"Mobic seemed to work great to reduce my arthritis pain. However, it gave me a headache and my other MD said Prozac can't be taken with Mobic because both increase the risk of gastric bleeding etc Also, it gave me shortness of breath. I thought it reduced my pain but my doc says arthritis pain comes and goes, so maybe not. Be careful if you also take an antidepressant - many don't react well with Mobic."

"Was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my knee today. Pain was so bad last night, I only slept on and off. I was in tears and the spasms were constant. 600mg of ibuprofen didn't touch it. My doctor prescribed Mobic and Osteo Bi-flex. Took my first dose at 2pm. By 8pm that evening all pain and spasms were gone and I will be able to sleep pain free tonight. I am so happy I could cry - the relief is like gold in my pocket! I can walk without limping or shuffling for the first time in 2 weeks."

"I was taking between 4-6 ibuprofen a day and still had a lot of osteoarthritis pain. Once the Mobic was prescribed I felt a significant decrease in pain and can say have a new lease on life. Side effects have been minimal."

"Mobic has been great for my arthritis. I've had Mobic prescribed by several different doctors over the past 10 years and 1) haven't had a problem with it, and 2) it's one of the only medications that helps with my arthritis, which I have in just about every joint but my elbows. Ibuprofen works too but I started retaining fluid and swelling up after taking it off and on for several years. Hope nothing similar happens w Mobic as it's a godsend."

"I used Mobic for 1 year with great results for knee pain and no side effects. Orthopedic surgeon would not continue prescription for fear of long-term effects. Knee pain returned within 5 days. Will consult with primary care doc for new prescription."

"Just started Mobic this week and I've already gained 4 minutes back on my nightly walk. I'm 32 and suffer from severe osteoarthritis in my hips. I haven't noticed much change in my swelling , but am already sleeping for longer periods of time."

"I have had awful foot pain for over 10 years and have tried many medicines. My Doctor suggested Mobic and it did wonders for my pain. I have been on it 5 days now and can not believe the difference it has made. I can now walk without shuffling around because of pain. Side effects are mild for now. I have light headache from time to time and ear pressure. Hope that improves. I take 7.5 twice a day since 15 seemed to make side effects worse. A nice surprise everytime I get up to walk and feel little or no pain."

"It made me gain weight about 40lbs and cause acne, other then that it worked very well for my Osteoarthritis in my neck. I have a fusion and have not been the same since. This medicine helped me with my pain. I got my life back. I still can't do everything but my pain is so much better!"

"I was started on meloxicam 5 weeks ago for bone on bone osteoarthritis in both knees. NSAIDs and topicals and PT did not help. Now I can walk in the grocery store with much less pain and sleep without my knee pain waking me up. Well tolerated so far. I am hoping this will help delay a knee replacement. I am taking 15mg per day"

"First one that I have found working for the pain and the inflammation in my knees, elbows, shoulders, etc. I am 36 and I was tested about three weeks ago, but before I was tested, I was already taking Mobic and it worked better than all the other medicines that I was taking for my arthritis. When my test come back it showed that I was full blown with arthritis and borderline rheumatoid arthritis. "

"I've been taking Meloxicam 15 mg for six months and I haven't really noticed any reduction in pain. I have arthritis in my knees, hips, back, neck, and wrists. Today I took 500 mg of Tylenol at lunch to see if it helps. (I take the Meloxicam with supper.) I've also tried ice, lidocaine, and Mineral Ice on different occasions to try to stop the breakthrough pain. I'll be seeing my doctor next week and will ask why Meloxicam isn't working for me."

"This medicine does help a lot. I would say about 80% and when I came off 3 days later started hurting again and a month later was practically bedridden from pain. Yes, it works well!! I stopped taking it one time because of my severe GERD which I had before mobic but became worse with Mobic but now that I am on a PPI medication I don't have to worry about the GERD anymore. I just upped the antacids as needed. It is much better than suffering from severe pain. I am sensitive to medication but there is no side effects outside maybe some very minor drowsiness the first few days starting back taking the medicine. It has helped me. I have degenerative disks, compression in my spinal cord, suspected AS as well as arthritis in all my joints and they are testing me for autoimmune issues. You may not even realize how much it helps until you stop taking it. I knew it was helping me a lot but didn't realize how much. It's a good medication and works much better then prescription Naprosyn."

"I have severe Osteoarthritis in right shoulder from a motocross injury. Had a partial shoulder replacement 2 years ago and been in tons of pain since and not being able to move my arm. Nothing else has touched the pain like Mobic does just taking 7.5 only when the pain comes on. I am thankful it works because my options are not good for getting pain relief. It’s been over a year before figuring out what will take the pain away . Just a FYI surgery is not always the way to go it can leave you worse than you where with a lot more pain that is hard to treat."

"I have a pinched nerve C6-C7. Pain from neck to hand. All NSAIDS help, but Meloxicam 15mg once per day was amazing after taking for a week. No pain. 6 months later I got COVID and (maybe a pure coincidence) it stopped working."
