Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "Not worth the side effects. Works great for lowering heart rate, BP, and anxiety. Causes horrible weight gain that is impossible to lose while taking the medicine. Also causes shortness of breath, wheezing, and chest pains, to the point I now use an inhaler. Severe depression. I never had before. Numbness in hands, water retention, especially in ankles, raised cholesterol, extreme fatigue and lack of motivation, and night sweats. Hoping to come off it soon."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I am a 43-year-old male. I recently was diagnosed with high blood pressure 190/104. My doctor started me on 5 mg per day for the first month. Raised it to 10 mg per day in the 2nd month and 20 mg per day in the 3rd month. Recently, I started having random and uncontrollable bouts of diarrhea. I am also tired all the time with low energy levels. I am an electrical contractor. Before I started taking this medicine, I was a high-energy, multitasker. Now, although my blood pressure is under control, I am tired most of the time, and at times I can't seem to think clearly enough to perform the complex logical tasks that my job requires. The diarrhea is sometimes uncontrollable."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I was taking carvedilol 3.125 mg bid, and it stopped working shortly after starting a stressful job and a death in my family. I wasn't able to get it under control, so my cardiologist started me on Bystolic 10 mg qd. I was pleased with its quick results, bringing my BP down to the normal range. Now I have realized that I am tired all the time, I have no sex drive, and I don't really care about much of anything. I can sleep all day on my days off. I have gained 30 lbs over the last year! I got my old rx filled today for the carvedilol, and along with diet and exercise, I'm hoping to get back to my old self again. I can't deal with the fatigue anymore. Not to mention the price of $60 per month."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "Was on Inderal for some 25 years, then switched (because of insurance reasons) to different (cheaper) high blood pressure medicines. After several attempts at these newer medicines, had to return to Inderal. For some reason, Inderal stopped working for me. Doctor switched me to Bystolic. WONDER DRUG! I no longer have palpitations, blood pressure is 120/70, no more nausea, no more dizziness, no more fatigue. Truly a wonder drug, at least for me. ONLY drawback, it's expensive. But what price for feeling good and healthy again."

For High Blood Pressure "I had been taking Bystolic for over 24 years with absolutely not one issue up until the patent right wore out and now goes trouble. I’m on the generic version NEBIVOLOL HCL, which has been a nightmare! It’s causing palpitations, fails to control blood pressure, causing fatigue, sometimes shortness of breath. I’m done using it and am seeking an alternative option a family member suggested. Do yourself a favor and avoid the generic version! The real version comes in triangular pill form and the generic is in round pill form. The generic is horrible!"

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "I had the side effects of extreme fatigue and upset stomach to one who has never suffered either. Stuff knocks me out like a sleeping pill. Took Atenolol for two decades with energy to spare and normal eating. Now my stomach turns audibly every day on this. Lost 15 lbs (that I needed) in 60 days on this. Sleep 12+ odd hours a day where I've gone on consistent 7 hours my entire life before Bystolic. Loathe it."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "For lowering BP, it worked great. After about a year, I noticed the side effects: loss of energy in the morning, bloating, and of course, ED. ED was very frustrating, and I tried everything I knew with no results. I stopped it 3 weeks ago, and I feel so much better. The doctor recommended a diuretic to try. It was not covered by insurance, and I had to use a coupon, 135 for a 3-month supply."

Nebivolol for High Blood Pressure "47 yr old 212 lbs. I have been on 50 mg per day of metoprolol tartrate for 5 yrs. Doctor decided to try me on 10 mg Bystolic after I complained of some fatigue and light sensitivity. Took it 3 weeks. I loved it at first, I had a lot more energy, didn't have the usual muscle weakness, but noticed my libido was higher in the afternoon and waned off towards the evening. As the medicine wore off, so did my interest in sex. I also noticed that my social anxiety returned. I have always attributed the metoprolol to helping me feel calm. I was having some friends visit, so I went back to the metoprolol, and my anxiety definitely went away. Although now I feel twice as tired. I am on the fence with this med because of the social anxiety. (sigh)"
