For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on the 15 mg/0.5 mL for the last four months and on Mounjaro for a total of ten months starting with the 2.5 mg dosage. Well, I have to say I love it. I had a bit of nausea in the beginning but that’s it, never had it again. I have lost a total of 115 lbs. I don’t just eat whatever I want though, I have mainly been eating chicken, eggs, and turkey with things like cauliflower rice and once a week regular rice. I have gone from being 455 lbs to my current weight of 340 lbs. Also, something awesome, I have gone from a size 62 waist in pants to now a 52. I am so happy with it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Zepbound 2.5 back in Dec 2024. No major issues in the beginning. It definitely helps control your appetite, and you feel sick if you eat too much. After going to 5.0, I got a little more nauseated and started noticing more dizziness, lightheadedness, and fatigue. But I was losing the weight, so I just kept going. After going to 7.5, that's when my horror stories started. I have taken only two doses but am stopping this stuff altogether. It has truly caused me extreme dizziness, shortness of breath, fatigue, terrible stomach pains, and diarrhea that won't stop. I have lost 37 pounds... great... but the suffering and pain that comes with this medicine... no thanks. I'd rather be a little overweight and be happy than the constant nausea, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Best of luck to you all, but I'm going to accept me for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took Mounjaro for 10 weeks and lost 7 pounds. Each week I would have a day or so of mild nausea, but no other side effects. In the 10th week, I thought I had a stomach virus but was not throwing up or having diarrhea. After a night of no sleep, I was in severe pain, my heart rate was spiking, and I was very dizzy. I ended up in the ER. All tests were negative so they did an abdominal CAT scan which showed paralysis of the small intestines...(paralytic ileus). Nothing was moving through my bowels so everything backed up into the stomach. No wonder I could not eat. It was the worst 'stomach bug' I ever had. I am glad this works for some, but there are potentially serious side effects."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I usually don’t share reviews but felt this was warranted. I took my first 2.5 mg shot on 9/4, felt fine until 9/7 when the terrible sulfur burps started followed by sour stomach and nausea. Around 10 pm that night, I began 5 days of severe vomiting and diarrhea, which culminated yesterday at the ER getting fluids, CT scans, and IV nausea meds. I will not be taking this shot again. I have not thrown up anymore, but the diarrhea will just not stop. I can’t eat or take any of my other medication properly. Beware. When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I’m a past user of Byetta, Victoza, Ozempic, Trulicity, Rybelsus, Bydureon, all the pills, and about every homeopathic treatment ever made. I didn’t take this shot like a blind fool, but I have never had a side effect as terrible as this one. I’ll stick with my insulin. At least I can function like a normal human being!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 64, 5'7" and weighed 245. Started Zepbound the second week of February, and as of September 1, have lost 65 lbs and went from a 42 waist to a 34 and never walked into a gym. Had some morning sickness at first, but got over it. You have to ask yourself, is the juice worth the squeeze? And yes, it is. Do the math: that’s between 2 to 3 lbs a week. My doctor discontinued my blood pressure medication, and my gout has gone away, not to mention how great I feel and look. You owe it to yourself if you are in need of losing weight. My BMI went from 39% to 25% as well."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Second review. I'm male, 75 years old. Began taking 2.5 mg on January 12, 2025. Today is May 21, 2025. Weight dropped from 268 to 232.5 (35.5 lbs). Went to 10 mg on May 8. Took 2 weekly 10.0 doses in that time period. Suddenly, explosive diarrhea, sulfur burps, nausea, and fatigue began May 18. My PA has advised not taking my 10.0 injection tomorrow (my regular day). Think I may need to drop back to 7.5 — had no side effects at that level (or at 2.5 or 5.0). Had already decided not to go to 12.5 because I have a friend who was fine on 10.0 but encountered major side effects at 12.5. Still, even 10.0 may not be right for me. The weight loss is stunning; haven't been at this level in over five years — but for a BMI of 25, I still have over 70 lbs to go, so I don't want to abandon Zepbound altogether. It may take longer to get there, but that's fine if it means I can avoid side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I love Zepbound ❣️ I started on the low dose, and now I’m on the 7.5, and I have lost over 25 lbs. There are side effects, not bad enough to make me not use it, they include nausea, cramping, and loose dark stool. I am totally disabled and can’t exercise, so this was a great way for me to get lighter on my feet. Thank you. Good luck if you’re starting."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This Zepbound is an absolute miracle! Prior to starting I was 210 and in less than two months down 18 pounds. My triglycerides dropped from 600 to 220. No real side effects other than constipation and nausea if I eat too much. Very grateful for this medication, don’t be afraid of Zepbound, it has changed my life in a very short period of time. Was on 2.5 mg for the first month and now started on the 5 mg with no issue. The food noise is GONE, which I never really knew was a thing, but as an overeater, I definitely understand what that means now. 10/10 all day folks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Zepbound for almost a full year. I lost weight quickly: 90 pounds. I was at my goal in 6 months. I had to go back 2 doses to maintain and stop losing weight. The nausea has not stopped. It’s better than in the beginning, but I still get it every time for 1 or 2 days after a shot. The diarrhea is terrible. It has never stopped. I get it on day 2, and it is uncontrollable. It’s been almost a year, so I would think some of these side effects would have stopped, but they haven’t. I also get sulfur burps for a day or 2 after a shot. I’m at the point where I might have to stop taking it due to the side effects. I love the weight loss, and I sure don’t want to gain it back, though."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My insurance won't cover Zepbound. I get it through the 'Lilly Direct Cash Pay for Zepbound vials.' I started with 2.5 mg for 1 month and lost 12 pounds. I moved up to 5 mg and lost 30 pounds in 4 months. Total loss so far, 42 pounds! Starting weight was 184, height is 5'3'. Current weight is 142. Only side effect for me is seldom nausea. Price is $504 each month, and that includes the needles, otherwise, it's $499. Now that Lilly offers the higher doses for the same price, next week I start 7.5 mg. I will update again in a month or so."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I love Zepbound. I was on Wegovy prior to switching to Zepbound and lost 20 pounds in 6 months. I was nauseous, fatigued, and dizzy for 3-4 days after taking my shot. However, on the Zepbound, I have no side effects other than slight pain at the injection site for 2-3 minutes after I take my shot. After switching to Zepbound, I lost another 20 pounds in just 3 months."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I completed 4 weeks on 2.5 mg with zero side effects, other than the intended appetite suppression and lost 10 pounds. HOWEVER, after my second week at 5mg, I'm not sure I can continue. I've had awful nausea, vomiting, sulfur burps, and diarrhea, to the point I had to go to the ER for IV fluids and potassium. Zofran, Phenergan, Tums, and Pepto have zero effect. I can barely function, but hey, I'm down a total of 17 lbs in 6 weeks, so at least I'll look skinny for my next trip to the ER."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started the shot on Wednesday, was kind of nervous. Ate small portions, so I wouldn't get nausea. Didn't really think it was working, didn't feel any different. It is now Monday, I have lost eight pounds. I'm never hungry, have to remember to eat, don't think about food really except fruit, it always sounds good. Absolutely no negative side effects. Started at 187, am now at 179. This is on my first shot! This stuff is amazing, looking forward to that second shot! It's expensive since state insurance doesn't cover it, and I only work part-time, but worth every cent!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Zepbound for 8 months. I am on the highest dosage and 6 pounds away from my goal weight. I have lost 65 pounds. I do get nauseous around the 2nd or 3rd day after my injection, but it has not resulted in throwing up. I really don’t have much of an appetite. When I do eat, I’m not eating nutritional food as much as I should. This has resulted in muscle loss. I recently started eating more protein. I would recommend it, but just know what to expect, read over all the possible side effects and just be careful and be very truthful about how it makes you feel and what it does. Zepbound really has changed my life. I started Zepbound shortly after I was laid off from a job. I was there for 24 years, three months later my two littermates that were 16 years old went to the rainbow bridge. Had it not been for my weight loss, I would be a mess. Take vitamins, drink lots of water. Good luck."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking this medication for weight loss. My first round of the 4 injections was 2.5 mg, and it had no negative side effects at all. I just had no appetite. I lost 10 lbs within that 4 weeks. I then moved up to the 0.5 mg. The day after taking the first injection, nausea hit like a train. I never threw up but was just nauseous. I called my doctor, and she prescribed medication for the nausea which helped immensely. By the time I took my second injection, the nausea had gone away, and I had lost another 5 lbs. I still have so much more to go and I'm very optimistic. I literally have had no appetite; nothing sounds good or tastes good. I do drink as much water as I can throughout the day. I've had no problems with constipation but as a precaution, I take a couple of stool softeners once a week and I'm good to go. I used to have a sweet tooth, but not now. Great benefits, has tolerable side effects, and is very easy to use."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "As soon as I began at the 2.5 dosage, I modified my diet radically to mitigate or even entirely avoid the dreaded side effects of indigestion, nausea, constipation, heartburn, and vomiting. I also embarked on a free-weight program to build muscle. Fortunately, I’ve experienced none of the unpleasant side effects. I’ve titrated up after each 4-week dosage and am now in the middle of 7.5 mg. My doctor tells me I have lost more weight than most patients have at this point. I also have chronic inflammation, which extra weight exacerbates, and I’m watching carefully to see that marker decrease. That’s the good news. Zepbound has completely changed my relationship to food. I consider myself a “foodie.” That’s now behind me. I remind myself that it’s been only 10 weeks. I’m hopeful that at some point, I will be able to enjoy more of the foods that were once such a large part of my life."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Good results. Immediate appetite suppression starting with the lowest dose. More importantly, my food cravings went away. It takes a couple of weeks, at most, to get through the psychological part of less appetite/less food. You get full quickly, and yet you feel like you still want to eat because your mind is telling you, 'how can you be full already, you've only had 4 bites?' It only takes one or two times of being nauseated or vomiting to remember to eat less. I have lost 48 lbs in exactly 7 months, and my hypertension is gone."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started taking Zepbound for less than a week now. I am 5 days in. I have not had any major side effects. I have felt very little nausea at times. I had a very mild tummy ache a couple of times. I felt a little dizzy the first day and then nothing after that. I felt very fatigued the third day but have been good since. I have lost 4 lbs so far. I am 5' 2" and weighed 161. I am down to 157 as of today (5th day). My goal is 130 at least. I don't feel hungry. I don't think about snacking. I forget to eat most of the time because I am not hungry. I have to remind myself to eat something. I eat very small portions and feel satisfied. I am loving this! I do recommend it to anyone wanting to lose weight."

Ended up in ER and blood pressure was so high I was at stroke level! Readings were 220/123, 187/113, 197/116, 178/112! No issues before medication! Beware, this medication is so new there is no telling how many other side effects it can have! I pray this mess gets out of my system soon!"

"Started taking specifically for weight loss. Starting weight on Aug 1 was 192 lbs and did the 2.5mg for a month. Weight on Aug 30 was 176 lbs! Only side effect was the WORST dry mouth - whoa! Not expecting that but it went away. It completely took away constant thoughts of eating and cravings. Weight loss was effortless. Started 5mg - 2nd week had a lot more nausea - felt like pregnancy nausea. If I was busy, I wouldn't think about it but if I thought about eating or smelled food - no thank you! It was the most intense the day after I did my shot and for the next 2 days or so. Weight after 2 months - 162.6 lbs! I'm on week 7 of 5mg and the nausea is basically gone. Weight hasn't changed for the last week."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication saved my life! In the beginning, the nausea was very noticeable but worth every bit! I never really had a problem with my weight until after my pregnancies. I gained over 90 lbs with each of my two pregnancies. Being at over 300 lbs and only 5’1” was a miserable existence. I couldn’t breathe and was exhausted all of the time, not to mention pre-diabetic and very high blood pressure. It has definitely been a journey, but I stand by that this medication saved my life. I’ve lost 125 lbs. I still have a way to go to get to my goal, but I’m so happy to be alive to see how much better life can be! By the way, my A1C is now normal, and the hypertension has also resolved! I’m very grateful!"

"I started Mounjaro on July 1, 2022. I just turned 74 and was at the end of my rope with my obesity. I immediately developed a sour stomach/nausea and heartburn. But the wonderful side effect of having no appetite and not obsessing about food EVERY WAKING MOMENT was worth it. I still enjoy food, just eat less than half what I used to and no snacking. I lost 30 pounds in 2 months. I take one more injection (totally painless and easy to give) of 7.5 mg and then move up to 10 mg. My worst problem is terrible constipation. I’m working on it by using Colace, etc. but haven’t solved it completely. Since I’m on Medicare, I am paying THOUSANDS of dollars for this drug. So my savings account is decreasing but so is my weight. If I can afford it, I hope to stay on Mounjaro for one year. I still go to Weight Watchers and live by their eating plan which is very healthy."

Mounjaro has been life-changing. No bad side effects. I’m not hungry, I don’t have cravings, I’m losing weight steadily, and sweet desserts taste too sweet. Many people say they’ve had bad side effects with it. I say try it as it may work for you. Just like I couldn’t use other meds that other people love. For me, it has been life-altering."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Mounjaro 2.5 mg on September 6th, weighing in at 128 kilos. I'm now on my 7th shot of 10 mg (as I stayed on 10 mg for another month over Christmas) and I weigh 106 kilos in January. This is without changing my lifestyle of exercise or food. I eat smaller portions and don't think about food half as much as I used to. It's been great up until my 6th shot of 10 mg. I would experience mild side effects of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps. These tended to be spread across the board as well though, never all at the same time, and it was manageable. However, my 6th dose I felt instantly! I was nauseous for 3 days straight, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps, tired, the list is endless. I was so worn out by the nausea, I couldn't sleep, eat, or drink. I took myself to the walk-in center at the hospital where they referred me straight to A&E for having a resting heart rate of 128 bpm. I was put on an IV drip, bloods taken. I felt awful and still do! Going to go back to 7.5 mg."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking Mounjaro on 9/1. This resulted in the very worst month of my life. WEEK ONE - Super Nauseous, indigestion, stomach pain for 3-4 days of the first week. My appetite went from a 10 to a 2 (which was good). WEEK TWO - I had diarrhea for 3-4 days, along with sulfur belches, nausea, stomach pain. I ended up having to take sick days and go get an IV bag to recover from the dehydration. WEEK THREE - World-class nausea and vomiting. 3 days of vomiting so hard that I ruptured my esophagus. The entire month, if I was not having diarrhea, I was VERY constipated. I lost 9 lbs in one month, but I don't know if it was because I could barely eat due to the sickness. PASS!!"
