For Plaque Psoriasis "Out of nowhere, in my 50s, I developed plaque psoriasis. The local dermatologists did not seem to know how to help me. I was put on heavy steroids and other medicines that made my life miserable. Muscle aches, unable to sleep, and rashes that bled up at the merest touch. I found a specialist in New York City, and she is my angel! I was put on Sterela, which helped. Then I was switched over to Cosentyx, and my life changed. I am almost 100% cured, as long as I keep taking the injections. The side effects that I've noticed are more frequent cold sores and a stuffy nose. I take Valtrex at the same time I take the injection, and the cold sores have stopped. The stuffy nose, I can deal with. This product is a miracle."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "55+ years of psoriasis and 10+ years of psoriatic arthritis. In the past with Enbrel (caused multiple shingles breakouts), methotrexate (minimal impact on the arthritis). 2 1/2 years ago, started on Cosentyx with amazing results for the first 18 months. After that, overall health declined. Started with loss of taste, which progressed to severe pain on swallowing, debilitating earaches, runny nose, oral blisters on gums, swollen gums, thrush. Made the decision to stop Cosentyx. Gradually, the impacts from the toxicity of Cosentyx are dissipating. All the psoriatic symptoms are back, as was expected, and worse than ever. I'm giving my body a year to reset before I try anything else. It's a setback physically with the joint pain, but the side effects caused by Cosentyx as it built up in my body were scary. Stumped multiple specialists about what was going on, as much of what I was experiencing was not listed as known side effects - they are now."

For Plaque Psoriasis "It’s an amazing medicine. I’ve tried so many treatments for my psoriasis, and they would work only at the beginning. I’ve tried the ointments, the UV lights, the pills, and nothing was really good enough for me. Plus, they had bad side effects. But since I’ve started Cosentyx, my life got much better. I’m 99% cleared from psoriasis, with only a small side effect (running nose), which I consider is nothing compared to previous treatments. I’m so happy now, I feel like I’m a new person, just started living my life."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "After the initial phase, I got very sick, and my psoriasis has not improved at all. Runny nose (like really bad), chills, hives, plenty of pimples everywhere, and really tired. Hair follicles infected. Bad medication."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "Severe as for 54 years - bilateral hip replacements 30 years ago - total fusion of spine - Been on Remicade for 10 plus years. Doc gave me a 150 mg injection of Cosentyx 1 week post 200 mg Remicade infusion. Started shaking uncontrollably for an hour followed by chills until early morning. Then the whole body itching and runny nose started followed by hives near the injection site. My eyes were the worst and wouldn't stop itching, and I started wheezing with each breath. Took almost 30 days for the symptoms to stop. Told the doc, and she thought it was just a cold and wanted to continue Cosentyx. Absolutely no way I would take it again. Back to Remicade. Tip - what also helps my AS is doxycycline - 100 once per day. Try it."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Cosentyx is working for me, and apart from the runny nose for a day or two after taking, I have not had the listed symptoms. However, I have experienced a rapid increase in my allergies and sensitivities to the point where I carry EpiPens again and cannot be in a room with peanuts (anaphylaxis). Another strange thing, my periods are so heavy (embarrassingly so) I prefer to be at home and have had to have an iron infusion. As these are not listed side effects, my specialist is skeptical. There is nothing else to explain these. I am considering whether to get off the drug, as the period thing is negatively affecting my life and there are not many solutions. However, this is the only drug that has worked for me (but for flare-ups). Also, re painful injection sites - I relax as much as possible and use lotion on the site after the injection, which seems to help with the itches, redness, and burning."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "Well, I’ve had this drug now for 16 weeks without any improvements. I had cold-like symptoms with it, mainly a runny nose. Very easy to use, didn't feel a thing."
