For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I developed a YI from a steam room, I believe. I have gotten a few of them recently. I've taken the Monistat 1 day treatment with the 'evil egg,' and that made it unbearable - worst experience ever. I just sat in the tub and cried a little, lol. So when I developed another YI, I went to my doctor because I did not want to go through that again. She recommended the prefilled applicator 6.5 - THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE MONISTAT 1 CAPSULE... the itchiness is very mild and not nearly as gooey. BUY MONISTAT 1 PREFILLED 6.5 -- DO NOT BUY THE CAPSULE MONISTAT 1. The 6.5 is quick relief and doesn't torture your 'who-ha.' Best of luck, ladies!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my second YI. The first time, I used the 3-day but stopped after day 2 because I felt so much better. So this time, I decided to go with the 1-day to get it over with. I put it in right before bed and then, like so many others, read these terrible reviews. I braced myself for the worst and went to bed. I honestly didn't sleep very well because I was expecting to wake up in pain. But I didn't. No burning, minimal itching. I peed twice in the middle of the night and made sure to wipe back to front. My only complaint would be the discharge, though it's to be expected. Just used a panty liner and no big deal. Woke up in the morning, took a shower, and used the wipes, and I feel no symptoms. I think it's trial and error but no complaints from me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never write reviews, but after the horror stories I've read on here, I felt compelled to share my experience. I had already bought and inserted the ovule before reading any of these reviews, maybe a tad bit risky, but I live life on the edge. Lol. I used the product around 6:30 pm yesterday evening and have had none of the issues some of the ladies here have experienced. Thankfully, it's now the next day, and I feel nothing more than a cooling sensation down there. I didn't experience any burning, but just a small amount of itching a couple of hours after using Monistat, which was nothing I couldn't handle. It seems to really be doing what it's intended to do. This is my first YI, and overall, I'm very pleased with the results from using Monistat 1."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I, of course, like many unsuspecting victims, went to buy this product without reading the information/reviews on it first. Once injected, I read the reviews and, of course, freaked out due to all the negative comments. I used the Monistat one-day ovule, I was preparing myself for the worst discomfort, but all I got was some slight burning and itching, nothing unbearable. I had the discomfort for probably about an hour, and then it went away, and I already feel my symptoms disappearing. I'm not sure why some people on here had such bad reactions, but I just wanted to share my experience and say that it wasn't bad at all!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I looked into it, and burning from Monistat often occurs when you have an infection other than a yeast infection because the pH levels are different and cause a different reaction. Yeast infections don't change pH in this way. Use an infection screening kit from any pharmacy and make sure you only have a yeast infection before using Monistat. I had only a yeast infection and therefore experienced none of this itching or burning, just light cramps."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, listen here. It's really irritating reading about how 'it's burned so bad'! Lord have mercy, you have a YI, of course, it's going to burn! I applied, and yes, it burned, but understand that that just means that you have an infection that evidently needs to be cleared. Your vagina is infected, and imagine putting lemon on a cut and then later complaining, 'ahhhh, it burns'... okay, well, I applied around 10 pm, and it burned for a while, but the overall effectiveness was amazing. The itching was gone in less than 2 days. The other burning and discharge were gone within 3 days!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I used this same product in 2016. Now, fast-forwarding to 2019, I find the need to put my Vag through this hell. The Monistat causes itching, burning, and pain like no other, because it is constantly there with no ceasing. You will not sleep, concentrate, or be in a good mood while this extremely strong medication is doing what you paid to do - kill the yeast infection! I am literally writing this review as I am sitting under the massive discomfort of this medication. I don’t discourage anyone from using it, however, I put out a disclaimer: BEWARE! It will test your character, patience, tolerance, and soul! But it works, it will get rid of an itch, odor, and burning from YI. Time: It takes about 1-2 hours for the gelatin egg to dissolve, and the burning, itching, and discomfort to start. Length: This varies. Discomfort could last from 1 hour to eternity."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't use the external cream. My itching and burning have increased 1,000,000 times. It's unbearable. Now I'm reading these reviews and wish I had just called the doctor. But why does a product that's supposed to help with burning and itching make it worse?!?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 18 and experienced my first yeast infection a few days ago. I read the reviews here after I had already used the Monistat 1 and was terrified. Luckily, I have had great results. After 3 days of YI symptoms, I used Monistat 1 around midnight last night. I did experience some itching during the night, but it was totally manageable. I did not experience the intense burning/itching that others described, despite having sensitive skin. My skin was somewhat raw but not terrible before using the medication, which may have helped. The next morning, everything felt completely back to normal (besides discharge, which Monistat does say is normal), and the swelling has gone down almost entirely. Only some discharge 20 hours later. Really worked for me!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I guess our bodies do react differently. I was in excruciating pain with the swelling, the itching, and the burning from this yeast infection caused by antibiotics that I needed something fast! My husband bought me the Monistat 1 (first yeast, we weren't sure what to use). But this was the perfect treatment. Used it at night, right after a shower, and I felt so much comfort the morning after. I gotta say I was very surprised! I'm very satisfied with this product, well worth the $15. Do read the instructions. I used the cream applicator and (not that I want to, but) I would use it again. Fast relief for me. Thank you, Monistat!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product did work, but I'll NEVER use it again. I put it in and went to bed. I woke up about two hours later, and my vagina was burning/itching like nothing I've ever experienced. It felt like my v was on fire. Seriously! It was horrible. I tried to clean it all out. About one and a half hours later, the burning and itching went away. Yes, the product worked, but I burned/itched SO bad that I'll never use it again. Just call the Dr. and get a prescription. You'll thank me later."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG this stuff burns 100x worse than the YI! I inserted it about 15 mins ago and laid right down. I was so uncomfortable I would rather not have taken anything and just called my doc for a prescription. I DO Not Recommend! After the burning started, I wondered if this was normal, so I started looking for reviews. After reading through them, I decided I couldn't take the burning/itching anymore. I went to the toilet and pushed the gel out and wiped all the cream off. For a while, I just wanted to scratch with something sharp because it was a painful itch. Now I'm laying in bed with a cool wash cloth between my legs feeling a little bit better. Man, that was torture!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I've avoided this medication for so long because of these reviews. IDK if you other ladies are allergic to something in the medication or what, but my experience was fine! I get recurrent yeast infections, so I've tried everything under the sun except for Monistat. I've tried terconazole, clotrimazole, boric acid, gentian violet, etc. Once I inserted it, I was super itchy for like the first half hour to an hour, then everything calmed down and felt so soothing. I woke up just now and feel great! No itching, didn't experience any burning. IDK what all the negativity is about. I'll check back in a few days to see if my infection is cured! Have no fear, ladies :)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE WITH THIS PRODUCT!! I got a yeast infection after a round of antibiotics. I had only mild symptoms for about 4 days before I decided to treat. The only reason I treated was that I am about to be super busy at work and wanted to feel my best. I chose the 1-day treatment because why treat for 7 days what you can treat in 1? Big mistake. I inserted the ovule, no problem. As soon as I put in the 'itch relief' cream, the itching and irritation increased 1000%! I feel so much worse than I did before this treatment. It's ironic that the treatment I used so I could be my best at work will probably make me actually miss a day at work. The discomfort is almost unbearable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm turning 16 at the end of this month, and I had another yeast infection. I used Vagisil before, suggested by my doctor. This time, my mother went and picked up Monistat 1. In comparison, there was no burning or irritation once I applied the medicine. I would suggest wearing a pad and loose pants that you don't mind getting ruined, as suggested. However, I felt very uncomfortable about 4 hours after. It was a mixture of burning and itching, so I kept walking around my house and trying to get myself to ignore it. I eventually laid down and went to sleep. When I woke up, I felt completely better. There is still some irritation, but it isn't as bad as it was a few days ago. I would highly recommend it if you don't mind the slight side effects."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Girl, stop, if you're thinking about buying this, just stop and read these reviews. The burning and itching are far worse than your yeast infection could ever be. My only escape is reading these reviews to know I'm not suffering alone. I had to make a doctor's appointment to make sure I didn't ruin my entire vagina. I have to assume it's only time before a lawsuit or it's taken off the shelves because of the mass suffering to all these poor, innocent vaginas out there."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I inserted it at 9:50 p.m. It's now 10:12 p.m., and I wanna stab someone in the throat. It started itching and burning immediately. I'm about to jump out of my car window while on the freeway if this doesn't end. My vaginal area feels like I have fleas. I swear to God I will never, and I repeat, never use this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wanted to share my experience because I’m kind of shocked by the other reviews for Monistat 1. I worry that they could either unnecessarily scare someone who has already used it or keep someone from using it who could benefit from it and doesn’t otherwise have easy access to healthcare (like prescriptions). Yeast infections are uncomfortable, period. And the drug used in Monistat is powerful. That being said, it worked for me. I had a minor yeast infection and used Monistat 1. I continued to work out and go about my daily activities as usual. I was definitely a little uncomfortable, but certainly not even close to the point of needing to go to urgent care. After all, I recognize that this is a really strong antifungal treatment. For those who are more sensitive to pain and discomfort, I would highly recommend a 3 or 7-day treatment. Three days later, my symptoms are much better. While not 100%, I no longer have any burning or major itching."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My mom told me to try this to help my infection. I had no problem putting it in, it was just like a tampon. Everything was fine for the first hour, maybe 2 hours, but suddenly it has become so uncomfortably painful and itchy. I don't know how to make it stop!! :( I hope it ends up being worth this. (Honestly, the yeast infection wasn't this bad)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is horrible! I'm in so much pain! I put this egg in at about 9:30 pm, and it's now exactly 2:44 AM, and I cannot go to sleep! I feel the burning sensation, but it's itching like hell! I don't know what to do! Help!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy mother. Dying right now. I had moderate swelling and itching from the YI, placed this in at nighttime. The next time I had a bowel movement, the evil egg started to ooze out. My vagina has swollen AT LEAST twice its size. I feel like I'm being chemically burned. Goopy, which is fine - who cares... but the BURN AND THE SWELLING. I feel like this is worse than my YI. I just finished rocking back and forth naked, on all fours, on my bathroom floor. Prepare yourselves, ladies."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst idea I ever had! I bought this to treat my yeast infection instead of seeing the doc. It didn't only not work, it made everything hurt and burn 100x worse! I inserted the medication before going to bed and woke up about an hour after with the worst burning sensation I have ever experienced. It was a mix of intense itching and burning so strong I had a hard time breathing through it. The pill had dissolved and had started leaking out. I used the washroom and it was more pain on top of the pain I was already experiencing. It has been two days and the burning sensation is still there, and it hurts so bad to pee. Everything feels chapped down there and will have to visit the doc anyway. Do yourself a favor and just go to the doctor!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve read the reviews, and I have used this product before. Now, to clarify, I am a pretty impatient person, so I decided to use the Monistat 1. I’ve had the burning and itchiness, but I also realize that this, compared to the three or seven, is more concentrated. It sucks that it will cause that burning, but after clearing away the initial discharge, there was only a burning, and the itching was at a minimum. Just be aware that this is more concentrated, so there will be a stronger reaction. If you can handle the strength, you’ll be fine, if not, I would use the 7-day or go talk to your gynecologist."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I bought this tonight before I read reviews. I applied it, and 10 min later, I was in pain... I couldn't believe the itching and burning. I then started reading reviews, and I was like - what did I do? I was debating taking a shower and removing all cream or sticking it out while I did some research and watched Netflix. Well, after 40 min, I started to feel relief, and now it's very mild. Clearly, the medication for 1 day is way stronger, but I'm hoping that by tomorrow morning, I'll be much better. Now that the burning stopped, I can go to sleep. Ladies, good luck, and hope you feel better soon."
