Hydrocodone for Pain "30 mg was good, but 40 mg took my pain away, it was heaven. Except that 40 mg made me so tired and drowsy that all I did was sleep. I couldn't function, so that's not acceptable. I would go to bed at 7 pm and wake up at 4 pm the next day! So I'm going back to 30 mg with breakthrough meds. But here is the thing I can't figure out... I take up to 10-15 mg hydrocodone for breakthrough pain ON TOP of my Hysingla ER 30, but that doesn't make me sleepy, it actually kind of keeps me up at night. How bizarre is that? It's the same dosage but reacts completely different. That annoys me because the 40 worked perfectly!!! Except for the severe drowsiness. How can Hysingla ER 40 mg be so much more sedating than Hysingla ER 30 mg with 10-15 mg hydrocodone on top???"

Hydrocodone for Pain "This drug didn't work as well as short-acting hydrocodone in lower doses. I had to take up to 20 mg of Tramadol per day for breakthrough pain on top of the 30 mg of Hysingla. It put me to sleep, made me unable to think clearly or efficiently, and didn't allow me to organize my day or complete my tasks as well as I previously had. I had to take it around 6 PM to avoid breathing issues when I lay down, and as a result, by the time I got up in the morning, I no longer received any pain relief from it - there is no way it works for 24 hours. I'm now in the process of returning to Norco, and while still taking hydrocodone, I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms from getting off the Hysingla. It is far more dangerous and addictive than it is promoted."

Hydrocodone for Pain "Hysingla really keeps the pain level from my fibromyalgia in check. I no longer feel I am on a pain scale roller coaster. I stay around a 3-4 most days. Others sometimes a 6, but no longer am I at an 8-20 on the pain scale. I also love that I don't feel dopey or tired from the Hysingla version like with Norco."

Hydrocodone for Pain "24-hour medicine for pain. I only got 6 hours of minimal relief. Started on the 20 mg for 1 month, then Dr. switched me to 40 mg for 1 month, then 30 mg for 1 month. It always seemed to start working long after I took it, about 12 hours, and made me extremely sleepy and tired, along with pain. In the 3 months I took it, I gained 15 pounds without even eating more or differently because I was constantly nauseous with it. Who wants food when queasy? I have been prescribed an instant release pain med and have been on it for 2 days. It works great with no side effects, and I have lost the 7 lbs of the 15 that Hysingla made me gain. Hopefully, the other 8 lbs will come off quickly too because the weight gain from the drug caused my A1C to go"

For Pain "Ruined my life by drinking alcohol 12 hours after taking 5 mg hydrocodone. I got really sleepy and woke up to extreme brain fog, paranoid, weird feeling in front of my head. Life turned into a nightmare, and I am surprised how I made it alive that day. I, to this day, 6 months after, am still having extreme brain fog and feel my IQ has been reduced a lot from mixing with alcohol. I have this constant cloudy feeling in front of my head. I now take prescribed risperidone and Wellbutrin, which helps with the fog, but it's still there."

For Pain "Extreme and persistent back pain has softened with this drug and a muscle relaxer. This drug makes you drowsy, though. Make sure you eat beforehand, or else it really hits you hard."
