For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Purchased the Monistat 1 Maximum Strength. This was my 1st time experiencing a YI, so I didn't realize I'd had it until 6 weeks after giving birth. Apparently, it was another side effect of giving birth that wasn't explained to me. I just thought it was normal & would naturally stop on its own until the common sense part of my brain thought that the itching & pain seemed abnormal. I told my GYN of my concern & was prescribed a pill that was supposed to rid my body of the YI within 3 days, but it only stopped the discharge. So I then started looking up over-the-counter meds & came across Monistat. So far, I'm so happy I did. I feel sooooooo much better. No burning, no more itching. I recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Inserted the devil's egg. 30 mins go by, and my vag is on fire. Intense itch with a burning sensation. The cream felt like it was making it worse. I took it around 8 pm and couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep until 2 am. Now, writing this, I am missing class because my vulva and vagina itself are raw. It hurts to walk or have any friction. I mean, it gets the itch, but once you itch, you want to itch some more, thus making it worse by having it burn at the same time. I'm totally at a loss right now. I would honestly rather die. Please pray for me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT BUY THIS. I am saving you!!! I was having yeast infection symptoms, took the 1-day pre-filled applicator, and woke up to a swollen vag. I've never felt like this in my life. Today is day 2 after using the medication, and I still don't feel normal. I am still itching. I did call the number on the box, and they requested to send me my money back! If this product did not work for you, please get your money back because this stuff is terrible. I'm so disappointed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, had a little itching and redness, so decided to save a trip to the gyno and bought Monistat 1 cream-filled application. I took it at 9:00 pm. Within minutes, I felt tingling and burning but thought that was part of the process. I fell asleep and awoke a few hours later because I felt like I had something in between my legs, and the pain and burning were so severe. Got a mirror and screamed, my VJ was the size of a pear! I looked deformed, like nothing I ever seen. It was swollen 10 times normal size. I was laying on the floor crying. I read about how many other women this happened to, and one suggested a douche with cold water. Try to get the cream out, although so much already absorbed into the vagina. Helped a little. BEWARE."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG!!!! I guess this medicine is just really strong.... I read a side effect could be itchiness.... Didn't expect this though.... Maybe 3 hours after I put it in, I noticed what kind of looked like the capsule came out extremely gooey, and right after I am itching so bad I don't know how to stand it. I can't even sleep.... I hope this goes away soon."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It is now 3:50 am. I am burning and itching worse than I EVER have with YI. I took the medicine at 11:30 pm and went to bed. I have been woken up by throbbing, stinging, and very intense itching three times now, and it’s work at 5 am. I am absolutely annoyed to the max! And so glad I read this because I almost went to the emergency room thinking this is not normal. I have had to strip down naked, and I don’t know when I will have any relief. I hope and pray that God will take this pain away long enough for me to sleep. Thank you, ladies, for the reviews, because without them I would be freaking out ten times more than I am. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, ladies, just to let you know, I tried the 1-day ovule. Inserted at night before bed, let me just say I had some intense itching and burning that lasted about 30 minutes, but then it went away. I think it's the meds working to kill off the infection. The meds will leak out gradually after you're moving around...but wear a panty liner or slim pad to catch it. The next day for me, no itching or burning. It worked for me! Now waiting a couple more days until the cream completely kills the yeast! I'm feeling good!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After ignoring the itching for 7 days, I finally used Vagisil anti-itch medicated wipes and the Monistat 1 treatment at around 7 p.m. About 3 hours after the initial application, I experienced a slight burning and warmth (the pain was minimal) in my groin and lower abdomen. The next morning, everything felt completely fine until I reapplied the cream. Two minutes later, I had extreme itching. I used a wipe, and the itching lessened. At 7 p.m. that night, I showered and used the wipe and the cream again. I experienced the same moderate burning and warmth. I continued to apply the wipe and then the cream every morning around 6 a.m. and every night around 7 p.m. The burning decreased in intensity with each application. All symptoms were gone by the end of the fourth day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a YI for about a week, through my period. Couldn't stand it anymore. Went and bought M1 because I'd tried M3 recently. Inserted and followed all directions... Then read reviews about 2 hours into it. I started to freak out about the burning and itching, but after two hours, not much I could do! It's now been 6 hours and I feel GREAT! No burning, no itching! Product worked AWESOME for me!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ugh.... I was on day 2 of a YI from antibiotics. Decided to try this because it worked great for my wife. Inserted the egg around 12 a.m. before bed, and now it's 2 a.m., and I am up with the most discomfort I have ever felt in my life. Burning and itching on the inside so much that it's making my skin crawl. I can't sleep, I can't relax, I am having to concentrate on my breathing so that I don't have a panic attack. I don't even know what to do.... I am hoping this goes away soon. I have to work tomorrow."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Because I have kidney problems and recurring kidney infections, I'm often prescribed antibiotics, causing frequent yeast infections. I use Monistat EVERY time I've gotten a YI. Yes, the burning and itching are intense, but I'd much rather have extreme symptoms for 1 day than itching and discomfort for a week from an untreated YI. I even go to work with the ovule in, it's not that much more intense than the YI symptoms alone. And no, I do not have a sitting-down job."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I had a YI, and I bought the Monistat 1 because I used the Monistat 3 before, and I wanted a quicker recovery. So I used it, and I started reading reviews and freaked out. But I had a great experience, only a little itching and tingling, which is normal because it's cleaning you out. Nothing like the other reviews. Just make sure you have a YI. I think the people who had bad reviews didn't have a YI and had some other bacterial infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought it yesterday and (thank God) only after inserting it I read the reviews.... I guess I'm one of the few with a good experience.... No burning, no itching... Just a little leak (which is normal)... I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!!.."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used it before bed and woke up in the middle of the night sobbing due to terrible itching and burning that was worse than the yeast infection itself. I cried myself back to sleep because literally nothing, the cream, the wipes, nothing would help. The next morning I immediately felt the difference and could tell that the yeast infection was gone. Although I've never felt anything worse than the feeling it gave me that night, I'd definitely recommend it and use it again myself if ever needed. It literally hurt like hell, but it definitely got rid of the infection overnight."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was having terrible itching when I woke up yesterday morning. Then I had an older, less white discharge. I knew right away it was a yeast infection. My boyfriend went to the store and bought me the Monistat 1 applicator. I put it in around 3:30 pm. By 6:50 pm, I went to go pee, the medicine came out when I wiped. When I went to lay down, it was burning really bad down there. Around 8 pm, the burning sensation wasn't too bad. I woke up this morning and have no symptoms and feel great. Hope it stays like this. Good luck, ladies! I do recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I posted the last review saying there was no burning but a lot of itching. Boy, did I speak too soon. The burning is so bad I've been holding my pee to avoid the fire. The itching seemed to have slightly calmed, but the burning is absolutely excruciating. I don't have kids, so this is by far the worst pain I've ever felt down there. It has now been about 32 hours since I inserted the egg. Worst decision of my life."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had slight discomfort, a little itching in the vaginal area. I purchased the Monistat and inserted the applicator around 1 am. When I woke up, I was in horrible pain. There is no longer an itch, but the worst burning sensation ever!!! Before, there was no discharge or redness, just slight swelling. Now it's burning, red, and there is discharge. Never using again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 1 ovule and definitely can appreciate previous posts. Itching and burning are always present with a YI. This product seems to be exacerbating the itching/burning. Hopefully, it will be worth it in the end. To those suffering with the increased itching: Benadryl. Take Benadryl. I will say this one more time because I know how desperate for relief we are when it feels like fire ants are attacking your vagina. Take Benadryl. It will significantly decrease, if not entirely eliminate the itching. If I come out on the other side sans YI, the itching will have been worth it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Have not had a yeast infection in years, but due to antibiotics, got one. Purchased the Monistat 1 egg with wipes, etc. Inserted the egg at 10 pm. Woke up at 2 am due to fire and itching in my lady parts! Used the cream and wipes with no relief. It is now 3:34 am, and it feels like I've been up for 5 hours. I cannot keep still due to the itching and burning. This is not okay. Should have read the reviews beforehand. Itching so bad, I may have more than one use for my backscratcher! Lol"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the second time I have used this product, and the first time was a breeze. I popped it in overnight, and the next morning woke up feeling fresh as a daisy. But this time I tried something a little different; instead of using it overnight, I used it during the day. (I don't suggest doing this.) Maybe an hour after application, intense burning and stinging occurred, but I took a really hot bath, and after, put a cold cloth on it, and it began feeling better. Don't let the scary side effects turn you away. I began feeling better in a couple of hours, and the YI goes away a lot quicker. I'd rather have a couple of hours of burning and itching rather than days!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read the reviews before purchasing but figured what the heck, everyone is different. I was wrong. I feel like a fire has started in my vag. I've had children without epidurals, and this is worse. The burning and itching are unreal. And to make matters worse, I'm allergic to the 'cool wipes' they give you in the package. Stay away and save your $20!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I always use the one that has the egg, and it always works great for me! I use it as soon as I start to feel the yeast infection coming on, which is why it never burns or itches for me. However, I've heard the reason it can sometimes feel like the devil himself is scratching your vagina is because your infection is more severe than what the egg is meant for, not the medicine's fault! It will still make it go away the next day, but you will go through hell first. So if you've waited too long, then try going to a doctor!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I just used the Monistat 1, and minutes after using it, I started getting this REALLY BAD itching and burning, and the only thing helping it not bother me as bad is to lay with my legs apart some. I hope this stuff starts working, I'm dying over here!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I applied this product last night, so I'm still in the process - however - these reviews are terrifying. I popped in the ovule and applied the cream. I was a little itchier for the next hour or so, but if I didn't move much, it was bearable. It started to subside, and I went to bed maybe 3 or 4 hours later. Woke up this AM, and I am so much better! I just survived my workday and had no discomfort! So - this was my first time with a yeast infection or Monistat product, and so far I am impressed - and, most importantly, not a single ounce of burning or pain. I only wish everyone had the same experience!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow! I wish I would have found these reviews before purchasing the Monistat 1-day treatment! I am currently laying in my bed with a freezing cold La Croix can on my crotch. Let me give you some backstory... I was on day 5 of my YI. After trying ACV, probiotics, yogurt, and garlic, I was fed up and ready to get this over with. I opted for the one-day treatment because why would someone pick the 7-day insertion when you can go for 1...? Well, I know why now. About 15 minutes after inserting 'the devil's egg,' my vagina really started to burn and itch, so I applied the cream because, well, I've already come this far. It made 20 times worse! I decided to call my gynecologist, and she said I'm likely allergic to the Monistat. I'm waiting on my prescription."
