For Schizophrenia "I swear this medication is making me feel like a 70-year-old. Ever since I started taking it, I feel angry, irritable, apathetic, always tired, no energy, not hungry at all. I have become extremely blank and absent to the people around me. I'm taking 60 mg, but most likely going to stop taking it. It took away my personality."

For Bipolar Disorder "I was admitted to a hospital for my bipolar symptoms, and the first drug they put me on was Latuda. My experience with it was awful, it made me feel lethargic, have muscle spasms, and it made me extremely agitated. I would get frustrated by the slightest inconveniences, and I constantly had suicidal and homicidal thoughts while on it. To the point that my parents called the hospital and told the doctor to take me off it because they felt like I was a completely different person, and not for the better."

For Bipolar Disorder "I wanted so badly for this medicine to work, but it has not controlled my hypomanic anxiety or insomnia at all. And it made my depersonalization, concentration, and irritability worse. And now, as a side effect, I'm having short-term memory issues. The only reason that Latuda has a 2 instead of a 1 is because I haven't gained any weight or had any other typical antipsychotic side effects."

For Bipolar Disorder "To those who experience restlessness and a bad mood following the dose... try Cogentin (benztropine)! The simple addition of a 1 mg pill of Cogentin with my evening dose completely, 100% knocks out the feeling of restless agitation. The addition of a med for side effects is worth it to be able to continue on such an effective and easy-to-take antipsychotic."
