For Urinary Incontinence "Came off Oxybutynin as was getting dreadful stomach pains, dry mouth, nausea. Doctor put me on to Betmiga. 50 mg (mirabegron in the UK). I've been on it for 3 months. Urine frequency hasn’t improved. Still getting urgency and not always making it to the loo. Am going to make an appointment to see GP to come off them. Feel like the only option is to go without any medication as they all have unpleasant side effects. I would prefer to have surgery of some description to stop this problem."

For Urinary Frequency "I've always experienced frequent urination, particularly annoyingly at night. Recently, it has coupled with nighttime anxiety to perpetuate sleep maintenance insomnia. I gave Oxybutynin a try, but the dry mouth was unbearable. Mirabegron, however, isn't any better in terms of side effects. After one day, I have a cold and headache, and am dealing with highly unpleasant urinary retention. I can't continue. I recommend stringent 3 to 4 hour fluid restriction prior to bedtime and Desmopressin for anyone dealing with nocturia. They will help at least a little. But the anxiety must be dealt with as well to fall back asleep upon awakening."

For Urinary Frequency "I was on this medication just over 5 weeks and then stopped because the side effects were growing progressively stronger: fatigue, dizziness, nausea, cold-like symptoms, dry mouth, elevated blood pressure, trouble sleeping at night. What prompted me to stop was fainting in the morning. It has been 5 days without taking the medication, and I am still experiencing these side effects, it is starting to get better, although not in a linear manner. Some days are better than others."
