For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "57-year-old on this for 3 1/2 weeks. I'd like to tell you how much I lost (was 4 pounds at 3 weeks), but I am so constipated for 4 days I cannot be sure what my real weight is (it could be 6 pounds now). Get a telemedicine provider to send you a vial of semaglutide (not the pre-loaded syringes) and use an insulin syringe to administer 1/2 the dose on one day with an ODT Zofran, then take the second half of the dose 24 hours later with another ODT Zofran. I administer in my outer thigh, like you would give insulin. The provider will tell you exactly how many 'units' to administer per week, just cut it in half, say Saturday and Sunday. Take a stool softener on Sunday, which I forgot to do this week! I have had zero gastrointestinal issues, no nausea, no vomiting. The Zofran may be causing some of the constipation, and I don't consider this a real issue, just a minor side effect with an easy fix. I am a Nurse Practitioner, so I have been watching everything for real side effects. I'll update."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Drug has been life-changing. When I began, I was 6'3'' and 357 lbs. Today is exactly 4 months in, and I'm down 60 lbs exactly. Blood pressure meds cut in half, discontinued Lasix and potassium pills. Currently taking 2.4 mg/weekly. My side effects have been relatively non-existent. Early on, some gastro upset and heartburn, but all went away with time."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "For me, it is a miracle drug! I have had no side effects and have been on it since December 2021. I was trying other medications that helped a little, but I was stuck teetering between 190-195 and could not pass that. As soon as I started Wegovy, the weight started to come off. I am now right around 160, and I am close to my goal. I am also 60 years old, which makes weight loss even more difficult. I highly recommend this treatment!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy on 05/01/23. I weighed 312 lbs and I'm only 5'8" tall. As of 01/01/24, I am down 80 lbs and still going. I've had no side effects and my plan is to lose 125 lbs. The shot is painless and easy to inject. I honestly feel like I lost a whole person. My A1C went from 6.4 to 5.2. I recommend Wegovy to anyone who needs to lose weight..."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My doctor gave me Ozempic 0.5 to start with. I always had upset stomach, diarrhea with most foods, and an overall sick feeling all the time. I was able to 'live' with it until now. She decided to up my dose to the 1.0 and my body went into total chaos. I am always nauseous, constipated, got reflux, feels like my food is stuck in my stomach and doesn't go anywhere. I'm constantly burping and feeling bloated. The sick feeling feels intensified and I cannot function at work. I took my last one this past Friday night and was miserable all weekend long. Today I am at work unable to function at my best because the nausea is bad. I would say it is effective in lowering your blood sugar numbers and helping you lose weight but not worth feeling horribly sick over. I will not be using this medication any longer."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started 3 weeks ago, and every Monday I inject myself with a 0.25 mg dose. I started this medication because at age 47, even though I tried so hard to exercise and diet, my weight was a roller coaster ride and I would bounce back to my heaviest weight. My weight when I started was 170 lbs, which was 3 weeks ago. After a week, I am down to 159 lbs, then the second week 157 lbs. I weighed myself yesterday and I am down to 155 lbs, that's 15 lbs less. The first week I had a little heartburn, and the second week I was a little dizzy because you can go a day without being hungry at all. By the end of the second week, I had no side effects at all. I am surprised that again I can go a day without being hungry at all, but of course, I force myself to eat something, even with food, I will eat but will be so full easily. I take protein shakes daily as my meal replacement. I'm taking fiber (gummies) so I can go to the bathroom with no problem, and it helps a lot. Overall, I am pretty happy with the result."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was prescribed Wegovy for weight loss purposes. I’m 5’11, 225 pounds, with a BMI of 31%, so I can be considered obese. I’ve been on it for one week and have lost 7 pounds. I’m starting with the lowest dosage (0.25). First of all, the injection was completely painless (for me). I also inject Humira bi-weekly, so maybe I’m just used to it, but I was shocked to feel absolutely nothing. I questioned if I was doing it right, it was so painless. Do not let some testimonials scare you! I did a lot of research while waiting for the drug to come back into stock. 90% of what I read were complaints about vomiting, diarrhea, some people getting so sick they had to go off of it. Some of these reviews were written after only a week or two of the drug usage. So far, my personal experience has been completely different than what I’ve read. That could change as I go up in dosage. As of right now, the only side effect I’m experiencing is a complete lack of appetite."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Wegovy for a little over a month now. My first injection of the 0.5mg dose was on Friday (3/24/23). The weight loss has been fairly slow but steady. The main thing that I've noticed is that it makes me feel full after I eat. I know it sounds strange, but for some reason, I've never felt hungry or full-I ate when people told me and didn't stop eating until my plate was clean since I was a kid. Now, after I eat a bit, I feel full and stop eating. I've learned to be choosier with what I eat, opting for healthy things, protein and fiber, and less fat and carbs. No crazy fad diets or anything, just being more mindful. My injections are on Fridays, and I've noticed that Sundays are the worst days, but after 2 weeks on a dose, the side effects are pretty minimal. Just started the 0.5mg dose and so this past Sunday was bad, but my doctor gave me a PRN script for Zofran to help with nausea. I hope this review helps someone."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking Rybelsus 3mg. I was nauseous at first and constipated. I was also belching a lot. After 2 weeks, that seemed to stop. I've been on the 7mg for 17 days and the nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, and now diarrhea have been almost unbearable and are getting worse. I've also started feeling panicky and anxious in the middle of the night with rapid heartbeat. I'm stopping the 7mg tomorrow and calling my doctor. I can't feel like this at Christmas. Going to see if she will put me back on 3mg. My A1C was 9.0. I have no idea what it is now. I've also lost 18 lbs because I can barely eat anything. This isn't worth it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy last month. Did all 4 doses of the 0.25 and took my first 0.50 yesterday. The first 0.25 injection I was vomiting and had a headache, but it only lasted one day. No other issues. As far as weight, I am 5'5'' and at my doctor's appointment I weighed my highest ever at 195 lbs! After the 4 doses of the 0.25, I am already down to 180 lbs! I am not exercising. Wegovy cut my appetite so much that I literally had to force myself to eat; I'm not complaining though! So now that I have started on the 0.50, I'm interested in seeing if I continue to drop. 15 lbs is a huge loss in one month on the 0.25 and I know it isn't typical, but it really has been a great experience for me. I will update next month after I take my last dose of the 0.50. I would definitely recommend Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I tried everything, almost getting gastric sleeve surgery. Thanks to my cardiologist, even my heart is fine, he doesn't want to give me clearance for the operation. He recommended Wegovy. I think this is the best decision I ever made. I started on November 2nd, 2023, and until now, December 20th, I have lost an incredible 30 pounds. I now eat only two times a day. I used to eat lots of sweet stuff, but not anymore. No more late eating. I eat very small portions and I feel full all day. I love you, Wegovy, it's real. I am on a 1mg dosage. I was 331 pounds and now I am 301 pounds, with a goal to lose 40 more pounds by July. Good luck everyone, there's a chance because of Wegovy."

"I was put on this medication by my internist at the beginning of 2020 for weight loss. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which causes insulin resistance despite the fact that I'm not diabetic. It makes it extremely hard to lose weight. My doctor thought I would be a good candidate for Rybelsus and had seen success with others. I lost almost 30 pounds in two months while taking Rybelsus and going to the gym 3 times a week. However, I had to stop going to the gym during the pandemic and continued the medication. I started having severe gastrointestinal issues about a month ago. I had to have an EGD, HIDA scan, and ultrasound done to discover I have gallstones. My gallbladder is functioning perfectly though and my cholesterol is always good so all signs point to the fact that Rybelsus gave me gallstones. Gallstones are an 'infrequent yet severe side effect' listed by the drug manufacturer. BEWARE! I never had these issues until I started taking Rybelsus!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Ozempic for about 4 weeks now. Started at 0.25mg, now onto 0.5mg. The only mild side effect I have is the sulfur burps, other than that, I don't really have any. The odd sick feeling, but it's not too strong. This medication has cut the sugar cravings in half to non-existent, therefore, I have lost a bit of weight, which is noticeable. Food habits are now also non-existent. I feel fuller for longer. This drug is amazing, and to only inject once weekly is fabulous! I do recommend Ozempic highly. I held a lot of weight around my stomach, which is now starting to shift. To me, it's been a life-changer, and I hope anyone considering it has the same experience as myself. GL x"

"I suffer from bulimia and binge eating. It’s amazing the potential of this medication that should really be looked at. I’m maybe 15 pounds overweight, but the obsession I had with food was unreal. Just constantly thinking about it, hiding, overeating, controlling, and throwing up when overeating. I have no side effects on Ozempic at all. I mistakenly started at 1 mg because I didn’t know how to click. No nausea, no other issues whatsoever, but I know people that couldn’t tolerate it. Yes, I lost a little weight, but mostly I stopped caring about snacks, carbs, or sweets. I eat when tired and need energy or when it’s been long enough, I don’t go crazy when I see food. It's saved my mind so much. I just live now and do not have a million thoughts in my head about bingeing because it’s there or hiding so no one sees how much I can eat."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been on Wegovy for 7 weeks. Lost 14 pounds. 2nd week into 0.50 mg. It’s a little rough on my stomach. Taking prescription for nausea which happens the day of the injection. Feel tired and occasionally get severe abdominal pains. I can’t eat much and have to really watch the types of food. No greasy foods or spicy or heavy. The intestinal pains were very severe after eating wrong foods. I’m happy with the weight loss but the side effects are rough."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for almost 7 weeks and have lost over 22 lbs. From the moment I took the first injection, the food noise was gone. At times, it feels like progress is slow, but in truth, the progress has been steady. I have not started dieting or exercising, I am focusing on eating healthier and listening to my body for signs that I am full. I have heard of bad side effects, though I personally have not experienced any. Prior to this medication, I have lost, gained, and relost 50-100 lbs over and over again."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Since starting Ozempic, all my numbers have gotten considerably better. I did have nausea for several months, but I took medicine to counteract the nausea, and now I’m feeling much better. My appetite has been cut in half. I have lost a total of 40 lbs so far, and I couldn’t tell you the amount of inches I have lost, it seems that I lost inches first and then weight. I have started going to the gym. My advice to anyone starting Ozempic is to stop eating as soon as you get that first feeling of being full, don’t try to finish the plate just because you don’t want to waste food because it will make you sick if you force yourself to eat it all."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I went to my doctor to talk about my weight at 59, 247 pounds, bra size 40J. Was going to get a reduction. Started with 0.25 mg and I am up to 1 mg now. I have lost 60 lbs and am at 187. Still get cramps every now and then. Going to try injecting it into my leg. Bra size 33G. Off 2 pills, have energy and self-esteem again. It's a miracle."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Dr. ordered 3mg 30 days ago to be added to Metformin 2000mg. Blood sugars have decreased from a range of 200-350 to 120-150. Weight reduced by 14 pounds. I experienced nausea and fullness for the first two weeks. That has tapered off but appetite suppression has continued. After a month, the doctor is pleased with the results, as am I. He has ordered me to continue on the 3mg and my insurance has agreed to cover it with a copay I can afford. I am so grateful for this new med!"

For Chronic Kidney Disease "I have been on Ozempic for the past 1 1/2 months. Gradually increased from 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg since then. After reading other reviews, the best tip I found was injecting into my thigh instead of the abdomen. Mild nausea, backache, and constipation the first 2 weeks, and nothing now but the feeling of fullness soon after eating, about 75% as much as usual. I have less interest in sugary or fried foods and have lost 12 pounds, about 2 pounds a week. At 74, my Type 2 diabetes is diet-controlled with good A1C's, so my primary use is for weight loss and preserving kidney functioning. The tiny 27 gauge needle is painless, just wish I had discovered Ozempic sooner!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "With just one 0.25 mg dose, I became very ill. Relentless nausea, vomiting, and explosive diarrhea, as well as unbearable stomach cramps. Needed to go to the ER for fluids and to check for pancreatitis. It’s now been 9 days since my first dose, and I still have relentless diarrhea, nausea, and disabling fatigue. I don’t want to eat. I didn’t want to take it in the first place but was ambushed by my kidney doctor. She told me that using Ozempic was a no-brainer and that I would just have a bit of nausea. If you have any gastrointestinal symptoms when taking any medicine, I would think three times about it before using it. I have read it can take up to a month for it to be flushed out of your body, but I am hoping and praying that these horrible side effects stop real soon."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I've been on Ozempic for just over a week now as part of a physician-run weight loss program. I was told to expect some GI upset, but I had no idea it would be this bad. Seven days after taking it, I started with diarrhea. One day after injection number 2 (2.5mg), I was up all night with diarrhea, nausea, severe reflux, belching, and eventually vomiting. Medications like Pepto can't seem to touch it. I am going to talk to the doctor next week and see what he thinks. I really don't think it is worth this kind of suffering."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 3rd 0.25 dose of Wegovy. I feel terrible most of the time. I have lost 5 lbs and am definitely not hungry due to nausea. My prescriber will not prescribe Zofran with Wegovy because she feels nausea that severe should be considered a negative side effect and the medication stopped. That's reasonable. I read the reviews before I began the med and take Omeprazole daily, as well as Miralax. I am 57, menopausal, and used to feel really good most of the time. Sadly, this med is not worth the side effects for me. I really, really wanted to tough it out, but as a nurse, I feel it's creating problems that I did not have before taking this medication. The nausea is constant, the belching/burping is so frequent that it's embarrassing, stools are like a rock, and the worst feeling is chest tightness. I had so hoped I would be one of those without adverse side effects, but I am not."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been on Wegovy for half a week. For my first injection, I used the upper right side of my stomach. Within an hour, I had a bit of shooting pain in my left mid-back section. I was a bit concerned but didn't say anything to anyone about it as I figured it was just my body getting used to a new chemical. I'm now on day 3, and no pain anywhere, no nausea, and feeling pretty great. I am a little concerned about not understanding exactly what my caloric intake 'should' be but will discuss it with a dietitian. My dosage was the starter 0.25 mg, and my starting weight is 228 lbs. Let the journey begin! Already got past one of the biggest hurdles, namely doing the injections myself. The needle is super small, and didn't leave any marks or blood! Super fast, and recommend it to the 'needle-adverse' folks. I am very glad that it is only once a week though."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Please do not let these reviews scare you like I almost did. I held off multiple weeks because of all these death-like reviews. Finally, when I did decide to just start—I hunkered down like the outside world was about to end. Did the world end? No. I was perfectly fine. Were there the occasional burp and heartburn? Yes. But nothing that wasn’t manageable. I’m over 14 weeks in now, and I barely have a side effect at all. My point—everyone’s body is different. Try it for yourself."
