For Emergency Contraception "On January 21, the condom broke. My boyfriend purchased it the next day. I took the pill about 18 hours later. Immediately, I started to experience side effects like headaches, cramps, and body aches. After a week, my side effects were light cramping and mild headaches. I got my period today! My period usually comes around the first week of every month, so I'm a couple of days late. I've never been so happy to be in so much pain. I normally have bad cramps, so this is nothing new. Be patient and don't stress."

For Emergency Contraception "My last period was Aug. 21. I usually have my menstrual for five days, which I did. Two days later, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend, and he came in me twice. I already had Plan B on hand from a previous doctor visit a while back, so it saved me time and money. I took the pill immediately after. The next few days, I began to feel nauseous, headache, and slight cramps on and off for the entire time leading up to my next period. It never came, I ended up missing my menstrual for a whole month and a half. I was 38 days late, to be exact. I kept taking pregnancy tests every other day, they all kept saying negative. But I was still experiencing pregnancy-like symptoms, which caused me to stress. I did the same thing everyone else did, read numerous reviews online, which made me more scared! Anyway, to sum it up, I got my period on Oct 22. Almost two months later, what I experienced is THE PILL DOES DELAY YOUR MENSTRUAL PERIOD! and the pill can cause pregnancy-like symptoms."

For Emergency Contraception "My partner and I had sex on Jan 22. We're ALWAYS careful, but this time the condom broke. After freaking out, I got a Plan B and took it IMMEDIATELY, like within the hour. Didn't have symptoms at first, then I felt more headaches, bad mood swings, and hungry. I knew I hadn't begun ovulating since I didn't have an increase in discharge and my boobs weren't sore. Five days later, I saw pink spotting, got SCARED AS ANYTHING. Thought it was implantation bleeding. It turned bright red the next day with painful cramps. Lasted six days, and I saw clotting. It is now Feb 11th, I should've gotten my period yesterday. I took a pregnancy test... it was negative! So my period either came super early, or it's coming super late. To all my ladies, track your periods! It really does help when it comes to situations like this. If you don't, use an ovulation calculator. Don't stress out, and make sure to take a pregnancy test to rule out everything as that is really the only way to be sure."

For Emergency Contraception "Don't even bother stressing yourself out like I did, because Plan B actually works. On June 25th, I had unprotected sex with my bf, and on that day I was ovulating and my bf wasn't wearing condoms, and I wasn't on birth control pills. I know this is TMI, but he 'came'/finished inside me. So, 2 hours later, I started to get paranoid and decided to take Plan B. Well, let me tell you this: I received so many pregnancy symptoms such as sore breasts, headaches, fatigue, nausea/vomiting, frequent urination, back pains, and cramping. The side effects will have you going insane. The scary part is that a week before my period was due, I saw brown discharge, and I automatically assumed that it was implantation bleeding. The next following week, my period came."

For Emergency Contraception "Girls, if you think it's not going to work, stop sweating it. My boyfriend and I had sex while I was ovulating, and the condom broke, and about 9 hours later, we got Plan B, and I took it. I got my period 2 weeks early, broke out pretty bad, and had terrible headaches, but it's better than pregnancy and taking care of a baby when you aren't ready. Don't worry, it works."

For Emergency Contraception "Took Next Choice One Dose because it was covered by my insurance. Had unprotected sex on Saturday. Took the pill on Monday. Side effects were headache and tiredness. It delayed my period by 4 days, first by spotting. At least I know I'm not pregnant."

For Emergency Contraception "On December 24th, 2019, I had unprotected sex, mind you, it was around one in the morning. He swore up and down he pulled out, and I mean I think he did, but I wasn’t sure! So later that day, around eight at night, I bought a Plan B and took it immediately! I was supposed to get my period on the 26th, but didn’t end up getting it. Two days after, I was feeling nauseous and had a headache at night. I ended up getting it on the 29th! So five days late, but I got it!"

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I had sex, and the condom broke. I'm normally on birth control but had an adverse reaction to a new prescription and stopped. We immediately drove to Walgreens and bought Plan B One-Step over the counter. I was frightened by the amount of side effects people mentioned in previous reviews. All I had was a light headache, and I was tired, but these only lasted 1-2 days. My period started about 10 days after taking the pill (and about 3 days earlier than normal), and it is a very heavy flow, much heavier than normal (which is fine with me if it means I'm not pregnant). Just give it time and try not to worry. It WILL work. $53 is DEFINITELY money well-spent."

For Emergency Contraception "It happens. During my fertile time with zero contraceptives. Took Plan B 43 hours later. Got my period 7 days later for 5 days, then again 9 days later. But hey, I'm not pregnant! It works. No side effects for me other than a light headache 1 hour after taking the pill that lasted a few hours."

The whole month of January was a rollercoaster from headaches to stomach and back pains, but it made my faith in God stronger than ever. Today, January 28th (6 days late), I came on my period!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Got my Mirena inserted in April '19, today is Oct. 17, roughly over 6 months. So far, all the days were nothing but one horrible pain covered with never-ending bleeding. I will dismiss my headaches, almost like horrible pressure and cystic acne (always been envied of my skin), nausea, mood swings, insomnia, feeling depressed, and lack of libido. However, I can’t believe that something that small could put me through this hell. What else can this be called if for the past 6 months I didn’t wear a pad maybe for 5 days tops? This past week it got so heavy and long with so many huge clots, I feel more insecure than I’ve ever had on my worst period day. My spouse is very supportive, but it’s me that is losing patience with it and about to lose my marbles. Will call my gyno the first thing tomorrow morning to have it removed and won’t leave the room until I see it outside my body. I refuse to be so naive as to be told to wait months to see results. Will keep you posted once I have it out."

For Emergency Contraception "Plan B worked!! I took Plan B on August 9 after making out with a partner (not my boyfriend). Precum could have been there, so I took it just in case. My period came a week early on August 20, heavy with bad cramps for about 5 days. I was expecting my second period to come on September 20, but it didn’t come. I panicked because I had pregnancy symptoms like sore/swollen breasts, depression, cramping, headaches, and bad mood swings. I took 3 pregnancy tests, all negative. I was 13 days late on my period, and today I finally got my second period, day 43 in my cycle, but I’m happy I’m not pregnant!!! In my opinion, everyone’s body is different."

For Emergency Contraception "The first thing I want to say is, “DON’T STRESS, it’s not worth it, and DO NOT GOOGLE symptoms” is the worst thing I did. This is my second time taking Plan B, and it worked. I was ovulating the day I took the pill (18 hours later) after having unprotected sex. My period came 2 weeks later. I was having brown spotting for 5 days straight before my period came. The symptoms I had were lower back pain, headaches, frequent urination, anxiety, little fatigue, and brown spotting. I was so stressed out that I decided to take a pregnancy test, and it came out negative. The Plan B pill is very strong, that’s why it works. Next time, we (including myself) have to use protection to prevent going through this because it’s really not worth it unless an accident (condom break, etc.) happens. I wanted to share this because I had the worst 2 weeks of my life thinking I was pregnant, but I want to let you all know that you are going to be fine."

For Emergency Contraception "I took this pill day 2 (8/10/19) of my fertile window about an hour after unprotected intercourse. Please note, I did not realize that I was in my fertile window until a week or so later. My partner did not use the withdrawal method, so we both started to freak out after reading that it wouldn’t work due to it being during the fertile window. About 2 to 3 days after taking it, I developed sore breasts. As the days and weeks went along, I felt every pregnancy symptom you can imagine to include fatigue, frequent urination, sore breasts, headache, and queasiness. In addition, I had diarrhea! I was convinced at times that I was pregnant and the pill had not worked because I literally just didn’t feel right. However, I am very happy that my period started today, 4 days before the expected day. This pill works!"

For Emergency Contraception "I'm writing this to calm the nerves of the constant Internet searches during this uncertainty period between taking Plan B and waiting for your period. I had sex a day before my ovulation day, the condom broke, and we didn't realize till he finished. I started freaking out since I knew that Plan B worked by delaying ovulation. Though my calendar said I would ovulate the next day, it wasn't 100% certain that I was already ovulating or finished ovulating. I took Plan B an hour after intercourse and asked the pharmacists if it would work during ovulation, and the pharmacist told me that it is recommended at any time of the cycle. I experienced headache, bloating, nausea, breast tenderness/swelling, and pre-ovulation discharge till I got my period!"

For Birth Control "I've had the Mirena almost 3 years. I can't get this thing out fast enough! I'm scheduled to have it removed tomorrow and switching to the NuvaRing. Honestly, the best part was no period with only very slight spotting once a month. It did prevent pregnancy. About 6-8 months ago, I noticed a lot of symptoms like anger, depression, anxiety, excessive sweating, headaches lasting a week, but the WORST was hair loss. My hair became very brittle to the point I had to cut it short to blend in the breakage. I went to see my OB doctor 2 weeks ago to get it removed, and she didn't seem to believe the Mirena was causing these symptoms and refused to remove it until I get a second opinion with a rheumatologist, which now I'm scheduled to see next week. My OB finally agreed to take the Mirena out since my estrogen level came back very low. I'm just praying my hair starts to get back to normal with the NuvaRing. I rate it 3 stars just because I loved no period."

For Emergency Contraception "Had sex the day after my ovulation, still in my fertile window according to my app. No birth control on board and no condom! Stupid and never again! Took Plan B One-Step 6 hours later. Experienced every symptom possible for two weeks. Nausea, dizziness, fatigue the first few days. Then headaches. Then mild cramping the remainder of the time. My boobs hurt so bad 4 days leading up to my period, which came one day late and three hours after receiving a negative pregnancy test. I worried the entire time and had panic attacks, my face broke out like never before and I was convinced I was pregnant because of all my symptoms. Me saying try not to worry isn’t going to stop you from worrying, but hopefully my experience will put you at ease a little. Use protection every time!"

For Emergency Contraception "Let me just start off by saying, breathe. Chances are you are fine. My boyfriend and I had our little mistake on a Saturday night around 8 pm. I took Plan B the next day at 10:30 pm. I was experiencing TERRIBLE cramping in my abdomen and very sharp pains in my ribs, and I was still feeling that even 2 weeks after the pill. I was scared out of my mind. I was getting severe headaches and nauseous. I would even get minor heat flashes. But let me tell you, I'm not pregnant. I took a pregnancy test two weeks and two days after my accident, and it came out negative. Even got my period the same day. If I can give any advice, it's STOP SEARCHING THE INTERNET. I know it's hard, ladies, but it makes it so much worse. Just make it two weeks, good luck!!"

For Emergency Contraception "The condom broke. We ran out and got Plan B One-Step less than 2 hours later. After I took it, I had some cramping, headache, dizziness, and the urge to urinate more than normal. I must say, this pill is a lifesaver! I did not experience spotting like some people mentioned, but I did get my period one week later. It was actually right on schedule, no delay at all. I'm thankful that us women have this option out there. I'm so glad I took it right away like it recommends. It works!"

For Emergency Contraception "I hope my experience can help someone calm their nerves. I took Plan B a week after I finished my period, 1 hour after having unprotected sex. A week later, I experienced bleeding for 4 days. Maybe 2 weeks after taking the pill, I had a non-stop headache for 9 days straight, from when I woke up to when I would go to bed. After that, I was nauseous for 2 whole days (I basically convinced myself that I was pregnant). After that, I had light cramping but no period. My period finally came 15 days late (a month and 2 days after taking the pill). It was a very long and stressful waiting period, but it happened. I spent like $100 on pregnancy tests and couldn’t sleep at night, BUT IT WORKED! IT WORKED OUT! Try to relax, you’ll be fine!! (Also, important note: I was 3 days before ovulation, and I’m kind of at the weight limit.) I basically experienced all the symptoms and had an awful month, but the most important thing is that everything turned out fine! GOOD LUCK!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Had Mirena inserted July 2016, have been spotting and bleeding ever since (Nov 2016). Back pain, nausea, cramps, clots, headaches, low moods. Went to doctors who told me to persevere for 6 months and see how it goes, as they cost a lot of money and I can't just have them in and out. Came out feeling more confused, as I don't want the symptoms, and has put a complete stop to my sex life. Was meant to help with heavy periods, not take my life away."

For Emergency Contraception "I was one of the few people who suffered from anxiety because they weren't sure if this pill was effective. Let me tell you, I am the worst with overthinking, and I know what it feels like to be unsure. This pill really does work. Plan B was something I always heard about but never thought I needed until one night of great sex ended with a condom that slipped off. We were both drunk and unaware of what had happened, so to be safe, I decided to take the pill 6 hours after the accident. I keep track of my period dates, and my last period was on the 21st. I took the pill on the 7th of the next month. I suffered some side effects like headaches, back pain, and cramps 2 days before my period. It actually came 5 days early, and it just finished today!"

For Emergency Contraception "I had an incident on 11/26/14, so that same morning, 11/27, I went and got a Plan B. That same day, symptoms kicked in hard: headache, severe nausea, and cramps, and it's still going on because today I started bleeding, 12/5, and my period always comes at the end of the month. I guess this is just confirmation that the pill works and I will still get my period around the end of December."

For Emergency Contraception "I wanted to leave a review because your reviews meant so much to me when I was scared and freaking out: I had unprotected sex Sunday morning, and he didn't pull out in time. I was not on birth control. I got/took Aftera almost exactly 24 hours later because they were out of Plan B. I experienced some slight pain and headaches, but I started my period 5 days later. This absolutely works, even if you can't take it immediately after unprotected sex. I was so scared that because I had waited 24 hours, it was too late, but it wasn't. And just because this is the more generic version, it does work, just remember we've all got different circumstances going on. Happy New Year :)"
