For Emergency Contraception "I had protected sex right after my period ended. Of course, I got paranoid because I'm not on birth control, so I bought the Take Action pill. About a week later, I had a period and haven't stopped bleeding since. It's spotty, so it's gone and comes back. It's day 16, and now I'm still bleeding. No bad symptoms, but I would really love to not have to wear a liner for 3 weeks straight. Very annoying."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had the Mirena inserted 4 months ago due to heavy blood flow and frequent bleeding. I have been bleeding EVERY day since. It really defeated the purpose of having it inserted, being that I am having even more blood flow. It's really hard to have a sexual relationship with my husband while bleeding every day... I'm honestly ready to have this removed!"

For Emergency Contraception "I would just like to share my experience using Plan B. I just want to add that I'm 23 years old, and I have probably taken this pill a bit since I've started to have sex. My last period was on October 3rd-8th. I had sex on the 16th of October and took Plan B about 15 hours later. I usually never really get any other symptoms other than maybe some bleeding and cramping. Back when I first started taking the pill, I really didn't get any side effects other than maybe tingling boobs, and sometimes I would bleed. I started bleeding the 23rd-27th. This was more of like a period, it was pretty heavy. I was supposed to start my period on the 31st of October, and it never came. I didn't think that it was my period because it had a different color than my regular period. My period never came until November 17th. I wanted to just type this up and hopefully help the ladies that are having anxiety. I didn't test this time from the pill."

For Birth Control "In med school, I learned IUDs were so great-reliable, easy, can't be felt once it's in, covered by insurance, and 'locally acting.' I switched roles and got to be the patient. It has been the worst medical experience of my life. In just 10 days of having Kyleena, I was in the deepest depression of my life with extreme tearfulness that was interrupting work. I have lost at least 25% of my hair. I have gained 10 pounds, bled every day, have extreme cramping, bloating, back pain, and breast pain. This device needs to be recalled and taken off the market. It is obviously not locally acting to have all these side effects. After 7 days, I told my doctor the symptoms. She recommended I start anti-depressants, which is bad practice to mask all the symptoms with more drugs with their own side effects. I would also need pain meds, muscle relaxers, diuretics (for bloating), hair growth medication, acne medication. My advice to every patient is not to get this implanted!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The Mirena was a really good decision that I made. But getting it inserted was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life. The pain was so bad when the doctor was inserting it I thought I was going to pass out. I bled for a few days after it was in, minor spotting but very intense cramps. I got it almost a month ago, and I am just starting to spot a little again now, so assuming this is my period that is normally very extreme due to my blood disease I have and not being able to clot, the Mirena is working well for me."

For Emergency Contraception "As everyone, I promised myself I’d make a post if Plan B worked for me. I had unprotected intercourse since the condom broke on Feb 25, a few days after my period. The next day, Feb 26, I took a Plan B, literally a week later, March 5, I got bleeding that was lighter than a usual period that lasted about 4-5 days. I had pregnancy symptoms the whole month and kept freaking myself out, WHICH DON'T DO!! I ended up taking 2 pregnancy tests and a blood test about a week before my expected period, and they were negative. However, my expected period date came and NOTHING, I started freaking out more and questioning if maybe I tested early, and I read all these stories of not knowing you’re pregnant until later on, which terrified me. So I took another test a week after my period was late, and it turned out negative. My period was 10 days late."

For Birth Control "I had nothing but issues with this Skyla IUD. The insertion was fine and wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. But the cramps and heavy bleeding I got the whole time were crazy. I couldn’t even go to work without being in pain. My periods were worse than being on nothing. I have had Skyla for 7 months and just found out yesterday that I got pregnant while on it. It is a complete nightmare. I would not recommend this IUD to anyone."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am only about 4 weeks in since getting the Mirena inserted. My personal experience with insertion was okay. It was quite pinchy, but only for a short few seconds. I found the more relaxed I was, the better I could handle the discomfort. Right after having it inserted, I felt somewhat extreme cramping, which subsided within a minute. The next two days following, I had moderate period-like cramps, which made me quite irritable. The most annoying part is that I haven't stopped bleeding since insertion. People say 'spotting,' but it's a consistent flow of blood, not extremely heavy, but not extremely light either. It's rather annoying because blood doesn't smell great, and how is anyone supposed to enjoy their sex life when they're bleeding!?"

For Emergency Contraception "Condom broke on Saturday night, took Plan B One-Step on Sunday afternoon. After 6 symptom-free days, I started spotting on Saturday, and by Sunday, my period arrived with minor cramps and light bleeding. It takes time to work, so just relax and let the pill do its job! I'm also well over the weight guidelines (I'm 197 lbs), but it worked for me!! Thanks, Plan B!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am 40. I had to change my birth control pills when I got 40. They weren't strong enough for me because I bled really heavy and for 7 days and every other week. So I decided to let my OB/GYN insert the Mirena, which she had tried to get me to get before trying those lighter birth control pills. It's only been a week, but I love not having to think about taking the pill. Also, I was on my period when it was inserted, my period became light the same day and was for three days. For me, the placement was a 3 on a scale of 1-10 with pain. But my cervix is pushed far back and to the side, and they had to pull it towards them to place it, and that pain was a 7. So far, no regrets, only wish I had done it sooner."

For Emergency Contraception "For anyone who is freaking out. I am only 5 weeks postpartum, imagine that. Had sex 2-3 days after period, condom broke. Next day (less than 24 hours), I took Plan B. Now it's been a week later, and I'm bleeding and cramping! From what I see, it's normal and hopefully a good sign I'm not pregnant again!"

For Emergency Contraception "So I had unprotected sex about four days before ovulation, so supposedly on one of the days I’m supposed to be fertile, and I took Option 2 about a couple of hours late (about 9 to 10). A couple of days later, I started bleeding that resembled my period (enough to fill up pads, and it was a dark brown color and sometimes became a light red color). It lasted about as long as my normal period. So it was like I was getting my period super early. Now it’s my period week, and it’s three days late. I’m going to take a pregnancy test now and see if I’m pregnant or not, but has anyone else experienced this heavy bleeding? If so, were you pregnant or not?"

For Emergency Contraception "My partner and I had a minor slip-up, both scared of having a baby (they're pretty expensive). I went to get a Plan B about 28 hours after the incident, scared it didn't work because I had no immediate side effects. Safe to say about 4 days after taking the pill, I had some off-and-on cramps for about a day. On the 5th day, I started bleeding for about 3-4 days. So that $46 I spent was well worth it! It works."

For Emergency Contraception "My periods ended on the 7th of September, and then on Tuesday, 10 September, I had unprotected sex. It was very short, but I was panicking, so I took a morning-after pill the following day, Wednesday, 11 September. A week later, on the 19th of September, I started bleeding for about 4-5 days, and I wasn't sure if it was my normal period or not, so I was panicking almost every day thinking I might be pregnant. My period started on the 16th of October, it was exactly the 28th day (from the first day I bled after taking Plan B). I hope everything works out for anyone who is worried about something."

For Birth Control "I am 3 months postpartum, I have 2 children. My doctor recommended I get Mirena. I did not want it, but she kept insisting that it was the best option and very safe. The day I was getting it, when she placed the Mirena inside my uterus, my whole abdomen felt a HORRIBLE cramp, which lasted a few seconds, then it was over. I went home with only mild cramps. The next morning I woke up, I was in severe pain, I couldn’t walk or sit. My whole abdomen was swollen and hurt if I barely touched it. My entire body felt sore, I was freezing cold and shaking, I went to the ER. They took my blood and checked my vitals, I had a fever and an infection. They took X-rays and an ultrasound, the Mirena was out of place and one of the T’s was poking into my abdomen. I was getting bags of antibiotics and morphine for pain, which didn’t help my pain at all. The pain only went away after it was removed 2 days later. Now, 4 days after removal, I am still cramping, in pain, bleeding, and very nauseous."

For Birth Control "Getting the Kyleena was the worst decision of my life. I thought it would be great because my friend got it and it's been amazing for her. Not the case for me. About 3 months after having it inserted, I have gone completely off the rails with anxiety. I've NEVER had anxiety this bad before, where I can hardly function. I'm crying all of the time for no reason, I feel totally crazy, and having constant panic attacks. My stomach is always in knots and my heart is always racing. My doctor had to put me on an anti-anxiety med that hardly works just to get me to function. I've had it removed for a week now and I'm still having anxiety. For the entire three months I had it in, I never stopped bleeding and when I had sex, I felt an uncomfortable pressure. If this is happening to you, get it removed right away!"

For Birth Control "I thankfully did not have any of the extreme side effects of weight gain, constant bleeding, or severe acne. I actually did not bleed at all after the initial insertion (which ended up making me more paranoid than I anticipated). However, I had constant nausea to the point where there was not a single day where I was able to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner because I always felt so sick. The worst part, though, is that my mental health completely deteriorated. I constantly felt anxious and depressed and did not feel like myself at all. I had two full-blown anxiety attacks on my honeymoon and started seeing a therapist until I realized it was potentially linked to my IUD. I had my IUD removed about a month and a half ago and went back to hormonal pills, and everything about me has completely gone back to normal. Each person is different, but I personally would never use this again."

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I always use condoms. I have used birth control pills before, but I stopped using them a few years ago. I was having protected sex until the condom broke, and we stopped immediately. He never came in the condom, but I am aware that you can still get pregnant with pre-cum, so I bought the Plan B the same day it happened just to be safe. I have been cramping a lot, and I was bleeding for two days, and I just got my period four days later, so it is 100% effective, and I'm glad I'm not pregnant."

For Birth Control "So I’m 26, and I’ve had this IUD for about 9 months now, and it’s been horrible! I’ve been bleeding old blood for months now, and it smells so bad. I literally have to wear tampons every day. I constantly have to take showers, and I’m sick of it. At this point, I’m ready to just get it removed because I can’t even have an active sex life with old, smelly blood coming out of my vagina every day."

For Emergency Contraception "(The first review I wrote was too long, so I can’t go over my entire experience and all of the tips, but I’ll try my best). The pregnancy test came back negative, my bf and I still think we are too young to have kids. I’ve been bleeding for over ten days and somehow still alive. Though I perfectly expected to start my period late due to the pill and the anxiety on the first and second days, it started early. So, trust the pill, talk to your supports (like friends that you trust with very personal information), and pay attention to the smallest signs that separate pill side effects from pregnancy. Here are some that I know: - Implantation bleeding is after 10-14 days. - Nausea closely after taking the pill does not mean you’re pregnant, it’d take a few weeks to months before that happens. (I also recommend not believing everything you read for the negative reviews."

For Emergency Contraception "I'm writing this review to the girls that are exactly like me, reading everything possible about Plan B, worrying myself sick, searching about all the possibilities of pregnancy, etc. On July 6th, I took Plan B. And let me tell you I was worried. I'm only 16, and I definitely can't handle a baby. On the 11th, I got what I thought was my period, regular flow, lasted 4 days, but then I kept reading about breakthrough bleeding, so that made me worry even more since there was still a possibility of pregnancy. I would keep reading about breakthrough bleeding and how I should get my period around my regular time, more than likely a week later. Well, I usually get my period on the 25th, and yesterday, the 29th, I finally got it! So breathe, everything will be fine."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had a Mirena put in when I had my laparoscopy for endometriosis about five months ago. I had a month of heavy bleeding at first, now it's just a few days a month of light bleeding. The rest of the time, there is a light discharge, whatever that is. It is annoying as I have to always wear a pantyliner. Good thing the Mirena has gotten rid of the heavy, painful bleeding I had and my menstrual migraines (which used to last for 7-10 days every month). Yay! The only thing that really upsets me is the acne on my chin, though it's more like rash-type spots than full-on acne. It looks dreadful as my face has red splotches on it, and it's embarrassing. Still, I would prefer to have that than the horrible pains and migraines that I used to."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had the Mirena inserted 3 weeks ago to treat horrible periods, which caused anemia. Insertion was no big deal (I've had 5 c-sections). I spotted a few days after insertion, then pretty heavy bleeding for about a week. I've had zero bleeding now for about 5 days and had the best orgasm of my life yesterday. Oh, and I am 52 and still able to get pregnant (no menopause yet). So glad I didn't let the scary stories stop me from getting it. I feel like I got my life back. I hope it stays like this."

For Emergency Contraception "Listen, y’all, just like the other girls. I vowed to review if I didn’t end up pregnant. So, here I am. Basically, I was having wild sex. Keep in mind I didn’t even know what a fertile window was, and I ended up being at my highest point of ovulation. Nonetheless, I took Plan B a day before my date of ovulation and had to wait it out two weeks before I knew if I was pregnant or not. Zero symptoms until... I started on time and have had the worst period I’ve had in my life. Heavy bleeding and pain, but hey, I’d rather that than a baby!"
