For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The only thing getting me through the most painful, burning, itching I've ever felt down there is reading these comments. But laughing makes it burn and itch more. I'm in hour 2 and looking for Benadryl. I can only find kids' liquid formula in my house, and I'm seriously considering making myself a cocktail of that and whiskey. I'm pretty sure this stuff was concocted by the military to make the enemy talk. 'If you don't tell us, you're getting a dose of Monistat 1. The EGG.'"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was nervous about using the one-day Monistat because of all the negative reviews I read, but you have to remember that everyone reacts differently to everything, so keep that in mind! I used it before I went to bed, and I felt some burning about 15-20 minutes after I did it, but that only lasted about an hour, and it wasn't intense or anything ridiculously uncomfortable at all. I woke up to take my morning bathroom trip, and I didn't feel any of my normal burning or itching when I went pee, so needless to say, it does work! I still feel a little itchy, but it doesn't burn or irritate me like before, and I didn't expect it to cure me completely in one day. I suggest wearing a pad because of the leaking!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Let me tell you this stuff is not for the weak! My hot pocket was on fire about 30-45 mins after I inserted that devil stick in me. I really think it made me worse because now it hurts to even put my underwear on. Definitely going with the 3-day cream next time. I've never felt a burn and itch so bad in my life. My hot pocket is literally swollen. Also, the medicine ran out of me like ginger ale and Alka-Seltzer's had got together in there and had a party."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Lol, don't be such babies. Men are supposed to act like babies. Yes, the stuff burns and itches with the medicine. It's supposed to. It's destroying the fungus, lol. The product works, and it didn't burn and itch for that long. Like I read on one review... We are women, crap happens to us and worse stuff than a yeast infection. Toughen up. Buy the product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've just used the Monistat 1-Day last night at about 11:30 pm. Some of it came out during my morning bathroom visit, but there's quite a bit left. I even took a shower after the suggested 9-12 hours. I don't feel all the way well just yet, but I haven't experienced the extreme burning or itching side effects that a lot of people are so upset about. The only way this one-day thing can work is if you actively keep up on your health and sugar intake while the medicine does its work. Take Azo so you don't have to worry about going to the bathroom, and do in fact GO to the bathroom when and as soon as you need to. Wipe front to back and wash BEFORE SEX, not just after."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat 1 Day treatment worked for me. Burned and itched for about 4-5 hours when first applied. Drained mostly out for about 3 days after usage. Sometimes it will not drain all the way out, lightly douche with water only to clear the rest if not cleared completely by day 4. Most will clear itself though. No sex during this process. Try to wait until day 5 or until Monistat completely drains from the vagina. Overall, good product. Any Monistat will do the trick for a yeast infection, whether it's the 1 day, 3 day, or 7 day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had gone to the doctor already and was given a one-time use pill for a yeast infection, plus antibiotics for a urinary tract infection. The itching and burning continued despite these medicines. I bought this product and decided to try it even after reading the negative reviews. I was desperate and already in the midst of extreme itching and pain, so I used it at 1 a.m. when I woke up again due to the irritation. Once I inserted it, I felt immediate relief, and I do mean immediate. I don't understand the negative reviews, maybe each person's body reacts differently, but I would highly recommend this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a horrible infection-itching, burning, swelling. So I picked up Monistat 1 at the drugstore and inserted it as soon as I came home. The cooling wipes that come with it are a lifesaver. After about 8 hours, I felt a fairly large discharge-assuming that the medicine needs to escape somehow. I felt much less itchy the next day, and my swelling went down 100%. However, I am on day 3, and while my painful/uncomfortable infection symptoms have completely subsided, I am still discharging quite a bit (well, a LOT actually). I'm hoping this is normal, but I may see a doctor if this persists tomorrow."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg!!!! My Na Na is on fire... I almost want to take a brush to it, how bad it itches. Here I am thinking I'm going to get some relief after inserting the ovule when the itching and burning increases times 100000000... I almost began to think maybe it's more than a yeast infection but couldn't be because I haven't had sex in years. I'm burning like a Hot Cheeto. They should take this product off the market... it really sucks. Now I'm up during the middle of the night burning and writing this!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got my first yeast infection when I was 16. My mom went and bought me Monistat 7, and it worked great. I felt better within a day. About two months ago, I got the symptoms of a yeast infection, but without the discharge. Unsure of what I had, I went and bought Monistat 7 again, and it burned and itched worse than anything I've felt. I bawled my eyes out, and it didn't stop for hours. I continued to take it for 2 more nights with the same symptoms and then went to the gyno that Monday. Turns out I had a bacterial infection, and that is why it was burning so horribly. If it burns you to the point where you are in tears, GO TO THE DOCTOR! It is probably not a yeast infection!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had never had a yeast infection in my life until two days ago. I decided that I would try Monistat 1 because I wanted it gone quickly. I went to the store the morning after symptoms started, and I inserted the ovule around 11 a.m. and applied the cream. I took a nap for a couple of hours and could already feel some relief from the itching and burning. When I got up, I did feel some slight leaking, and I still felt a little discomfort, but it was nowhere near what it was earlier that day. I was getting some discharge and a little itching, but nothing major. By bedtime, the itching had gotten a little worse, so I applied more cream, took some Aleve, and crawled into bed. I got up this morning, and all itching and burning are gone. All in less than 24 hours."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not put this thing anywhere near your vagina! All of the stuff you hear about the probiotics in the yogurt on the tampons-do that first, or go to the doctor and get the prescription for the yeast infection! I am sitting in my house so uncomfortable that I had to call off of work because I cannot leave my house because my vag itches and burns so bad. I want to go to the store and get yogurt, but I can't stop itching my crotch, so that's a problem. I am so uncomfortable, and before I put this thing in, I was fine. Before Monistat, I had mild irritation. Since I used the Monistat, I am now experiencing the worst itching and burning feeling I've ever had between my legs ever!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had an irritating yeast infection for a few days with terrible itching. Decided to make a doctor's appointment for the next morning, but figured I would try Monistat 1 in the meantime. Put the egg in at 5:30 pm. Didn't feel much for 3 hours. Became slightly itchy around 9:30 pm, but it was definitely bearable and nothing compared to how I had felt the previous days due to the yeast infection. Had discharge (mostly medicine), definitely recommend wearing a pad to bed that night and a little bit the next day as well. Within 24 hours, my yeast infection was gone, and I was feeling good as new! These reviews all scared me quite a lot, but I am very relieved none of the horrible burning or itching happened to me. Would definitely use Monistat 1 again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First off, I must say, 'do not be afraid of this product!' It does burn and itch, but it's not as bad as some describe. I was able to work all day after I inserted it. When the burning got bad, I just went to the bathroom during my break times and used the cream and wipes. Any medicine at prescribed strength form inserted into you is going to hurt. We as women do so much to our bodies, and this is nothing compared to a lot of these things that are a necessity to our health!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I realized how people never come back to say if the product actually worked or not. Well, I'm here to tell you it does. I used this product about a week ago and came here to write a horrible review on how irritated, sore, raw, burning, and itchy I was from it. I started feeling these side effects about 1 hour after I put the hellish egg in me. After about 2 days, the symptoms went away and fully healed my YI. I am completely back to normal. Bottom line is the product DOES work and can heal your symptoms fully within 48 hours...only if you're up for the painful side effects. Honestly, if I had the option to use this again, I probably would because it works CRAZY fast."

"I’m only about 5 hours into this Monistat 1 experience, and at this point, I don’t even care if it works. Nothing is worth this burn. My poor coochie feels like what I can only imagine as the depths of hell. Hot lava-level pain. I read the entire pamphlet, and this was not a warning, and after seeing all these reviews of other women experiencing the same, it DEFINITELY should be! If you are considering buying this product, do not do it! It’s not worth the risk. I’m sitting here at 5 a.m. typing this review because the pain is keeping me awake. I have survived second-degree burns on my entire hand before, and this is nearly comparable to that, but there is literally nothing I can do about this one except wait it out. The anti-itch cream that came with it is worthless and does nothing for me. If you are reading this because you just used the product and are starting to realize something is off, Godspeed to you, sister. I wish you luck."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I'm very prone to yeast infections and UTIs, so this is not new for me. I knew the signs and symptoms of my yeast infection: itching, a lot of discomfort, and thick, creamy discharge. I waited it out a couple of days because sometimes when they're mild, they'll go away on their own, but I couldn't handle the discomfort. So luckily, I had Monistat 1 at home, so I popped it in, and it's been almost 4 hours, and I'm feeling amazing. So I guess you're supposed to take this before bed? But I used it at 7:45 AM because I didn't want to be uncomfortable this whole day. I've heard horrible stories about Monistat 1 and amazing ones as well, it just depends on your body and how it reacts to the medicine. Not everyone feels results as quickly as me! Don't panic!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a cute review to post, but Drugs.com believes in cutting to the chase, so okay. So, had a yeast infection for quite some time (about 3 weeks... yikes!), not my first one though. So on July 5th, I bought Monistat 1, busted open the lifesaver and got busy. The applicator was easy to slide in and apply. I also used the cream to ease the itching... nah. 2 hours later, I went to class and almost had a freakin' panic attack because the burning and itching intensified like none other. Oh my goodness, cool wipes were a waste, I was better off using Vagisil's anti-itch wipes... cooch was on fire! However, after all the pain, the kit worked. No more symptoms after July 8th. Would be nice to have a warning saying all this, but it was worth it to be honest."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again!!! Only 2nd yeast infection ever, so I thought I'd give Monistat 1 a try. Holy moly, I have never felt such intense burning, itching, and swelling. Finally took a shower to wash away what I could, then had to use an ice pack. Up all night, so painful! They need to repackage with labeling and visuals of flames shooting from the nether region!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the first review I've left on anything ever because I think as girls, it's important we have each other's backs on things like this. FIRST. When you take this, be sure to have a bottle of wine ready and some serious distraction. Don't think you can just pop it in and feel better in a few hours. This thing will burn and itch like the devil himself is inside of you, BUT. You're putting something in you that's expected to treat you overnight that is really supposed to be a span of 7-10 days. That's a whole lot of chemicals in your already sensitive lady parts. So it will burn and itch like hell, and I wouldn't recommend it if you have a low pain tolerance. But if you can open a bottle of wine and clean your house, promise it works!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst pain I have ever experienced. I can imagine only giving birth being worse. I had itching and burning that was very uncomfortable but tolerable before the Monistat 1. After the Monistat 1, the pain became so bad that I had to consciously breathe to keep myself from losing my temper. I went to the ob-gyn, and when she tested me, it hurt so bad that I actually cried... It would not have been that bad without the Monistat. She did explain that the yeast can create little cuts basically, and when you put the cream in there, it can cause burning. Just like putting alcohol on a cut... So that's the explanation for it, and it doesn't make me angry with Monistat. I'm just ready for this to be gone..."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used Monistat 1 about a year ago and a few more times before, it worked great, relief within 24 hours. My current experience is a complete 180. The burning and itching are unbearable. I can't imagine what the makers have done differently, they need to go back to the original formula, which worked fine. I wish I had used the 3-day or just gone to the doctor. It's bedtime, but the pain is keeping me awake. I will never purchase again!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "NO. Do not take this, ladies! Unless you want burning, itching, swollen lady parts, that is. I applied this as I laid down to sleep, just like I would with Monistat 7, but immediately felt the fires of hell erupting inside and out of the last place any sane person would pick to feel it. Finally got to sleep after splashing with cold water and laying down naked from the waist down, only to feel more (less intense) burning when I woke up again at 1:15 in the morning. If it's too late for you, the best remedy seems to be a cool bath. Heaven help us all. If it's not too late for you, JUST SAY NO. This drug should NOT be on the shelves! Really, FDA??!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Developed my first YI the other day when I was on antibiotics. Obviously, the first thing I did was Google my symptoms, which led me to find out it was a YI. This led me to a link for Monistat 1, and let me tell you, most of the reviews scared the crap out of me. This is my first time with a YI, and the last thing I wanted to do was make it worse. I didn't want to take more time off of work to go back to the doctors, and I wanted relief, and fast. Among the bad reviews, there were still good ones, so I listened to those instead and just went for it with the Monistat 1 Ovule. The itching ended up getting worse at first, but then went away completely, and the next day I was completely fine. This stuff is magic! Suck it up, buttercup, and just do it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the best and most effective product I've used. I've had yeast infections before, and it takes about a week to be fully recovered. But Monistat 1 day is awesome. I would suggest doing this before bed, there will be leakage for the next few days, so a panty liner or pad is suggested. I didn't experience the burning sensation. I applied the ovule at 6:30 pm one evening before showering, the next day, I woke up, my itch was gone, and by 6:30 am, my yeast infection was clear. Still leakage, but less... the 2nd day it was very little to none. So it does work in 1 day. Love it!"
