or just a coincidence! Costing me $47.00 per month after insurance. It is well worth it to me. Hopefully will continue to be successful."

"Helps more than other medications I have been on. Was excited about Rex that would help. Made going out of the house better. Not having to search for a bathroom and anxiety about not finding a bathroom in time. BUT… I am on Medicare and no coverage for Gemtesa. Also going for pelvic floor therapy. I think every woman should do pelvic floor exercises."

"I've been on this medication for a couple of weeks. It has been working for me. I didn't like oxybutynin. Presently, I'm extremely comfortable taking it daily. I am scheduled to meet with my urologist this week for a follow-up."

"Usually reliable - lasts for approximately 7 hours - does NOT stop urinary leaking if alcohol has been consumed. Also I have experienced brain fog & short-term memory confusion & loss! Also caused severe dry eye. Still prefer to use this drug more than others in its class."

"I was on samples for about 2 months. Worked great. Originally on oxybutynin. Barely worked. I had results with Gemtesa from day 1. I’m thirsty as all get down. I’m constipated. Loved the medicine. Costs not so much. I have private insurance and it’s over $1700 for a 90-day supply. Tried Gemtesa’s coupon. It really wasn’t helpful for me because my insurance wouldn’t pay for it at all. The other option to get the price down to $90.00 a month also didn’t work for me because of the out-of-pocket price. That program works by giving you about $400 a month for the meds. My pharmacy was nearly $600.00 per month so it still would’ve been nearly $200.00 a month. The company gave me a 3rd option. It appears they appealed to the insurance company for approval and it failed also. I wish it were more obtainable. Now we’re looking into other options like Botox, sacral Neuromodulation. Good luck to all of you in finding success."

"I had been taking Flomax for several years. It continued to be effective but I started experiencing significant hypotension resulting in some falls. The doctor gave me a couple of trial boxes of Gemtesa. It took a few weeks, but with the Gemtesa my incontinence stopped, and I no longer suffered from sudden hypotension episodes. I have not had any adverse side effects."

"3 wks in and having fewer accidents. I had my first child 26 yrs ago and have had issues since when I laugh, cough, sneeze, move wrong, lift using lower abdominal muscles. I can say that the incidence has drastically decreased, at this time, I am not using as many pads or changing clothes often."

"I've been taking Gemtesa for three years, with great success. I no longer need to know where a toilet is for stopping every 15 minutes while driving. At first, in 2021, my UroGyn needed to write a letter to my insurance company for them to cover Gemtesa. Thankfully, insurance now covers it."

"Gemtesa has helped me considerably to ease my overactive bladder. I am now able to sleep better, only getting up 1 to 2 times a night where I was getting up 4-5 times before. The urgency to urinate has subsided also. Able to drive longer distances without having to stop. It considers this medication to be a life changer."

"I started taking Gemtesa after I mentioned to the PA that I was having urine leakage on occasion and that I hoped after my treatment for bladder cancer ended that this would stop. She provided me with a prescription for Gemtesa. I have been taking it for three weeks. I have less leakage and no longer wear a pad for protection. I have some comfort to know that eventually I will have control with help from Gemtesa 75mg. I will have to wait to see if this medication provides the help I need because of the short time I have been taking Gemtesa."

"I have had urge incontinence for many years. Other medications left me with an extremely dry mouth. So happy to have a medication taken once a day that has helped without any side effects. I would say that it has relieved my problem about 80-90%, which is more than I hoped for."

"Gemtesa has been life-changing for me. It works so much better than Myrbetriq. No side effects and no urgency. My gynecologist sends it to a specialty mail-order pharmacy, and I get it for FREE! What a blessing this is. However, sometimes they are slow to send it through the mail, and I cannot function well without this medication. My bladder is not happy without it."

"Went on Gemtesa after my doctor took me off Oxybutynin due to the blood-brain barrier issue and it causing dementia and confusion. Tried solifenacin, which didn't work for me at all. Gemtesa was great, was on it for 3 weeks with samples from the doc. Worked perfectly, no side effects at all for me. Unfortunately, with insurance and a coupon from the website, the cost is $95 a month, so this drug is out for me, and we'll see if I have better luck on a 4th option."

"Oxybutynin Chloride and similar gave me bad side effects and didn't really work anyway. Gemtesa has been a life-changer. First day I noticed an immediate positive result. Very happy with this as it means I can leave the house for longer periods of time. Don't really notice side effects. I perhaps 'sleep warmer' than before Gemtesa, but I sometimes 'slept too warm' at night anyway. Female, age 74."

"I've had overactive bladder following a TURP procedure to correct an oversized prostate gland. My urologist gave me some physician's samples that lasted for about a month. The results were excellent! I had more control over urination that saved many embarrassing moments. I notified the doctor (Jason Reynolds in Elizabethtown, KY) for a prescription. Bad news! Gemtesa isn't covered under my insurance plan and the cost was $1600. Dr. Reynolds is trying to get a special release of this medication for my condition, but so far no luck. I've used all of the sample stock as of 11/2. My symptoms of incontinence have returned."

"My doctor gave me samples of Gemtesa, and it worked great for my bladder without the horrible dry mouth of the other drug I was on (Oxybutynin). I took it at night before bed. After a week, I woke up with a ringing in my left ear, but it faded after about an hour. The next day, both ears were ringing when I woke up, but it would fade away after a few hours. After a couple of days, both ears were constantly ringing. I told my doctor, and he had me stop taking the drug to see if it cleared up. After a week or so, the ringing quit, but my bladder stayed calm for several weeks. With the remaining samples, I found that I could take one, and it would calm my bladder for a week or longer. I would have stayed on it, taking it as needed, but my insurance doesn't cover it."

"Been taking this now about 2 weeks. So far, I like it, but I am having some of the lesser side effects, such as sinus, phlegm, and coughing issues. Dosage is 75 mg once a day, taken in the mornings. As far as the overactive bladder/incontinence, it's really seemed to help a lot, especially when driving!"

"Excellent. Generally take it only when I expect to be out and about for a good part of the day, and it works wonderfully. It reduces the urge and helps you control your normal response if you have urge incontinence."

"Worked immediately. Feel like I got my life back. No negative side effects that I recognize. Daily dosage 75 mg. Alongside, I do Kegel exercises twice a day as well as daily strengthening exercises for the pelvic floor. I have been using this medication for about six months. I hope to discuss with my physician reducing the dosage or discontinuing taking the medication without reoccurring overactive bladder problems."

"I have a temporary ureteral stent in after shockwave lithotripsy for a kidney stone. My bladder won't tolerate the stent, and I became completely incontinent, with no bladder control and a constant, unbearable urge to pee. The urologist gave me solifenacin to treat the urge incontinence, but it had no effect whatsoever and made me feel sick. By the third day, I was so miserable, I called the doctor and pleaded for some other drug. He gave me a 7-day sample of 75 mg Gemtesa to use with the solifenacin. It was effective immediately. I went from using 10 diapers a day to just two. Each day on it, the urge to pee became less and less, and I regained control over my bladder. By day 5, the urge was virtually gone, and I had complete control back. I was still feeling sick though. I stopped taking the solifenacin, and within a day, I no longer felt sick and my appetite returned. The urologist gave me another 7-day supply. I've been on it 10 days and have no side effects."

"This worked very well for me by day 2. I do have to take a stool softener every other day. I wish it were not so expensive! I try to wean myself off of it and take it every other day, then every three days. It does work for a while, and then I go back to more frequent."

"Worked great. Stopped by urgent care to urinate every 45 minutes or so. Now I go every now and then or make myself go. The problems I have encountered, which I’m not sure if I can attribute to the drug, are constipation and hard stools. I’m also experiencing ED, which wasn’t great before but seems to have gotten worse. I’m sleeping better, and I used to get up 5-6 times a night… now maybe once!"

"Nine days after I started taking Gemtesa, I could make it to the bathroom without leaking and needing to change my pad. Within 3 weeks, I could go 4 hours without leaking day or night. Now, occasionally if I go over 5 hours, I sometimes leak a small amount. I would say it has improved my problem by 95%. Side effects I have noticed are a runny nose and a headache."

"It helped curb the incontinence but did not stop it. I still do not always make it to the bathroom in time, but the wetting is not a full release like it originally was. I have not noticed any side effects after 3+ weeks of taking this medication."
