For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Halfway through the 1.7mg dose. Been on for about 4.5 months. Have lost a total of 35 pounds. My weight loss has slowed down since on the 1.7 dose. Still losing but not as quickly as in the beginning. Have no real interest in food anymore. Sometimes have to eat when not hungry due to low blood sugar (had this prior to Wegovy use). Been trying to lose weight for months. Wegovy is the only thing to work for my obesity due to medical issues. Have noticed off and on fatigue, dizziness, constipation, stomach pain, gas, belching, and hair loss. Can no longer eat fried, greasy food without feeling sick, which is good. Now I want healthy food instead."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in my sixth week of Wegovy (4 weeks at 0.25 and now 2 at 0.5). I am a male in my early 50s, 5'9'' with a lot of weight to lose — about 120 pounds. In the first month, I experienced no side effects apart from reduced appetite and lost 10 pounds. I had just begun dieting when I started — nothing extreme, just eliminating the worst offenders: sugar, not eating after 6pm, and portion control. I have already lost 6 pounds this month. I have experienced some mild nausea this month on the 0.5 dose, nothing close to vomiting but definitely present, especially the two days after injection. Haven't had negative reactions to specific types of food like others have had until yesterday. Had some Korean BBQ and was burping garlic all night with some intestinal discomfort - so I guess that's a no go. I am considering holding at this dose before going up again. As long as the weight loss is happening at this rate, I am not keen to risk greater side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Horrible experience. I only took 2 dosages because I had difficulty functioning with headaches, eye pain, nausea, dizziness, and overall feeling awful. The additional issue is I've been off the drug for a week and can't get rid of the symptoms. I'm nauseous every day, with headaches, and dizziness. How long until all of this goes away?"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am finishing my 8th week on Wegovy. I have lost 17.1 pounds and feel amazing. I was afraid to start because of the side effects, but so far, I have been lucky and haven't had them. The best thing about Wegovy is the fact that my mind is no longer full of obsessive thoughts about food. I have lost weight a million times, but this is the first time I am aware that I am NOT thinking about food all the time. I eat really reasonable portions of food and am satisfied. No desire for extra food or snacks. It is absolutely a miracle."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I was very frightened after reading the reviews. I am 52 and had gained from 130 pounds to 158, the most I have ever weighed in my life. Started the 3mg 3 weeks ago and have lost 10 pounds with no side effects other than occasional slight nausea. My appetite has decreased but for the better. I am walking 3 miles a day and eating very healthy. Stopped drinking soda, now only flavored water. I consider this a miracle. Never lost weight this quickly. Happy as heck. Will continue the 3 mg and recheck A1C. So far this rocks. If it enables me to get in control of my eating and lose to a healthy weight to better my overall health, then I call it a huge success. Love, love, love it!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Worst medication ever. On the lowest dose, I became deathly ill. I couldn't stop vomiting for a week. I could not walk because of extreme dizziness, and I could barely see from blurry vision. It also gave me the worst migraine of my life and suicidal thoughts and depression. I only lost weight because I could not eat at all and couldn't keep liquids down, so I was severely dehydrated. The side effects and long-term effects are so severe that the minor weight loss you would have from this medication is not worth it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy on 1/31/2023 at 224 lbs. As of today, 5/2/2024, I am at 154 lbs. I have had minimal side effects. I do not have cravings and no longer do I think about what I am going to eat next. I work out 3-4 days a week but did that prior to starting Wegovy. On 0.25, I lost 6 lbs. On 0.5, I lost 3 lbs. In the first 4 weeks of 1.0, I lost 6 lbs. In the second 4 weeks, I lost 3 lbs. In my first 4 weeks of 1.7, I lost 7 lbs and in my second 4 weeks, I lost 2 lbs. I started 2.4 on 7/17/2023, and on that, I have lost 39 lbs. Some weeks the weight loss was larger than others, but there was always weight loss. I have no complaints and would recommend anyone to speak to their doctor if they are interested. We are all different, and for some people, it works and for some, it does not. Some people have terrible side effects, and some don't."

For Type 2 Diabetes "When I first started the 3mg of Rybelsus, the nausea for the first 3 weeks was nearly unbearable. However, like magic, around day 21, it stopped. I don’t feel as full as I did at the beginning now that I’m starting my second month of 7mg. However, I continue to lose weight with diet and exercise. If you’re struggling at the beginning - hold on for 30 days - it might pass like it did for me!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have tried them all! I was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 18, and I will be 40 this September. When I say I have tried them all, it’s no exaggeration, but my search stops here! This medicine has done in a couple of weeks what I have been trying to do all my adult life! My blood sugar is perfect! I actually look forward to testing my sugars throughout the day. The other day, I cheated and had a slice of caramel cheesecake. Normally, this would spike my blood sugars well over 250, but when I tested my sugar one hour after consumption, I was at 132! It only got lower as the night went on! This is some good stuff! I am so happy my doctor recommended this for me! I’m in love! I’m finally optimistic about my future with this dreadful disease."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My husband began taking Ozempic for his Type 2 diabetes several months ago and experienced minimal unpleasant side effects. His food consumption is down approximately 2/3 (no more 'first breakfast and second breakfast' and 'first dinner and second dinner') and he has been able to reduce his diabetes medications. He has been steadily losing excess weight. A bonus is the chronic loose stools he used to suffer have been eliminated. I started taking Ozempic for my Type 2 diabetes 6 weeks ago. My food consumption is down significantly and I've been able to discontinue all other diabetes medications. I've had some slight nausea and a mild bit of constipation, both of which have been easily alleviated through dietary changes (much smaller meals, more fiber and more spicy food). We absolutely love this medication."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First, I wanted to say... I was TERRIFIED to start Wegovy because of all the negative reviews about side effects, but I convinced myself to focus on the positive reviews which outweighed the negative ones. I started Wegovy 3 weeks ago at 0.25 mg. I will be taking my 4th dose of 0.25 mg this week. I usually take it on Fridays around 9:30 pm so I can sleep off any side effects and then relax on the weekend. So far, I have experienced mild side effects on the second day after the first and second shot - nausea, light headache, a little dizziness, and dry mouth that lasted for maybe 1 to 2 hours. Side effects were manageable with Motrin/Tylenol and Pepto Bismol. I haven't had any major side effects. I weighed 210 when I started, and I weighed 199.5 this morning, so that's almost 11 pounds down in 3 weeks. I am happy I decided to not let the negative reviews discourage me from trying Wegovy. All I wanted to see was a weight under 200 pounds! I will start 0.5 mg in 2 weeks - will update again."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Took it for 8 weeks, made it through the 2nd titrated dose and couldn't handle it anymore. Nausea, gas, bloat, constipation, diarrhea, and it was worse at night while lying down. Never improved, but actually got worse by week 8. Not sure how anyone makes it to the full dose. Also did not drop a single pound. There were days I only consumed 600 calories and still felt awful. I read another review very similar and agree that you absolutely cannot eat anything spicy. Bland food days were better but there are not enough antacids and constipation meds in the world to make me want to lose 20 pounds this badly. Took my last dose 10 days ago and am still dealing with residual GI upset. Hope physicians are more forthcoming about the side effects and do not tell patients they happen but subside in a couple of days - they do not."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I've been using Ozempic for 18 months. A1c has dropped from 8.1 to 6.0. Weight dropped from 195 lbs to 157 lbs. Minor side effects for the first two weeks. I dropped most of the weight within 4 months and my A1c went down to 6.3 in those 4 months. My doctor decided to take me off Ozempic after 6 months to see if I'd stabilized, but within 4 weeks, my A1c was back in the upper 7s. I'm staying on Ozempic for now. Great medication but a ridiculous price."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started June 11, 2024, at 194 lbs. At 1 month, lost 10 lbs. At 7 weeks, am down 17 lbs. I've tried to lose this weight for over a year now. I am a 59-year-old female at 5’4”. The first shot had a little upset stomach for a day or two, but not bad. I would highly recommend this drug. First time I have had hope to reach my goal weight."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Started April 1, 2021, on Ozempic low dose. 3-week intervals it was increased. Side effects were constipation (went on laxatives to help), pain in my back (severe), bloating. Week 11 increased to 1mg, the side effects were major bloating, diarrhea, sounds in my stomach (crazy), nauseous, feeling under the weather. My appetite has decreased to the point that I only eat 2 meals a day that are small. My sugar levels have decreased from 7.1 to 5.2 A1C. I’ve noticed that I have been kept awake some nights like I’m nervous for some reason. In the first 3 weeks, I’ve lost 15 pounds. Haven’t checked since I want to wait but can feel a difference. The pains in the stomach are really uncomfortable, and the bloating I will try gas-x for relief. When I try to eat more than I should, my body tells me that I’m full. If I go beyond that point, I get severe pains in the stomach for hours. But depends on what I eat. Going to stay with smaller portions/healthier foods."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Ozempic since 12/22. I was put on this injectable drug due to obesity, high cholesterol, and borderline high blood pressure plus pre-diabetic. I have lost 30 lbs. so far. I am more than pleased that my cholesterol is now 180 from 270 on medication. I have never been below 200 total cholesterol in my life! I have had no symptoms taking Ozempic except a little indigestion the first month. It is very convenient to use (inject once a week), and the needle is so thin (less than a hair) you don’t even feel it. I had tried every diet, exercise, and fasting to lose weight and get my cholesterol under control. Ozempic is the only thing that has worked."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began Wegovy in late August '21. I had bariatric surgery in 2000. Menopause, major life changes, and COVID resulted in a 60 lb weight gain over 5 years. It's May 1, and I've lost a total of 81 lbs. My BMI has gone from 38 to 25, and I never got to the 2.4 injection. I had slight nausea and 2 incidents of gastrointestinal uncertainty ('sharts') the first 2 weeks, but nothing after that. I walked 1.5 - 2.0 miles 6 or 7 days weekly, ate a high-protein, low-carb diet, switched to 50/50 Stevia/Sugar as a sweetener, and ceased eating after 8 pm nightly. I feel great, and because of my weight loss, I can delay my other hip replacement. Wegovy gave me a second chance at better health, and I'll continue to use it for maintenance."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I can’t hold this back anymore as this medication has changed my life. For years I have been overweight, spent a lot of money buying tabs, shakes, diet plans, personal trainers... you name it. My life was bad, low self-esteem. As a nurse for over 15 years, this was very bad for me. I have been taking Ozempic for 7 months now and have lost 5st. It works like magic. I still have to watch what I eat, drink a lot of water, and try to do minimum exercises. Ozempic changed my life."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took Wegovy for a few months and did, in fact, lose some weight. The side effects are terrible, as so many others have noted here. One thing that they don’t tell you is that the drug slows down the stomach's ability to empty. This is why people feel full and experience reflux, nausea, etc. In my case, the drug not only slowed down my stomach's ability to empty, it permanently paralyzed my stomach muscles, a condition called gastroparesis. The only remedy was to have a neurotransmitter implanted in my stomach, which forces the muscles to move. Do NOT take or first this medication. You could end up like me with a lifetime medical issue. No weight loss is worth that."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My health wasn't good, so I fired the nurse practitioner I was seeing and got an internist doctor. Found out my thyroid was almost non-functional, high blood pressure, and my pre-diabetes rate was on a serious climb. 1 year later, I was at the right dose of Synthroid. Doctor put me on metformin and phentermine, and added Ozempic 2 weeks later at 0.25. That was a rough ride, I was nauseated and dizzy a lot! I started at 265 lbs, and every day I would see a pound or 2 come off. As of this morning, I weighed in at 239, and I'm up to 1 mg dose of Ozempic weekly. I take the anti-nausea now just before my Ozempic dose, and that's it. I use doTERRA ginger. A1C down to 5! I'm glad I listened to my doctor and my pharmacist and stuck with it. Anything worth having doesn't usually come easy! I would like to get down to the 160-170 range, I'm 5'11'', and thinner than that, I start to look like Olive Oyl! OH Popeye!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm on my 13th week at 1mg now. I love it. Yes, I was nauseated at first, but the quick weight loss results made me want to continue. At this dosage, I am not really hungry for food, and if I do feel hungry, it doesn't take much food for me to feel satisfied. I have really cut my portions and also use high fiber, high protein foods. Constipation is real, people, laxatives help. I make good food choices now and am down 25 lbs. I want to keep going, but the coupon has run out, and now my out-of-pocket cost with insurance is around $900. I am so disappointed to have to stop and worried about gaining back or not losing anymore. Novo really needs to make this affordable. The price is ridiculous, and millions of people are dying from comorbidities to obesity every day. I have high-end insurance, and still cannot afford the copays."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Wegovy since August 2021. I am down 45 pounds. I did low carb with this which has really helped me to lose the weight I have wanted to lose. The side effects are very real, extreme constipation and nausea for two days after injection. The doctor prescribed Zofran for the nausea and I have taken a stool softener for the constipation. All things said, it really helped curb my appetite. But you have to diet with it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just finished the last shot of 2.4 mg pack. I’ve lost 27 pounds and literally do not think about food. No cravings, and I eat normally (albeit smaller amounts). Some side effects at the beginning but nothing terrible and they all eventually stopped. If you can afford it - this is a life changer."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My doctor put me on Rybelsus in March/April 2020. I will admit the nausea was pretty bad for about the first month, but I stuck to it because it was really working well on my blood sugar. Since I started, I have lost 42 lbs! I have not been dieting, but I do have some outdoor projects that required physical labor, like shoveling dirt, clearing brush, moving stones, etc. The nausea only comes back when my sugar is low and I really need to eat. I don’t even get a growling stomach anymore. I would recommend Rybelsus to anyone looking to manage their blood sugar and lose some weight."
