Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Wegovy in March 2022 with a goal of losing 50-75 pounds. I ended up losing a total of 85 pounds in about 11 months. I felt great upon taking the Wegovy. Only had mild headaches and mild stomach discomfort. I was not tired, I actually felt energized. However, by December, the nausea had reared its ugly head. I took Zofran, and it helped. I was able to stick it out with the nausea until February, at which time I stopped taking it. I could no longer live with the nausea. Since I stopped taking it, I have continued to suffer nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain. My doctor and I are still trying to find the source of this continuing issue. I love the weight loss, and I love Wegovy!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking this 3 weeks ago. I didn’t really have any terrible side effects other than fatigue, but after my third injection, nausea, diarrhea, and stomach pain hit me with a vengeance. I feel like I ate rotten eggs. I’m not sure I want to continue taking this. I might try injecting it in my thigh like some others have tried. I hope it works because my glucose readings have been in the 90s to 120."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Went from 3 mg to 7 mg to 14 mg. At 14 mg, severe abdominal pain and nausea. Went back to 7 mg. Not as bad as the 14 mg level, but still have some nausea and stomach pain to a lesser degree."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Lots of stomach pain, gas, lots of nausea. This occurs before eating on a lot of occasions. Also, lots of symptoms of GERD after increasing dose from 0.5 to 1 mg. Ozempic does work for my diabetes, but the cost is high. I was given this as a cardiac-friendly medicine, but the GERD and excessive bathroom and stomach issues get the heart worked up."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Been on Ozempic for 2 years. Now I experience stomach problems and gastro problems. Stomach pain, nausea, acid and bile issues. Diarrhea, gas, burping all the time. I think it's taking a toll on my body. It sucks. There are times I can't even function. I'm lost now. Sick of being sick."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First dose 0.25mg, had slight stomach pain/discomfort. Later that same night, my appetite disappeared. Just seeing a fast-food commercial on TV made me feel nauseous. I thought if that's the worst of the side effects that affect me, then I'll be very happy with that. By the next day, stomach pain and nausea increased. By 4:00 am, BAM! Diarrhea, severe stomach pain, projectile vomiting, headache, chest pain, severe itching mainly on the palms of my hands and arms. I truly thought 'this must be what it feels like to be poisoned!' I was scared. It is now the next day and I feel fine. A little tired from lack of sleep from feeling so sick. I think I will do my second dose next week...but I'm quite nervous of a repeat of feeling like I was dying from the stomach pains and vomiting. Will I continue with this drug?...jury is still out! On the positive side, I've already lost 5 pounds; but of course, I can't & don't want to eat, too much nausea and vomiting."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My A1c's were between 6.4 and 6.9 before Ozempic, and they are staying the same. However, stomach pain is constant, and so is diarrhea as well. I'm on 1.0 mg, and it's very easy to do the injection. I use my stomach every week. I wish I would lose weight, but I only do when I get really sick and can't eat."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started on Rybelsus almost 2 months ago. At first, it did not bother me except for the diarrhea. I'm on 7 mg a day now, and I feel awful. No energy, severe stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea. Cannot even walk a short distance without starting to throw up. Calling my doctor to see if I need to go back on the 3 mg instead."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic since the middle of October 2022. My A1C was 14+ when I first started this journey, by the end of November, my A1C was 7.2. I thought that this was a miracle drug. On December 17th, I woke up with severe pain in my left thigh, swelling, and sensitivity to touch. I thought it was my knee, I saw a surgeon who said no and sent me to the back surgeon, they said no. After multiple trips to the ER, no one could figure out what was wrong with me. I eventually went to a pain management doctor. He sent me to the neurologist who did a nerve study test and finally diagnosed me a little over a week ago with diabetic amyotrophy-a treatment-related illness. This is the worst pain of my life. I've had chest pain and stomach pain, the severe pain at night, I called them night terror pain because they are so severe that I would wish to die. I am told 1% of diabetics are diagnosed with this disease. It is due to a rapid decline in A1C. I do not know how I got to be a part of the lucky 1%."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My daughter is special needs, and her doctor put her on 3 mg, then 30 days later 7 mg. I could tell it hurt her stomach after dinner. But it did help her eat less. After 2 months, her A1C is still high. The doctor put her on 14 mg. She's still eating less and has lost 5 lbs. But her sugar levels are still too high. And she's had diarrhea a couple of days a month. She's on month two of 14 mg. If her sugar stays up after this 2nd month on 14 mg, I'll take her off."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "On week 4 now, honestly, the first 2 weeks were a nightmare. Doctors don’t tell you to stay away from fatty foods and not to overeat. If they did, I wouldn’t have had the most horrible sulfur burps that made my eyes water, projectile vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain, not to mention constant nausea even during the night. I finally figured out not to eat too much and to avoid fatty foods completely! This was a game changer, and now I’m doing okay. I've lost 21 pounds so far, which is mad, but mostly because in 2 weeks I’ve eaten probably 4000 calories. I’m back to wanting to eat again but have to control myself or face the terrible consequences. Blood sugars are all over the place, as you can imagine, however, insulin sensitivity is way better. It just takes time to get used to. Hope this helps."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have taken Ozempic, 1 injection of .25 on Feb 1st, 2020. I have had diarrhea ever since: nausea, gastritis (inflamed stomach), reflux, stomach pain (can't touch my stomach), dizzy, tired all the time, had to call an ambulance as I almost passed out, shaky, dehydrated from going to the washroom so often. I was in bad shape, and I live on my own. Supposed to take this needle again tonight, don't think this is going to happen."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Ozempic now for three months. I started at 0.25, felt somewhat nauseous, not terrible. Then increased to 0.5 and again, not terrible. I also take Synjardy. I then went to 1 mg and that’s when the trouble started. I was at first getting sick maybe twice a week. But I lost weight and my A1C came down. But I noticed I was, after a while, getting bad stomach pains and constipated and/or the opposite. The worst was how many times I was getting sick. It went from possibly twice a week to two or three times every other day. And without warning, I would be driving, and it would hit me. So I called my doctor and asked to be decreased back down to 0.5. I did not want to get off it because I know it’s been helping. I do still get nauseous and sick sometimes, but not nearly as bad as at 1 mg. My appetite has decreased a lot to where I might only eat twice a day."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The first four days have been really rough. I’ve experienced nausea, vomiting, severe heartburn, and stomach pain. I really want this to work, so I’ll continue. The doctors have had to prescribe nausea and vomiting medicine. It helps. I’m taking Alka-Seltzer for the heartburn. I’m really hoping the side effects will stop."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Been taking this for about 10 weeks for high sugar levels that must come down. Started off with a low dose, and up to 1 mg now. I inject in the leg as others said fewer reactions by doing it that way. Take Metamucil every day to avoid bowel issues. Sometimes my stomach does hurt. No serious side effects and not much noticeable weight loss. If this can lower my sugar level to normal range, it will be a success."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 8 weeks now (0.5 mg dose). I had occasional nausea, but this week I had diarrhea, vomiting, gas, nausea, and stomach pain. Thank goodness I was able to work from home, otherwise, I would have had to call out. I thought I had the stomach flu, but now I wonder if it's the medication. I am supposed to move up to the 1 mg in two days, but I am scared to. I took Ozempic for two months, and the only side effect I had was horrible heartburn, but it was very difficult to get, so I had to switch. I am contemplating not taking this anymore. I can handle some nausea, but to be so sick you can't function is a whole other thing. And I have not lost any weight."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Have been taking the low dosage for 2 weeks now. I have no appetite and have dropped about 7 lbs during that time. The problem is constant GI pain. No nausea, just never-ending constipation and gut pain. I am taking myself off this until I can find an alternative. The weight loss is nice, but the pain just isn’t worth it."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My experience so far is positive: 21 lbs down in 8 weeks. First, 4 weeks on .25 mg was great, no side effects. Weeks 5 and 6 were also good, slightly uncomfortable stomach but not bad, weeks 7 and 8, with 7 being not so bad. Then week 8, I had more stomach pain for a few days and didn’t have much of an appetite. Constipation is a real thing on this medication. Also, I am having a fast heart rate and seem to be a slight case of anxiety. Although I am experiencing some side effects, I am not giving up yet. I think for me, staying on a lower dose might be best. The .25 mg does work with fewer issues."
