For Urinary Incontinence "48-year-old female with bladder incontinence issues. I took Myrbetriq for around 6 months. During this time, I became sicker and sicker. Headaches, dizziness, muscle aches, fatigue, back pain, heart palpitations, even an emergency room visit, never once making the connection to this drug. I stopped wanting to go to the gym or leave home. I felt so bad. I scheduled a doctor's appointment assuming I probably had some horrible disease. However, when Myrbetriq suddenly stopped helping for the bladder issues, I researched the medicine. My word, I immediately stopped taking Myrbetriq. Within less than a week, I saw an improvement in my overall health. At times in the past, I would laugh at commercials with the long list of 'possible side effects' for certain drugs. I thought it was just a legality. My goodness, these side effects are real and they're horrible. I had rather deal with running to the bathroom all day, every day."

For Urinary Frequency "I have taken this drug for 8 months. I was surprised that it worked right away because I had tried many other things like Ditropan, Uripaz, etc., that did not work. However, the longer I have taken it, the worse I feel from side effects. My hair started to fall out early on, but I didn’t connect it with Myrbetriq until I read these reviews. Slowly, it started to stop working as well. I had a UTI, and now I have a pounding headache, my ears buzz, I am so dizzy I am afraid to take a shower, my nose runs steadily, my eyes burn. I can’t concentrate, maybe because I feel as if my head will explode. I see my doctor tomorrow. Hopefully, she will come up with a good alternative, and I won’t have withdrawal from this med. I would rate it 7/10 for symptom relief but overall 0/10 because of the severe side effects, including palpitations, muscle cramps, itchy skin, skin so dry it flakes off, as well as the other things I mentioned."

For Urinary Incontinence "I was given samples of Myrbetriq. Avoid at all costs! The first night, I experienced side effects of dry mouth, irregular heartbeat, and woke up with a pounding headache. It took 2 days to get out of my system."

For Urinary Incontinence "The doctor gave me samples of the 25mg dose, and I took one dose for two days and quit. My blood pressure increased quickly. I had a constant and bad headache, and it did nothing to improve my urinary frequency or urgency. Of course, after only two days of usage, I did not give it a fair chance to work, but I also did not want to stroke out!"

For Urinary Frequency "Took 25 mg of Myrbetriq samples, then bought another month's supply of the drug. I took it for a total of 40 days. It initially helped with my urinary frequency, but then I started experiencing headaches during the afternoon and evening. I slept well for the first few days, but then the headaches became constant. They were the worst headaches I have ever felt, with intense, constant stabbing pain. I felt lethargic, lost my appetite, and only found minimal relief with ice on my head. I had several sleepless nights and then developed a fast heartbeat with pounding in my ears. I often experienced the sensation of vomit rising in my throat and became completely immobile. I stopped taking Myrbetriq on September 12th, 2019. Four days later, I am still dealing with the headache, but now it's intermittent with sudden sparks or flashes of pain in my head. Today, I managed to eat oatmeal and scrambled eggs for the first time. While I'm glad this drug has helped some people, I would recommend caution before using it."

For Urinary Incontinence "Just took my first pill yesterday at 2 in the afternoon. When I woke up the next morning, I had a headache, felt like I was going to throw up, and couldn’t eat. Slept all day, still have a headache! One pill at 50mg. I have a prolapsed bladder, and the doctor thought the med would help stop the bladder from spasming. I’m not taking another pill!! And after I spent an unholy $255 on these awful pills!!"

For Urinary Frequency "I have been on this medication for 2 months - 50 mg. It has reduced my frequency slightly (from 20 to 18 times), but has relieved the bladder pressure and urgency (that was constant). I can almost sleep for 5 hrs without the need to urinate. It has significantly improved the quality of my life. When I started the medication I had headaches, but after a week they disappeared."

For Urinary Incontinence "I have been feeling very bad for the last 3 weeks. I even went to the ER. I have had high BP, constant headache, shortness of breath, chest pains, rapid heartbeat, and buzzing in my ears. It has not helped my bladder issues. Worst of all, none of the doctors I have seen figured that out. Even after asking what all my medications are. When they kept telling me all was well, except for mildly high BP. So, each time I left feeling like I was going crazy or a hypochondriac. Then I started thinking, what drug have I started taking most recently. I looked it up and surprise... there were all my symptoms. Well, I have stopped taking this drug and will not recommend it to anyone..."

For Urinary Incontinence "I had a bad experience with this drug. It did stop my bladder leakage, but it caused my blood pressure to spike, which in turn caused headaches, blurred vision, confusion, and chest pain. It also caused sleepiness, dry mouth, sinus issues, joint pain, and my hair fell out by the handful. It wasn't worth it to me."

For Urinary Frequency "I began with 10 mg, 25 mg, and now 50 mg ER. Urologist gave me samples, not sure out of pocket costs yet. My issue that got me taking this is I've had urgency, frequency, spastic bladder, leaking after urinating. So elated for this to work, it was my first time getting any help for this issue, and referral. So it worked! But then it went downhill when I began the 50 mg one week ago. I began having weakness in my arms and left eye twitching after the 2nd dose of 50 mg, irritability, dry throat, unable to empty bladder, severe constipation, bloating. Constipation was the deciding factor to stop taking it today, and not being able to empty my bladder. Maybe my urologist will put me on a lower dose because it was working. I had an occasional headache, I can deal with that. Others may have minimal side effects, and that's great. However, I didn't, I had many with 50 mg. Also, I have seen only a handful of people with muscle weakness and eye twitching. I'm guessing it can affect the nervous system in some of us."

For Urinary Frequency "I have been taking this medication for about 2 months. First, I took the 25 mg, it worked for a few weeks, then stopped, so I bumped it up to the 50 mg. It works, but I'm going. It doesn't stop working like the 25 mg did. Due to the side effects I'm having, I think I'm going to quit taking this medication. Headaches, confusion, blurry vision, leg cramps, high blood pressure, rapid heart beating, dry mouth, anxiety, not sleeping if I take it at night, UTI, chest tightness."

For Urinary Incontinence "I'm 73 years old. Had bladder lift surgery with hysterectomy. I was put on Myrbetriq 50 mg. My life went downhill. Mystery issues began that the doctor didn't mention. Couldn't understand cold symptoms, headache, sinus issues, lack of energy, bedridden for a week. Took 3 COVID tests... all negative. Till I pulled out the Myrbetriq med insert in the box! The doctor said to stop taking Myrbetriq to see what happens or go to my primary. Neither doctor was helpful. Now my legs are swollen 2x their size, and I'm heading to urgent care now!"

For Urinary Frequency "I took this medicine for 2 weeks. The side effects are horrible. They started with very dry mouth and sinus, as I continued the drug, I developed blurry vision, headaches, joint pain that also caused weakness in my hands, chest pain, heart racing, diarrhea, upset stomach, and my hair fell out by the handful. I have been off the med for 3 days now and still feel awful."

For Urinary Frequency "Myrbetriq 25 mg for my interstitial cystitis made my symptoms worse. I started on a Friday, had some mild side effects such as dizziness, stomach pain, heartburn, racing heart, and headache. They increased in intensity, I was physically exhausted for no reason, and I was peeing close to 50 times a day, more than double. I contacted my Dr. and left a message, but stupidly continued taking the meds for 3 more days, thinking side effects would go away. They got worse. At that point, the bladder pain and pain when peeing was so excruciating, I thought I was going to die. I took AZO Bladder Pain Relief, which helped with the pain since my Dr. never called back. A week later, I'm back to where I started with my IC, and my Dr. has still not called."

For Urinary Frequency "Been taking this drug irregularly due to headaches and blood in urine. Was hoping I had found something to work. Since my last dose in November, I have had lots of blood in the urine. I think the manufacturer should be told of these issues. Having cystoscopy in early January to hopefully find out what is going on in the bladder."

For Urinary Incontinence "Tried Myrbetriq for a month for OAB and had terrible cramping that felt like menstrual cramps (I had a hysterectomy 29 years ago, so it wasn't that) and diarrhea. I also had really bad headaches, vision issues, and neurological issues. I also suffer from gastroparesis, so when they warned this drug caused constipation, I was concerned but found I had the opposite issue. Not only was I still in the bathroom for OAB, but now in the bathroom all day having bowel movements all day. I couldn't leave the house. I kept taking it, hoping the side effects would go away, but had to quit when it put me in a colitis attack and sent me to the ER with non-stop bleeding. This drug is horrible. On to the next drug, but not until my colon heals."

For Neurogenic Detrusor Overactivity "I was diagnosed with bladder spasms. Dr. gave me a month's supply of Myrbetriq, and at first, it was awesome, but then the side effects kicked in: my heart racing and headaches, eye pain, blurry vision. Driving home the other night, I had blurry vision, and I felt lightheaded. I was thinking I might have had a stroke. I'm never taking it again. I just wonder how long it takes to get out of my system. My anxiety is off the chart - it is just not worth it."

For Urinary Frequency "I took 25 mg for a couple of weeks with no problem, but no noticeable results. My doctor put me on 50 mg Myrbetriq. I slept through the night. That was my first full night's sleep in 2 years. I would wake up almost every hour to visit the bathroom. For 3 days, I was positively in heaven taking 50 mg Myrbetriq, but I was having side effects, each day more noticeable side effects. On the third day, my atrial fibrillation was severe, sore neck, pounding headache, and earache. My blood pressure rose, and my vision blurred so bad I went to my doctor, who sent me to another eye doctor. By the end of the third day, I was scheduled for eye surgery. 50 mg Myrbetriq works, but were my side effects all a coincidence or real side effects? In today's society, we regret the economic losses more than the loss of life, besides what really could go wrong, any prescription has FDA approval."

For Urinary Incontinence "Took 25 mg for 3 months, urgency decreased, but stress incontinence was the same (as I was told to expect). By 2 or 3 months, it wasn't working as well, so my uro increased to 50 mg. (Started taking just last week.) I've noticed all along hair thinning and headaches, but didn't make the connection until I read reviews. Now I'm having swelling in my feet, but it could be related to another med. Cardiologist gave me a diuretic if it happens again. I'll try to finish out the 90-day supply I have already paid for and see how it goes. After that, I can't afford it anyway due to the donut hole. I have several high copay prescriptions, and I've had to choose between heart and arthritis meds and bladder leaks. Myrbetriq isn't worth the cost."

For Urinary Incontinence "I have a prolapsed bladder, waiting for surgery. 1st dose of Myrbetriq I woke up at 4 am and couldn't pee, but the pressure was there. My legs and feet went to sleep, and I couldn't walk. When I woke up again, there was the headache. Made the mistake of taking the second dose...but I won't take anymore. That pill is bad stuff. I'll just wet myself."

For Urinary Incontinence "The worst I had experienced severe headaches, serious stomach pains, nausea, memory messed up, couldn't think clear. It was so bad I went to have brain scans and an MRI on my brain. Couldn't figure out what was wrong, thought I was dying. I read these posts and matched my issues exactly, then stopped taking meds. I wasn't asking my doctor anything. As soon as the first day of not taking it, I started feeling better and felt I was starting to return to normal. Horrible, horrible drug to take."

For Urinary Frequency "I was given Myrbetriq after I had surgery for a prolapsed bladder and other reconstructive surgeries. I was given 50 mg immediately. The surgery really didn't work that well for me. Moving on, it hasn't helped me at all! I am up at least 3-4 times a night and running to the bathroom all day. I now have to strain to get the urine to flow, and I am not emptying out. I've been taking it for about 3 weeks. I've experienced bad headaches and blurry eyes. The worst part has been the insomnia. I looked up the side effects and found that insomnia, plus the other symptoms I described, are very common. I am awake most nights from 11:00 pm until 3-4 am or later every night. I took it again this am but will stop tomorrow. Thanks for listening!"
