"The pain of the injection is beyond painful. I will not be taking this again. The only way would be if it came in a shot type. I have endured a lot of pain. Just got a new knee. I would rather have another knee surgery than to ever take this shot again. Also, I received this injection as a sample."

"Been on Taltz for about five months now, and it worked almost immediately on my psoriasis. The arthritis, I believe, is slightly better, but the psoriasis it knocked out literally with the first dose. Very happy with it."

"I'm a 60-year-old male, in good condition with no health issues other than mild-moderate PsA for 20+ years. My first dose of Taltz was in Nov. 2022. I came down with terrible food poisoning about 10 days thereafter and never went back on the drug. Though medically unsubstantiated, I believe there was a correlation. Took another chance with the first dose in Sep '23 and the second 4 weeks later. Up until my second dose, no side effects at all. Then I came down with a sore throat, cough, and hoarseness, which persisted for about two weeks then went away. However, my bowel habits drastically changed in terms of increased frequency, urgency, and quality with loose/diarrhea stools. As of Nov 8, things have gotten a little better alternating between the former and normal consistency stools, but I am NOT back to normal. Although I found Taltz to help in this short time, I'm off the drug and won't go back on an IL-17 inhibitor given its potential impact on the gut microbiome and risks with IBS/IBD."

"Ok, so I'm only 45 days in after 18 months on Otezla, and I could not be more excited about Taltz. For the past 18 months, I experienced nausea twice a day after taking Otezla. I tried everything - with foods, without, etc., and nothing seemed to work. That drug did happen to give me relief - 7/10 from the arthritis, though skin conditions didn't change much, but they weren't 'that bad.' 45 days in on Taltz and I feel like a million bucks. The arthritis relief is 9/10, the skin condition has improved, and I have zero nausea and only have to do one simple injection a month."

"I've taken Taltz for psoriatic arthritis for a few months. I want to know if anyone else has experienced this odd effect. It has helped my hands, feet, knees, and shoulders greatly. But I alternate injections in my right and left upper arms. The second month, it left a goose egg knot on my upper arm. That was gone in two days, but then I thought I had injured my shoulder. I could not raise my arm without terrible pain deep in my shoulder. This lasted for 2-3 weeks but got better. Last week, I injected this month's shot in my left arm. Swelling was much worse. Two days later, I woke up and had the same shoulder issue on this side. I cannot raise my arm. It kills me to move my shoulder. I can't fix my hair, drive with two hands. Very deep, sharp shoulder pain. It happened a day or two after each shot in each arm. I've never had shoulder issues. What in the world?"

"Had my first Taltz injections today. I have taken Humira, Cosentyx, Simponi, and Enbrel for my condition and never had such a painful injection. I wonder if they are using square needles? Over the years, Humira especially has somehow managed to make their auto injectors almost painless, but the Taltz injections were by far the worst."

"Very helpful with obliterating PsA symptoms that had been painful enough to wake me at night, and incidentally clearing up undiagnosed skin effects I had for decades. When choosing the injection site, I imagine my belly as a clock face and the digits corresponding to the month. Then I don't have to remember where I injected it last."

"Currently about 3 months in. I also have psoriasis, and it almost immediately started going away. Each injection, my psoriasis was noticeably better the next day and is basically clear now, just some deep redness that takes time to heal on a few spots. I have gotten a couple of eyelid infections since starting, I get headaches, which is uncommon for me, and the fatigue I get from it is pretty bad, but not much worse than Humira. In my opinion, this is more painful than Humira or etanercept, and honestly, those didn't bother me, but this one I hesitate at times taking. I get many injection pens that don't work as intended, and I have to have them replaced, usually from getting stuck inside themselves. For me, at this point, I find it more effective on my psoriasis than my psoriatic arthritis (PSA), but still effective on PSA, and honestly, nothing has worked fantastic for me with either condition, but it has been a blessing quickly with psoriasis."

"I had disagreed with my rheumatologist when she wanted to switch from another biologic to Taltz. I had a psoriasis flare, which was the reason for the change. I had felt better on that medication than I had in years until I had a flare. I was right to disagree. Since starting with Taltz, my eyelids have become painful, my eyes feel dry and painful, I have more arthritic pain than I had on the previous biologic, but the worst side effect has been fungal skin infections from my neck to my legs. I will not be taking another injection of this medication."

"My body reacts really well on Taltz, with a rapid onset of relief noticeable within hours. I had tried Otezla and had all the major side effects as well. In 2025, I had to change from Taltz to Skyrizi due to insurance issues with CVS Caremark, which I got to experience a lot of side effects from Skyrizi and no relief. Fought for 3 months with my insurance to get back on Taltz! Not changing! Love the relief Taltz has provided."

"I have suffered from PsA for 40 years now, and nothing really seems to bring it under control. I have recently started on Taltz, just had the second dose, and I am very disappointed in this injection. Apart from it being very painful to inject, I have painful swelling around the site for a week or so and a constant cough, and no improvement from the arthritis."

"Got diagnosed when I was 19. I have tried Humira, Enbrel, Stelara, and Taltz. Stelara was the least painful for me and worked best for my psoriasis but did not help my arthritis. Taltz is the only medication that has helped my arthritis. I do not like this shot, though. It hurts the worst going into the skin compared to the others I have tried. I also have a reaction every month, a giant red welt on the injection site that is hot and swollen for a week after the shot. I usually administer the shot in my thigh, so it also causes me to limp for a day or two. Wish I had another option to try that did not put me at risk for fertility issues, but apparently this is my last option for now."
