For Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis "Nucala has made a positive contribution to my life. Emergency room visits and three hospitalizations are in the past once I started Nucala every 28 days with three injections totaling 300 ml. All the other symptoms have not come back and my asthma is controlled. I am grateful for the team of doctors that prescribed Nucala."

For Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis "Had great results initially. No Xopenex! Four months ago, delivery changed to pre-prepared shots packaged by the manufacturer instead of being mixed by pharmacists on-site after I arrived. Health deteriorated for four months, from 20 minutes on the treadmill to tough 5-minute walks and oxygen at night. Shot can be delivered from the hospital about 2 miles away any time from hours to days or weeks. Not sure if that is the problem. Comments?"

For Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis "On Nucala ~5 years for Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA). EGPA manifests like asthma, I suspect it is more nuanced. Close enough! I have only used a month-long steroid inhaler to get a handle on a rare extreme seasonal flare-up 2x during the past ~5 years. The source of any side effects is hard to attribute because they require going off meds to narrow the true cause. That is not practical for me. Skin rashes preceded first injections by months and about 2 years of inconclusive dermatology investigations before it abated. Recurs occasionally. Rash vaguely resembles early shingles, and I can't say it's the Nucala, but it may be a component. A general malaise during autumn and winter is common (in my experience). This might be EGPA-related, boosting prednisone for 2 weeks sets things right. I am reactive to prednisone, and it has its own downside. Currently: more frequent aches/back pains this year. COVID shutdown = poor muscle tone could be exacerbating it as much as any drug."

For Asthma "Nucala has changed my life in a positive way. I no longer get sinus infections twice a year that take months to get over. If I do get sick, it runs a normal course of 10-14 days, and I’m better. My asthma and allergies are much better controlled."

For Asthma "I've been taking Nucala for 2 years now, and it has helped my asthma so much, and it changed my life because my asthma was so severe. However, I am thinking about asking my doctor to take me off of it because my joints in my shoulders, legs, hips, and back are paining so bad, and the tiredness is hard to bear. I just don't want my asthma to come back. I wish there wasn't a trade-off."

For Asthma "I'm from Argentina and have had asthma since I was 8. I started using Nucala 2 years ago. It took at least 8 to 9 months to have an effect on my body, but it was amazing. Before Nucala, I used to nebulize 6 or 7 times a day and would wake up at night at 3 am because I needed a nebulization. I even had a nebulizer with a battery to use on trips, but now I have it stored away. Nucala changed my life. It's a pen, which I press to my tummy, and after hearing one click, 20 seconds later, I hear a second click, and that's it. I use it once a month and have had no side effects."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I have been having monthly Nucala injections for about seven years now, after previously suffering with severe asthma and bronchiectasis. I have never smoked once in my whole life. The effects of the Nucala were a wonderful relief, almost like a miracle. I was able to live a normal life, except if I caught flu or a bad cold. I do not know what has happened to cause these chest problems to become suddenly so severe in the space of one month - wheezing, coughing up every 30 minutes through the night, and breathlessness, even though I am on steroids and antibiotics. I just hope and pray that after my next Nucala injection, I will be well again."
