"I was on it for two years as I liked the idea of no fillers, etc., yet all of a sudden when I needed more, my body rejected it. I needed to go up to 50 mcg, but it felt like a real letdown. Twice I went through that and then knew my body was rejecting Tirosint. So, I went back to Synthroid, and I am fine."

"I started taking Tirosint (50 mg) when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and had a TPO of 1200 and a TSH of 6.8. It has been a year, and my TSH bounces between 1.03-2. I feel just fine, and there have been no side effects, though it would have been cool to drop a couple of pounds! I was using Willow Pharmacy, but I understand they have been purchased by Highland. I hope they honor the coupon!"

"I have been taking NP Thyroid, Synthroid, and Levothyroxine for years, yet my weight continued to increase without any signs of weight loss. Although my eyebrows did grow back after taking NP Thyroid, it was not covered by my insurance. When I saw a new endocrinologist, they informed me that my T3 levels were too high and recommended that I switch to Tirosint. Unfortunately, Tirosint is also not covered by my insurance and costs $50.00 a month. I have been taking 175 mg of Tirosint for three months now, but have not noticed any significant changes. The only thing that has become lighter is my wallet. I have gained an additional 5 pounds, making my total weight gain since my Hashimoto diagnosis over 60 pounds and counting. Needless to say, I am not impressed. I plan to ask my doctor if I can switch to regular Levothyroxine or Synthroid pills at a lower cost of $5.00 to see if there is any noticeable difference. If this expensive medication had made any difference, I would gladly pay the 1000x increase in price not covered by my insurance, but unfortunately, I have noticed no improvement."

"It is 12/27/2022. I switched over from Synthroid 125 and now on Tirosint 125 mcg. I think this medication doesn't work at all. I am getting extremely cold as it's wintertime, and my family is getting mad at me for having no energy. I'm going to switch back to Synthroid when I see my endo again."

"The medication doesn't work anymore. I can take 4 to 5 pills of my Tirosint 125, and it literally does nothing. If I take my Synthroid, it does something! Paying extra money for a medication that doesn't work."

"I am not the patient but have power of attorney for her. She's my mother-in-law, and I've been caring for her medical needs for more than 15 years. She has Alzheimer's disease and is now in memory care. I've been unable to visit her since COVID started. We can talk through the mobile phone and see her through a window. She is so frail now, losing weight, won't eat much, sleeps almost continually, begs to see her family. Was changed from levothyroxine about 3 months ago to Tirosint. Going downhill continually. 95 years old and getting good care in her memory facility (we are lucky). But this drug seems to be making her worse. Get used to it. This is what socialized medicine looks like."

"I switched from Synthroid to Tirosint. I've gained 10 lbs, hair loss, constipation, and high blood pressure. How could this cleaner product be causing so many side effects?"

"Horrible medication. As a 65-year-old with a recent diagnosis of Hashimoto's disease, I was on this drug for 2 months. The second month, things got worse. Chest pains, not sleeping, terrible muscle aches. Well, I ended up in the emergency room with chest pains, which led to a triple bypass operation! This drug should be off the market!"
