For Emergency Contraception "Ok, so I promised if I got my period I would come back on here because all of these reviews helped me with my anxiety. Basically, I had sex like 2 days after my period, and the condom broke. It would have just been precum, but Google freaks you out, don't look! So I took Plan B like 15 hours after. About 2 hours later, I had bad cramps and a headache that lasted for like 2 days. Other than that, nothing major. 5 days later, I had a period? It just looked different and didn't feel like one. That lasted for 4 days, then just ended. So then I had to wait for my second (actual) period. The week coming up, I had a lot of watery discharge and a weird feeling in my ovaries, which freaked me out more. But my period came! 5 days late though!! You'll be ok!"

For Birth Control "on this for irregular periods/ovarian cysts/birth control. I have not stopped bleeding since insertion and feel like I'm in a constant state of PMS. I have regular cramping and noticeable pressure in my lower abdomen. I am almost constantly bloated. I eat 90% paleo, limit alcohol, and work out regularly. The rest of my body is in great shape, but since the IUD insertion, my mid-section is ever-expanding! I am unable to fit into anything unless it has spandex. I have been experiencing headaches, which I am not normally prone to, and I feel more anxious than normal. My skin has also taken a downward turn. I have never been acne-prone, and my face looks like I am going through puberty. And most importantly, my mood sucks! I find myself to be uncontrollably irritable. It's almost like watching another person because I can see myself being angry or down in the dumps, and I can't pinpoint why and struggle to shake myself out of it. I have never had depression, but I think the medication is taking its toll on my normally upbeat nature. I am done."

For Birth Control "I have had Mirena for almost 3 years now. Getting it removed on Monday for sure. I suffer from depression, but ever since I got the Mirena, it has gotten worse, and my anxiety attacks keep coming and coming. I have severe headaches that cause my vision to be blurry in one eye, and my left side of my body goes numb. It's very scary, and I can't live like this anymore."

For Emergency Contraception "Had unprotected sex right in the middle of my cycle. Took this roughly 24 hours after having sex. I felt pretty emotional for a few days afterward. Not sure if that was from the pill or the situation I put myself in. Anyway, for about a week and a half, I felt nauseous, had cramps, was very tired, and had headaches. I also started spotting about 2 weeks after taking it. I thought I was starting my period. However, my actual period was delayed a couple of days. Very happy this product exists! I will not put myself in the situation to have to use it again, however."

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B after approx. 2 hours after unprotected sex. That same day after a few hours, I started to feel very bloated and felt like that the following day as well. I honestly had difficulties driving since I also had pain in my right ovary area! I got my period 1 week after the pill and 1 week before it was supposed to be. Not to mention, I've always gotten heavy periods with no cramps...just very bad headaches, they are awful! But girls, Plan B really works. Definitely, $50 is really worth it! Hopefully, this helps."

For Emergency Contraception "Okay, so I’ve been reading others' experiences for weeks, so I decided to share mine. So my last period started on Oct 28 and ended on Nov 1. I had unprotected sex on Nov 5, which was less than a week before I started ovulating. The guy ended up finishing in me, and I’m on no form of birth control. I took the pill about an hour after that happened. A week later, I started spotting, but it was somewhat heavy spotting. The following weeks, I experienced headaches, cramps on and off, increased appetite, sore breasts, increased discharge, and I became very emotional. In addition, my period was due on the 25th of Nov. I was convinced I was pregnant. This past week, I’ve had an increase in the intensity of cramps, and luckily my period came today (Dec 1), which is exactly a week from my expected period arrival date. My advice would be to be patient, keep track of your cycle, and take the pill as soon as possible. Hope this is helpful for someone."

For Emergency Contraception "I've used it twice. The first time was easy and I got my period a bit late, but it was still a success. However, this second time was different. I had unprotected sex on May 28, took the pill 45 min after, and my period was due two weeks from that day. No crazy side effects. Fast forward to the end of June, and I still had no sign of my period. I was extremely worried and my prayer mode was on. July approached, and my period was 3 weeks late! Still too scared to take a test because I was scared. But on July 3, I saw a sign of my period. Much different than my regular period, though. It was very dark red, almost brown, all 5 days. No period symptoms (headache, acne, bloating, cramps, mood swings), and it was a lighter flow. To be on the safe side of things, I decided to finally take the test, and I fortunately received a negative result. If you’re reading through these reviews right now, relax. Stress caused mine to be extremely late. So once I calmed down, I finally got it! I definitely do think this pill works."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "In Oct 2020, I had lost so much blood during my period that I had to have a blood transfusion (3.5 bags). Afterwards, my gyn-ob gave me birth control pills w/ estrogen to regulate my heavy periods. It made my blood pressure go through the roof. I also had swelling in my legs, feet, and ankles. So in March 2021, I decided to have the Mirena IUD inserted. I was still bleeding heavily when my gyn-ob inserted it. It was a bloody mess. Mind you, my vaginal area was sore from all the bulky tampons that I experienced such a stinging sensation. Now fast-forward to July 2021, I'm still experiencing heavy bleeding at times. I'm constantly having to wear panty liners. I get headaches and strange body aches monthly. I've gained weight in the back of my neck and belly. I once had clear skin but not anymore. I've been hiding behind a mask the entire time. My mood comes and goes. I'm contemplating removing the IUD. I was miserable before the IUD, and now I'm miserable with it. This dilemma has ruined my livelihood."

For Birth Control "I had the Mirena for 3 months. In those 3 months, I experienced the most horrific symptoms ever, and it was definitely the Mirena as I didn't have it before, and I was tested for many other things, which all came back normal. I got it removed today, and almost instantly my lower back pain disappeared, along with constant cramping, and even the headaches I started getting from it have subsided today! I became HIGHLY, dangerously anxious on this thing. I got into a severe manic depressive state on it, had such bad anger problems and outbursts over nothing, not to mention the weight gain and sudden migraines/headaches, joint pain, and pressure in my skull! I am actually furious as to how much this messed me up, but I know not everyone had bad experiences on this, which I find so shocking due to the things it did to me."

For Emergency Contraception "Plan B served its purpose and worked for me when I had sex with no protection during my fertile window. However, the lack of information regarding the side effects is really concerning. In many credible websites, it is stated that the side effects last at maximum one week. Well, that certainly wasn't the case for me, and as I can assume by reading the reviews here, not the case for many people. After the first few days of taking the pill, I experienced no side effects. Only after 4/5 days of taking it, I started experiencing spotting, similar to my regular period, but that only lasted for about 3 days. After that, I experienced severe headaches, nausea, and really drastic mood swings for the rest of the month. It's an incredible high dosage of hormones, and it can mess up with your body and make you go through a pretty tough time for way longer than one week. I got my period exactly one week late from when I expected, so I can't really complain in that regard because it does work."

For Emergency Contraception "Just want to say this pill WORKS! But you really have to take it ASAP! I took mine about 30 hours after having sex using withdrawal, and I got my period right on time. Take some Gravol and/or Tylenol with it to avoid nausea/headache, and remember that although the side effects of the pill are almost exactly the same as pregnancy, you wouldn't be feeling them until at LEAST 2 weeks after sex. DON'T STRESS, and try to keep your mind off worrying because that'll delay your period, and ESPECIALLY don't do research on Google because that will just freak you out even more (trust me, I freaked out so much I fainted). I would recommend having this pill in your medicine cabinet in case of an emergency so you have easy and quick access to it. xo"

For Emergency Contraception "After my odd experience with this pill, I knew I had to write a review to comfort anyone that was as anxiety-ridden as I was. I took Plan B the first day of my period (I had unprotected sex with my bf the day before). I experienced no symptoms for about 2 weeks after taking the pill. But the next 2 weeks were some of the most excruciating days of my life. I experienced headaches, nausea, and insomnia at record highs. I was beyond nervous that I was pregnant, even though my ovulation timeline didn’t line up. I was supposed to get my period on January 1, 2020. Instead, I got it just one day later. So for anyone reading this, relax. Stress and anxiety fill your head with doubt and can make symptoms more daunting than they really are. This pill worked for me, but I had to give it less than a 10 review because of my symptoms. Going forward, stay protected and have a little faith."

For Birth Control "I had Mirena for a year. Insertion was a small pinch and not bad at all. I spotted the whole time I had it in, experienced more headaches, lower back aches, and cramping. The spotting wasn't really a lot, but I always had to wear a liner. My sex drive was low, and I would get panic attacks and have horrible mood swings. I also gained like 15 lbs. I had it taken out today, so I am hoping I feel better. My husband is happy I am getting it out, he said I just wasn't the same with it."

For Emergency Contraception "Had unprotected sex the day after my period ended. Took the pill within 35 hours after sex. Experienced headaches and tender breasts for the next week or more. Then nothing really. The week of my next period, there was a very light flow of a dark red, clumpy discharge. I thought it was spotting, and it lasted about 2.5 days. Then nothing for a day. Then I had the worst headache ever and stayed in bed for hours. Later realized this was my period, and it had been right on time. No pregnancy."

For Birth Control "I had severe headaches and horrible vomiting monthly from having the Mirena. After I had it removed, all the severe side effects stopped. My husband suggested the Flo app, which tells you when you’re ovulating, and I’ve actually gone without contraceptives, and it’s worked wonderfully. I wish I would have known about all the negative effects of Mirena before I was talked into getting it. It’s been 3 years since I took it out, and I’ve been wanting to write a review so people know the truth of what could happen. My experience was horrible."

For Emergency Contraception "I used Next Choice One Dose. I took the pill 10 hours after. It made me so sleepy, and I was a bit dizzy. On the fifth day, I started with a bad headache, and the next day I started spotting. Now, today, I am proud to say I'm not pregnant! I was so paranoid when my period wasn't here. Now it is, I couldn't be happier. Just relax, girl, it works."

For Birth Control "Had this Liletta IUD put in January 2020 because of irregular and heavy periods. The insertion was not bad. I experienced cramps for a day or two. But the spotting that followed was unreal. It lasted about 5 months accompanied by my regular, irregular periods. Additionally, I have gained 15 pounds, which is frustrating considering that I have maintained a consistent weight my whole adult life (except pregnancy) due to following a strict exercise and diet regimen. My sex drive is also completely gone and has been replaced with headaches, mood swings, anxiety, and depression. I am grateful to have found this website to learn this is not all in my head and others have experienced the same side effects. It’s not worth it anymore and I will be having the IUD removed shortly."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Lots to say about this one. I have focal adenomyosis of the uterus, so it really hurt to get Mirena inserted. I was physically sick immediately after, and I'd like to think my pain threshold is pretty decent considering I live with adeno pains every day. The aim of using Mirena was to try and suppress my pains. Nothing changed in that area, unfortunately, and I ended up with more complications to add to it. My symptoms were constant headaches, brain fog, constant fatigue, moody, weird pains in my legs even though I'm not doing exercise at the moment, always feeling hot and sweaty, night sweats, unable to sleep properly, dry, itchy area down there, constant spotting every single day. The only positive for me was that my periods were lighter, which was outweighed by the fact that I was spotting every day for 5 months. Gave it a good try, and it was not for me! Trying Kyleena next."

For Emergency Contraception "Basically, it works. I promised myself if I got my period I would write a review! I took the pill on the 11th day of a 30-day cycle (a day before the fertile window, a week or less before ovulation). An hour after I took the pill, I instantly felt nauseous, and then the headaches kicked in. A little while after, I had diarrhea (but that occurred only once for me). The following week, I started experiencing HUGE MIGRAINES, and then I felt REALLY DEPRESSED (I cried and felt really pessimistic about everything). These migraines went on for a little over a week for me. In the third week, I felt fine; my migraines became minor headaches, and then I started spotting little by little. (I also took 2 preg tests; they came out negative.) My period spotting was heavier than the pictures seen for implantation, and it's the 17th day since I took the pill. Today is the 29th of July, and I finally got my period. :)))) Don't worry about a thing."

For Emergency Contraception "Had unprotected sex on the day of ovulation. He pulled out before ejaculation, but I was terrified of pre-cum. The more research I did, the more I panicked. STAY OFF GOOGLE, PLEASE. Took the pill 30 hours later and had a mild headache after taking it. Had terrible cramps for an entire week, no bleeding, unlike most of the reviews say so. Just got my period 3 days earlier. This website helped me a lot, please don't panic girls, it delays the period. These two weeks were the most stressful days. Please use BC and protection, the stress is not worth it!"

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I had protected sex 1 day before my expected period. Unfortunately, the condom broke, and neither of us noticed until after the fact. I took Plan B within the hour, and throughout the next few days, I experienced abdominal cramps, headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and loss of appetite. 5 days later, I got my period. The period was different from normal, but I was relieved nonetheless. You're going to read people telling you not to be stressed because it works, if you're anything like me, you are still going to stress either way. Just breathe, it is a waiting game, but once you get your period, it is so worth it."

For Emergency Contraception "On January 21, the condom broke. My boyfriend purchased it the next day. I took the pill about 18 hours later. Immediately, I started to experience side effects like headaches, cramps, and body aches. After a week, my side effects were light cramping and mild headaches. I got my period today! My period usually comes around the first week of every month, so I'm a couple of days late. I've never been so happy to be in so much pain. I normally have bad cramps, so this is nothing new. Be patient and don't stress."

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B after having unprotected sex right after my period ended. He got it for me to ease both our minds. Within a week of taking the pill, I had some side effects, like headaches and dizziness. After 7 days, I received an early period. It was painful, and I had bad cramps. I was worried at first because I had just had my period, but Plan B and you guys' reviews all said bleeding and irregular periods were a common symptom. It really worked! So, no worries if this happens to you! I will suggest no intercourse until you get your next period just in case and a pregnancy test to ease your mind."
