For Allergic Rhinitis "Couldn't wait to write a review on this drug. I've been suffering with what I thought were sinus issues for the past 3 years, seen specialists, and they also diagnosed me wrong. Felt extreme and chronic fatigue on a daily basis and was being signed off work for that. This was causing me depression, and I was ready to start anti-depressants not long ago until a few weeks ago, my eyes started burning upon waking up in the mornings. I went to see a GP and was prescribed 180mg of Telfast x1 a day, and these have been absolute life savers. Words cannot describe how much better I am feeling. I have my life back and energy back. The only side effect was vivid dreams, but they are tolerable. I'm now on these long term."

"Taking 180 mg daily of fexofenadine for angioedema. Not had an attack for the last month whilst on it, so am pleased. No side effects other than quite bad dreams. The alternative in not taking it is severe facial swellings, which will give other people bad dreams, so intend to keep using!"

For Urticaria "Worse experience with this. I will never take it again. I only had one tablet, and within 10 minutes, my ears were ringing and thudding. Made me very drowsy. Woke up at 4 a.m. Severe night sweats, awful dreams. Have felt sick and dizzy all day and not with it. Dry mouth and headache. I don’t know if I just had a bad reaction, but I never experienced anything like this. I’m a single mom and had to look after my daughter, feeling like this was a very scary experience for me! Never again, and these should not be allowed to be bought over the counter. Awful and has put me off taking any type of this medication now."

For Urticaria "I experienced facial hives for the first time at age 55, possibly due to a new face cream containing bee venom. I discontinued the face cream but found that changing products and even using no facial products still caused urticaria. I was prescribed 180 mg fexofenadine, which cleared the urticaria immediately. My pharmacist said it was safe to take daily indefinitely. I have been taking this drug for six months now until my GP advised me to stop taking it today. I have also put on 8 kg in weight in the last six months and did not realize that there may be a connection with the fexofenadine. I’ve just read that antihistamines can increase one’s appetite. I had put the weight gain down to the menopause and poor willpower. My asthma has also gotten worse in recent weeks, and my dreams are more vivid than ever. No idea if fexofenadine is responsible. Let’s see how the next few months pan out."

Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "I took two 180-mg doses of Allegra for hay fever on two consecutive nights. The day after the first dose, I experienced mild, intermittent nausea and reduced appetite. The morning after the second dose, I was bedridden for 3 days with severe nausea, intermittent sweats and chills, aberrant thoughts and dreams, and a headache. I did not vomit or have diarrhea, nor did I have an abnormal temperature. As I write this on the fourth day, I am just getting up and eating a little. This was like no stomach flu I've ever had -- I feel as though I have been poisoned. I firmly believe that my illness is a side effect from the Allegra."
