For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Save yourselves the pain of this horrible product. The discomfort I felt before I took this does not compare to the pain I felt after I inserted it into the vagina. It felt like somebody spread my legs apart and poured lava into my cervix! I would never wish this pain onto anybody, much less my worst enemy. One time is an accident, multiple complaints about the pain and burning from this Monistat 1. I am surprised that they haven't been sued. This should be pulled from shelves! Just go to the doctor and get some cream. Just say heck no to this egg. I should have read reviews beforehand. I don't think they should have this being sold. I have never felt this pain in my life, and I birthed three children naturally. Never again would I use this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read the reviews, and truly some sounded horrific. So, being the weekend and not wanting to wait until Monday, I decided to try the Monistat 1 anyway. Because so many people complained of severe pain, cramping, and burning, I took a Tramadol, put the ovule in, and went to bed. I did have some itching during the night, but I woke up feeling much better. So far, it seems to have worked like a charm."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read a lot of scary reviews before I went out and bought the overnight anyway... Either those reviews are exaggerated extremely, or I got lucky. The burning was pretty minimal, you have to also consider the medicine is doing a job in one night instead of seven... So there will be itching and burning. It's about twenty hours into treatment, and it itches a little, but when you get a yeast infection, it causes little tiny cuts on the inside. This is why it itches and burns a bit! All in all, it seems to be doing its job, and the pain is not horrendous (for me anyway). If you start experiencing pain or swelling, try Benadryl or ibuprofen respectively!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never write reviews, but I feel morally obligated to tell everyone that if you love your vagina, don't ever use this! This was the most painful experience of my life. I cried for 2 hours. This devil's egg feels like beehives and fire ants crawled up your vagina, and you can't get it out. Still waiting to see if it cured my infection, but it's been 15 hours, and my vagina is so swollen inside every time I walk. It feels like it's chafing. DO NOT USE THIS!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I tried this a few years ago. My vagina, labia, everything swelled to ridiculous proportions. Painful, itching, burning, way worse than the yeast infection itself. Haven't used it since, never again. Horrible experience."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Bruh, this stuff burns so bad. Save your time and go take the pill for the infection, you're way better off. It feels like I put hot sauce in my vagina. So upset! This made my yeast infection 5x worse painfully!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat 3 before, and it worked really well! This time I opted for Monistat 1 and was VERY disappointed. Shortly after inserting the pill, I began to experience what I can only describe as the worst burning itching pain of my life. The pain eventually went away but has been coming on in spurts, and it has been 3 days since I began the treatment. I do not recommend the one-day treatment, but for me, the 3-day worked very well."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 18 and have had several yeast infections before. I first used this product a couple of years ago. I, too, had the same horrible side effects from this drug you are reading about right now. I took it before I went to bed, and at around 3 a.m., I swore I would never willingly insert that evil egg in my body again. I cannot describe the pain. However, my symptoms were practically cured the next morning. In a few days, my YI was completely cured. Several months later, I got another YI. Not remembering the promise I made to myself about the evil egg, I purchased more Monistat 1. Surprisingly, I did not experience the horrible side effects again. I have used it another time and had no side effects. I recommend it for women who have frequent YIs."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I swear it feels like a colony of fire ants has taken up residence in my vagina. Put this in a little over two hours ago, and it took about an hour before the real pain set in. Took some Advil PM, here's hoping the morning comes with a clean bill of health for my poor innards."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Terrible product. I inserted the egg before going into work and had the worst shift of my life. I didn't experience any burning, but the itching has been unbearable. Couldn't sleep comfortably. Used a showerhead to try to soothe, and still no difference. Made my vagina so sore I could barely sit down. Would not recommend this product. A 7-day cream is much more comfortable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went and bought the Monistat 1 day. Only took a few hours for it to start burning like anything! I can't move! It's burning and itching like crazy! Idk what to do. This pain is unbearable. Everyone thinks I'm crazy because they never had this experience. I can't sleep at night! I'm not sure why a product would put you in so much pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't remember having such burning and painful experiences in the past when using this (I get yeast infections frequently, but of course I'm having symptoms going into the weekend, so I thought I'd treat myself). About 30 mins after I inserted the egg... My vagina exploded with fiery burning pain. Hopefully, things get better soon. Ahh."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the 1-day at night and woke up the next morning in pain! And itching! And was so swollen I've never seen my vagina that swollen before! Laid in bed all weekend with ice packs on my lady parts, hurts too much to get up and move around. Went to the doctor on Monday and she prescribed the pill form for YI. I've missed 2 days of work, still swollen and itching, and my crotch is still on fire. Going on day 5, this is awful. Will never, ever use the 1-day again. I have no idea how to make it through the day at work tomorrow, but I can't miss another day. Worst medicine EVER!!!! DO NOT USE!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy. Within a half hour, I was on fire and swollen. I took a bath and currently have an ice pack on. I can only hope the pain subsides soon. Do not take this product. Call your doctor and get an antibiotic. I have never experienced something like this before."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought this yesterday afternoon, thinking it would be a quick and easy fix to a mild YI. I inserted the treatment at around 10 pm, feeling a very light burn... it is now 2 am, and my vagina feels like it's on FIRE!!!!! Of course, I freaked out and started reading reviews, and it seems to be a normal reaction. The pain is unbearable!!! I can't sleep from the pain and itching!! I have a high pain tolerance, but this feels like acid was poured all up in my lady parts!! And there is a fire-breathing dragon inside me! This sucks!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So this was my first YI, and I'm assuming it was mild by looking it up on the internet. I was recommended Monistat from a reliable source, and I was not expecting how uncomfortable this medication was. It warns of mild burning, but it almost got to a point where I couldn't stand it. It felt like burning spiders crawling down my vagina. I was afraid to move or even relax. The burning did not stop for about 3 hours. I peed 2 times in that span, and there was some of the ointment discharge, and my vagina was extremely sore. The morning after, the discharge was a gross creamy color, still sore, but the itching/burning was gone. Throughout the day, I have had weird discharge, but the symptoms are better. I would not recommend this product to anyone, even though it worked. I go through enough as a woman, and I wouldn't give this to anyone. There must be a better way."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If I could give this a trillion for a rating, I would. I took this at 12, hoping to cure my YI and really wanting the regular irritation to go away. Around 1 o'clock, it hit me like someone lit a match in my vagina. The burning and itching are indescribable. I had to have someone pick me up and was trembling and crying. THIS BOX NEEDS TO HAVE A LABEL ON IT EXPLAINING THIS REACTION!! And there's basically nothing you can do but wait it out. After 3 hours, I started feeling better, but it still burns SO MUCH. I bought AZO yeast infection oral capsules to take orally to help relieve the pain, so hopefully it helps. I wish I saw these reviews BEFORE taking it. It IS NOT WORTH IT. Unbearable pain and discomfort."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Although it burns, itches, and makes you want to rip your hair off, this product is not bad. Bear with me, I got a YI due to antibiotics, so I decided to go with Monistat 1. So I inserted the egg at about 11 pm after a shower and used a little bit of the cream. I woke up at 2 am with the worst pain of my life. Literally on fire, as if chemicals had been in it! I used the cooling wipes and just sat on the bathroom floor for about 2 hours. The pain slowly eased, and it’s now 5 am, and I can get some rest. I woke up at noon and feel better than ever. If it’s burning, it’s probably just working, be patient and give it some time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Save your vag the additional pain and just call your doctor. I was taking antibiotics for a horrible sinus infection. I ended up getting a YI. In efforts of being proactive and treating the YI early, I used this product. I'm in a lot more pain than I was before using. I feel like I've been attacked by bees and hot sauce. I hope I feel better in the morning because I have to work. Should've read the reviews before purchasing."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve never had a problem with Monistat 3, so I figured I would try the one-day treatment. Bad mistake. After I inserted it, I went to bed and woke up feeling fine, but it starts to hurt and itch like anything after I went to the bathroom to wipe away all the excess. After that, it started getting super swollen, like a balloon. It hurt so bad, and I had to lay in bed all day with no panties or pants. The itching went away, but it was just so swollen. It was very difficult to sleep like that, not even being able to close my legs! The next morning, the swelling had gone down a little bit, but it was still pretty swollen. I’ve been laying in bed with an ice pack between my legs all day. If you’ve never used Monistat before, I strongly recommend getting the 3 or 7-day one!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Monistat 1 earlier today and began feeling intense burning about 2 hours later. Very uncomfortable and painful, so I googled 'Monistat 1 burning' and arrived here, now reading all the reviews. At least I know it's somewhat 'normal' for it to feel like this, but all the same, I will never use the 1-day treatment again and would not recommend it to anyone else. It's been about 4 hours since I took it, and I'm wondering how long before the burning will ease up, *sigh*"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not, I repeat, do not get this medicine. My mom bought it for me from the store. So I got home, got in the tub, and put it in about 11. I woke up at 3 a.m. by force. It was itching and burning so badly. I'm not lying or being dramatic. I was praying and so close to crying. It was a burning type of pain also. I had to get in the tub and rub warm water on my vagina for an hour. Now I'm back in bed and it's still burning. I wish I would've listened to the little reviews I did read before I put the pill in. I don't recommend this at all."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "WARNING!! Do not use!! Extreme burning and itching. I was so desperate I put a cold cloth on my vagina to ease the pain. I did this repeatedly until the itching and burning stopped. It's been over 10 years since I had a YI, but I thought Monistat was safe. It is not. THERE IS NO WAY THIS AMOUNT OF PAIN IS THE RESULT OF AN EFFECTIVE PRODUCT!! My vagina was extremely sore after this. Pull this product and have someone look into these complaints NOW."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the 1-day tioconazole cream, not the suppository. I have used the suppository before, which sucks, and it hurt like hellfire in my vagina, however, it worked, so I was nervous to try the 1-day cream, but I have been on antibiotics for a week and got a yeast infection as a result, so I used Monistat expecting terrible pain. However, there was no pain at all. One hour in, I got out of bed and walked around, causing an intense itch, but I laid down, and it went away after about 15 minutes. I woke up in the morning with no pain at all and no itchiness. My vagina is slightly sore, nothing unmanageable. I expect the soreness will go away by tomorrow morning, like it did last time when I used the suppository. I would say this is very effective."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, decided I had a yeast infection, so I went to the store to avoid going to the doctor. Found Monistat 1 and was pleased that there was such a thing to make it go away fast. I inserted the egg at about 11:30 pm last night and felt completely fine. At about 4:30 this morning, I started to feel some discomfort, so I went to the bathroom. I sat on the toilet for about 20 minutes in horrible pain, itching and itching. I came back to bed thinking it would just go away. Nope. I'm laying here in such pain, it's 5:30 AM and I have a heating pad in my crotch. I would never recommend this to someone, and I am suffering. Usually I read reviews, but I didn't this time and wow am I regretting it. Do yourself a favor and don't get this stuff."
