For Nasal Congestion "I took this spray simply to test it out before using it on my child, who has a sinus infection, and I’m very glad I did because I'm experiencing side effects. The bottle says a max of 3 sprays in each nostril, so that's what I dosed myself. After about 30 mins, I was bragging about how great it was, I've never used anything that cleared my nose so well. But within an hour, I had a headache, felt sleepy, and my sinus cavity was extremely dry and so cold when inhaling. I couldn’t fall asleep because of how dried out and cold my nose felt. Then I decided to get up and drink some water and realized that my entire body was cold, I had tremors and felt faint. After a hot shower, I feel better aside from the dry sinuses. But that was scary! I certainly won't ever take it at that dosage again, maybe not ever. Should say 1 spray in each nostril and absolutely no more!"

For Nasal Congestion "PROS: It cleared up my nasal congestion after 5 days of not being able to breathe normally, and that was HEAVEN. CONS: It made my entire body tremor, my hands and feet sweat, and my heart rate sit at 130+. When awoken from my sleep with these symptoms, it felt very counterproductive, seeing as I couldn’t fall back asleep feeling that nervous and shaky. I guess, luckily, I could breathe though. I do not have high blood pressure or any other diagnosed heart condition. Maybe I’ve just got a sensitive autonomic system that did not like that 'adrenaline dump' right before bed. Afrin works as a vasoconstrictor, and that can come with these above-listed side effects. Lesson learned."

For Nasal Congestion "Aside from all the complaints about the cap I'm reading (which I had no problem removing), I would strongly suggest anyone who suffers from anxiety to steer clear of this medicine. It worked great at 'unstuffing' my nose, but it gave me horrible anxiety and jitters, which my doctor never warned me about the possibility of this happening, knowing I have panic and anxiety disorder! Not to mention it dried everything up, not just my nose, but my mouth, my throat, and it even felt like my lungs were dry! I'm sitting here waiting for the 12 hours to be up, and hopefully, all the misery will go away. I won't use it again, and the bottle I bought will be going in the trash! I'll stick to my saline nasal spray and Fluticasone!"
