Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "Went to optometrists/opthamologist for eye exam. Said I had dry eyes. Gave me sample bottles, said to use 4 or 5 times a day for the first two weeks, then no less than 3 times a day. My eyes are swollen, vision blurry, I wake up with goo and gook in my eyes, it is awful. I stopped today. I hope it clears up soon, I drive for a living."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "I have allergies, and my eyes get itchy, so I thought I would try Systane to soothe my irritated eyes. When I put a drop in each eye, my eyes became blurred over, and I could not see! As it dissipated some, I could not longer read the information on the box! It damaged my eyes! I flushed my eyes out three times with water, and it still didn’t help! They felt itchy and sticky. That evening, my right eye had a lump that appeared on my lower lid, which is still there! And my eyesight from the eye drops on Friday is still not back to normal! How can a company produce a product that is not safe to use? I am going to call my attorney!"

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic "I have been using it for a month, and my eyes are a mess. I just thought maybe I had really bad allergies all of a sudden and that my eyesight was starting to go bad due to age. Then, on top of the watering and blurriness, my eyes started burning, and I finally put two and two together. I will stop using it immediately, and hopefully, there is no permanent damage."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic "Bought this because the eye Dr. recommended it, and since I started using it, my eye is worse than ever... watering nonstop, puffy, redness, and blurry vision. Today is so bad I can't even see clearly to drive! I work in the medical field, and I will be telling everyone I can!!!"

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "Was told to try Systane Balance after cataract surgery that resulted in dry eye. This drop is white and oily and blurred my vision. I was using it to clear blurred vision due to dry eye...not make it blurrier. Going back to Refresh Plus Preservative Free. I was hoping Systane Balance would help, but not for me. The Systane Ultra irritates my eyes too."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "Many years ago, I found an eye fluid with Povidone in it for my severe dry eye. They stopped selling it. Over the course of several years, I tried six different drops, none of which had Povidone. My dry eye is only in one eye where I had laser for a torn retina. If I don't use drops during the night, my eye dries out, and I end up with double and blurred vision in the morning, which can last one or two days. Several months ago, my eye doctor suggested FreshKote. When I checked and found it had Povidone in it, I tried it, even though it was $44 a bottle. I have not had a dry eye morning condition since. Even at that price, it is worth it."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "Started using Systane on the advice of an optometrist. It seemed to make my eyes burn, but I was under the impression that it was fairly benign medication. After a few months of using it periodically, it has become obvious to me that Systane has been the cause of my blurry vision and eye irritation. I woke up with some bad floaters and thought that it was the beginning of a retinal detachment. Kind of scary, and I don't know if it can be attributed to the use of Systane, but I can tell you that I will not use it anymore. You make your own decisions, but I would not advise its use."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic "I used Lacrisert 3 times, and on the third and final use, I experienced an extreme adverse reaction that has caused blurred vision that has never improved. The pain and vision loss were so bad I was seen in the emergency room triage. The nurse stated, 'This drug has messed your eyes up.' I was given two injections to counteract the drug and one for pain. I now live with one eye that will not open completely, near-constant blurred vision to the point I am unable to do anything for up to 10 hours at times. My right eye wanders around independent of the left eye. An opaque film almost constantly until I can clear it with preservative-free over-the-counter eye drops. This is an incredibly expensive way, but the only way to gain any relief."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "I started taking Systane Ultra for dry eye, and my eyes got so red and irritated, I had to quit using it. My vision became very blurry and my eyes both really hurt. I am convinced it was preservatives in them that caused my problem. I will never use these again. I hope my eyes get better soon."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "Bausch & Lomb Soothe XP Emollient Eye Drops. This product was recommended for dry eyes for 7-10 days. The first use at bedtime, eyes blurry for 5-10 minutes. Felt greasy & vision foggy. The product does say 'temporary blurred vision upon application.' The 'temporarily blurred vision' did not dissipate after each use. 5-7 days of use. I contacted Bausch & Lomb. The pharmacy rep stated mineral oils may be excessive for me. Told they would recall my bottle and refund only with a receipt. They offered $12.00. I paid $14.99 at CVS plus tax. Found the receipt showing $14.99 provided to them for reimbursement. CVS applied my extra bucks rewards for the prescription filled to each item, not the total cost of purchase. Bausch & Lomb called CVS and decided they would only refund me $6.71! Not worth a zero (0) rating for me. Mineral oil was not effective or beneficial for my use! I will never buy a product from Bausch & Lomb, their customer service is horrible!"

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "Prescribed for red, dry, irritated eyes. Been using as prescribed, disappointed with results-blurred vision and slight headache. Found that it had crystallized in the corner of my eye. Not going to use them from here on, very expensive, normal saline would do."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "I had used Lacriserts for over 15 years with very good results. In the middle of 2020, my pharmacy stated they were on back order. They were again available the last quarter of 2020. I started having problems using Lacriserts. Instead of slowly dissolving in my eyes, they started to dissolve into a gluey clump of sticky substance on my eye that was difficult to remove. My vision was becoming increasingly worse, with constant blurred vision in my right eye. I made an appointment with my optometrist, and after several tests, was prescribed Prednisolone acetate for inflammation for 3 weeks; with a follow-up at that time. We agreed to stop the Lacriserts for now. However, I doubt if I will ever use Lacrisert again. After the Lacriserts became available the last quarter of 2020, the product was different, as if the chemical formulation had changed or something."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic "A horrid medication. My eyes/vision have suffered significant damage since using this expensive rubbish, as suggested by a quack Dr. Lost all of my eyelashes, have intense eye pain now, and my blurred vision is due to this ridiculous formulation, meant to 'soothe' the eye, only to destroy them. DO NOT USE!!!!"

For Dry Eye Disease "I have used Restasis and also Xiidra for my dry eyes from Sjögren's disease. Big mistake on using either one. Both are very costly and created more problems than help. Started using Blink Gel Drops and was getting along fine. No irritation, etc. Then saw my eye professional. She instructed me to use drops AT LEAST 4-6 times a day. This has made for very blurry vision. Also making my eyes feel more tired than ever before. Wish docs would use some of these products themselves."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic "I was told to use this product by my doctor after cataract surgery. At first, I thought my discomfort was because of the surgery, but it has been over a month, and I still have blurry vision and swollen eyelids. I am stopping these drops and will try a different one for my dry eyes."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "My doctor recommended these drops to cure my dry eyes. After about 5 or 6 hours (3 p.m. - 9 p.m.), I noticed a blood clot in my right eye, my dominant eye. I experienced blurred vision, also. I admit I put more than the two drops (maybe 3 or 4) per directions. But I've done the same with other eye drops as well and had no adverse side effects. I cannot recommend this brand to anyone, use with caution if you must!"

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "I started using Systane for dry eyes about 6 weeks ago. The last two weeks, I have not been using them as religiously, but 4/5 weeks ago, I started noticing a difference in vision in my right eye. Especially when light hits my eye when watching TV, etc. I have blurred vision in my right eye and cloudy streaks appearing. I am shocked and only connected the dots right now after looking at reviews online. I am really angry that these drops were prescribed. If any optometrist actually did some Googling, they would know these drops are dangerous to prescribe to their patients."

Ocular lubricant ophthalmic for Dry Eye Disease "I'm 50, and I've used other drops all my life with no problems. After a few weeks of using these drops, my eyes started burning, and I noticed my vision would get blurry at night while trying to watch TV. I never had these symptoms before using these drops, and it was getting so bad I finally decided to look at the reviews. Sure enough, I saw a lot of other people experiencing the same exact horrible side effects. I just threw mine in the trash. I just hope it didn't do any permanent damage."
