Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "This medicine has been life-changing! After 20 years of dealing with the dry mouth, dry skin, dry eyes, dry scalp, dry nose that results from taking Ditropan, I finally can have control over my incontinence (due to Spina Bifida) and swallow my food without needing water to help. I only gave it 9 stars because of the $85 copay but so far it has been worth every penny. This medicine controls my bladder better than Ditropan and I have had zero side effects."

Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "I was given samples of Myrbetriq. Avoid at all costs! The first night, I experienced side effects of dry mouth, irregular heartbeat, and woke up with a pounding headache. It took 2 days to get out of my system."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I have tried several medications with only a slight improvement. I was going to the toilet an average of 15 times a day, and now about 8-9. But the good thing is, I can now sleep at night. For the past couple of years, I have been waking up 2-3 times at night, and now I can sleep for 6-8 hours. Not only has it improved, but there are less side effects. Not much of a dry mouth. Finally, a medicine that works."

Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "I had a bad experience with this drug. It did stop my bladder leakage, but it caused my blood pressure to spike, which in turn caused headaches, blurred vision, confusion, and chest pain. It also caused sleepiness, dry mouth, sinus issues, joint pain, and my hair fell out by the handful. It wasn't worth it to me."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "This medication is first in class. It is not the same as the other Overactive Bladder medications. I was unable to take the other meds because of dry mouth. This medication gave me zero dry mouth and it works!"

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I have been taking this medication for 30 days, and it works. I have actually slept through the night at least once without getting up to pee. Plus, no dry mouth side effects. No longer getting up 3-4 times a night to pee. Works great but is expensive."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I have been on a few meds for Overactive Bladder, and they have all had the same intolerable dry mouth. I have been on this product for a little less than a month and not seen any side effects, and my symptoms are better. It is a higher co-pay, but worth the symptom relief!"

Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "I have mixed incontinence. I saw results within a few days. It was awesome! A great relief! BUT my mouth was so dry. My sinus felt thick and not draining well. And worst of all, I had constant constipation. I used the drug for 5 weeks, hoping side effects would subside. They didn't. I decided to stop taking it due to the discomfort and concerns of the extreme dryness. Since it's an extended-release medication, the effects lasted a few more weeks after I stopped! Too bad the side effects outweighed the benefits for me."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "Been taking for 10 months. I went from every 15 min. urges to (on average) 1.5-2.0 hours. It's much better, yes. But even though, getting up 4-5 times a night is not ideal. Side effects: 2 nosebleeds so far after the 6-month mark. No big deal. Constipation (can be taken care of with stool softeners when needed), had dry mouth, but has subsided almost completely. During the few weeks of taking this medication, symptoms seemed to get worse. But it got much better after 6-8 weeks. I take it at 6-7 pm. Doesn't make me sleepy or keep me awake. I hope to God there will be another drug in the near future that will be better than what's out there now, and hopefully less expensive."

Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "I have dealt with incontinence for years but learned how to 'deal' with it, such as crossing my legs before I sneezed, running to the bathroom if I needed to cough, and wearing a thick, bulky pad all day in case I started laughing too hard. This got worse after my hysterectomy and became unbearable after my ovaries were removed. Since my body tends to reject sutures of any type, doctors will only do procedures if absolutely necessary, I'm not a candidate for the bladder sling. Myrbetriq is a lifesaver. I have been on it for 3 months now, and yes, I have side effects. I now take a stool softener for the constipation and make sure that I have something to drink by my bed at night for dry mouth and hard candy to get rid of the problem during the day."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I began with 10 mg, 25 mg, and now 50 mg ER. Urologist gave me samples, not sure out of pocket costs yet. My issue that got me taking this is I've had urgency, frequency, spastic bladder, leaking after urinating. So elated for this to work, it was my first time getting any help for this issue, and referral. So it worked! But then it went downhill when I began the 50 mg one week ago. I began having weakness in my arms and left eye twitching after the 2nd dose of 50 mg, irritability, dry throat, unable to empty bladder, severe constipation, bloating. Constipation was the deciding factor to stop taking it today, and not being able to empty my bladder. Maybe my urologist will put me on a lower dose because it was working. I had an occasional headache, I can deal with that. Others may have minimal side effects, and that's great. However, I didn't, I had many with 50 mg. Also, I have seen only a handful of people with muscle weakness and eye twitching. I'm guessing it can affect the nervous system in some of us."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I took Myrbetriq three times over a week. It stopped the urinary urgency it was prescribed to treat but caused serious dementia. I would not be able to function if I took this drug regularly. Dry mouth I could handle, not dementia."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I have been taking this medication for about 2 months. First, I took the 25 mg, it worked for a few weeks, then stopped, so I bumped it up to the 50 mg. It works, but I'm going. It doesn't stop working like the 25 mg did. Due to the side effects I'm having, I think I'm going to quit taking this medication. Headaches, confusion, blurry vision, leg cramps, high blood pressure, rapid heart beating, dry mouth, anxiety, not sleeping if I take it at night, UTI, chest tightness."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I have been on Myrbetriq and Vesicare for about nine months. I had dry mouth and some heart racing, but didn't connect it to the medication. My migraines also occurred with more frequency, but again I didn't connect it to the medication until I read the entries on this site. Last week, all of a sudden, the drugs stopped working, and I became unable to control my bladder. I have to take Pyridium every eight hours, or I am in pain like I have a UTI, but my urine culture is clear. My doctor is scheduling me for Botox injections via cystoscopy. I hope it works because I can barely leave the house."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "I took this medicine for 2 weeks. The side effects are horrible. They started with very dry mouth and sinus, as I continued the drug, I developed blurry vision, headaches, joint pain that also caused weakness in my hands, chest pain, heart racing, diarrhea, upset stomach, and my hair fell out by the handful. I have been off the med for 3 days now and still feel awful."

Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "After a day or two of taking this, my former feeling of incomplete emptying was gone, and it is a wonderful feeling! However, I've been excessively tired after 1-2 days of taking it, and both my mouth and sinuses are super dry, which has resulted in a bloody nose that never really heals. This medication seems to do the trick, which is awesome, but with these side effects, I'm done taking it. Oh well."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "Having bladder pain after UTI. Took one 50 mg one night at 8 pm. Could never get sleepy. Finally went to sleep at 1 am and woke with a rapid heartbeat and anxiety at 3 am. Was awake all day and still had trouble sleeping the next night without taking another dose. So awoke at 5:30 am the next morning with a pulse at 116. My ears have been buzzing and ringing, which impairs my hearing. I would not recommend this medicine, for it causes high BP, fast heart rate, ears buzzing, anxiety. I could tell my urologist had trouble believing me, for he had told me it had no side effects. Why would he say that when you read on the label, all I had are listed? Well, he can say I told him about mine. I don’t like this drug. Oxybutynin was better even with the dry mouth."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "Dry mouth, dry eyes, and continued to urinate. I believe it is an expensive drug with the same side effects as most of the other medications in this class. This was very drying compared to, say, Gelnique."

Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "Started at 25 mg the first month - no effect. Moved to 50 mg for another month - no effect. Taking this is like taking a sugar pill. For 1/10th the cost, I can go back to oxybutynin and regain control. I liked the absence of the dry mouth, but the absence of the control is worse. I say 'no effect,' but it did seem slightly better than taking nothing at all, so I gave it a 2."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "Mom (87) has been getting up 5 to 7 times per night to urinate. We tried this drug to reduce the number of trips to the bathroom so we can all get some sleep. It has not reduced her bathroom visits, but it gives her such dry mouth now she drinks half a gallon of water during the nighttime. But good is that?! Tried it for three days. (She also takes Seroquel, which compounds the dry mouth issue). This drug gets no points for reducing nocturnal bathroom trips."

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "77 yr-old male, had to get up many times at night to pee. Oxybutynyn made my mouth and throat painfully dry, had to D/C it, but Myrbetriq 50 mg (in conjunction with some prostate meds - Finasteride 5 mg and Alfuzosin HCL 10 mg) works well, with no side effects, save BP is a little higher. Sorry it doesn't work so well for you other folks!"

Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "Quite simply: life-changing. I really mean it was life-changing, as in it changed my everyday activities tremendously. Before Myrbetriq, I had to think about what size and how many pads I would need for the day. I constantly had to calculate my liquids intake and access to bathrooms. In addition to peeing very frequently (three times a night), I also would not be able to hold my urine when I arrived home or was close to sitting on a toilet. I thought I would just have to live with this the rest of my life. Now, it's as if I were a kid again-just going about my business and not thinking about when and where the bathrooms are and sleeping a full night. I take 25 mg/night and don't think I have side effects. Sometimes I have dry mouth, which could be a side effect, but it isn't bad. Ironically, I drink liquids so much more now to combat it, and I don't worry about leakage or where the next bathroom is. Thank you, inventors of Myrbetriq!!! Thank you!"

For Urinary Frequency "After many years of problems, I started taking this on a Saturday morning. I have the lower 25 mg dose as I am sensitive to most tablets and found myself in retention a few years ago from one style of urge treatments. From day one, I saw the difference - this is amazing. In a whole week, I have only had one episode of urge. This is in UK NICE guidelines as a third-line treatment (gold standard). You have to try other lines first, and my GP didn't want me to have it really as it cost a whole £29/30 tabs - but push for this treatment, I find it amazing, and the only side effect I have is a slightly dry mouth - I will live with that!!!!"

Mirabegron for Urinary Frequency "This stuff is awful for me! I was taking 25 mg maybe once a week and did not figure out that it was causing my migraines. Irritability was an understatement, dry mouth to the point my tongue was cracking, anxiety is horrific. I can’t eat because I feel nauseous all the time. It has been five days since I have taken one and still am sick. I have horrible ringing in my ears, still anxiety, backache, and can’t even look at food still. I have never had side effects with any drugs in my life. This has been so bad for me. It truly is a nightmare. I still had more side effects that I did not even list. As I said, day five off and still feel like horrific! NIGHTMARE!"

Mirabegron for Urinary Incontinence "I had been taking Toviaz for several years to replace the oxybutynin I was taking before. The problem with Toviaz was terrible constipation and dry mouth, but it worked fairly well in controlling my incontinence and frequency of urination. My urologist recommended I try Myrbetriq as she said the side effects were not as troubling as Toviaz. After taking Myrbetriq for a few days and having many, many episodes of incontinence where I couldn't even make it to the bathroom before urination began, I went through several pairs of pants and underwear while taking this. I decided the dry mouth and constipation were much better than the incontinence I suffered with Myrbetriq, so I switched back to Toviaz. Below I give it a rating of 1, but only because there was not a 0 listed. I"
