"Took flurbiprofen for psoriatic arthritis but caused elevated AST and ALT liver enzymes around 50 U/L. Worked mildly better than enteric-coated aspirin, but I need to keep my liver enzymes in the normal range for my doc to give me methotrexate. And I need the methotrexate more than I need this."

"Experienced upset stomach and diarrhea - not much in the way of relief for hip and shoulder pain (possibly arthritis or bursitis)."

"This medicine is incredibly good. I suffer from costochondritis, scleritis, and arthralgia of the joints and muscles. I was prescribed flurbiprofen by the specialist treating me at the eye hospital. But it worked wonders on my costochondritis and joint pain. Just a 50 mg twice a day made my pain vanish throughout the day until it wears off. It works far better for my pain than the tramadol and naproxen prescription from my GP. I only take flurbiprofen as a last resort, ONLY when my tramadol and naproxen are not bringing down my pain. It's the only one that brings the pain down completely, or if I take a 100 mg, the pain just vanishes. But please take it ONLY when needed or as prescribed. It did cause me intestinal bleeding, so I only take it sparingly when nothing else works, and I don't want to go into the hospital for morphine, which most times the ambulance service does when I get picked up during a severe episode of costochondritis attacks. It is powerful and good."
