For Emergency Contraception "Okay, so first off, you’re going to be okay. You were probably like me, scrolling through these reviews, trying to find something similar to you. I had unprotected sex on Nov. 30 and took the Take Action pill on Dec. 1. Every time before in this kind of situation, I have always used Plan B or one time I used My Way. I’ve never had a late period or no symptoms with those pills. Exactly one week later from taking the Take Action pill, I had dark brown discharge and bled for 3 days. I freaked out and thought it was implantation bleeding. I waited for my period, nothing came, and I had sore breasts, cramps on some days, and some days I didn’t. I took 2 pregnancy tests, and both were negative. My period finally came on Dec. 31, and I have had really heavy bleeding and severe cramps. Spend the money on Plan B. If your period doesn’t come on time, avoid the stress and take a test. Wouldn’t recommend this pill at all, but it worked."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex on November 23, it wasn't until after we realized the condom had broken. I went to the pharmacy and managed to take Plan B about an hour and a half after sex. I realized after that I was about 3 days before ovulating, so I was at a high chance of getting pregnant. And of course, I had read that Plan B doesn't work if you have already ovulated. On November 30, I started bleeding, this went on for 5 days. I thought it was implantation bleeding because my nipples were also sore and sensitive. But it was a very light flow compared to my regular period, with few blood clots. My period was not due for another 2 weeks as well. A week after this, I had a thick, white, creamy discharge. I had to wear a pad for this. This went on for a week. My period was meant to be due on the 12th of December. I experienced breakouts, cravings, mood swings, extreme bloating, and mild cramps. I was convinced I was pregnant. I got my period today on December 20, eight days late, and I couldn't be happier."

For Emergency Contraception "I've promised myself to write a review of this pill too. I took Escapelle - generic brand. My period ended on the 5th of Dec '19 and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 8th. I took a pill an hour later. He pulled out in time but I was paranoid. We had protected sex on the 11th. Around a week after taking the pill, I bled. I was worried it was implantation bleeding. It lasted 3 days but was light. I panicked. I waited for my period that should fall on the start of the month, I got nothing. I was constantly bloated and nauseous. I thought it would come on the 14th of Jan, a month after my 'short period' but it didn't. I couldn't focus and I cried a lot. My boyfriend was supportive. Although he was scared too, he promised he'd stay with me. It made things better. My breasts were sore and my nipples hurt for days. Until finally, on the 27th of Jan, I got my period! It was normal. My period was 26 days late. If you panicked like me, it's fine to worry. Everything will be fine. :D"

For Birth Control "I had Mirena placed in on September 12, 2014. I just had my second child in July 2014 so the insertion was not painful! I liked the concept of having Mirena but now that I have it, I have not stopped bleeding since!!! I can't have sex ever because I am always spotting! It is just annoying!! I am really considering getting it removed! I would much rather have my period once a month than bleed every single day!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I want to share my experience and hopefully ease your mind. I had sex with a friend on 02/16, it was the 9th day of my cycle (my cycle is always regular and varies from 28 to 30 days). We were a bit drunk, so the condom got stuck inside of me with a lot of precum in it. I took the pill 6 hours after that. I had no immediate symptoms, however, a week after taking it, my breasts were super sore, and I couldn’t get up from my bed. I had no spotting, but two weeks after taking the pill (one week before my scheduled period), I started to have intense cramps and mild bleeding. The next day, I got my normal period, 6 days before scheduled! I got on birth control immediately because, honestly, the pill makes you feel like you’re pregnant. Be safe and good luck :)!"

For Birth Control "I had the Skyla in for 6 years: I replaced it once after 3 years. After reading all the horrible reviews of IUDs, I hesitated getting one for a full year. I eventually took the plunge, out of fear of becoming pregnant. Insertion was uncomfortable, but bearable. The majority of the time, I forgot I had the thing in. No cramps, no bleeding, no acne, no weight gain-zero side effects. I know my experience is in the minority, but I wanted to leave this review so others could see that not every person has issues with IUDs. My experience was overwhelmingly positive."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’m peri-menopausal, 49-year-old, and have had very heavy bleeding for the past few years, which got progressively worse until last year when I had an ablation and Mirena inserted in December 2020. We’re now in May 2021. I bleed 20+ days with a break of maybe 8 or 9 days. Starts with spotting for a few days, followed by a period, then more spotting. My sex life with my partner is non-existent. I get PMS symptoms, sore breasts, bloating, constipation. I don’t bleed as heavily as I used to, but it’s just so prolonged I’m sick of it. I’m calling my GP this week to arrange removal."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've had my IUD in for 12 months now, and since it was placed, it's been nothing but a nightmare. The bleeding has become daily and hasn't stopped in 2 months. I don't know if I should go have it removed or keep trying to wait it out and see if it stops."

For Birth Control "I had the Liletta inserted shortly after my second child was born. While on Liletta, I did notice an extreme uptick in my sex drive, which has been great. But, like others, my anxiety was out of control, moods were up/down, there was an odd odor all the time. But the constant bleeding was what had me mostly concerned. I literally bled nonstop. It would be consistent for three weeks, wane off for two, back for a few days, away for another few days, etc. It was awful. I complained to my OB, and he chalked it off to "your body is getting used to it," etc. Finally, one and a half years after insertion, I’m two days post-removal (had a Mirena put in on Wednesday after getting the Liletta out), and I feel awesome. No pain, physically lighter. My jeans fit better-no bloating, my mood is incredibly brighter-no odor, and NO BLOOD! My experience with the Liletta was not a favorable one."

For Birth Control "I had Liletta inserted at Planned Parenthood about 4 1/2 months ago after being frustrated with my birth control pills. Most reviews here are negative, so I thought I’d share my positive experience. The insertion was uncomfortable, but the pain was bearable for me and was quick. I drove myself home after. I have not had any weight fluctuations that are abnormal (I am 20, 5’9 and 130 lbs). I did have light bleeding for 2 weeks, but my period has now stopped. I hate getting my period, so I am okay with taking a quick test to make sure I’m not pregnant to be safe. Hope this helps!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Mirena gave me my life back. It’s not perfect, but I gave it time, and it has been good for me. I tried controlling my endometriosis with oral contraceptives, with nasty side effects and little success. I was really scared to try the Mirena IUD because it’s invasive, and I was so tired of side effects, but I had few options left. I spotted a lot for 3 months with some cramping, but now, at the 6-month mark, I have very little bleeding and hence very little pain. This is a huge improvement. In terms of side effects, my skin isn’t great, but it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make. Without this IUD, I would have no quality of life."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex a day after my period was over, and the condom we used broke, and he didn't notice until we were finished. (Thank God he noticed!) I went to the store the next morning when they opened and got the Plan B pill and took it about 14 hours after the accident. I started bleeding about 5 days after taking the pill, and I just had my period a week ago, so don't panic if this happens to you too. Anyways, I killed myself with worrying, probably gained like 500 pounds from stress eating, but I got my period today! It's all okay, thank you Plan B. I will not be hooking up anymore, that was just way too scary to go through for any guy."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm looking for reviews to see if I made a bad decision. I'm 46, and I had the device inserted on December 4, 2019, to help reduce my heavy periods. Well, today is February 17, 2020, and I'm still bleeding! Every day!! I'm so tired of using Kotex and tampons, I don't know what to do. Plus, I have acne and some emotional instability. I had a visit with my doctor on February 7, and she said to give it another month. Well, we'll see. I'm leaning towards having it removed in a month, yet I'm so eager to have no more periods!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had the Mirena inserted 4 months ago. They say that the bleeding is abnormal in the first six months. But really, bleeding for an entire 4 months with just a few days of no bleeding is ridiculous. I am so tired of wearing pads and having to worry about the bleeding. It puts a damper on a lot of things. The bleeding isn't heavy, but it is enough to have to wear a pad constantly. I hope when the 6-month mark hits, this will clear up a little more. The pain is not a problem. I had three kids and had no problem with the pain. It is the bleeding, the constant bleeding, that gets on my last nerve. I will let it roll until the six-month mark and hope for a change."

For Birth Control "Alright ladies, my experience with Mirena entails no gruesome or terrifying stories that will make you run for the hills. My experience with Mirena has been fairly good. I got Mirena approximately 6 months ago. Beforehand I was entirely frightened due to the horrible reviews that people post on the internet. But let me just straighten this out. Some people do have bad experiences but those people are the ones who feel obligated to narrate their story to the world. So I'll be the one to write something positive. Slight pain during the insertion, nothing worse than cramps. A month of irregular bleeding. Only to be followed by four months of glorious period-free time. I occasionally get spotting but it isn't anything bad at all."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've had the Mirena for about 3 1/2 years. At first, I experienced bleeding for about 4-6 months with only a few days of not bleeding in between (like some have said). I got it inserted after I gave birth to my son. After those first months of bleeding passed, my periods became light and only lasted a few days. I love this because before I was a heavy, heavy bleeder! But recently, I've noticed way more acne, along with bleeding (spotting) every 2 weeks. Now all of a sudden, I had a heavy period again along with cramps and the same old stuff! I'm kinda scared because it has always worked extremely well for me! I wonder if all this is because it's getting closer to the 5-year mark! Can anyone relate?"

For Emergency Contraception "GIRLS, READ THIS. I am a teenager (18), and I had my period on 9/16, and then on the last day of my period, 9/21, I was with a guy that I did not think I would have sex with. It was my first time. I was stupid, and he kept saying he didn't know if he finished (I think he did). Then, 1 hour later, I took Plan B without thinking about anything. Those days were the hardest because I went on Google and searched so many things. DO NOT DO THAT. A week later, I started bleeding for 3 days, but it wasn't my period. At this point, I thought it was implantation bleeding. I was supposed to get my period on 10/15, but 2 days passed, then 5 days passed, THEN IT'S A WEEK. At this point, I started seeing how much abortions cost and stuff like that. I got my period today, 10/22. 8 DAYS LATE. Girls, please be patient and relax. This month has gone by the slowest and honestly, so stressful. DO NOT WORRY, TRUST ME."

For Emergency Contraception "Girlfriend and I had sex, condom broke and didn't realize till we finished. She was not on birth control and we were freaking out. She took the pill about 5 hours later, and for the next 2 weeks had some mild symptoms and light bleeding. Confirmed she was not pregnant a few weeks later. Pill does miracles, don't worry about the statistics (just there in case it happens to not work). If you take it before 24 hours, I'd personally say you have a 100% chance of it working."

For Emergency Contraception "Y'all, I was in your place… stressed as anything! I was terrified I was pregnant, and I was convinced I was. Every time I thought I had a symptom, I had it (obviously it was all in my head). I took Plan B on May 24th, 2021, after some foreplay gone wrong (semen ended up in my vagina, or so I believed). Anyways, I was freaking when my June period skipped altogether! Nothing showed in June except two brown spots, which I was convinced was implantation bleeding. I wasted at least $50 since I took Plan B in pregnancy tests, all showed up negative. Well, today, 53 days after I took Plan B, I finally started my period again!!! And when I say started, I mean HEAVY. I haven’t been this heavy with my periods in years!!! But I don’t care, I finally started!! The pill works just different for everyone! Please, please don’t do what I did and stress yourself out so much you make yourself sick. Stay off the internet and just wait, I know it’s hard, but it has to be done."

For Birth Control "I never write any reviews. I feel like I have to after 2 years of using Kyleena. The side effects are way too much for anyone to handle the pain. In the past, I have had gallstones, 17-hour labor, a 10-pound baby, and never had this much pain in my life. Also, the bleeding was out of control and spotting all month. No sex drive, depressed, an overwhelming sadness like life is not worth living, weight gain, acne, anger, thought I was pregnant, vomiting, breasts hurting, truly unstable. The doctors wanted to put me on antidepressants - no way! I should be happy: new wed, new home, new car. WHY DO I FEEL LIKE THIS??? I decided to remove Kyleena and put in a copper IUD. OMG, now life is great, periods are normal again, having amazing sex, no issues, feeling happy, feeling amazing. Everyone told me it was stress, and in my mind, NOPE... IT WAS MY KYLEENA IUD... no more hormone IUD ever again. Be careful, ladies."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have had Mirena for one month and a week… Genuinely, I thought I would be happy with Mirena, but I am not. Every single day is bright red bleeding. I have simply given up and bought in bulk period products from Costco: maxi pads and tampons. I’ve never spent this much money on period products. I know exactly what my OB is going to say: 'Give it the whole 3 months,' just like what she said about the copper IUD… So I am going to get my hemoglobin checked and wait this stupidity out a month or two more. I guess Mirena is doing her duty 100% because I am not having sex with my husband, thus cannot get pregnant, which is the whole point! No acne, no cramps, no sex. No cramps is nice, I guess, but I just get surprise bleeding, yay. I’ve bled on 3/4ths of my panties and leaked on my bed like 5x just because that’s how heavy the blood is."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had Mirena in January 2021 for heavy bleeding. I’m still bleeding. Most of the first 50 days of bleeding was light. Then I had about a week of no bleeding and thought, oh, maybe this thing is going to work. Nope, I am bleeding again, but heavier and with clots. Bad headaches from it too, I think. I scheduled to have an ablation. Has anyone else tried that? I feel like I’m going to end up having a hysterectomy. I’m definitely not liking Mirena."

For Birth Control "7 months since insertion. Pros: no pregnancy so far, don’t have to remember to take pills or shots, etc., no condoms. Cons: irregular, erratic bleeding, cramping, back pain, damn near growing a beard, no sex drive (and my husband is hot), weight gain, depression, anxiety, angry all the time, no motivation, a deep desire to lay in bed and sleep all day, every day, months of bleeding, an altered sense of my normal reality. Overall: I hate it!!! I want to feel like me again, but the doc keeps saying to wait it out. What am I waiting for?.... complete loss of confidence and self-worth?"

For Emergency Contraception "So if you’re reading this, please take a deep breath, because I know you’re freaking out. I took the Take Action morning-after pill probably between 6-8 hours after having the condom break. I took the pill 6 days before my period was due. The few days following, I was irritable, extremely bloated, and eating nonstop. I woke up to really bad cramps and bleeding 7 days later. It worked. I have used Plan B many times in my life, and it never has failed. This was the first time with the Take Action, the cramping and bleeding are heavier and last longer. Yes, the bleeding and cramping are worse, and people rate this low for this reason. If you’re taking this pill, I would rather bleed for a week or two longer versus being pregnant, am I right? So honestly, if you don’t want to spend the extra money, and you’re fine with bleeding, it’s fine. Like I said, I’ve used these pills many times without fail - you will bleed between a week or two after taking this pill."
