Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Flu-like symptoms, nausea, discomfort after eating anything. Broth has been my go-to. Very fatigued. Hoping week 2 will be better. Today is day 7. No appetite, no energy. There's not an option for maybe. One week isn’t enough time to give recommendations."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started on Mounjaro last May 2024, weighing 303 lbs. By December 2024, I lost down to 190 lbs. with my A1C at 6, and my glucose is 100, down from 286 in May 2024! Mounjaro is wonderful for me! I had nausea at first, but dosage of 15, no nausea whatsoever. I’ve had to buy all new clothes, and I love it!"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Mounjaro for 7 weeks. The first 4 weeks the dosage was 2.5, and the last 3 weeks it was 5. I love Mounjaro! It takes away my food obsessions and sugar cravings. It lets me focus on life rather than on food. I did get a few minor incidents of diarrhea and an occasional minor feeling of nausea, but they were nothing serious. Mounjaro has helped me lose 15 pounds in 7 weeks and brought my blood sugar from 220 to 120. I wish it were cheaper, but it has been worth it for me."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Mounjaro in November 2024 and did not have any side effects, only when I was increased to 5 mg, and the nausea was bad, and I was sick a few times when I ate anything with a high/medium fat content. But I managed to get anti-sickness tablets from my GP, and I have lost 3.5 stone since starting this. I was 17 stone, and I can now go up 3 flights of stairs and not stop for breath, as before, I had to stop on the first flight. I have started to drink more water, as before I hated it. I was a fizzy drink person. I have also added more supplements to my daily intake, as before I never took supplements. The only issue I have now is sulfur burps and still nausea with the occasional trapped wind."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Mounjaro 8 weeks ago. I’m 69 years old with T2D and weighing 234 lbs. I now weigh 214. I start on 7.5 this weekend. I have had light nausea and light constipation, and the lovely burps, but other than that, all is good. I eat better, no hunger 24/7, and I feel so much better. No more metformin. Yay!!!!"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started medication in early March. One dose weekly for 6 weeks, till I quit. Severe nausea that would last for 5 days after each shot. It does eliminate your desire to eat, but I gained 11 pounds during the 6-week period. Also, I now have an irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath from this. I've been off the medication since mid-April. It is now 6/9/23, and I am still having problems, and upcoming heart tests scheduled."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am only on 5 mg so far at 6 weeks from the start. Have lost 6-7 pounds already. Minor times of queasiness, and very infrequent. Appetite way down. So far, so good... I have pre-diabetes, insulin resistance, 2 heart conditions, and obesity (after a lifetime of being skinny but now can't lose), and my insurance STILL won't cover it! Costing me $500 a month with a copay card, which is outrageous, but I have to do this for my health and longevity."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started on 2.5 mg in December and have titrated up every 4 weeks to 12.5 mg currently. So far I have been losing 2-3 lbs a week and have lost 34 lb, and up until now I haven't really noted any serious side effects other than occasional constipation and slight nausea if I don't eat something small every few hours, or if I eat something really fatty. The last two titrations I have noticed some extreme fatigue and being cold on the first day after my shot, but then it usually starts to go away on the 2nd day and I feel better. I have also noticed that if I try to push through the tiredness and try exercising, I usually feel better. I have tried to stick to a 1200-1500 calorie diet and do eat a lot more fruits and veggies, and I feel better than I have in a long time. Overall, it’s been a good experience and I’m super excited to see how much more weight I can lose."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "When I first started taking Mounjaro, I would get very nauseated, even throw up sometimes. Then my body got used to it, and I actually lost around 25 lbs. I asked my Dr if we could up the dosage because I stopped losing weight. I went up to Mounjaro 5.0. After my first shot, I was fine, just nauseated. After my second shot of 5.0, I broke out in hives all over my body. I continued taking my shot, and on the third week, the hives got worse. I was miserable, itching with large red spots all over. The Dr then lowered my dose back to 1.5, and finally, the hives went away, but I am not losing any more weight."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Mounjaro for 13 weeks. I am currently on the 7.5 mg dose. This medicine has changed my life! My A1C went from 12.9 to 6.5 in 12 weeks. My weight dropped 27 lbs, and my relationship with food has improved 100%. Side effects: slight nausea the day after I increased the dosage, decreased appetite, occasional need for a laxative to combat constipation."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my fifth week today. Have very little appetite and burning in my throat and nausea. Have been constipated also. The burning in the throat is the worst. I told them and prescribed nausea pills. I took one tonight, but it's not helping. Feel like I am going to void. Took Roland. Nothing helps. I was on semaglutide 2 years ago and never had this burning in my throat. Constipated on both. Am losing weight faster after 4 weeks. Right now, I can’t even imagine increasing the dose because of this awful burning in my throat."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I was on 2.5 dosages for several weeks. I felt a little nauseous but was losing weight and very happy. I was not waking up in the middle of the night feeling hungry. When I went to refill my next prescription, all the pharmacy had was 12.5 mg, so I agreed to try. Huge mistake. I have severe nausea, felt like I have the flu, can't stay awake, and body aches are ridiculous. I projectile vomited what looks like coffee grounds, I have awful sulfuric burps, and can't even keep down sips of water. I've missed 2 days of work thus far and have to have someone come to my house tomorrow to give me an IV because I'm too scared to drive. Not worth it at all."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Mounjaro for about 6 months now. I'm taking it for type 2 diabetes, and I needed to lose some weight also. At first, I had no side effects at all. However, in the past month, I've started going through quite a few. I'm currently on 7.5mg, and this is where my effects started. My appetite has gone from healthy to almost nonexistent, I'm always nauseous and now have low blood pressure. The good thing about it is that my A1c has drastically dropped from 11.9 to 6.5, which is really great. I'm getting blood glucose readings under 110, and before I started this medicine, I couldn't get my glucose under 280 on a good day. I'm currently seeing an endocrinologist and also a nutritionist who is awesome. My doctor says 7.5mg might be where I need to stay for a while, especially until my stomach adjusts to it. I wish it would hurry because I believe that Mounjaro is the best thing that was ever prescribed for me. I was previously on Bydurion (B-cise) for over 2 years, and it didn't help."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have used Ozempic, Saxenda, and Wegovy and changed due to shortages, nausea, or not getting results. Been on Mounjaro for 1 month at 2.5. I have lost 2.8 kilos. No nausea and no desire to eat or pig out. My IBS/bloating has significantly reduced too. However, I eat small, healthy meals of protein, salads, and some fruit. I am very conscious of eating nutritious food and drinking lots of water. Mounjaro is expensive (in Australia), but it so far is the best product for me."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have had great success with Zepbound, currently on 15 mg. Been on it for 6 months, 67 lbs down. Went from a size 20 pants to a 12. I have had some nausea and vomiting. It’s easy to use. I’m squeamish when it comes to shots, so for the first 2 months, my husband had to inject me. I got used to it and can now do it on my own. I feel so much better about myself and so much healthier."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I tried to leave a review, but for some reason, it wasn't posted, so I will try again. My doctor took me off of Mounjaro recently. I developed large welts about 24 hours after I injected the 75 doses and 10. My doctor fears I am developing an allergic reaction, so I am going back to the rival insulin alternative. (I had more side effects with the Ozempic: exhaustion, extreme nausea, and constipation, but hopefully, over time, they go away this time.) Too bad, because I really wanted to stay on Mounjaro. It should be noted that I really like Mounjaro very much. Well-controlled sugar, once I was on my maintenance dose of 10. For some reason, I gained five pounds while on Mounjaro, I never lost weight, where I lost about 15 pounds on the other mentioned insulin alternative. It seems that other patients on other review sites have this welt issue too. The issue should be reported not only to the doctor, but per the request of the manufacturer, please report to them as well."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started on the 2.5 dose in October, my doctor felt that the weight loss would help with my joint pain and lower my A1C. From day 1, I was extremely nauseous, had no desire to eat, had sulfur burps, and had constipation. I spoke with my doctor, who encouraged me to ride it out. On week four, I was stepped up to the 5 mg dosage. The doctor called in Zofran for stomach issues. On week six, I called her and said I could no longer function. During this time, I was so fatigued and was having heart palpitations and was barely able to walk 20 feet without being totally exhausted. I chalked it up to being so nauseous and not eating. Then my legs started to burn like I had walked up a steep hill and felt so sore and bruised I could barely sit. That week, I had my follow-up appointment with my doctor. I told her about my symptoms, and she said that rhabdomyolysis is not a side effect of Mounjaro. I was never dehydrated, but my CK levels were still 440 two weeks off the medication! Eight weeks later, and no improvement!"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started out on the 2.5 for 2 months and lost 15 lbs, and my A1C dropped from 6.7 to 6.0. Mild side effect symptoms of abdominal pain and nausea. I started the 5 mg and had explosive diarrhea and uncontrollable vomiting, with abdominal and back pain. My blood pressure dropped to 88/55. I had to stop taking the Mounjaro. After 3 weeks, I am starting to feel normal again. Sorry it didn’t work for me. It did curb the appetite."

Tirzepatide "For me, this is a miracle drug! I am perimenopausal and have gained belly fat and weight over the last two years. I started the Mounjaro 2.5 mg dose the first month and lost almost 3 pounds a week. I am sleeping better too, without the extra weight. The only side effects I have are small bouts of nausea here and there the first two days after my dose. Everyone I know taking the medication for weight loss who has had side effects has told me they are not eating properly or exercising. The recommendation was low sugar and no fried foods, so that is how I am eating. I have limited alcohol intake as well. I am now in my 6th week of the shots and was moved up to 5 mg on week five. I have the same side effects, a little bit of nausea here and there the first two days after the shot. I am now down 16 pounds. I only wanted to lose 20, so I am almost at my goal weight. My exercise consists of walking 2 miles around my neighborhood, yoga, and some pickleball. Eat well! Mounjaro is a miracle!"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "The meds did exactly what I expected. Lowered A1C, and I lost weight. The bad part is I was so sick on days 3-5 that it was awful. I couldn’t do my usual activities. No swimming for fear of losing control of bowels, and severe nausea. It worked great, but the side effects were extremely uncomfortable, I lost sleep from GERD. Disappointing for me."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I'm only on my second week, but I've lost 7 pounds so far. It forces me to eat because if I don't, I feel sick, but when I eat, I get full super fast. So it's like it's forcing me to do good and not starve myself. I really like that. The first week I had slight nausea here and there and a couple of headaches. Also, a little indigestion. I do feel pretty tired. I've been eating a low-carb diet. I'm going to incorporate exercise at the end of this week. I can only imagine how much I have the potential to lose once I start exercising if I've lost 7 just by eating better. Overall, I am satisfied with this drug. I'm on the low dose right now."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’m struggling to get below 154 lbs, and being 5’, that’s a lot of weight to carry, which induces back pain. Lost 20 lbs on Ozempic from the beginning of the year till June, have managed to gain back 5 lbs, which isn’t awful but still not at my goal weight. I just left the ER from getting a bolus of saline due to dehydration. I’m battling hypoglycemia. I took my first shot on Tuesday. Wednesday felt decent, but malaise was setting in. Thursday, I didn’t even realize I had not eaten all day and all night at work. Friday night, I tried to eat half of a sandwich and was completely nauseous. Tonight at work, after eating half a sandwich and a few green beans, I had terrible diarrhea and became so dizzy and nauseated I was forced to leave work, having someone else take over my patients. Just a word of advice: if you’re a busy person, this med may not be for you. I had side effects of fever, chills, nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, and muscle pain, and I was negative for flu, COVID, and strep. The doctor said to go back to Ozempic :( but I’ve lost 6 lbs already!"

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on a low dosage (0.25 mg/weekly) two weeks ago. It actually decreased the appetite without any side effects. I am exercising due to an increase in energy. I actually eat one meal a day, I only eat until I am full. I tried to eat more but got very nauseous. At the end of two weeks, I have lost 30 lbs. The exercise allows me to keep my muscle mass. It's great to be able to move more easily. One side effect I noticed also was increased focus in my thought patterns. It is a blessing for that. Multi-tasking is made simpler."
